Reviews of Lyttelton Timeball Station
B.If you want a view of the port and surrounding area this is the place to come. Kids had a great time watching container ships being loaded. Park just off the road and it’s a short walk up the hill. Nice bit of history with information boards to read what the Timeball was all about. Worth visiting if you are in the area
B.This is our preserved history. It tells our maritime story and the worlds enlightenment using science in practical every day ways.
г.Nice view of the harbour. Good place to just sit and relax while enjoying the view.
D.This was an interesting place. Parking is a little way up on the opposite side of the road, the Time all is above it. It's a one way street, so you carry on the same direction then it will put you back in town.
A.No worth coming all the way from Christchurch for it.
However, if you're already in the area, it is interesting to learn the history about it.
View of the port that can be fascinating.
B.Lovely place to visit. Shame that the keeper's quarters couldn't be rebuilt but the restorers have done a wonderful job. Gorgeous views of the harbour!
