Reviews of The Toy Collector

Excellent. The new site has lots of room to give the collection justice. My 10 year old loved it and had lots of ideas for his dioramas. I enjoyed the nostalgia of seeing favourite toys me and my family had and those we had really wished to have! The displays reflect the specific interests and enthusiasm of the curator. There is a great sense of fun and humour - as there should be in a toy museum. Would also be great for reminiscence work with older adults / those with dementia. My only niggle was that there were no Sindy /pedigree or Tressy dolls to show the development and breadth of fashion dolls. The shop is also nicely competitive.

You walk into a small shop and think " oh nice" BUT THEN you go to the toy museum out the back , WOW words fail me,. Amazing,,. I have never seen anything like it, , I am so pleased I had brought my elderly father with me,. He was amazed also especially with the vintage toys,. Definitely worth the fee!

It was absolutely wonderful and amazing the years of collection all individually put into there own categories. Collectors would have a ball.

I was expecting couple of old toys, dusty, and scattered all over. What my wife and I, along with our 3 and 6 year old daughters found, was simply a magical world. My girls were in awe, and for the first time ever (not even uttered during Disney World trip), stated "This is so much fun, this is the best thing ever, I love it, see this, see that, WOW". From grown up perspective, the respect and care that has been taken in placing the various toys, to periods or types, was stunning. I found so many things that reminded me of my childhood, and my girls also found toys from there current childhood. Four things: 1) Go there, with or without your kids! 2) Bring your or your kids old toys and donate it there - it is about the most respect ever you can give an old toy. 3) Hope that the Toy Collectors will find an even bigger places, because they are already outgrowing this one. 4) Spread the word. I didn't know I needed this, but I now know I and everyone else needs a Toy Collector/Museum in their city!
