A good selection of items for a small museum, could use some TLC in the garden. Also some of the exhibits were outside where nature is hammering them to bits but very nice.

Nice museum. They have a big range of cars including a few racing cars, old technology including printers and computers and an old fire truck and station setup. Great place to take kids to.

Set on a farm like area it has been around a long time think they started building it around late 60's.
it offers a very unique experience of New Zealand’s technological past, and is close to the center of Christchurch and not far from the Airport.
Well worth going if this type of thing is your cup of tea as a lot of work has been put in to make this an enjoyable experience. Even if your not into these things you can appreciate the hard work and life long ambition put into it.
It has an on site cafe you can use even if you don't go into the museum, which is great if someone in your party doesn't want to go into the museum. The cafe is open to the public 5 days a week, Wednesday to Sundays. Offers barista coffee and plenty of fresh food well worth stopping for something to eat.
Hard to find places that have had so much passion put into it the collection would never be able to be replaced now days or would cost a fortune. Great to have in the city and needs to be kept going so future generations can experience it.
Well done.

We had a great time visiting with our car club.

Good little transport museum. Great range of vehicles, housed in buildings around a courtyard. Would have been good if each exhibit could be walked straight through with an exit at the end instead of having to backtrack and go out where you came in. Has a cafe onsite which looked good, but we didn't eat there.

A hidden gem... great museum. Check out the collection of fascinating cars, old horse drawn carriages, old racing cars and bikes, old print and computer technology plus a fire station. And a lovely cafe on site. Child friendly too 😊

Great place for the mechanically minded and kids interests in vehicles. No coverages between buildings, better for warmer weather.
Cafe antler.. expensive food and limited choices. Food was very nice though.

Great place to look at older cars ... many are in the restoration process or past it but its still an adventure. If you go as a club usually you will be invited to working and storage areas others don't get a chance too .. well worth a look at and the coffee shop is nice too for a hot or cold drink and something light to eat

Typical NZ museum, lots of exhibits crammed in, slightly confusing layout, but very friendly staff. Worth an hour. Kids kept rushing outside to see low flying aircraft landing at the CHCH airport.

Nice little museum with interesting things to see and friendly and helpful staff. Can't speak for the cafe, had a pie and it was nice. I also did a blacksmithing course here which had to be the best location for it.

A somewhat tired museum, however some interesting exhibits. The gardens between each building are pleasant however can make visiting the different sites difficult in the rain.

My special needs brother & I had an awesome day here today, Friday 13th January 2017. He was rapt with finding the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Car, his favourite movie! AND all the old cars & fire engines plus every thing else :) We had a lovely lunch at the Antler Cafe on site, before we started out step into the past. Then many hours later a reviving coffee, followed by an ice cream :) Lovely freindly staff, very helpful. Thank you so much for our great day out.

Worth a visit if you like old cars, a little run down, but the trees between buildings are lovely to walk through.

(Translated) 👍👏👏👏👏
This museum is out of the ordinary. The person who founded it was truly inspired. She was also fortunate to have enough space to store all of the items she obtained. Super nice. To visit absolutely.

Ce musée sort du commun. La personne qui l'a fondé était vraiment inspirée. Elle a aussi eu la chance de disposer de la surface suffisante pour entreposer tous les objets quelle s'est procurée. Super sympathique. A visiter absolument.

(Translated) This place keeps the evolution of diverse machines used in tillage roads and other typography places. It also has a wide range of very well maintained and identified rare cars. The space also has a cafe and a very attentive service to tourists. In addition to visiting the spaces that tell part of the history of New Zealand it is still possible to admire nature because the museum is in a wooded and very pleasant area.
