C.one of the best in the world , for describing an explosive industry And , life that thankfully,we havred moved on from,, And more thankfully benefitted much from but also lost much from and it's taking a long time for our local area to heal its water and harbor and land as there are still mine holes that can kill a child in a second in these hills and we don't know particularly where they are

M.Visited on Waitangi Weekend and the entry fee was waived. $5 per adult is a very fair price and I would have happily paid it. Very friendly lady at the desk with some interesting info.
Some good displays on the old Freemason Lodge, local Silver Band, old tools and fashion, the old lock-up jail, etc.
Will certainly visit again!
O.A little museum, I came here in March
J.A great little museum, the Masonic items are of particular interest since they're not normally available for exhibit and the old town jail is a great place to scare the kids. Check out the huge whale vertebra too!
M.Off the beaten track of the Coromandel township, well worth visiting. Great photographs and history of the families who resided in the district and of the mining days. Displays are clearly labelled.
