It is a really beautiful scenic situation between u and the nature. Make sure u visit there at a HIGH TIDE. Else you would not see it blows. Google maps confuses u by showing u likely 2kms to go if u follow the directions. But there is a point where u have to park and walk. But still drive till u see the notice which indicates "No parking beyond this point". Absolutely love this place. Dnt ever lean on to the fence while watching it, as the chances are to end u down in it in a lucky day of urs if it breaks..

The final destination may be a bit underwhelming after the long slightly uphill walk. From the viweing deck, the views are a bit conatrained by the trees growing around the deck. The views of Jacks Bay is stunning along the wall. The approach road is a bit of a gravel road. May not be optimum for 2 wheel drives during or after a heavy shower

Little workout uphill. It provides you an excellent coastal view. But if you want to see the real beauty, you need to be at correct time. Target for high tide for spectacle.

Stunning view on the way to Jack's Blowhole. A conventional 20 minutes walk. But you take your time. We didn't really appreciate the Blowhole coz it's dark down. On the way, you will climb 126 steps stair and another 45 (I forgot the exact steps, oopps) but more or less it's in 40's. This place is a must do when you're in Catlins/Owaka.

A Long Long Long walk to the blowhole. Walk past a coastal Farmland and walk until u see a the DOC sign in pic below. 1 hr walk in. Another hour return. Make sure you have time.

The walking track is very enjoyable passing fields of sheep and coastal views. We wasn’t that impressed as the waves didn’t really ‘blow’ up but it was nice to watch the waves crashing. It was something to do but not worth the de tour along gravel road for about 5 miles. One of the bridges is closed so you have to drive all around the lake which was a pain! There is long drop toilets at the car park. The beach was nice

Something different to check out. Cool place that is quite different from your normal blow hole. Very deep as well.

It's about a 30 minute hike from the car park to the end of the trail and parts of the hike will require some effort if you've taken some time off from your daily workout. The wind can be awful in this neck-of-the-woods, so be prepared for inclement weather, even if you think no rain will come. The end of the trail reveals a lovely vista. You'll be grateful you made the effort.

Went at high tide but it wasn't that spectacular. Beautiful but not really worth the long, draining walk to get there. Maybe make sure you go on a day with high sea swells?

It is an easy walk to the blowhole, there are a set of stairs, and the track would be slippery after rain. Along the track you can get views of the coast to the north and the south. There is a small viewing platform that allows you to look down to the blowhole and the ocean rushing through it. If you're in the area you should check it out.

Track would be slippery after rain in the later parts of it...some areas are steep and have a few steps to climb..blowhole a bit disappointing as tied out... would be good at King tide or heavy swell to get full effect.

This is one of the most stunning places I've been to. The walk is longer than the sign indicates!! More like half an hour each way rather than 20 mins.

After a good, undulating, brisk 20 minute walk, you will reach a sturdy viewing platform overlooking a reasonably spectacular blowhole nestled amongst natural vegetation.

We’ve been here at high tide but unfortunately we couldn’t see water goes up( •́ ̯•̀ ) However it’s nice walk to blowhole so It’s alright even if you cannot see that. Good luck 👍🏻

The blowhole is then a nice destination, at which it is advisable to linger a bit and observe everything around. We recommend! (Original) Wunderschöner kurzweiliger Spaziergang, teils relativ steil bergauf/bergab mit vielen Postkartenmotiven. Das Blowhole ist dann ein schönes Ziel, an dem es sich empfiehlt etwas zu verweilen und alles rundherum zu beobachten. Sehr zu empfehlen!
