Reviews of Riff Raff Statue & Embassy Park - Celebrating Richard O'Brien & The Rocky Horror Show

Fantastic to see this area of Hamilton themed to The Rocky Horror Picture Show in honour of its creator, Richard O'Brien. He is said to have been inspired by the years he spent watching the Late Night Double Feature Picture Show at The Embassy Theatre (which previously stood on the site) and "cutting hair and daydreaming" in the barber shop out the front, precisely where the statue now stands.
If my review and photos were helpful for you, please give me a thumbs up 👍🏼 Thanks!

Rocky Horror fans will obviously appreciate it as a place to pay homage to Richard. It is pretty simple to find on the main road along the river.

A wonderful tribute to The Rocky Horror Picture Show and it’s Hamiltonian creator, Sir Richard O’Brien.

It's astounding. It's so dreamy. With a bit of a mind flip.

Didn’t visit the show but I like how statue refreshes the site

The public toilets are really cool with automatic doors!

Pretty nice statue, makes you wonder where the closest stocking shop is... A few nice movie related things strewn around will make you giggle to yourself a bit.
Oh and instructions for the time warp.

There's lots of events that happen here, usually posted on Facebook. Tonight there was a performing arts troupe and a little while ago there was a whole outdoor cabaret! It's really cool to see these things being catered for in Hamilton

The home again of Richard O'Brien, born in the UK, worked in Hamilton, back to the UK, and then back to New Zealand for got. An interesting little alcove off what is effectively the main street. A couple of minutes of distraction, nothing more.Love this statue and the man who created this wonderful stage show and movie. It is a great place to take photo's as a momento.
