N.What a great experience! Before only know the pet husky in the home, today the first time to understand the competition level of husky. Thanks Steve & Taniya for the interesting explanation, all the huskies are extremely nice and cute, I love this place! Especially lucky! Also see just born two weeks of puppy, 3 years will not have a puppy.
I.Awesome tour, very knowledgeable and passionate hosts. Learn all you need to know about huskies and watch them interact in a pack environment as well as running. You will get a chance to get some cuddles in as well. If you want to get a husky, do this tour first to learn about the temperament of the breed and to see if this wolf-dog is really for you with their very specific characteristics.

The tours are run by a lovely couple and it feels real down to earth. You learn alot about dog/sleigh racing in NZ. Raising and breeding Husky's with plenty of opportunity to pet and meet baby ones!
Good to bring a jacket and come on a sunny day!
E.I want to give this experience more than 5 stars! Very reasonably priced, my family member said the talk was interesting, the snacks were very welcome, and the doggy bundles of fluffiness were just adorable!

We learnt so much! Saw so much and even did so much! There's a lot of history here and it's truly expiring seeing people who've really gone all out to do what they love!
Super friendly couple running the show here and all the huskies are friendly too. Even the alsatian came for a fuss, and at the end we were even supplied tea and biscuits!
Really recommend this guys, we came away in agreement that we'd have happily paid double the going rate for what we got!!!

m.Well worth the visit! Learn about the energetic life of a pack of race Huskys with a sled running demo, and lots and lots of petting and licks. Very friendly animals and quite the experience I'd say for all ages. Definitely worth the couple hours

P.We visited Timberline during the holidays with my 2 teenage kids (1 a dog lover and 1 not so). We had such an awesome time, learnt so much about the amazing siberian husky breed and thoroughly loved the passion and knowledge of Steve and Taniya. It was really special to be able to have the one-on-one direct cuddles and pats with the dogs and both my kids loved it. Thanks for an awesome visit!

Couldn’t recommend this higher, I had a smile the entire time we were there and we’ve taken pamphlets and will be sharing to friends, workmates and family.
K.The owners seemed a bit unorganised which made our experience not as good. When we arrived the owners explained there was a large group and started discussing amongst themselves how to run the program, whether to split us into 2 groups etc, this occured the entire time we were there, making decisions on the fly while customers stood around waiting. We finally got to the part we were most excited for - to pet the huskies, and we end up stuck in the tiny cage area with half the group of people (who dont fit well) trying to pat even 1 dog was difficult, meanwhile the other group half got a nice large enclosure with grass and plenty of space to pet huskies. Could have been a great experience if there was more organisation and a limit on numbers or a better way of running larger groups. Overall it was a good"ish" experience, interesting to learn about the dogs.
B.Took a group of 25 residents. They absolutely loved it. Had the chance to get up close and pat the Huskies. Saw them Racing. Steve very passionate about his dogs and a good story teller. Thoroughly enjoyed by all. Well worth the visit.

All dogs are very friendly. It is hard to find people as passionate as Steve and Taniya. We will definitely come back next time we are around and maybe see them in the South Island during racing time!

S.Steve very helpfully picked me up from Taupo to bring me out and was a delightful host. It was just me on the afternoon tour so I had a very personalised experience and got to pick his brains on all sorts to do with huskies and racing. His enthusiasm and passion for the dogs is only matched by the care and attention they receive!

R.We visited this place after the Steve and Taniya left flyers on our cars during Ironman Taupo 2019. It's about 15 minutes drive from Taupo city center, located on a farm on the outskirts surrounded by beautiful mountains and valleys. They have a lovely bunch of timber huskies and one German shepard, had a lot of fun learning about the dogs and how they race them for over 26 years.
Hopefully this place will be available on Airbnb and then you can play with the huskies all day! Steve and Taniya are such lovely host and the tour was worth the money!
