Reviews of Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools
D. R.Special place for those just wanting to relax in hot pools or beat the kids down the water slides. Reasonable entrance fee under $30. Can stay for the day or come back later. Changing areas are clean and well kept. Showers have nice shampoo and condition free to use. Plenty of places to sit and read a book and cafe for the coffee and cake. Staff are friendly and helpful.
R. L.Quite a busy place when we went. There was a long line outside with people to go in. This was during red light level. Only 500 was allowed in. So, when people left,then people was allowed in. They offer $35 on bookme as discounted rate but funny it is $35 entry for adult. I find that bit cheeky. However, I enjoyed the facilities. The overcrowding is something we can not have control over. We found it difficult to find a park.
T. C.We come here wayyyy too much lol but thats because we love it! The kids love it. Deffintly an amazing day out! And the family deal with 2 pizzas is amazing! Such a bargain and the pizza is soooo good! 2 is heaps for 2 kids and 2 adults. The pizzas are filling. Also, when the photographers come for a picture, honestly its a really decent price! Love my fridge magnets and key rings too!
L. J.It’s $35 entry fee and you get to go to at least 10 different thermal pools. They have water slides for kids and a restaurant within the place. It’s such a good place for family gatherings !

Beautifully surrounded by trees and mountains in a beautiful alpine style village.
Nice coffee, ice cream and food options inside and outside.
Worth the trip from CHC.

R.Amazing place - so clean, tidy and looked after. Kids loved it - rock pools, slides, fresh water pool, lazy river - all of it. Would come back to the South Island just to visit again
l.Amazing place to visit ...even better at night. This is a must do if you are visiting the south island. Surrounding views are stunning. You will not be disappointed. Oh be sure to go online n get your free pools plus card..any saving is a good one!
T.Great place to chill and soak away the stressors of life lol. Before you know it you've been swimming, soaking, chilling for 5 hours. Second time visiting and won't be my last.
A.Clean and tidy. Lots to do. Heaps of different pools. Four different slides.
My friend and I spent ALLLLL day there and didn't want to leave.
Even the showers were pretty good. Free soap, shampoo and conditioner.
Great life guards very attentive and social people.
K. C.A good place for family; both kids and adults will love it. They have adults only pool/sulfur pool if you need some quiet time (no kids). They can be very busy during public holiday and school holidays, plan before you go.
