V. M.Not another soul in sight so was nice to wander freely. Dont expect totally manicured gardens but they were nice. Unfortunately not being first Sunday in the month the house wasn't open so may be back some other time to visit it.
C. M.in Havelock North for three years in the 1990s, I had never come across Duart House. I didn't get to go inside as it's closed most days but it is a rather beautiful 1800s grand house and pleasant Gardens. Worth a little diversion to see an interesting piece of New Zealand history
