A.Peaceful and wonderful. One can have a nice stroll along side the beach and see the river flowing into the sea. Awesome.
V.Went in the evening when it wasn't crowded and very little waves, beautiful setting with its rugged coastlines make great pictures
R.It was great, loved it. Would've put 5 stars but when we arrived at 11am we watched at least 10 planes dumping chemicals in the sky which is called chemtrails. We arrived to a cloudless day and left at 6pm. What blew me away was the locals acted like it was normal.
Y.Reasonably safe beach for swimming, no big gulleys/trenches. Nice for beach walk or taking dogs out. A boat ramp also.

S.This is a great beach to walk and swim.
Love collecting rocks and driftwood for craft. If you're keen and take your time you can find weathered heart-shaped rocks.
a.Gutted that the fence is now closed off to the public to go down to the river hole. Still a beautiful scenic view 👌
K.Perfect driving day for a trip down our beautiful coastline, ohawe beach at low tide offers great swimming and for the treasure hunter plenty of colourful surprises

P.Cold wet windy but tidy no rubbish and land is pretty well respected river leading to the beach was torrent and over flowing making walking down a bit difficult but other than that it's a nice place to chill and watch the sea also was lucky enough to see a couple of seals playing in the surf
C.Where else can you fish surf collect paua whitebait anf snowboard all in just one day!!!!!!

S.Would have been better if there wasn't rain. Nice stroll along the beach when the tides out. Just need to stay away from cliffs as they are unstable
A.Disappointed the river is not accessible to the public anymore. But the sea is great for the kids with the rock wall for protection from bigger waves.
Z.The river is still a great swimming spot! Brings just as much joy to my children as it did to me in my younger days. Recommended

k.Pretty much always good swimming spot.... not amazing for surfing but some people catch few here or there. Fishing not bad.
k.Camp grounds 2 min walk to the beach. Ideal place to stay during holiday season. Have done so myself and enjoyed my stay.
