If your a kiwi kid in the 70's or 80's you'll identify with a lot of the stuff here (myself). For the few dollars it cost to get in, it was cool. A nice history lesson of toy manufacturing in the 70's

Great little museum showing the history of funho. Friendly staff and reasonable priced.

Well worth the visit. Very quaint and old school but our newly 5 year old had a blast for his birthday treat and got a new real toy truck to dirty up.
Anyone with a pinch of nostalgia and any one under 10 will love it.
Old dioramas, a video history, 850° hot furnace and a sand pit, what's not to like?
We got lucky with toymaker Brian being onsite to set up some sand molds and giving us an old fashioned show and tell. Was interesting to set the toys in their part processed state.
Brought back memories. The toys are basic yet so clever and tough.
Thanks to all.

Interesting Museum showing off a lot of the toys made. Videos on display show how the toys were made are interesting too.
Entry fee of $7 per adult was a bit on the expensive side for what you see.

This is a very interesting place for adults and kids. A very good display and interesting presentation including cast toy manufacturing. You can also buy toys of yesteryear, or from your youth!

If parents take themselves and one child, it's $15. Not bad, if the museum was a tad more extensive. It takes but a few minutes to see it all and though interesting, it's a bit light on. My 7 year old was bored in less than 15 minutes and we had seen everything in that time. Glad it's there. We do support it's continuation, but wish it was much more. Cheers,

This is a Fun Ho museum, so not your usual "I wanna see first Barbie museum"
Exhibition relates to the old New Zealand toy manufacturer and it is a reminder of times when everything was hand made.
Nothing too flashy, but entertaining.

What they have is pretty cool. Only problem is theres not much there... you are through the whole place in maybe 6 or 8 mins. Lucky its cheap

My son and father in law loved it. That was the point of the teip. So overall good experience for them.

Quite fascinating to see these memories in the flesh.
Shame they don't offer a discount for Super Gold Card holders as many if not most visitors will be older folk
J. B.
Nice piece of history a wonderful idea for the time. Sad that it had to end. Took me back, I saw a few familiar toys my friends had.

History of toys in NZ and how some of them are manufactured. Amazing display of different toys.

Entry fee worth the price to see a glimpse of NZ history before everything was produced offshore.

I didn't realise die cast toys were made locally. Boys will love it.

Lovely. Brings back memories of the toys from the past when things were made to last

Over priced and quite outdated. But if your into this sort of thing. It's a must. Maybe my parents will appreciate it more.
