Easily accessible with viewing platforms. We also did the river walk down to the stone store which was mostly easy (some hills) on a well maintained track. The main waterfall was on good form thanks to the heavy rain the day before we visited. The path was protected by trees. We also saw mini waterfalls along the route and another big one (pictured but can't remember the name). Our 6yr old walked the whole way, even though we took an ill advised long-cut trying to head into town.... It is a mission to town from the path, so just stay on it and have lunch at the lovely cafe by the stone store 😉

Very beautiful waterfall and managed to capture the rainbow on camera! Amazing! Its a very short walk in to see it, only about 5 mins, especially if you're not doing the full river track and limited for time. Do not miss it if you are in the Kerikeri area!

Beautifull and I am sure on a cloudless day the photos would be amazing. 3 vantage points to see the falls. Easy walk. Public toilets at entrance.

Beautiful waterfall just a short walk from the car park. You can walk to the top of it and swim in the water at the bottom if you’re brave enough 🥶

A beautiful majestic waterfall near Kerikeri. It’ll look much better in winter or after rain. A short walk from the car park & a stop there directing you in two opposite directions - on your right it’ll lead you to 2 Lookouts that are on the upstream of the Falls; on your left it’ll lead you to the base of the Falls & then a walkway along the stream. It’s not a loop so you’ll need to walk back the same way to the car park.

Short walk from the car park to the best view of the waterfall where you can actually see the rainbow. Easy access for kids and feel free to take your baby prem along.

This place is very interesting, it's so deep down and you can walk inside the falls, with your family,I have loved this place

Beautiful tracks and views, amazing sit out for tea time, super experience.

The best thing about this waterfall is that we can go behind it! When you reach the bottom of the waterfalls, you will have to cross the stream. Once you cross the stream, you will have to go through rocks. And once you reach the starting point, there’s two ways to get to the spot. 1) top: this is really slippery but I feel like it’s the easiest way if you’re careful. Just careful step in the holes and stay low to the ground. 2) bottom: this is the dirty way, if you aren’t confident with your grip i suggest this way. Mud is quite deep, upto your knees. But this is the safest way to get there.

Really nice spot with different view points of the waterfall, short tracks. There’s a carpark and toilet also!

A very short easy flat walk to the viewing platforms to see these amazing falls. There's also public toilets available. I happened to go just after heavy rains and when the river was in flood. Hence why the water is brown in my picture. But it was still a spectacular site.

Very nice falls, has wasy walkways to both the top and bottom of the falls. You can even take a dip, if you're into it.

What an amazing place to visit! They call it Rainbow Falls for a good reason! If you arrive there in the afternoon or when the sun angle is right, you will see rainbows in the mist! It’s a short walk along well developed trails to the falls, and there are many viewing areas and platforms. We walked to the base of the falls, and then up to the top. We were visiting in the afternoon and it was sunny, so we saw the most rainbows from the top of the falls and from the viewing area near the top. There is a large swimming hole at the base of the falls with a small sandy area to sit and relax, so if it is a warm day, wear your swimsuit to enjoy the cool water. Definitely a “must stop and see” when you are driving through New Zealand!

Short walk to a great view. Nice little swim spot too. Definitely going back when visiting the North again.

Sensational jurassic waterfall jungle experience only a few minutes walk from the car park.

Beautiful stroll to a lovely hobbit land, there are places to sit down and relax along the pathway. The falls are spectacular. The river flows into a mangrove estuary then to the Bay of Islands.

Close to town, easy to find car park, short walk to see a beautiful waterfall. Two viewing platforms where walking track is flat. Track down to bottom of waterfall is a hill but easy because only 2 minute walk. It had been raining a for a few days when we went so falls were full & pool was muddy.

Beautiful area. I love swimming here up the top of the waterfall in all the lil pools. Lovely scenic walks perfect for my level of fitness lol pre easy. Many tourists come here and their allways friendly. I spend allot of time here when i'm in Kerikeri.

Great place to visit with family and friends. There are multiple viewing points which provides the clear view of the falls. Nice parking and small walk to the fall is makes it really accessible to everybody. The cave like structure near the waterfall provides a thrilling view.

Lovely place. The falls is only a short walk from the car park. It was on its best when we went there as it was raining.

The parking area is super close to the falls and has relatively clean public toilets. The falls themselves are gorgeous, and it's not far to get down to the pool area. The rock path through the water was fairly easily crossed (I have a tendency to fall in during these situations, but didn't). There's not really a clear path to get behind the falls, so be careful. It's also super muddy once you get behind it. Worth it though.

Beautiful!!!! Even raining 😅, unfortunately we couldn't do the trekking because someone had an accident and it was the rescue team here. Please be careful if you want to cross behind the waterfall.

The waterfall was beautiful today, lots of waterflow as there had been plenty of recent rain!

Nice little waterfall to visit if you’re traveling from Paihia to Cape Reinga. We were there early in the morning and were the only ones there and the waterfall is just a few minutes walk from the parking lot. Going later in the day probably fully covers the falls in sunshine and might make it more enjoyable and warmer.

Very pretty one with atleast 3 viewing platforms and nice resting spots. A short steep downhill walk leads up to this beautiful falls. There's also a nice long bush walk from the falls area that leads to some other place (not loop walk).

Loved rainbow falls. Clearly signposted from town. Goodbparking and clean toilets. Lovely walk down to falls. We enjoyed waking behind the falls, something we had never done before

The view was good, perfect afternoon to go exploring! The walk down to the front view of the waterfall wasn't bad at all actually it was a lot faster then I expected and there is no stairs or big hills to climb. Only took like 2 minutes or less to walk down. Enjoyed the view we actually went their two days this week.

Great place to take the family for a picnic while your up north. Amazing Falls and scenery, could spend a whole day here

Wonderful falls, good to swimming and to relax: byelself or with family. Easy walking and close to the town.

Gorgeous. Well worth a trip. You can get behind the falls into the cave if you are prepared to paddle, scramble and clamber! Lots of people swimming too and a nice walk along the river to be enjoyed.

Incredible nz scenery. Make sure you do the walk behind the waterfall! Be careful, it's a bit slippery but it's worth it.

Breathtaking Views! Lovely little hike around the waterfall.

Live a up to its name, saw a rainbow at the top. Lots of mist fro. The waterfall which is pretty big and impressive. Only a couple minutes walk from a car park. Wild kiwi about so there are facilities to clean your shoes off with scrubs and disinfectant when entering the area which we though was good. Walks available if you're up for a longer visit. Apparantly you can swim but it was far too cold when we went!

Beautiful. Lots of different viewing platforms so it was great for the older people in our group who couldn't wander too far and those who could get closer had the option to. Lovely falls.

Pretty with a big basen that's easy to get to, quite a lot of slimey moss that might put off some ppl that want to take a dip, walk down is super easy

This is a pretty cool looking and massive waterfall. The viewing platform is a short walk from the carpark, which is not far from town. There were many people swimming here as well.

Beautiful waterfall short walk but worth it.

It was a great walk along the river from the falls all the way down to the stone store and town basin about 4kms each way but with the weather playing it's part it was well and truly worthwhile. The walk is easy almost flat so you don't have to be too fit to do it. Took just about an hour each way

Nice waterfall, however we couldn't enter because it was and advise recomending not to enter due to under construction site. What a shame

Very easy walk to view the waterfall, a little steep to get to the bottom but well worth it!

An amazing waterfall just minutes from the town of Kerikeri. It reminds us of the wonder of nature. The tectonic uplift to create the waterfall, the sound of thousands of litres of water cascading over every minute, the pool created by the power of the fallibg water. It was an overcast day so there were no rainbows in the mist, but I have been assured that when the sun hits the falls at just the right angle the rainbow effect is spectacular.

Magnificent five stars waterfall. Must see when visiting Kerikeri five stars...

Lovely walk to the falls! Loads of parking available here also! Note no dogs are allowed and there is a park ranger looking after the property so leave your pooch at home! Takes about 5 mins from the car park

Great water falls. But slippery if you are not careful enough. Great water for swimming and two viewing platforms for taking photos.

Beautiful place. Ample space for car parking. Definitely a crowd attracting place. It is calmful and scenic.

Absolutely loved it and also walking the tracks that is so peaceful and connecting with ones inner self. It does not cost you a cent except for the fuel to get there. Feel free to have a swim where it is safe. mihi ki a koe.

My favorite walk. From the Stone Store to the Waterfall Return is about 1 hour 40 mins. Lovely in good weather or rain.

A beautiful place where you also can take a swim across the water and do a (careful) climb up behind the waterfalls.

Pictures are from a Parrot/bird attraction in the area, i forget the name now. Great spot for bird lovers- this is NOT Rainbow falls but in the same area. Incredible find for any bird lover! Beautiful, colorful birds, knowledgable staff and impressively clean facilities. You can hand feed them, and you can join some in the open aviaries. Very pleasantly surprised with this close to town location. Highly recommended.

It is a wonderful spot to stop by and read a book or just enjoy the mother nature but is not really good to swim like another places.

A moderately easy walk, scenic with ferns, rivers and other vegetation with a waterfall at the end. About a 1hr 45m return starting from the Kerikeri town centre (walk). Allow 2hr for a more relaxing pace.

Beautiful waterfall. Kids loved the place specially the basin to swim around.

The rainbow falls can be spectacular. We were there in May after a lot of rain and the 3 different views and the view down from the pool are very impressive. You must be lucky with the weather conditions. With a cloudy day the rainbow is not showing up😪

Beautiful waterfall, I have never seen anything like this before! You only walk 5 minutes from the car park towards the water fall, toilets are provided but in a poor condition. No entrance fee

Great set of waterfalls. Probably the nicest in the area. I do recommend going on a sunny day to help them live up to their name but they are still spectacular on a cloudy day (especially after heavy rain with lots of water flowing in the river). Good options for walking. You can either park close by or park down at the stone store and walk from there. The walk is nice and easy so almost anyone can do it.

Awesome......worth making the effort to go whilst visiting Keri Keri, a bigger and more vibrant town than Paihia.

Love this waterfall, it's amazingly beautiful! If you are brave you can even try to go behind the waterfall over some slippery stones. If you're lucky you even get to see the rainbow of the rainbow falls :D Definitely come here if you're in the area!

Amazing water falls and beautiful track for walking around the area.

A great place to visit while in Kerikeri. Links up with some wonderful walking courses. In the summer you'll see locals and travellers alike swimming in the pools above and below the falls.

The photos don't do it justice, close up its really spectacular. Has multiple vantage points, from far, up alongside, behind above the falls, and down below. Also swimming is available below the falls, and in pools above the falls. Recommend at least viewing, but better to take some togs and go for a swim as well

Great views from multiple platforms of stunning waterfall with cave system underneath. Has many walks that lead to and from the falls as well as a carpark with barthrooms nearby.

This fall is not so big,but we enjoy hiking around here, and some people enjoy swimming. It is able to see rainbow anytime near this fall.

I like the swimming and jumpung from the water fall in summer, some eels dont always nip, nice to live close to walk in covid lockdown through the jungle

Lovely waterfall and forest track to have your daily exercise.

A great three and a half leisurely walk from the stone house near Kerikeri, track not really too challenging. A lot of natural bush and kauri trees. Track well laid out and well maintained. An old pump house can be visited while on the track. Beautiful scenery with a smaller set of waterfalls to be seen while on the track. A must see the falls are amazing. Our group of four our in our late 60s and early 70s. A great day was had by all.

The easy path to access the top view points of the fall can be accessed by wheelchairs. All view points either top or bottom of the fall are great. In terms of New Zealand general size of falls, I give 5 out of 5 for this fall.

Nice view after only a short walk. Not sure how accessible a visitor in a wheelchair would find it though. Beautiful spot for a picnic lunch etc. Just don’t forget to take your rubbish home with you please. 🙂👍

Beautiful waterfall. A great place to go swimming. There's a lot of water weeds in the pool so be careful. I've watched too many horror films and thought I was a part of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Great Bush walk if you start from the bottom where the stone store, hemp house is. As you pass a few more features. Beware there isn't any public toilets along the way or at the waterfall.

Lovely falls, short walk, lots of parkings are available.

It's much more impressive in person. Plan at least an hour to walk to the power station. Walk the same way back as the main road takes longer and doesn't have shade.

Real nice walk in Kerikeri, we went from the Stone Store to here and back, lots to see, really enjoyed it too.

Great waterfalls. Easy to get to the viewing platforms above the falls for those who are less mobile (even saw an elderly gentleman walking with his frame). Can walk down an unpaved walk to the pool at the bottom easy enough for people with reasonable mobility

Well worth a trip from Paihia where we stayed. A really nice fall and at least in summer you can go for a swim in the pond. So much fun for the whole family

Amazing views and you can get right up to the edge of the falls! The walks around the area are also beautiful.

We had a lovely forest walk in from The Stone House. Great spot for swim under the waterfall. My kids loved walking behind the falls and jumping off rocks into pools.

Great falls. One of the best in the country I think. 5 mins from falls carpark or 2 hour return from the stone house. It is possible to get behind the falls with sturdy footwear but it's not an official path.

Only 3 mins to a viewing platform from the parking lot! With 2 other viewing platforms literally minutes from each other.. Great place to take kids since its soooo short!

Incredible falls to view with a great deep natural pool to swim in at the bottom of the falls. The water is cold but if you're keen it's a great swim with a magical backdrop. Kids love it. Great forest walk along the river with really well maintained paths and a easy walk in walking shoes. Great picnic area at the car park too. Highly recommend

Beautiful loop walk. Not too strenuous. Great views. Public restrooms available. Pick nick areas to sit, relax and have a lunch while you enjoy the view. Plenty of parking. Lots of shaded areas throughout the trail which is well maintained. The path was clean and the landscape seemed well groomed. Great place for kids also.

Simply beautiful. Absolutely worth the visit. Must take the walk to the bottom. For those wanting more.the walk from there to the Stone Store is merely an hour away.

Lovely falls in beautiful scenery. Well worth a visit. Can swim here. Gentle walk either along the river from the carpark opposite Stone Store or 5 mins from the Rainbow Falls carpark.

Amazing place to explore and the largest waterfall out of the three we visited (Haruru and Whangarei).

Most enjoyed walking trail with kids, hiking with family and trail running for myself. I visited this place more than 6 times in 4 months never had any one smoking in the parking area where kids love to play climbing trees. Today I left the park with my kids because one guy can’t stop smoking with his friends hiding behind the tree.

Beautiful place to swim during summer

Beautiful Waterfall. However hard to get to because stairs have been blocked off that provide easy access to the waterfall. This requires you to take a big walk including dodgy ladders. Calculate about 2 hours for the walk there and back! Would not recommend for young children. Otherwise recommended!

So Serene .... and yet to explore behind but pretty sure that's Batmans Cave

I've been here a few times but this was the first time I'd seen the actual rainbow and a sighting of a Kaka

A super quick and easy walk to view the falls, such a lovely well looked after place to enjoy the beauty of nature in New Zealand.

Beautiful 27m falls. Follow the track down and it's a 2hr return (3.5km) to the stone store (oldest NZ stone building) and an old fortified pa site. You'll pass another smaller but still pretty waterfall on the way. There's also a cafe next to the river at the stone store for refreshments!

Wonderful view, pleasant sound of the water falling, good place to take the family to watch this amazing natural scenary.

A beautiful waterfall, within close walking distance from the main car park.

When you get there: There is parking available. A view from the waterfall is a short walk away. One unique thing about this waterfall is that it has multiple viewing angles of the fall including side, top and below the fall. There is also bushwalks which may take an hour non-loop.

Amazing place. Swimming and getting behind the waterfall is a must.

This is fascinating place for more than 1 reason. It was the place where electricity generation started as the wives of white settlers did not want to stay as servants were not available and electricity would make their lives easier So the river had to be tamed to generate electricity

So beautiful. Can go behind the waterfall, and swim out from under, looking back up at the waterfall was beautiful. Lilly pads and dragon flies at the other side of the pool. Magical. Nice facilities

you can walk down to the water and enjoy a swim in the pool below the waterfall. by scrambling over the rocks you can go behind the waterfall. the path also meanders downstream along the river. for the most part the path is paved and easy, a few patches of loose stones.

Nice walk to the plough and feather (about 1 hour 30 minutes from the car park ) nicely maintained path.

Great walk, easy to read signposts and beautiful falls and river to look at. The walk is reasonably flat and easy for most people.

Great spot, with high waterfall. Car park is at the top of the fall where you can look over the falls from a viewing platform. Cross the river and take a track to the base of the falls if you are feeling energetic.

Rainbow Falls is beautiful! You can even explore around the back of the falls, though make sure if you do you have good non slip shoes and a change of clothes from the waterfall spray.

Really nice view points and well maintained tracks. Less stairs than other walking tracks making walking easier

Pretty falls, there were swimmers in the pool beneath the falls which looked to be a lot of fun. We walked from the stone store along to Rainbow falls English style cafe. It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon

. (03/2017) A big and quite high single drop waterfall. The location is maintained very well with good safety measures put in place. Stunning views. There are different walks ranging from easy to moderate including from straight from The Stone Store to the falls. The easy waterfall walk includes beautiful vantage points to stop and enjoy the the views. Spacious carpark.

Beautiful accessible waterfall... worth a visit and pretty quick to tick this one off as the walk to the falls is very short from the carpark. Can reach the falls via other longer walking tracks if that's your thing.

A nice waterfalls with several lookout places. On a sunny day, and if you're lucky, you can see the rainbow. Even if you didn't see any rainbows, the waterfall itself is still a great spectacles. There are several seats and tables at the bottom of the waterfall, though during a sunny day those tables and seats will be fully occupied.

You can get some very good shots of the waterfall here! You can climb to the top (hint: look for the beaten track to get to the edge of the waterfall near the top). You can swim at the bottom of it after a few minutes walk from the top. Enjoyable time spent here!

Wonderful and amazing place. 100% recommended

Took my daughter and niece during a road trip on their first visit to NZ. It was a nice break from driving to chill and take a beat. It's a short walk through the bush from the parking lot. We have some nice family pictures from the visit. Some folks were swimming below the falls which made me a bit nervous.

It was a great place to visit. Summer vacations gonna be awesome.

If you like to walk, sit in the nature then this is the place. Enough parking space,easy access, be careful with kids walking down the track.

Good parking, Top viewing platform is very accessible, wheelchair etc friendly and a very quick walk yo a beautiful view. Lower viewing area a short steepish walk, but not hard. Not wheelchair friendly, but possibly pram friendly. Very beautiful place to stop if the chance is there.

A must do when visiting Kerikeri. Amazing waterfall(s) and brisk, beautiful stream. Cool, shady bush walk with native bush all around. Do not miss this. It’s one of the most walked tracks in NZ, but never very crowded at all.

Our family love coming here. We do the walk from the stone store to the falls often and always enjoy it. Great swimming spots along the way. So many special spots along the walk.

Nice walk from the stone store through bush. A lovely waterfall and pool. Can also be reached from the carpark above the falls on Rainbow Falls Rd which is off Waipapa Rd. Check if stairs are open before you go see previous review.

The "default" detour location if you are at Kerikeri, but not crowded. There are total 3 view points at the top top of the falls, the 1st viewing platform is within 2 minutes walk from the parking. You can also walk to the bottom of the falls. Toilet facilities available.

Beautiful, easy walk

This is a must see place. A easy drive from the town and there is 2 viewing platforms and a ten minute walk down a track that is not to strenuous. We went during the October school holidays and had the place to ourselves.

A short walk that’s absolutely doable with young kids. The track continues next to the river which is also enjoyable.

A wonderful easy walk to a view of a large waterfall. When the sun is shining you can see the rainbow in the waterfall's misty spray.

Lovely here not too far to walk. Must be fantastic in summer a lot of people swim to the falls and go behind the waterfall to take photos.

Great for a quick stop the jump in the water. You can also climb up the slippery stones underneath the waterfall und explore the little cave which is pretty cool. In certain spots you can also jump into the water.

Apart from many other known waterfalls around the World. This is truly the most Wonderful waterfall, that has access by foot, (hiking trail) on its river-bank. Speachless...for sure..."Wonderful" is too simple of a word to capture every emotion you feel when you live to see this World Wonder.

Very easy, short walk from the carpark to view the falls so it's worth stopping here even if you only have 15 minutes. Great view from the upper viewing platforms. There is also a well-maintained walk down to view the bottom of the falls and beyond. The bush here includes kauri, so there is a shoe-disinfecting station at the entrance to the lower falls to protect the kauri from disease.

Nice waterfall, but nothing too special. Easy 25 minute walk with the final metres through ankle-deep water. Swimming in the pool underneath the waterfall is a must do. Be prepared for lots of mosquitos. Next to street parking is unsafe after truck opening hours. Cars are regularly broken into besides security cameras!

Very pretty spot, easily accessible via a short walk from the carpark, or a more energetic 5km walk up the river from the Stone Store.

The waterfall is awesome but the trees are also amazing. On a good day you'd be hard pressed to beat this place. Some intrepid explorers even went behind the falls. Pretty cool. Te Tai Tokerau (Northland) all good so far as this Te Wai Pounamu (South Island) family are concerned. Easy walk on this track too beautifully maintained.

Pleasant one hour forest walk follows river to Kerikeri basin and Stone Store/ Kemp House. Falls are awesome.

Definitely worth a visit. Go both up the top and down the bottom to get the full experience.

Not the biggest waterfall ever. Interesting to see a fresh water fall landing in sea water. Looks like a cappuccino.

We walked the track for the KeriKeri basin all the way up to here took a few hours to get there but well worth the walk , we took in all the amazing views along the way and when you get close you can hear the Roar of the waterfall , simply amazing

Looks good but you can't swim in it. There is a sign saying the water is polluted. Shame. You can climb up behind the falls but if you go up on the left side, it's really, really muddy and is probably quite dangerous if you slipped. Climbing up the right side is also a little precarious, but at least you won't end up looking like a swamp monster.

Always a delight, on warm days it can be really buzzing. A great place to cool down.

Option for a short walk for 3 viewpoints or a hike to the base of the waterfall

Very pretty waterfalls and nice walks. We went in the afternoon and it was hard looking right into the sun & was very difficult to take photos, i would recommend going before midday-2pm.

Incredible falls with some beautiful viewpoints. Read the signs and disinfect your shoes properly to keep this stunning nature as it is. It's also very misty at the bottom as expected, so be careful of slipping

There was no rainbow because it was raining and cloudy. Instead the falls were swollen into a very impressive torrent by the rain. The trail to the Stone House was a very interesting walk through dense rainforest. Recommended.

Great little waterfall. Picturesque. Love seeing basalt columns and a natural recession behind the falls.

Free and fun, small walk (2 mins) can swim in it and jump from the rocks, what more do you want!

Great waterfall within 5 minute walk from the car. The daring can climb along the rocks and get behind the waterfall. Great fun. Highly recommend.

Unexpectedly good. Worth the walk. It há a nice little trail up to the look out. I had been years ago but the roads had a different layout then and it did not have the nice entrance it has now. Special.

Located a short distance from Kerikeri, amongst native Bush the falls the single drop falls are s short walk from the car park. The nzmca motor home park, a cafe and mini golf course are close by. From the falls a track follows the river to the coast and historic sites.

Bit of a mission but getting behind the waterfall was fun and something you can't do every day!

I live near these Falls and Run the track beside the Falls most days. I see them in all conditions, from the top the falls are a quiet sedate meandering stream/river about chest deep and a little deeper in some places, boarderd by native trees. As u near the falls u are greeted by a terrifying death drop!!! lol that falls away in to a big wide basin some 25+meters below. As well as a huge natural cave behind the falls.

Definitely worth a look if you are in the area. Just a short 100m walk to the lookout at the top, and a short 5 min walk down to the pool at the back of the falls for the best view. Couldn't see a rainbow, but maybe the conditions weren't right. Still beautiful though!

First of our New Zealand falls. I did not realise how New Zealanders put in place board walks, stair cases and all the paraphernalia for viewing a natural site. I suppose it is there to protect the environment. The falls were good, plenty of water was flowing.

Not a difficult walk down to the full view of the falls, even for a couple of 80++++ year olds with heart conditions.

You can even walk down the stream, its good track 4 km long. We were there twice, both times toilets were out of order, portable loo was complitelly full 😠

Just a couple of minutes walk and lots of different viewpoints to enjoy these awesome waterfalls.

Pretty to look at. A very short walk to the lookouts (2 minutes from the carpark), and a little bit longer to get to the pool at the base of the falls where you can swim out to the waterfall.

Never been to many falls, but it was fun going there, good views from the top and bottom, go to the bottom on a sunny day look in opposite direction of the sun and you will see why it is called rainbow falls

Absolutely beautiful. Only 2 mins to first lookout which was stunning and further two lookouts were equally stunning and very short walks.

A beautiful waterfall. 3 vantage points are good and offer nice views of the fall. Easily accessible by foot. Ample parking as well.

It was quite beautiful. Perfect for a swim and relaxing.

An easy walk, you can swim and if physically active you can climb behind the waterfall. Also some people walk across the top but I wouldn't recommend it!

Great spot! You can walk behind the falls from the right side or cross the river and walk behind them that way. Not too difficult and you get great views!

5 mins walk to falls.

Rainbow falls was the best falls I've seen in the bay of islands areas. It is smack-bang in the middle of kerikeri and very easy to get to. It felt similar to whangarei falls but is surely less touristy.

Excellent falls, a short distance from the car park, with the addition of a good Riverside walk to the Stone House and Kemp House, the oldest house in New Zealand.

Great Waterfall, there is a cave behind the Waterfall, to which you can climb. And a path that is following the river through the forest which takes about 1-2hours to Walk.

Well worth a look!

Short walk to three really nice lookouts of the waterfall, toilets located onsite. No bins, be prepared to take all rubbish home.

Beautiful waterfall. This was a lovely amd peaceful spot with a bit of history as run-off from the waterfall used to be used to drive a powerplant. Very accessable from the carpark.

Lovely spot in a quiet rural area. Parts can be damp in the winter but a great deal of work has gone in to fix the problem. Saying that plenty of dry space to park in.

The Falls are especially beautiful if viewed after rain. On a sunny day it beams a Rainbow onto the river below the Falls.

Beautiful Falls and it’s great to see that they’re going the extra mile with a shoe cleaning station when you enter/exit the forest due to the Kauri dieback issues.
