The Hobbit Village is a very impressive place to visit. I took these photos. It is huge area and many attention details is spectacular

Take some time when you visit Hobbiton to walk through Bagshot Row to see all of the Hobbit Houses cut into the hillsides. Highlights are Bilbo and Frodo’s house, and Sam Gamgee’s house. There are many houses that you are free to pose in front of for photos, and one house that they will allow you to step inside to get a photo in the doorway. The Hobbiton tour is an “absolute must do” when you visit New Zealand, especially if you are a fan of the LOTR and Hobbit movies!

This is a must see for any fan of the Tolkien books or Peter Jackson films and a to do for everyone else. The details are exquisite. The tour guide we had was great fun and made the whole experience that much better.

This was the most incredible part of my holiday. If you're thinking about going but aren't sure, just go. It is worth every cent. The scenery is beyond words. The details are amazing. They also have GF options in the cafe on site, but if you're planning to eat there I recommend that you go on a morning tour so that you are back in time to eat. For non coeliacs there are a few options at the green dragon inn.

What an interesting place for any Lord of the rings fan! A great insight into how the movie was made. Such a beautiful well maintained tourist attraction. The groups of people could do with being smaller as if you were at the back you couldn’t hear your guide. At one point we almost merged with another group and that tour guide had more of a prominent voice and so we heard what he said instead of our own tour guide. There was a cafe, gift shop and of course the pub!

So cool to see this and take pictures outside where Bilbo lives in the movies! You can’t go inside but it’s really cool. Turns out the tree on top of that is fake!

A must place to go while in north island. Even if you're not LOTR fan. A nice beautiful man made village for hobbits

A paradise for lovers of the Lord of the Ring and the Hobbit movies. This filmset is absolutely amazing!

Awesome place feels like you're in the movie

This is a great place to live out your Lord of the Rings fantasy. The tour is just nice, not too draggy, short and sweet. There's plenty of opportunities for photo taking, so make sure to get your cameras ready. There's not much else to do but it's certainly a great way to spend the day if you're a fan!

Absolutely amazing place to remember the movie

If you liked the movie then make sure you go. If you like lovely scenery then make sure go. A good day trip and a fair amount of walking as well. Good guides and the bus driver sets the "scene" well even before you arrive "on set". I'm not much of a walker, but it was very enjoyable. At the tavern you can also quench your thirst or enjoy a bite to ear.

I absolutely loved it!! Our tour guide Mike was sensational, it was actually bigger and better then I imagined. The green dragon was fantastic and the apple cider cold and delicious

There is detail in every single corner. I took about 250 photos and none of them even come close to showing off the amazing care, attention to detail and love that went into making the whole experience. Do the evening banquet if you can! Walking through after dark is just magic

As a movie freak it was great so see this place and hear all the stories about the set and the movie. The only thing I didn't like was that the tour goes so fast but that is totally understandable because there are so many people that want to see it.

Come on, it's the shire. Go, see it during the day then come back for an evening tour and feast later.

I was sceptical going in but it blew me away. So much more detailed than I expected.

Hobbiton tour from Auckland is a great way to see the country side and learn about the movies. Tour guide was outstanding and the Hobbit tour itself was very efficient and fun.

After seeing the movies it was great to see Hobbiton. The guide was very informative and the stories were enthralling.

I'm not a big Lord of the Rings fan, but this was really an amazing experience. New Zealand is truthfully beautiful!
