J.Hosts were excellent! Very friendly. Great place to stay, with amenities to do your own cooking. Water pressure was great and wifi is free although a bit slow especially with the chromecast on the TV but overall a great place to stay!
M.We stayed at the Matamata Central Motel recently which was our second visit their and once again were warmly greeted on our arrival and our roon was extremely clean, warm and quiet with everything we needed for our stay..
Thanks again and we will see you next time we are in Matamata.

M.Stayed with friends here. We had room 24 which gave us a nice sized lounge and good TV. Pity the didn't provide Sky TV.
The bathroom was very large with a good shower. Kitchen was well equipped with a cook top and microwave and modern fridge.

B.Great neat premises and the inside parking area for our car was neat and clean. Spoke to the Management and paid for the accommodation, extremely friendly and we were taken to our room. Very neat and tidy room with Lots of space. TV's in the room and lounge were both working well, as was the heat pump. Comfy bed and all the other amenities were great and a spacious bathroom for a tall fella. Will definitely recommend to anybody looking for great accommodation and a very good experience overall. We will definitely make sure to book in when next we visit in the area.
V.Very nice room, must have good insulation and I assume double glazed windows as it is on a very busy road, SH27 and a railway line across road. I had no trouble sleeping although use ear plugs. Comfy very large bed, spacious room and big bathroom, only downside is walk in shower leaves water all over floor
M.Enjoyed my stay here very much. The owners are super friendly and very welcoming. The rooms are very nice and comfortable with everything you need and was the cleanest I've ever stayed in! Very well maintained and modern rooms. Beds were comfortable and warm. Hotel is easy to find and close to supermarket, stores and restaurants/food. I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Matamata.
S.Great place to stay close to the town and the local new world .comfortable bed .awesome shower pressure and loved the shampoo and body wash dispenses on the wall.as well as the jandal soap dispenser next to the hand basin.full recommended motel to stay when you are next in Matamata be it for the horse race or hobbiton tour
P.We stayed here recently whilst visiting Hobbitton. The room was lovely and faultlessly clean. Bathroom was very nice and had a great shower. The staff were all friendly and helpful. They even called after we had left to tell us we had forgotten something. Overall, very impressed.
D.Great place to stay, clean, tidy and we'll serviced. Only 12 apartments, so it is quiet with parking right out the front. Some rooms even have two levels to them with the bathroom being on the top level. Within walking distance of a supermarket and many places to eat. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

J.Very comfortable and generously proportioned and equipped apartment style accommodation. Amazing shower, could have stayed in there for an hour. Pristine cleanliness, everything looked brand new. Friendly owners. Matamata town is a 15 minute walk away. If I was travelling in the area again I would definitely make a point of staying here.
P.The rooms are great, and the hosts are friendly. It's a lovely motel, just a pity about the location. They are putting in double glazing, I hope it helps. I am a light sleeper so I can sometimes struggle to get to sleep.
B.Room was well styled, neat, and tidy. Owners are so lovely and accommodating. Utilities all work perfectly. Close to the shops and the centre of town. Not a long walk to the Hobbiton bus stop either.

B.Very basic motel but spacious. We took the 2 bed rooms. 2 bedrooms , kitchen , family room. Location was close to hobiton. Matamata was decent small town with good options to eat.
P.Everything inside the room is so clean and new, comparable to a 5-star hotel. Quiet and relaxing surroundings. Location is convenient- very close to supermarkets and restaurants.
D.No WiFi as offered. Room was very nice, but wifi to connect with family back home because the phone card wasn't working yet was the main reason we chose this location and even after calling about it, it was never fixed. High expectations when you're leaving the room.
E.Great size rooms for family of 4, convenient location with shops and restaurants around, and of course the staff was very nice and friendly, waited for us to check in 10 minutes after the close time in the Sunday evening, big thanks!
