Reviews of The National Aquarium of New Zealand

Always a wonderful place to take my toddler, she never gets sick of it, so I save it for the rainy days. Lovely reception staff. Nice and clean facilities.

We spent around 80 minutes , just taking our time sitting down here and there , taking it all in . Got very clean toilets , gift shop. Plenty of parking out the back and if in luck room to park your motorhome . And price is affordable. At the moment with New Zealands borders shut you can sit back and take photo's with out tourist walking in your shot .

A cool collection of sea life. Love the penguin enclosure and feeding session. The hawksbill turtle is impressive. It could be better as it's called the national aquarium of NZ but might be smaller than Kelly Tarlton in Akl.

A perfect place to introduce marine organisms to kids. Great place .. Penguins and kiwi are the attractions

Great mix of museum and aquarium. It is pretty small so only really took about 1 hour with 3 kids ages 6 to 11. They loved what they saw but moved through it all quickly. It was a tiny bit pricy from the time verses spend perspective. If you have never been it is still worth a look, the rehabilitation and conservation effort is admirable.

Decent place to get proper kmowladge of marine life.
Takes about 45-1 hour for the whole visit.

There are not many places to visit unless you're into wine tours so this stage out as the top attraction forur families in the region. It's a pleasant visit but there could be more focus on fish instead of large static displays on geology, global warming, natural disasters, etc. So there is room for improvement but the visit is worth the fee.

A visit to the aquarium this today to see the wide range of water dragons, fish, penguins, kiwi, turtles, sharks, sting rays and even divers! Friendly staff that were very knowledgeable. Plenty of clean toilet facilities, and a cafe and gift shop at the end. Highly recommended if you are passing.

Well worth a visit. The kids loved it.

Really good place especially for children. Heaps of people there in holidays, so unfortunately due to number restrictions we couldnt see the penguin talk/feeding but could still veiw them afterwards. Well worth a visit.
