Reviews of Chaddy's Charters
What a wonderful trip this morning with Chaddy's Charters. Instead of just wondering what the Sugar Loaf islands were like we went and got to see the wildlife that enjoys the wonderful, natural habitat.
Captain Carl knows the history of the area and willing shared his knowledge with us. Easy access on and off the boat and life jackets for everyone. Would certainly recommend. 💚
Absolutely amazing experience, beautiful scenic nature tour by a lovely host!
We had the most amazing trip! Awesome experience I totally recommend! I had two young kids and they had a blast seeing the wildlife, the staff were amazing! Totally recommend to others. Thank you so much team.
Wonderful staff and great service! I took my daughter out on a kayak. It was a beautiful morning out on the water and the advice and tips from staff helped us get back safely through the wind.
Massive experience on the kayaks and SUP. The staff we extra helpful, accommodating and awesome!! It was such an amazing activity to do where we could include the whole family. The sun was beaming and the water was beautiful 😍 we will definitely be back again.

Taking a couple of kayaks out for a perfect way to cool off a little.
We had a double for my wife (first time paddler) and I and a single for my teen son.
It took a few moments to find our stroke but were soon comfortable and off exploring Ngamotu beach.
Kiko at Chaddys Charters was great, friendly and very welcoming.
The kayaks, paddles and most importantly life jackets were all in great condition.
A brilliant time was had by all.
We had a fabulous trip! It was wonderful seeing the seals and their pups, the bird life, hearing the history of the island from our capable skipper and we enjoyed the sea shanties!! Looking forward to going again soon!
The experience of going out on an old Lifeboat from the launch to re-docking was fantastic. On our trip we had 20 plus people, with probably half of them children. Whilst the Captain shared his knowledge the wind and the sea conditions made for a challenging trip with a number of the passengers becoming uncomfortable. Unfortunately we spent an additional half hour at sea that detracted from the overall experience.
Such an awesome experience. I went on Chaddy’s Charter as a child and came back today with my family and nieces and nephews, everyone loved it. Awesome to hear about the local history and the history of the tangata whenua Ngāti Te Whiti in the area. Definitely recommend this!
