Reviews of New Plymouth Coastal Walkway
M.New Plymouth is amazing. This walkway is such a huge asset. Near the city there are lots of interesting sculptures. The walkway currently extends from Paritutu Rock all the way to Bell Block - almost 13 km. Plenty of room for pedestrians and cyclists. Divided into logical lengths with car parks so that one can explore one part of it at a time.

The council are doing such an amazing job. Well cared for and lots of sign posts. Nice views. Lovely walk or a ride lol but would love it if there were more scooters to use to scoot along the coastal walkway. This beachview is great, and the wind wand was interesting. Would be a good idea to have an info board about what the wind wand is and how it was made and why etc looks super interesting.

E.A very beautiful scenic walk along the coast to/from Port Taranaki. Lots of surfers, great waves.
C.Unwind and inhale the fresh sea air along the foreshore on this awesome walkway.
12.7 k walk,cycle. run from the port to Rewa Rewa Bridge.
On a stormy day you can be exposed to the elements.
Along the walk you will always see Mt Taranaki in the background.Where else can you see a majestic mountain with snow whilst walking along the foreshore.
Beautiful sights to see along the way like the wind wand and Chaddys Charters.
Passing Surf clubs , one with a cafe and a pop up cafe before the surf clubs.
Fitzroy motor camp before the Rewa Rewa bridge comes into view.
Toilets along the way and even a bike pump by the surf club.
Highly recommend this wonderful picturesque walkway.

Can walk a long way or short. Suitable for all ages and bikes.
