Awesome. Really accessible at low tide.
Wreck hasn't dramatically changed with the sections still obvious on the rocks.
Parked at the end of Lower Weld and walked across the river to get to it.
Took some photos and looking forward to seeing how they turn out

Stunning place to visit. Respect that the entrance is private land but you can come in and park to visit the beach. And what a beautiful beach. The tide is high I'm these photos, nice swimming too

We went here at high tide but was still pretty cool to experience the site of a ship wreck! I would recommend looking at the tide tables for New Plymouth before going and head here at low tide. Park in the field after the farm and walk for only 10 min on the beach. Highly recommend.

Not much of the wreck left, and tide was in - still quite thought provoking and on a nice beach for a walk.

Awesome walk. Well worth the trip

It was alright. You can only see one small remaining part of the ship and that's it. But the black sand beach is nice and there are a lot of friendly surfers around.

It's a great place with some local history.
Rock pools and crabs for the kids but a must is to wear shoes!
A quiet river for a slower pace and the waters warm.
