Nice place to visit just very busy traffic and long walk through town to different shops. Good shelter from weather which is great. A variety of shops that are open too with friendly services. Can walk the old train track along the narrow river or bike it. A place to take in the views and just breath. The public laned swimming pool there is very refreshing on a hot summers day and very cheap entry.

The Lemon an Paeroa bottle is awesome for Paeroa, get yr pic taken and read up on the history about it. Plenty of parking and public loos as well. Go and have a look you will love it

There are two L&P bottles in town, this is the original one. There are unisex toilets next to it if needed a break.

The monument is placed in a small park where you can find public toilet and parking

Visited to this place Giant lemon & paeroa bottle to meet L&P giant bottle. Its a beautful garden with a giant l&p bottle. Where you can take pictures with the giant. First we bought L&P bottle and then we took pictures with giant one while drinking the baby one 😜. Its on the main road. It was a good experience. Thank you.

Landmark and attraction for tourists ! L&P bottle photo is a must when we travelling to Bay of Plenty. great space around the reserve for family picnic

Great place for a breather after a long drive! Public toilets lots of shaded grass area yo have a picnic. Bakeries within close range!

Great L&P. Exactly how I imagined a blown up L&P would look like. Probably tell my grandkids about the time I stood next to a giant L&P bottle. 11/10, would stop on my road trip to take a picture with the L&P statue again.

Great icon and wonderful surroundings fing to visit and soak in the beautiful scenery especially at sun set breathing.

Iconic piece of NZ! label could do with an update since L&P has rebranded but still made for some classy photos. On a side note; The surrounding communal lemon trees provided an ample supply of lemons for the copious tequila shots that were to come in the following days.

Interesting city icon, this Giant Lemon & Paeroa bottle is a must for those in love with this drink. There are two decent public toilets, which were clean at the time of our visit. There are small plates with the history behind this park and a totem with the Rotary community involvement with the area. At the top, you get a lovely view from Waikato river and the lawn seemed to have been mowed couple of days ago.

Annual visit to this landmark. Could do with some TLC to it’s signage/historical plaques. Toilets were clean. Wish I had a bit more time to explore the park

Beautiful small town, nice to half day short trip. Is only this giant bottle you can take a picture, but no worries just nearby only 12mins at Owharoa have a beautiful water fall there 😊

Always for mE a memorable monument as a kid my Dad was a trucker and would stop at the original place where the icon once stood,i did the same with all 6 of children my eldest son being 31yrs ole to my youngest daughter nearly 10yrs ole in December n my eldest moko girl being now 7yrs ole

Always enjoy stopping here as take a photo. The toilets get full and smelly so I go to the other end if I need to.

Rode from Waihi to Paeroa and back. Good public convenience by the big bottle. Well maintained parks.

No I'm not visiting I live here in Paeroa. We uses to have a softdrink factory way back in the days...then swing cap afterwards not sure how long they went.

It's sort of how you would expect. There are some information with photos and such dotted around near the carpark but they are pretty badly cracked and damaged. But yeah, it's a giant bottle of L&P.

All I can say is still amazing however it's not as large as it use to be haha cos back when I last saw it I was 4.By the way the bottle in the first picture is not real one the real bottle is down the other end of town 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Somehow drove past this place en route to mount Maunganui! Saw all these LP signs. Decided to buy a bottle and drink it back by the bottle Was amazing

What can i say - stop for photos, it's a local fixture. Kinda hilarious how many tourists (including ourselves) just needed to stop here.

We stop here on our way home from Gisborne to take some photo of the largest L&P bottle. There are 2 clean and modern toilet with electronic locking doors. Car park is not overcrowded.

Located at the Park opposite the McDonald's on the way to Waihi, this famous bottle does have lemon trees growing nearby. A public toilet in case you're needing to pass the bottle out also. There is also some plaques which tell the story of paeroa and how the big bottle came about. If you are up this way, head through karangahake gorge for the incredible views on the way to Waihi.

Great little spot to check out NZ's iconic drink. The gigantic L&P bottle is cool and will always stop in and take a quick photo with it.

Lovely town whats good is you can drive a truck and trailer through the main street and see all the lovely shops and finest backeries Paeroa has to offer

It was great to actually hug, touch this Giant Lemon in a beautiful town if Paeroa. It is NZs very own Lemon & Paeroa drink which is unique to Paeria Town. I recommend you go to the Giant Lemon and Paeroa. Beautiful lemon town so unique. My favourite stop place when on the road to Tauranga or Tirau.

Easy stop of for public toilets and Mown grass area for picnics and walking a dog on a lead. Have used this stop a few times. Popular place.

Cool place to take a photo with the family I did find however that it is rather hard to get your car in as there is a lot of traffic on the roads and the car parks seem just a bit on the smaller side. Nothing outstanding but nothing to complain about too much.

Best big bottlentourst attraction i have been too. Car parking can be a pain...park in McDonalds and there is a path under the bridge, thay way you don't need to cross the near the dodgy round-about

What you would expect, plenty of people willing to take a photo for you if required. The toilets onsite are fantastic and very clean. Nice grassed area behind for the kids to run around and enjoy. Sort of thing you have to do once.

I took a detour on my way from Rotorua to Auckland to see this iconic piece of history. I was not disappointed. Very cool to finally see it in person. A must for all kiwis. There is a carpark to the side of the l&p bottle which makes viewing this very easy.

It's the Home of L & P...we have always wanted to visit the place where our favorite cool drink and biscuit has come from...yippeee

If you are New Zealand you must try L&P drink. If you don't like it, you may be that minority (5%) who doesn't like the drink. Everybody loves L&P and this town is the headquarters of L&P. If you love L&P, you will end of knowing this place and will reach to take a photo with this giant bottle.

Just a big bottle, that's all, but place is nice lot's of car park to stop and take photos, nice green area...quick stop take photos and continue the journey 👏 ☺ 😊 🙂

Loved it, took photos for tourists who reciprocated by taking our photo, took me back many years when had my photo taken as a 10 year old, excellent parking and public conveniences next to a lovely green space.

Just driving along through Paeroa and found this giant bottle. Never know what's going to be around the next curve in New Zealand.

It's a giant bottle but it's very iconic of the area it sits in. The town is very good place for antique stores and if you drive south there is a beautiful area that is bike trails and walking trails . waterfalls and railway rides it's a beautiful Gorge and well worth the visit to karangahake Gorge.

We love L&P and since we are passing through the town, it is a why not for us to stop over for a quick photo stop. The toilet facilities here is modern and fully automated, more interestingly, it plays music when you are using it.

Has an Exeloo just to the left of the bottle, off to one side of the carpark. McDonald's just across the road to the right.

Visitors regularly stop for their photo's at this spot with Bottle as background. There are toilets available at this parking area. There is another bottle at other end of town at the L&P Cafe.

Although it appears to be a large bottle of carbonated lemon beverage, it is in fact not. There is no drink here. There is however a place to divest yourself of drink that has been previous drunk. My suggestion is to drink L&P *before* you travel to get the full affect of this historic land mark, stop as you are passing through Paeroa, then let the lemon and paeroa pass through you, into Paeroa, paying tribute, giving back, a slash of homage, water the land, the lemons, and then pass on (to the gorge, or Waihi beach or wherever it was that you were actually intending to go to) unless you want to buy some antiques or something. TLDR - it's a rest stop, no actual fizzy drink.

What you do when you are in the birthplace of L&P ? true , you take a pic with the giant L&P . Huge but humble, easy to miss as it's sitting in the corner of the car park.

It's in the wrong place! It should be in courtyard outside info site (surrounded by grove of lemon trees). This would result in more foot traffic and better business for local cafes & antique dealers.

Good place to take a picture. The toilet plays a lovely instrumental version of 'What the world needs now' which will now be stuck in your head for the rest of the day.

It's a big bottle of "L&P" (Lemon and Paeroa). Something of a Kiwi icon, dating from the days when the beverage was locally owned and locally made. It's now owned by Coca-Cola (I think) and made elsewhere. You can still buy L&P today. L&P's heritage is represented by the big bottle in Paeroa. It's located in a park at the east end of town, next to the Ohinemuri River....and there are reasonably good public toilets only steps away at the other end of the modest parking area.

A may as well stop get a photo place if never been there - it doesn't do any thing but be a icon for the town and a good photo opertunity-more of a stop on your way than a destination place

Its a bottle. A giant lnp like bottle l. And a bin shaped like a lemon a small car Park a public toilet anf a couple of lemon trees thats about it. Not exactly the cleanest area but a tourist hotspot. Everyone wants to take pictures with the giant bottle. Its a landmark. A place to stop for 10 minutes on a long drive to stretch your legs and pee.

It's always clean and rarely busy. You get exactly what you go there for - an oversized L&P bottle. A kiwi road trip must-do!

We had a photo taken in front of the bottle. Parking, a bit of a problem. Walked a few metres and had lunch in the rotunda. Very enjoyable.

I've always seen this in adverts. In real life it's a lot smaller like the leaning tower of Pisa. Would have been a longer visit if it wasn't torrential rain that day.

It is as advertised, a giant l&p bottle. With well kept surrounds, info plaques, ample parking, public toilet and gas station opposite this is the perfect place to stop for a rest on a long road trip

It was nice to finally visit the world famous town paeroa and get to see the famous lemon and paeroa bottle in the flesh, the business and store people in paeroa were very helpful and informative and really friendly, I'm only guttered I couldn't get an actual paeroa fridge magnet or an L&P bottle fridge magnet to remember my trip, i got and L&P bottle sticker though so it's all good!!!

World famous landmark

Can't go to Paeroa without a stop at this famous landmark. Tourists, don't be fooled by the other bottle by the bakery on your way into town from then north, this real one is at the other end of town!

Legendary Theres also a suprising amount of things to do in and around Paeroa The second chance and antique shops are really good plus theres the karangahake gorge just round the corner. Where of course you can catch the old train to the gold fields of waihi. Go on....do it...you know you want to lol

Paeroa is a cute lil town, lot's of funky shops to check out... but, the Pearoa bottle was not as big as I imagined.

Having come to New Zealand never before having experienced an oversized fizzy drink recepticle, I can safely say I am a convert. The Giant L&P bottle has everything the true oversized fizzy drink recepticle officionado desires: an oversized fizzy drink recepticle, a car park, and loos that play musac and unlock automatically after 10 minutes of use (which you'll surely spend in there considering the sheer awe of the giant fizzy drink recepticle you have just witnessed). I've been here twice now.

Always a must visit if you are heading anywhere in that direction. Great place to bring your out of country friends...even if they don't understand the novelty
