I.What an awesome experience and thanks to Karl and Maria for their awesome work. My partner and I enjoyed an amazing quad bike ride through the paddocks and deep into the bush on a wet, foggy and misty day. We got to see beautiful NZ from another perspective and had a lot of fun. Karl made sure I was confident and educated on using the quad bike, and we had great photos to take home with us. Definitely recommend this experience!
S.This was part of a boys weekend away of 6 very good, (and mature? all 54+) mates. After thorough and good safety instructions and training, plus a practice ride we headed out. We had fantastic fun, mainly kept dry and had enough challenges to get the adrenalin going. No accidents, although one of the boys was attracted to a few trees! No damage done!! Karl, Marie and Mike were great and we got lots of photos and a few videos also. Very reasonably priced. Thoroughly recommended.

S.Great day for an adventure, guided 1.5 quad bike adventure. The guide's instructions were very clear and friendly. We went during rain so we couldn't see the mountain. But it provides more challenging and slippery terrain for us. It was a lot of fun. The quad bikes were amazing machines and never let us down on muddy and slippery surfaces.
R.Thoroughly enjoyed our quad bike experience with Ruapehu Adventure Rides! My wife and I are experienced riders but my son's fiance had never been on a quad bike (ATV here in the USA). Karl was very good at showing her how to operate the quad bike and made sure she was comfortable with it before we headed out on the tour. Their quad bikes are well maintained Hondas. The ride we went on includes some open pasture riding as well as some trail riding. Highly recommend them!
A.10/10 experience. One of the most fun activities to do in North Island. Carl the owner and guide was wonderful and helpful, felt safe and in good hands. A must do for any trip.

V.What a day! We had an absolute blast with Karl out on the bikes. He was thorough with his instruction and we had the best day ever! Only booked 2 hours and we were chatting so much we ended up being out much longer! Karl was so knowledgeable about the area and just a lovely guy. He made the ride so much fun taking us over hills and mud and we even fed some alpacas. He took tons of photos too! Highly recommend, well worth the money! B.Went with some colleagues from work as an advanced group. They have amazing trails with beautiful views for those who are new to quad biking. They also have tracks that make your adrenaline flow if you're a thrill seeker. Combine that with guides who are thorough with safety information, and a great help on the ride, and this is one attraction worth giving a go!

L.Wow was that action packed or what!!! Karl was just the best! We are advanced experienced quad riders it was so awesome that he customized the ride to suit us to make sure everyone is safe and comfortable, but we were also super challenged. His knowledge of the land and history was fantastic to learn as well. Karl is always working on the land and creating different tracks! We came in summer and had a blast even though it was dry!!! We will definitely be back in the wet / winter season to play again! Best quad experience yet!! Thank you Karl and Maria!

G.We had such an amazing time Quad biking here yesterday. The track we went on was in dense bush, and quite challenging which we loved! The quad bikes are quality and easy to ride, and all wet weather/safety gear and gum boots are supplied if need be. The guide and staff are really friendly and even provide free photos/videos at the end, compared to most places like this who try squeeze some extra $ out of you.

R.Incredible experience! I'm a first time quad bike rider, so it was great to start off with a short lesson on how to ride - the guides were terrific and explained everything thoroughly whilst cracking jokes along the way. Shortly after our lesson we hit the main track and started our awesome experience. From driving through multiple streams and rocky rivers, mud ponds, narrow winding native bush tracks, getting jumps over hills, speeding along wide rolling grass land and the icing on the cake - getting to the top of the hills and seeing the beautiful view out to the mountains, great photo opportunity. Thanks for such a fun and memorable experience, I will definitely be back!
K.Had such an amazing quad bike experience here, went with my family some had already been on a quad but I had never been on one before. Carl and Marie gave really good instructions of use and I found the quad easier than I thought to use. We went on the most beautiful scenic trail that was tailored to our abilities and I can honestly say that this was the best day our ever and cannot recommend this enough. R.I had an incredible time doing a 1/2 day on the quads. Karl and Maria were very inviting from when I first showed up, unscheduled at 8am. Karl took me on an adventure, up and down the steep terrain of the beautiful property. I have a experience riding quads but this was the most memorable and rugged yet. I don't think I stopped smiling from start to finish.
Returning to America, people keeping asking about my New Zealand highlights...Ruapehu Adventure Rides is the first that comes to mind.

R.We absolutely loved our experience here!! The people were all very nice and we especially liked our guide. He was easy going and fun while still remaining safety conscious and aware of our abilities. We were able to experience varying terrain such as grass, mud, and some very deep puddles. The Quads were in excellent shape (something that we have had issues with before during similar experiences in other countries) and we were provided with rubber boots and pants to stay dry!
As a plus, they offered to take pictures for us which they later provided on Dropbox. We got lots of great group and action pictures!
B.If the mountain is closed and you’re looking for some serious fun, you’ve come to the right place!! Maria and Karl are super accommodating, friendly and helpful. The bikes are modern, in great condition and easy to use. The tracks are exciting and the views just as good, even on a wet day. You’re kitted out with full wet weather and safety gear, even after a river crossing we were still dry at the end of our trip. Would highly recommend to anyone, the experience is WELL worth the money.
C.Stumbled upon these guys while taking a photo of the Raurimu T-Rex, called in to see what was on offer and decided to go for a ride. Totally spontaneous, off the cuff decision that paid off. What a wicked experience we had. Kids and I stayed in a guided buggy and my husband took his own quad. So much mud, awesome tracks. Bit hairy at some points but what a thrill. These guys know the land and make you feel totally at ease. Loved the tea and biscuits afterwards too. Great down to earth kiwi couple offering an amazing local experience. Well worth a visit. Kids still talking about it in Australia a month later.

We had great views of the surrounding area and loved Karl’s stories and useful information! We highly recommend this place and well worth the money.

G.Amazing! We had the most incredible time and didn’t want it to end. We had a quick lesson in how to use the quads before hitting the bush, going all over! We all picked it up quickly and the route we were taken on matched our ability. The owners are lovely people and make the experience what it is. A definite must do if you are nearby or passing through! It’s a hidden gem!

E.What a great way to spend a couple hours in the central part of the north island!! They’ve recently moved locations to a new spot a bit down the road, so I can’t speak to the old route but the new one is great! Vastly varied terrain, great views, some interaction with the local farm animals as well which was fun. Maria and her partner were extremely friendly and very accommodating. I would say the price is very reasonable as well for what you’re getting. Can’t recommend this enough!!!
I.We headed here instead of skiing due to poor weather and I can honestly say it was more fun than the day skiing would have been. The instructors were patient and helped me gain confidence and the trail was challenging enough to be fun but not so much I was worried. And as we saw in the guest book - it was spiffing! Thank you for an awesome time!!

D.Truly a five plus fun and exciting way to view the natural bush surroundings of National Park. The spectacular scenic views are the true clean green of New Zealand. Combine this with great hospitality from owner operators Maria and Karl and their emphasis on health and safety providing wet weather protective gear on well maintained bikes and buggy’s, then this is one heck of an andrenalin venture not to be missed....even for grandads with grandsons!!
G.Great experience! The guiding was good, nice story in between about the surroundings as well and all at ease. They valuate your skills and level and adress the route accordingly. Highly recommended even on a rainy day (as we did with a bit of drizzle). They got all the wet wheather gear and gumboots you need and it's a really fantastic area for a drive!
E.It was my first time on a Quad bike, but after a Little practice I got the hang of it. It was more excausting than I expected, but I was rewarded with an amazing view on the volcanos (Tongariro and Ruapehu) and enjoyed the tour very much. This was one of the most personal experiences and a nice change after mass tourism on the South Island

A.Found this place from Campermate app, we have to take few hundred meters of gravel road to reach this place, went to explore and know the rides. They hqve pretty good rides but I couldn’t try due to time constraint
