Reviews of Kiwi Park
W.
Kiwi sighting guaranteed. We got to see 4 kiwis in the dark easily once our eyes adjusted. The kids really enjoyed the Kiwi feeding and the Conservation Show. Check out the daily times so you don't miss out. You would spend around 2 hours here tonsee everything including the 2 x shows. The keepers were very informative. The tickets are valid for 3 consecutive days and there is discount if buying online before
K.
Conservation show was the best bit getting to see the wildlife in action. Gorgeous park to walk around. Kids enjoyed hunting the numbers for the audio bites and also trying to spot the Queen Bee in the hive at the Bee Centre
V.
This is an attraction which should be visited by everyone. The 3 day entry ticket is a bonus. The keepers are very informative and helpful. The kiwi interaction is worth seeing. The kiwi houses are dark and you can't take photos which is fine as you spend more time observing the Kiwis.
A must if you visit Queenstown.
J.
Everyone working here was incredible, kind and knowledgeable. The passion for conservation and care for Aotearoas fauna was so evident, the animals were out and happy. Highly recommend going and seeing some kiwi and tuatara up close, the rare karearea, kea and whio. Drop in and give this awesome local initiative some love, you will not regret it.
I.
A little disappointing for a avid birder and photographer but for the general public, this is an interesting place with a variety of endangered animals. Good that the park looks after injured animals and there is an obvious conservation theme.
k.
Best bird park ,friendly and outgoing staff
Beautiful animals and audio facts/stories

My husband and I had a wonderful time visited the Kiwi Birdlife Park in Queenstown. We bought tickets ahead of time, on special, so spent a morning walking around visiting the birds, and learning about kiwi during the kiwi encounter. The conservation show was also very cool, seeing animals like tuatara up close, and we had Sheila the parakeet swoop over us! The staff were super lovely, and it was so nice to visit a place doing so much good for our wonderful birds, with so many critically endangered.
We also got to see the kea being fed, which was entertaining to watch!
Well worth a visit.
Z.
Beautiful little reserve with friendly and welcoming staff. Had a lot of fun doing the kiwi encounter and conservation show. Would recommend
J.
Really enjoyed the talk on preserving our native species. There was so much to look at. I was very excited to see a real live Weka! Also the kiwis were very active, and very easy to view. The whole thing is very well done, and a credit to the owners. The staff were informative and friendly. A great place for a family trip.
N.
Well worth a visit if in Queenstown we visited during June when the normal entrance fee was waived rather donations were being accepted instead. Really friendly staff and plenty of interesting wildlife to see and to learn more about from the staff. Great to see Kiwi birds up close and being super active and learn more about how the park is helping with the efforts to grow the Kiwi population. Souvenir shop and cafe on site. Definitely worth a few hours of your time if you have an interest in wildlife and are visiting Queenstown.
J.
ONE OF THE BEST ATTRACTIONS SO FAR! this place is like a mini zoo for endangered species in New Zealand. They collect some endangered species from all over the country, fed them and took care of them, then when they're ready they release them to the wild. They also educate the people that visited the place to practice conservation, and their animal show is super super fun! Definitely should come visit with your kids and family!
J.
Really nice wildlife park. The kiwis were very active which was a pleasant surprise since I had been trying to see them with no previous luck. The kiwi feeding and the shows were also great. Came here for the kiwi but truly enjoyed the whole park specially the Kea area as you get to go into the enclosure and watch them hang out and go about their day. The Tuatara and Falcon were also great. Really recommend this place for anyone looking to see these magnificent animal and learn about them in the process.
A.
Absolutely fantastic! We were about to interact with the birds and seeing kiwis up close was an unforgettable experience. The staff are very friendly as well!
P.
Great place to visit in Queenstown. Right next to Gondola....beautiful park, super friendly, family run business. Awesome range of displays and a great conservation driven experience.
e.
There are lots of cool native New Zealand animals, from the tuatara which was at one point thought to be extinct, to the green parakeet (both yellow and red crested varieties). There's also an excellent conservation demonstration, explaining some of the history of preserving the native flora and fauna.
But that's not the main reason to visit. It's all about the kiwis; they have several, and once your eyes adjust you'll easily be able to observe them eating and running around to your hearts content.
A.
Family own business. It is a great sanctuary for adults and children. A couple of hours can easily be spent in it, listening to the birds, watching them playing and being naughty, reading/listening the information about the local wildlife.
The free fly bird show is a must. Get you well aware of how much the non native fauna and flora impact on the native trees and birds.
Highly recommend it on a dry day since most of the sanctuary is outdoors.
W.
Me and my partner had a great time seeing the kiwi bird they were really active and very vocal.
The bird show was cool and very informative it was cold out so they had the blankets and hot water bottles ready for us that was a great idea.
It was pricey but remember this bird sanctuary isn't Government funded so they need all the help they can get. The staff at the park were also very helpful and happy.
If your visiting Queenstown make sure you stop in and see the birds and the before and after photos of what it used to be prior to becoming a bird sanctuary.
A.
A great big park with plenty of animals. You are almost guaranteed to see a Kiwi here as long as you attend one of the feeding times. Photos of the kiwi are not allowed but the rest of the animals you can. They have a very cheeky Kea here who is a handful (he likes to try pull shoelaces off). Lots of parking, friendly staff and it has a small cafe with coffee/tea and bites to eat.
M.
This is a definitely must do when you are in Queenstown!
Tickets include a conservation show, kiwi feeding and a 45 minute audio tour! I spent over 3 hours there! 50$ seems a lot but it's definitely worth it and you help protect the native birds of New Zealand!
R.
This place is really worth a visit. We were lucky enough to see 4 different kiwi in the kiwi houses (even without attending the kiwi feeding), lots of different bird species, and a tuatara. The conservation show was brilliant - the presenters knew their stuff and communicated really well. During the show we saw a kereru, morepork, tuatara, weka, and a parakeet. All the animals are looked after so well. Loved the park grounds too - these guys are doing excellent conservation work.
E.
Basically the only place in the South Island to see an actual NZ kiwi. Go during feeding times to see them being fed. Normally nocturnal creatures, but they have a system in place. Great park to support as they are trying to repopulate NZ with kiwi birds and also educate the public on the causes of the loss of native species
K.
Great place to visit with the family.. guided tour with audio is great for the kids! Lots to see and the kiwis are just adorable 🙌
C.
Well worth a visit. Time your visit to coincide with a conservation show followed by kiwi feeding for a full experience. We loved the kiwi houses where you get to see kiwis foraging for food just like how they do in the wild.
S.
This was a gem hidden in the hustle and bustle commercial centre of Queenstown. The family story and origins of the park are a NZ classic and deserve the attention. Well laid out and a relief from the constant " go" of the downtown core, this is well worth a visit. Take your time. There is a lot of great information. You can do it quickly in about 45 min or take as long as you need. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. The kiwi interaction gets you up close and personal. The weka( pictured) was a famiy favourite !
J.
Fabulous experience. So enjoyed seeing all the NZ birds. Loved the kiwi experience. Seeing kiwis so close was amazing. A must do in Queenstown. Stay for the conservation talk. Worth it.
C.
Awesome little spot with super friendly staff and a great showcase of some of New Zealand's greatest assets, its bird life.
I recommend coming when they open at 9, taking yourselves through a self guided tour which with the audio devices, and you should finish just in time for the 10am Kiwi feeding back by the entrance.
Being able to get up so close to birds such as the Kea, Kereru, Weka, Morepork (Ruru), and ofcpurse the Kiwi, was amazing.
They also keep a small selection of reptiles, most notably our famous Tuatara (better to go in Summer to see these guys, but there is an exhibit kept warm all year round) and some different species of Gecko.
Make sure you come down especially at the moment (2020..) while they're running specials on admission of 50% off!
F.
Since some of the most characteristic Kiwi birds are hard to be found in the nature, this is a great place to see them all. The park might be under construction but this is understandable as it is a family-run business. To get the full experience I highly recommend attending the kiwi feeding and conservation show.
T.
My 8 year old son and I had such a fun time here. It is a fairly small park, which actually was nice and not too overwhelming. We got to see a pair of Kiwis in the Kiwi house during feeding time, and the caretaker was very interesting and informative. She answered lot's of questions afterward and it was so much fun seeing these birds close up. We also got to do one of their bird shows and saw several different Native NZ birds close up. The staff is very friendly and they do such a good job promoting awareness of the different endangered animals and how to protect them. The entrance fees while a little steep, go towards conservation and a good cause. Totally worth it!
E.
Loved this place! A great initiative to get locals and nzers to visit for a donation in the month of June 2020. The new kiwi enclosure was fantastic and I was very impressed to see that had more of an immersive experience. I have never seen such active kiwi before - nice work kiwi birdlife park!
P.
We spent a lot more time there than expected... In a good way! We got to see very active kiwis walking around looking for insects. There are plenty of unique NZ birds including several species (like the kiwi) that cannot fly! You get the chance to come really close to them and a unique lizard (a survivor of the prehistoric times, offer than TRex) with a third eye!
You will also get the chance to buy delicious and healthy honey there.
A.
Among the hundreds of activities to do in Queenstown, this one is unique. They are doing amazing work for the local plant and animal species, funded by entry tickets. The staff are great and the audio tour is really well done. It is pricey, but we felt good seeing what it was supporting. You'll get within inches of many birds, including kiwis, well worth it.
R.
Worth checking this place out. I think the money you pay is going to fund the research of endangered species and the breeding of them. Here you can see the Kiwi and the feeding of food, along with falcons and ducks and many other birds. Staff members are super nice and helpful.
S.
Worth the walk got face to face with the largest Kiwi bird i have ever seen. Awesome sights very educational.
b.
Good place to learn about Kiwi conservation, started by a family and still run by them. It hosts kiwi feeding sessions every two hours and also a show with Taratura, parakeet etc. It also has a souvenir shop with honey based products and toffee ( we loved kiwi fruit and honey combination one) must try, but too pricy!
J.
A nice place to see most amazing NZ birds. If come plz check the schedule of special activities which are interesting.
D.
Awesome selection of native birdlife and the Tuatara. Definitely worth the visit and to support conservation. Also guaranteed to see kiwis! Also comes with the new bee centre. Must visit.
B.
Good experience, got there a little too late you probably need at least 2 hours to enjoy it properly. The Kiwi feeding was interesting and was good to hear about the captive breeding program
D.
This Park is honestly the most amazong place you want to go in queenstown, seeing all of New Zealands stunning wildlife species and learning all about the importance of conservation. Definitely something to see is the Kiwi, they care and look after them and you are free to see them in their dark and silent habbitat. There are kea, Tuatara, weka, Kaka, kereru, absolutely everything! You must go to this place, you will enjoy it very much.
U.
Well, it's too hard to spot a wild kiwi bird so you have to visit here. The kiwi house is completely dark as they are nocturnal. Amazing creatures.
E.
Beautiful conservation park. The staff was amazing, very helpful and obviously passionate about the work they are doing. Make sure you catch the Conservation and Kiwi Encounter shows.
D.
An absolutely awesome experience and you feel confident knowing that your entry fee is going to a good place for the right reasons. Be sure to make it to one of the shows at 4pm!
R.
Amazing place, very well organised and the bird shows were very informative. I like the layout and how it felt like a bushwalking trail rather than concrete paths everywhere. I really enjoyed that you could go into the enclosures with the birds. This is a must when visiting Queenstown.
I.
I've been to the birdlife park many times. I learn something new every time. Their shows are informative and have different birds featured so multiple visits are worth it.
They do a lot of great conservation work for the native wildlife of New Zealand
K.
A bit pricey entrance ticket but worth every penny if you know the money goes into good use of the people who work in the park/conservation. The conservation show and kiwi bird feeding were both excellent. My husband and I had a great time in the park walking around checking out all different types of birds! You can feel people who work there have such a passion of conservation and the shows were quite entertaining as well! I don’t normally like zoo but this is the very few exceptions that I do enjoy!
N.
Great place to visit. Lots of wildlife to see, and useful information on all the things in the park. Kiwi was easy to find and see.
Highly recommended to visit if you are coming to Queenstown. Ability to visit for three consecutive days with your entry pass is an amazing reason to go multiple times during your stay.
V.
I loved it here. Was peaceful in late nov 2021. Go when is quiet. In the kiwihouses allow your eyes to adjust to the dark. Take in a free show. Support a great cause, conservation. Also very educational.
Allow 1.5 hours. Be nice to the staff, they are cool.
I saw up close kiwis, tuatara, wood pigeons and parakeets.
100 percent recommend for lovers of nature and wild animals or birds.
Enjoy
M.
Great variety of NZ wildlife in a well set out space. Highly recommend.
M.
For a privately-owned company, this team have done a remarkable job of establishing a beautiful sanctuary in central Queenstown. Great little conservation presentation twice daily, with (I missed them on the way in as I was late) hot-water bottles and rugs provided over winter.
D.
Amazing conservatory! Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Great way to learn about NZ wildlife and see the famous Kiwi!
M.
What a fantastic experience! Having been to various nature and conservation locations around the country, this one was by the best in terms of kiwi viewings, the conservation show, and close interactions with the birdlife here. The team appear to be passionate about their conservation efforts and it really shows when speaking to them about it. This really is a must-do if you're in in the Queenstown area, and entry fees go directly to supporting the conservation cause, which is always great to see. Would definitely come again, and will happily suggest friends and family get down there to see it too.
R.
Great place to see some of the endangered wildlife. Kiwi experience was excellent. Gardens are lovely.
r.
Wonderful place, friendly staff and beautiful birds.
R.
This place is really worth a visit. We were lucky enough to see 4 different kiwi in the kiwi houses (even without attending the kiwi feeding), lots of different bird species, and a tuatara. The conservation show was brilliant - the …
R.
Lovely way to spend the morning! My toddler loves it.
A.
Amazing place to visiting. It's the best place in town to buy souvenirs and at the same time helping to preserve the wild life.
b.
Good place to learn about Kiwi conservation, started by a family and still run by them. Amazing conservatory! Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Great way to learn about NZ wildlife and see the famous Kiwi!
R.
Such an amazing place, definitely recommend the bird show.
K.
Great place to learn about native birds and see kiwi conservation efforts.
J.
Fantastic little place. Sure you pay a bit but it's for a good cause and you will learn heaps and heaps there. Great for the kids and family and head to the luge straight after!
K.
Great place to visit for lots of reasons - kids love it and supports conservation. You get to see a kiwi bird or two too!
H.
Awesome seeing the Kiwi and Wood Pigeon. Conservation show was really interesting as well
B.
Really enjoyable experience. The kiwi encounter was amazing truely unique. Witnessed kiwi calling and feeding. Would higbly recommend this as a place to visit
E.
Pleasant visit and got to view Kiwis! They are doing great work trying to save the kiwi and need your support. Well worth your time!
D.
Great to see conservation in action. I enjoyed the beauty, sounds, info. Saw so much up close, learned a lot!
G.
Everyone should go have a look and enjoy it, even if your local or a tourist, great way to understand our wildlife and native bush
C.
An excellent educational place to visit - lots of great information on conservation. Breeding programs for endangered birds and tuatara. Conservation presentation featuring some feathered stars, and opportunities to view kiwi, especially good at feeding times. (Check schedules.)
Nice cafe as well!
Definitely recommended!
T.
Very small park. Kiwi is the only interesting part of the park. Quite expensive. Walking around the park took only approximate 45mins.
M.
This is definitely a MUST DO when in Queenstown. The best Kiwi viewing enclosures I,ve seen in the country. You really get to see the kiwis up close. Very informative with head-sets provided for a self guided tour, so that you can go at your own pace. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Wonderful Park.
D.
It is expensive but worth it. You can watch kiwis being feed, a conservation show and wildlife. By visiting this place you help them to improve and save more wildlife
R.
My boys and I love visiting the kiwi bird park regularly. One of the best activities with kids in Queenstown. A safe relaxing walk with kids, informative and fun
P.
Fantastic :) A must-visit to anyone staying in or passing through Queenstown -whether you have time to send the day, a couple hours or 15minutes - you can rest assured that it will be worth it. Any money spent here is a gift to yourself as well as New Zealand’s unique native birdlife! This special place provides connections, educational opportunities, and a safe home for many precious birds. Most (if not all) of these birds would not be alive without this place, as it gives refuge to wild birds who for numerous reasons cannot live in the wild. The birds here are well looked after and appreciated by many. Thanks to everyone who pays a visit :)
M.
Great experience. We went in September and saw all the animals and had 20mins watching a kiwi. Also the show is not to be missed. Thanks for a great experience
T.
What an amazing time we had in this park! Learnt heaps about all sorts of native birds. It's great to see them so close without disturbing them. A few of them are actually quite curious.
The conservation show was very informative and so enjoyable to watch.
The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and made our visit one of the best things to do in Queenstown.
I understand that it can be quite expensive, but don't forget that this birdlife park is not a "zoo" - it takes care of injured birds, helps to protect species that are endangered and is involved in many conservation projects to make New Zealand a safe place for our wildlife :)
K.
Great place to learn about native birds and see kiwi conservation efforts.
J.
You can see Kiwi and feed the eel but entrance fee is too high and not worth for money.
J.
Fantastic little place. Sure you pay a bit but it's for a good cause and you will learn heaps and heaps there. Great for the kids and family and head to the luge straight after!
T.
Went there for a talk, very informative and let us see a few birds and a possum!
7.
Had a fantastic time, and since the ticket is good for multiple days in a row I will be stopping by again tomorrow.
M.
Awesome. Don't miss the conservation show. All the iconic kiwi birds and reptiles are there. Make sure you go and hang out very quietly in the new kiwi house. House number 3. The kiwi in there are really active and you can see them so so close if you're quiet and don't take any lights in with you.
J.
Fantastic place. The explanations and the tour is amazing. The conservation show was wonderful.
A.
Kiwi is cute pls check up the time before go there, if they feed kiwi bird, bird can show up
J.
Wonderful small bird sanctuary. They have a Kiwi breeding program which is trying to do some good keeping these strange little birds from becoming extinct. Their bird show was surprising as large wood pigeons fly 2cm's over your head. The young women doing the presentations were highly knowledgeable and loved the birds. Highly recommended.
R.
Easy way to seen real kiwis.
A ticket is able return in 3 days.
You can get cheaper ticket from "bookme" as well👍
K.
We spent two days here and loved it . Fran really made it special for us , making lovely cups of tea and showing us the bees, explaining everything better than I have ever had the life of bees explained before. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment at this wonderful place.
M.
Great little place. $50/person entry fee which goes to feed, breeding programs, upkeep and salaries.
A.
Great kiwi encounter, had been to many other parks and had never seen kiwi as easily as this.
Can return on subsequent days with the same ticket, so great flexibility for the little ones.
Many averies that you can walk in with the girls around you.
The honey tasting was a great surprise as I'd never tasted a selection of honeys neck to back like that, and there was no sales pitch at the end. So based on that alone, we had to buy some honey.
C.
Best kiwi experience I have ever had, they were super active. The work that has been put into the park is very evident. The show that they put on is worth timing your visit for.
A.
Live in this country for years and finally I saw kiwis! Thanks to this beautiful park. And So close! They have a kiwi encounter program which helps a lot. Also there is animal tour which is quite good! Beautiful park! Highly recommend!
T.
Lovely little native bird sanctuary with a beautiful new kiwi exhibit. Kiwis are nocturnal animals that are active in the dark so can be hard to see and the exhibits are designed to reflect their natural habitat - don't go if you're expecting a zoo like setting.
A.
Amazing place to visiting. It's the best place in town to buy souvenirs and at the same time helping to preserve the wild life.
K.
Really nice place to see local animals.
Just quite expensive (40$ entrance for three days)
A.
Very beautiful to visit and see real Kiwi and other native New Zealand wildlife animals. Park is not too big and you can complete your walk in a couple of hours. Kiwi are behind glass enclosure in darkened building (thus you can not take pictures).
It’s worth borrowing the self guided audio tour equipment as it helps understanding what you are looking at.
Staff also very helpful and caring. My wife forgot her T2 tea cup in the toilets late in afternoon and we were able to find and pick it up the next morning. Staff had not thrown it away.
K.
A wonderful sanctuary where the staff truly care for the animals' well-being. Very awesome to get to see many endangered species up close (especially the Kiwi!). They are participating in a lot of raise-and-release programs for these special birds and our entry fees go directly to helping their efforts. A worthy cause! The bird show and kiwi feeding would be enjoyed by any animal/nature lover and also would be great for kids.
J.
Awesome rehabilitation center. 100% warrantied that you'll see kiwi bird!
Nice staff, very passionate and committed to the cause.
We learned a lot about birds life and the challenges NZ is facing with the different pests.
The director of the center even joined us during the bird show to explain the difficulties they are facing with COVID and the lack of interest from people.
Definitely worth the price (even on a rainy day) to help the center to spread the word and educate people about birds conservation.
Thumb up for there coffee shop that is "chalet" looking.
M.
A great place to visit for anyone with an interest in New Zealand birds. The bird show was the highlight. They also deserve credit for the work they are do for bird conservation.
D.
Reduced pricing currently, a good buy! We saw the kiwis very active, and baby ducks, such a wonderful day. The price is for a 3 day entry which we didn't know until arrival, so we only used it once. Full price and 3 entries is a good buy.
J.
Great concept. A small, sort of out of the way location. Was said that the original owner bought this, an old city garbage site and envisioned it becoming a refuge for the kiwi and other animals and birds. Nice information. A great bird show. Nice gift shop too. I think it’s a bit costly, however. Take your time and enjoy it all
P.
The place to see a Kiwi in Queenstown! Lots of Native animals including New Zealand's own Dinosaur the Tuatara. A live show every few hours.
C.
It was awesome! Must- see. Lots of happy-looking birds with really interesting information and a great cause. More than just a bird park; there's audio guides, honey tasting, a really quality souvenir shop including with possum fur and merino products, and an engaging bird show.
C.
Great, quiet little sanctuary away from the bustle of town. Wide variety of NZ birdlife where you can get right up close if you like. This place is a great afternoon out and the park is constantly expanding and upgrading its facilities. They take great care of the birds and have put so much effort into local conservation works over the years. Love this place!
А.
Lovely place, friendly staff, and amazing birds. Rush to get there now as its still not crowded and you have a unique chance to see kiwi birds during their mating season- they sing! 😉. Its open and running. A great place to visit while in Queenstown.
C.
Loved it! Was very informative and interesting to learn more about endangered and native species in NZ. The conservation show was awesome, so cute watching the birds and love how they have all been trained as naturally as possible!! Would definitely go back
C.
Absolutely a must do must see. All the animals are well looked after. Great to see the kiwi super up close. Great rehabilitation program. Keep up the great job!
B.
Absolutely loved it, coming back here tomorrow to see the rest of the park. The kiwi feeding was incredible, so was the conservation show, and I even made friends with a Pukeko. If you're coming to Queenstown please do yourself a favor and spend time here. They do amazing conservation work with kiwis and other native bird species. What a special place ❤️👌
D.
What a fantastic place. Set amongst beautiful bush. Got to see a kiwi in each house. Fantastic to see native nz birds where you can walk into the avery
Z.
Very cool kiwi enclosure, you get to see them up real close. The show was also great, the speaker was passionate and we found the talk very interesting, don't miss this if you go.
A.
Best veiw of kiwis I've had in new Zealand. We saw two large kiwis right by the glass. There is also bunch of other birds I would highly recommended a visit.
A.
This place is amazing. Love the work they do here restoring Kiwi populations back in the wild. Great location and restoration they've done on their property. Super knowledgeable and friendly staff that didn't mind taking the time to teach us about the birds and the bees ;-) P.S NEVER seen kiwis that close before and we were the only people going through at the time. Absolute Gem of a spot.
G.
The $60 ticket price is steep, but it is a privately run conservation park. The Kiwis weren't seen much in our visit unfortunately but the conservation talk was interesting.
I enjoyed the big parrot enclosure the most.
F.
Perfect spot for family. They have a free heated centre with tv/dvd/cafe/ lots of great honey products.
A.
I went here on New Years day, which apparently is a special day at the park as they commemorate the day the original owner died. There is a really good conservation show that you can watch, which takes about 30 minutes. They also feed the kiwis so you can see them, but be aware, photos are NOT allowed in the kiwi houses. There are a variety of birds that you can see, and you receive an audio guide to walk along with and learn more about the park and the birds in it.
G.
Had a great time. The park is beautiful and informative. The conservation show was great. The gift shop is also excellent
P.
What an amazing opportunity to see our native birds in one place as well a our reptiles. This is New Zealand's largest Skink
E.
So pleased we visited today, was so informative the staff are lovely. Love the audio clips as we visited each enclosure, certainly learnt a lot today. The staff are all doing a fantastic job, thank you to the young lady who took some time to chat with us about their beehive.
L.
The Kiwi Birdlife Park was a very interesting place to spend the afternoon. Lots of useful information and close up views of many NZ birds. Part of the park is under construction and the path is not well marked in these areas. Overall, a great place to visit!
K.
It’s expensive. But it’s a sanctuary and conservation centre. Got to see real kiwi, though in a dark space.
It’s small and walkable. Well maintained. You can get up close and in the cage with some of the birds. There is a show that’s pretty good.
It’s got a bit of those tourist trap feels. But mostly I give the benefit of the doubt that it’s honest about conservation.
The birds are very good.

This is a must see when visiting Queenstown This was one of the highlights of our trip to New Zealand. Not what you expect- just better. These folks are doing a stunning job of preserving some of New Zealand’s wonderful and endangered species, if not the worlds, and they deserve a huge amount of praise and more attention than I believe they get. The wonderful sighting of the kiwi birds in natural conditions and the fantastic conservation show with many of the other animals was fantastic. Hats off to you all.

As the saying goes 'It's not about the quantity, but the quality is what matters'. This is very true with this park. There is a limited but good number of native birds, and finally I managed to see a kiwi bird - the lighting at the kiwi bird house was spot on for human eyes to see them. The staff are knowledgeable and know what they're talking about. Give yourself a good two hours if you don't want to miss anything in the park. The best part was the conservation show. I'd say the $49 for entry is well worth it, especially given the fact that it goes into conserving NZ native birds.
A.
The conservation show is so much fun! So is the opportunity to see kiwis up close, poking around in their nighttime houses! We had a great experience exploring the park, and felt good about putting our money towards positive conservation efforts.
A.
Beautiful park! I definitely recommend the audio guide as well.
S.
Fun day out, suitable for all ages. See native birds and learn about new Zealands wildlife while helping conservation efforts. This is a great family run business that is in easy walking distance of central Queenstown.
F.
Great way to see kiwi and they were active. The show was good and you see a few birds flying about. Bought tickets online so got a discounted price. Spend about 2 hours wandering about.
L.
Very good birdlife park with a lovely assortment of birds. The bird show is a must watch and the kiwi feeding was very informative and cute! The staff are friendly and helpful. We wish we could have had some time to buy a tree and contribute to their conservation effort!
J.
Great experience seeing kiwis for the first time, in their nocturnal enclosure. Very informative visit. Did enjoy the live show, again with humour & infomation. Happy to pay as the park gets no income from government & its all for conservation.
L.
Our 3 girls love it here. The park highlights the importance of reserving natural habitats around us. Recommended for family and the young alike
R.
Such an amazing place, definitely recommend the bird show.
L.
The kiwi birdlife park was quite costly for qhat it is. We understand what the money goes towards but I dont think i would go back. The highlight was seeing a kiwi.
E.
While tickets can feel pricey, this is the only ticket you’ll buy in Queenstown that makes such a positive impact on the beautiful surrounds you’ve been visiting. Admission and donations are all that fund this conservation organization. They breed kiwi birds for release into the wild and rehabilitate all sorts of native endangered species from owls to parrots. They also plant native species of plants on the property.
We visited the kiwi exhibit at Te Puia in Rotorua and the birds were hiding in their huts. Here they have kiwi feedings every two hours so that you are sure to see them out running around in their pens (even though kiwis are nocturnal, they are awake during business hours for visitors because they’ve switched the lighting so as to make it dark during the day and light at night). The park takes great care in the design and upkeep of the exhibits to keep the birds entertained and prepare them for introduction into the wild.
The wildlife show every other hour is also good fun and involves up close viewings of the main animals. Kiwi feedings and shows are spaced every other hour so you can do one, have a half hour or so to walk the park, and then see the other show.
Gift shop proceeds all go toward supporting the conservation efforts. Buy some opossum fur products too to help rid NZ of nasty kiwi bird egg and other native species-eating opossums. Help support this wonderful organization!!
C.
Amazing place doing great work in terms of conservation. They are a small park and I enjoyed myself there.
S.
Absolutely incredible. Seen so many beautiful birds up close.
Nice to know they breed and release, rehab and release etc rather then capture and keep for peoples entertainment.
Thank you for the work you do.
I.
Excellent place for a visit to see real Kiwis. I saw the wildlife talk and they have amazing trained owls and other birds. Also don't miss the live kiwi feeding at certain times of the day. Really informative and friendly little family run place.
M.
We spent about three hours here, watched the kiwi feeding which was excellent and I highly recommend the conservation tour which consists of a talk and demo given by a young man who was hugely entertaining and gave us a close up look at a Tuatara as well as a morepork, kereru etc etc. Time your visit to include the above, it's totally fascinating and a great addition to the park.
The walk around the various enclosures is pleasant and you can enter the kea and weka areas for a close up experience. Lots to see and do.
Nice little Cafe with good coffee and a decent food selection.
We really enjoyed our time here.
T.
Very cool, kiwi experience and conservation show (with live birds etc) are a must, well worth the (discounted) price - if anything, to contribute to their excellent work in keeping the lights on.
M.
You will see a Kiwi. Nice 30 minute bird show. Nice facility. Like most small attractions in NZ the price is relatively high. Discount if you order online. Good for families.
L.
Seemed expensive at first but there was a lot to see! You can get up close to several birds, including the kea (one bit a hole in my shoe and chased me around... +1 star), a bunch of ducks, and buff weka. Definitely attend the conservation show, it was fun and another good chance to see some animals up close. The kiwi feedings are interesting too, but you're better off going at another time when it's less crowded, since they seem intimidated by noise. The kiwi exhibits are kept dark during the daytime, since kiwi are nocturnal, so once your eyes adjust, you might see them running about.
k.
Family-owned conservation park supported by the ticket fees and proceeds from gift shop. Excellent to know about the Kiwi - national icon of New Zealand and other unique species such as the tuatara.
Don't miss the Kiwi encounter and the conservation show.
y.
Great experience. The kiwi live in big houses suitable to their needs, breed and sent back to nature. An exciting experience recommended to go on feeding time. The rest of the park is lovely too, with large habitats that you can go through and see rare bird up close. We hesitated going in because we don't like zoos with cages but this a different experience. The place is family own and they seem to give great love to the animals. It is relatively big (so more recommended then the one in Frantz Josef size wise).
M.
Really friendly staff, amazing close encounters with native birds. Had a great time here and I really recommend catching the feeding and the shows! Also, all proceeds go towards conservation so it's great to directly support this private organisation.
K.
What a gem of a find within easy walking distance from Queenstown centre. Conservation of the native flora and fauna is at the heart of its ethos. See endangered species in close up and learn about the important work the park is doing in saving and replenishing these wild animals. The audio trail is very informative and the keepers and other staff are a mine of information. The talks are a must and visit the shop at the end for quality local produce.
P.
Really cool park, especially with the kids. It wasn't too far for walking around the park and the Kiwi Encounter and Conservation Show were both really interactive and interesting.
S.
This is such a special place. The staff are all so passionate, and it's evident when you stop and have a chat to any of them. They are doing some great work, and the $50 entry fee will get you all day access, as well as allow you to return in case you missed one of their presentations. It's a small but thoughtful and well laid out park. I would love to return in 5 years and see what expansions they have made!
T.
The park is small for the ticket price. The only factors that make up are the live birdshow and the kiwi-feeding. Therefore you should plan your visit so as not to miss these sessions. We only spend 2 hours in the park and that was sufficient to attend both shows, try the honey-tasting and walk around to see other birds.
J.
It's not just a bird zoo. Highly educational and informative on the lives of the kiwis and endangered species New Zealand. Their conservation show talks a lot on the invasive species of flora and fauna in New Zealand. Also, They are a not for profit organisation, so the tickets help in the conservation effort (for repopulating kiwis, other endangered birds and fauna in their parks and in Queenstown.)
Z.
We really enjoyed the show, and it eas difficult not to buy half the giftshop products. Especially the honey... You should really taste all the honeys there.
S.
Seeing Kiwis was fantastic. Lovely park with lots of bird life. The Keas are great too. Well worth a visit plus you can return again once you have purchased a ticket.
S.
Stunning collection of NZ native birds in very 'natural' settings. The guided intro to Kiwi in nocturnal environment is fantastic. Entry price was a shock but the experience was worth it for me.
J.
This place is fantastic, great staff - enthusiastic, helpful and informative. The 11am show is so well done, great fun for all ages. We also loved seeing the tuatara and Kiwi up close.
K.
Lovely bird park with short and longer walks around the park. Great for all ages. Staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. Also a lively cafe and gift shop at the park.
S.
We're very glad visited the bird park while in Queenstown! The entry fee did seem a bit high, but we soon understood that the money goes towards the great work they do rehabilitating sick and injured birds, their breeding programs, and planting more native trees. They don't receive any government funding. We were in time for a show, which was very entertaining. And getting to see Kiwis being fed was also a highlight (even if the enclosure is dark to simulate night-time). The audio guides for the rest of the park (over 25 locations) are great. You get free headphones to use, and get an explanation and history at each stop around the park. All in all a wonderful couple of hours.
J.
4 stars because it's almost NZ$50, which I feel is a bit pricey for how small the sanctuary is. A free self-guided audio tour that is informative about natve wildlife and Maori culture. A good way to see living kiwis and to support their conservation.
E.
Great cause, all money goes back into the park. Amazing opportunity to see Kiwis and help local conservation. The live show was brilliant. Keepers were so enthusiastic and helpful.
E.
Lovely centre which surprised us with how good it was. The audio tour is well done and there a several kiwis to see as well as lots of other interesting birds and animals. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful.
P.
Not cheap to enter, but it's obviously not cheap to run either. We spent 3 hours there. We had a great time and hope we helped preserve native wildlife. Great staff. Great place.
M.
Lovely conservation centre! I went to the conservation show and kiwi feeding and really enjoyed it. I also saw some wild fantails and tui. It's not cheap at $50 but it's worth it. Great gift shop too.
E.
Ok, so this was not disappointing at all in spite of the tons of bad comments it has ! Please give it a rest ! Kiwis are nocturnal animals, ofc they will be in the dark. There are lights you can see them thanks to, just let your eyes get used to the darkness. We saw people just passing through the room, stay a bit, and enjoy looking for the kiwis !
there are 3 kiwi rooms, with around 2 birds per room (or more, but just got to see 2 per room). With patience, we got right next to a female one, juste on the other side of the glass ! Stay calm and silent, it'll worth it !!
This is not a zoo, this is a refuge for wounded animals or breeding species that are endangered in the wild. Those animals are in very good hands, and will be released in the wild as soon as they will be ready for it. I'd rather pay 60$ (works for 2 days, not just one !) and know that my money will help endangered species and reconstruct their wild habitat than give them to a zoo, see hundreds of animals just being in captivity.
You're responsible for what you invest in. And they know they animals, they know their job. Those 60$ are SO worth it !
D.
Extremely caring people working and sharing their passion on preserving endemic fauna and flora of NZ. The place provides rare opportunity to see nocturnal kiwi birds. Lovely gift shop has multiple adorable plushies with real bird sounds.
l.
Brilliant shows and amazing animals. It's also a great place to chill out. Entry is affordable especially when it all goes to saving the amazing native wildlife, it's completely not for profit! I had a great time and will definitely come back again
r.
We come here on every trip to Queenstown. It’s not the most incredible place in the world but its pretty damn good under their unique circumstances and is an altruistic family’s brilliant attempt at reversing the unstoppable rush towards the precipice of mass extinction. And educating us all along the way.
They are entrusted by DoC to breed kiwi for re-populating the wild and the only place to take in sick or injured natives for miles. They get better and better at doing what they do each year. If I win the lotto I will be writing them a handsome cheque. Not bad for a site that used to be the local tip. Unlike most of qt ‘s attractions , people don’t just work here. They actually care . A lot. Nice work team.
B.
It’s worth the admission fee - they are not for profit and provide education and awareness about New Zealand’s unique bird life. The weather wasn’t kind but all of the staff were amazing - soldiering on to do the bird show, providing blankets and hot water bottles. Thank you!
J.
The park is too small and the entrance fee is too high with really not a lot of birds to see at all. Might be a good idea to go there with kids but it can be rather boring for adults. Also, I thought that some of the cages where too small for the birds that live there.
Staff that works there is very friendly and happy to answer all questions which was nice.
R.
Great park and great mission. The tour was informative and entertaining. I wish that there were more kiwi feedings since there were too many people and we really couldn't see anything.
V.
Great place to see the Kiwis during the day in their nocturnal exhibit. Absolutely lovely. We really enjoyed the other birds as well, especially the Alpine parrot and Moreporc
E.
This is a gem of a park and has absolutely lovely staff. The wildlife seem to be well cared for, and all the guides seem to be very passionate about what they do. It's a great place to see Kiwis, Tuatara, Kea, and more. Plus it's in a gorgeous location.
A.
Lovely place to see native birds. They do a great work saving birds and also making a great contribution to kiwi conservation.
S.
Loved the bird show at 3pm, very well put together. Of all the Kiwi houses I've been through in my life (staring into the dark at a brown, motionless lump!) the Kiwi in Kiwi house 1 was a delight and ran around and through the water, prodding its beak into every nook and crevice. The owners clearly love what they do and have created a wonderful experience over several decades. It mixes education and fun seamlessly and I learned a lot. It was a great way to spend a rainy afternoon (take a brolly) and I'd happily go again to get so close to so many of our national treasures that are unfortunately so endangered.
L.
Went here with my girlfriend during our camper van trip around the South Island and this place was really cool. You got given an audio guide to go round with and there was a bird show. It was really informative and not to big to navigate around.
The people that work there were so nice as well. We had made a mistake with our booking and they could have made things very difficult for us but instead helped us out massively. It really meant a lot to me.
C.
Highly recommended. Perfect downday activity in Queenstown! And likely the only place you'll see a Kiwi on your NZ trip. I recommend the audio tour and catching the free live show where trained birds literally fly just over your head. Super knowledgeable, passionate, and friendly staff.
A.
Must stop! Went here on a trip to NZ and I’m so glad I did - amazing park with tons of info about local animals and plants and very caring staff. Seeing kiwis is pretty incredible!
B.
The place is quite cute and they are doing a great job in both conservation and education. The price can seem high, but the money goes towards conservation and, in my opinion, seeing the Kiwi feeding and the conservation talk made the entry costs worth it.
R.
Nice place to see Kiwis in action and to see other native birds.
This place has lots of ups and downs. To avoid climbing up and down too often plan your trip inside efficiently.
Enquire the timing of two main events.
1.Kiwi Feeding. 2. Bird conservation show.
Parking in front is free for 240 mins if you can get it. If you get one, immediately go and buy a lottery ticket instead of visiting Kiwi Park.
Need to allow lot of time to enjoy this properly. Combining with Gondola is not a good idea as you need time in both places.
E.
Make sure you go for the conservation show and kiwi feeding. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and I enjoyed them. They are doing great work and it is important to support their efforts since they are not government funded.
M.
The birdlife here is stunning, kiwi, kea new Zealand falcon and many more. All amazing, not to mention the Tuatara.
Worth it for any price but an absolute bargain at the moment with the current pricing!
D.
This was an amazing place, the staff were very friendly and patient, and you can see them feed the kiwis. Some might say that the $50 fee is expensive, but it grants you access to the park all day and you can even leave and come back. Definitely a place to go if you're staying in Queenstown.
M.
Great small family run park with interesting Conservation show and Kiwi feeding shows. Great work being done by the people here to preserve the native wildlife of New Zealand.
r.
Wonderful place, friendly staff and beautiful birds.
P.
Awesome park to visit in Queenstown, the staff is passionate and do a lot of important work for wildlife preservation. I got to see many rare birds including the kiwi. Would highly recommend!
B.
Allow 15 minutes for your eyes to adjust in the Kiwi viewing room before the feeding time. The 2 Kiwis were then easy to see. A great park which is still developing.
J.
Worth a visit if making a trip up to the gondola as it's next to the gondola entrance, you can spend a couple of hours easy walking around their 5-acre garden looking at kiwis, keas and some of the scheduled feeding/shows.
Narration playback headset available in English, Chinese and Japanese.
Has a small cafeteria for a light meal/snack and coffee.
Ample paid-street-parking available but hard to find one as it's almost always full.
J.
One of the few kiwi breeding programmes that you can check into on the South Island.
Very knowledgeable staff, great shows and events that are free with entry into the park.
At NZ$45 when we went we thought it felt pricy BUT then when we got in there it blew away our original expectations. Definitely recommend.
J.
Kind of expensive, but they seem to do good work. Be sure to check out the conservation show, which was a lot of fun. You can split your visit in two days if that fits your schedule better.
Also, don't miss the Antipodes Island parakeets. They're way at the back in the forest, but they're really fun; I spent 30 minutes playing with one of them.
R.
This is gem of a place for conservation in the heart of the commercial Queenstown. We could see kiwi birds feeding, tuataras and other native birdlife here. Always in support of places like these.
S.
This place was great - I loved the wildlife show. It was so well presented and informative. Well done to the young lady who presented it. And the superstar animals, of course!
R.
Lovely park with some walk in enclosures with an amzingly friendly inquisitive kea and weka. Cool flying bird show with morepork, kakariki and tuatara. Got amazong view of the kiwi at the front of his enclosure just before the feeding session. 2yo was amazed at the birds. Also they are doing significant conservation work with our endangered species and peest control.
W.
Amazing place with impressive enclosures and heaps of awesome birds. All for a good cause - make sure you give them a hefty donation so they can keep up the good work!
L.
Absolutely a great spot to see kiwi! We were so lucky to see kiwi birds being energetic moving around and searching food. It’s interesting that they can drill holes by their peak!
We really enjoyed the speech about New Zealand wild animals conservation which was the best speech ever. Learned a lot of informations about things to notice when you’re in the wild.
Also the staffs in the reception were really nice, she showed us the beehive and explained the bee lifestyle for us, absolutely worth the price.
E.
Although tickets might initially seem a little pricey, I was very happy to pay the admission after learning what this sanctuary is doing for the conservation of native bird species in NZ!
T.
You have to see a Kiwi while in NZ. This is one of those rare places to see them. Having said that, it's overpriced- paying for the location in the heart of Queenstown. Half the birds are hard to find in the displays but you kind of feel like you have to do it before returning home.
S.
What a pleasant surprise this was. The entrance way hides an amazing wildlife park beyond. We had a mix of ages in our group and there was something for everyone. We were amazed at how close we got to the Kiwis, literally they were scratching on the other side of the glass, only inches away. Well done guys, 5 stars!
k.
It's small, and pricey, But Well worth the visit to see the birds up close. The conservation show was great and you can tell that the employees have a passion for helping to restore native wildlife to their homeland.dont forget that proceeds go towards conservation!!
A.
We went for kiwi feeding show, which last 10 -15 min and saw only 2 kiwi birds, the price is too high for it! Recommend to buy full ticket ,not half-price for ten minutes show (they offer 50% discount just for the show that doesn't worth it).
A.
Great family run wildlife park and sanctuary - highly recommend!
A.
This a very well done introduction to native New Zealand birds. The staff was exceptional. Take your time and enjoy the auditory tour.
F.
Lovely staff, interesting shows. Educational. Takes 2 hours to go around. Not a huge park but there are great birds. Kiwis are in a dark room though. Got lucky and heard their call.
G.
Lovely little bird sanctuary and native bush. got an excellent up-close view of kiwi, kea, kereru, kakariki and more. Its also completely free! This would easily be worth a fee entry
L.
We learned so much from from the knowledgeable and friendly guides. Wide range of animals and souvenirs are priced more fairly than everywhere else in Queenstown. Not necessarily worth the $55 dollars but it goes towards a great cause!
b.
Excellent place to spend time with the kids. Very informative and amazing to see kiwi up close.
C.
Awesome place kiwis ARE SUPER cute and the guided tour is really interesting.
Entry is 40 dollars however and thats just a touch CRAZY to me
S.
It was awesome to finally see a Kiwi! people working there very helpful and knowlegable... they answered all our questions, special shout to Lana at the front desk who was super kind and spoke our language (spanish), she could help my family that don't speak english very well and explained about the bees as well. Great experience for the whole family and an 8 year old guy!
Great ex
m.
Really great place. The owner and hosts went out of their way to help us have a great family experience. Highly recommend to visitors to the area
W.
This is a very good park for veiwing new zealands native birds and tuatara well worth a look and supporting d. O. C in helping endangered species breeding programmes
R.
Lovely way to spend the morning! My toddler loves it.
T.
We had a great afternoon visiting the park, my eight year old son and I enjoyed it a lot. The conservation session was great fun and informative, and it was wonderful to see the kiwis even if it was a bit dark !
B.
the park was okay but it was very hard to see any of the creatures that are housed there and the walks are extremely hard to negotiate. It would be much more walker-friendly if there were steps and more hand railing.
H.
First visit. Useful information about a shy special specie special to NZ. Visit restricted due to weather conditions. More would have been seen weather and time permitting. Great for children and adults
S.
This was one of the highlights of our day in Queenstown. We saw Kiwi's for the first time in our life, which is quite rare since they are nocturnal birds. Also learnt a lot about other native species and conservation.
M.
Really nice place got to see several specials that I probably won't see again unless I return to New Zealand the conservation show was really cool and informative and also shows how critical it us to look after the native species here
S.
Great bird park where you wouldn't expect it. Smart and personable team throughout the park, all demonstrations were informative and had practical conservation takeaways.
J.

Loved that is was a donation to enter, was a good morning spent even had lunch which was nice and well priced.
J.

T.
Wicked place. Staff super friendly!
I visited on a rainy day and the staff gave us water bottles to keep warm.
Must visit!
B.
Looks expensive at first, but totally worth it as you supporting a good cause! Watch kiwi feeding, hear about their way of life and visit the life show! Great experience!
L.
Awesome experience, great conservation show and natural wildlife exhibits. Thanks Kiwi Birdlife Park!
J.
Definitely go for the conservation show and the kiwi feeding (if the kiwi are performing well they won't"force" feed them again and just let them forage while telling you all about them). Plan on about 3 hours
B.
Amazing park. They are doing this the right way by my standards. Costs around 50 a head but between what they do and the overall experience I think it is worth the price! Highly Recommend. Parking around the area is tight so keep that in mind.
R.
My three year old loved it. Got to see not 1 but 4 kiwis. Friendly staff. Very knowledgeable. Recommend this place.
K.
First time to visit kiwi birds and how lucky I was to see them mating. I bought a red glass carved kiwi bird as souvenir. So beautiful
S.
Saw a huge kiwi right in front of me,good talk by the family owners. Gorgeous cheese scones in the cafe...enjoyed it all!
L.
Wonderful experience, very attentive and friendly staff, the birdlife encounter was excellent. What a hidden gem in Queenstown.
L.
I always enjoy going to some type of wildlife parks and it was nice to see the Kiwis! It’s also located right in front of the Skyline so it’s easy to find!
M.
Nice park 👌🏻
..informative show to sit down to & learn about the animals and birds that live in the park..the kiwi birds were a tad hard to see.. so I got a kiwi bird in paui shell on a necklace 🙂
Y.
We visited this place just to see a Kiwi bird. Good experience in that regard although i don't like to see animals in captivity. However, the other parts of the park was not that good.
L.
Lovely park on an important conservation mission. Great opportunity to see NZ native birds.
B.
If they do the conservation work they say they do, it's impressive. I found a bit depressing seeing the kiwis in their cages and all the little kids hitting the glass and pointing lights at them. Left with mixed feelings.
R.
We had a very enjoyable and educational visit to the Kiwi Birdlife Park in Queenstown, and I would recommend a visit there to anyone who is interested in New Zealand wildlife.
L.
10/10 for information, friendliness and just general hospitality. I would go her again and again and we brought a tree. Great place.
S.
Great bird park where you wouldn't expect it. Smart and personable team throughout the park, all demonstrations were informative and had practical conservation takeaways.
A.
Staff were super helpful and knowledgeable. One of the first times I got to see kiwis as very special.
F.
Nothing fancy but staff was friendly and helpful. Birds are interesting. We saw kiwi u close, though in very low light. Glad we went.
J.
If you've never seen a Kiwi before, this is the place in Queenstown to see one! This bird park contains many of New Most famous bird species (and the tuatara), and you can see two live shows with the price of the ticket. Great value and amazing insight into the nature of New Zealand.
V.
Great place for the kids. We were able to see kiwi in their nocturnal house really easily. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
W.
Take time out and visit Kiwi Birdlife Park. Many different species of birds are here to be seen. New Zealand culture and history have significance here.
S.
The price is high and the number of the birds it's not enough. But the price is justified cause part of the money will be used to save birds of NZ.
R.
Very educational, family run, and they are doing amazing things for the wildlife in New Zealand. If you are in Queenstown this is a must!
I.
We loved seeing the bird show (quite informative) and kiwi bird. The park is not that big, so we actually went out for lunch and came back in for the 3pm show.
S.
Worth every cent! You will see many happy kiwis and many more fascinating native species of New Zealand.
J.
Absolutely amazing, highly recommend as a must visit!! Private tour was extremely informative and the team do an amazing job with the up keep of the facility. Good job guys, you do amazing work. Thanks for having us!!
T.
Pricey, but you'll get to see a variety of wildlife unique to New Zealand (including kiwis!) I justified the expense as supporting conservation efforts...
T.
Heaps of birds to see, and I love that this bird park has a lot of rehabilitation and breeding programs to help the native populations of NZ. Worth the visit.
s.
Had a great time. Learned a lot and saw amazing animals
C.
Fantastic little wildlife park doing some great conservation work. Seeing the kiwi bird up close was a highlight!
P.
I'd rate it five stars except for the Kiwi display. I understand that they are night birds but the dark was overkill. Could barely see the birds during the presentation.
M.
Loved it every New Zealander should see this place and tourists. It's a hidden away big place that is an easy spot to fill in 1-3 hours in a place like queenstown that is good entertainment per dollar👍👍🏿
L.
Great place to see a kiwi and they do such a great job for our country. Loved every aspect of it.
R.
Interesting way to spend an afternoon and learn lots in the process. The entry fee seems a bit steep but this is a privately funded conservation park so well worth it!
D.
Great visit, fun and entertaining personal and a park supporting the NZ wildlife. Definitely worth a visit and some support
A.
I really recommend that you visit this park! A fabulous experience - the presentations were excellent and we saw kiwi birds!
M.
Awesome place. The volunteers and the people working their really knew what they were doing. Loved to finally see kiwi's.
P.
We didn't actually enter the park, deciding that $80NZ was too much. We wanted to see the presentation but you can't buy tickets to just that.
