This is our first experience for Off Road Adventure, we had so much fun, the staff are very friendly and hilarious, thanks so much to Karl , he is very experienced and gave us useful tips to avoid our buggy flip off the track. This was one if the best things I have ever done !! Conner, our guide was so amazing with our group of 6 ! Always felt confident we would be safe as he explained everything extremely well. The commentary of the history of QT was fantastic. I highly recommend this to all. Such an amazing experience!! Don't wear white !!! will be brown by the end 😉

SO. MUCH. FUN. We did the 4x4 buggy. We’ve been to QT a bunch of times and done heaps of activities and this is hands down one of the top activities to do in Queenstown, especially if you’re an adrenaline junkie. So worth the money. We were on such a high afterwards! Connor was an awesome and extremely knowledgeable guide! 100% recommend 🙌🏼 I wish I could attach videos :( they showcase even better than photos do how much fun this is!!

What a buzz. Quad bikes or buggies- your choice. Was raining when we did our trip but it only added to the experience. Muddy trails through alpine bush is the way to go. Team leader Scott was measured in his approach to training and showed excellent skills navigating the tracks. With great views over Queenstown and the surrounding area, it is an experience well worth undertaking. 10 out of 10.

Booked a tour during our Xmas holiday in Queenstown. We had a mixed experience group with most of our crew basically having no experience riding dirt bikes. The guys took a good amount of time to make sure we knew how to ride safely and were comfortable before heading up the trail to the lookouts. Had a great time and really enjoyed the experience!

Mat took us out on a buggy adventure today and treated us like we were VIPs. The buggies were solid and we felt very safe inside, especially with Mat’s subtle yet highly effective instruction. The ride was through some of the most majestic scenery we have seen so far and we were in awe when we reached the top (even after having done the shot over jets hours before). My wife and I were particularly impressed with the way Mat treated our two young children, making them feel valued and important. This company clearly places a huge value on making the customers feel like they are truely welcome, something that hasn’t always been apparent at other Queenstown attractions that often feel like production lines. This felt like a real personalised adventure for our family. We highly recommend an afternoon out with this company!

My wife bought me this as a Christmas gift. I can't recommend it more. I had a smile plastered to my face throughout. I went by myself and joined a small group (3 of us total) and were guided by Matt. We were matched for our experience (mostly road bike and mtb). We grabbed some quality gear and Matt made sure to check our abilities and give pointers on the practice track before we headed up to the main property. The dr250s showed that they could handle anything thrown at them including my dodgy inputs. The great thing about having a guide is that Matt not only gave pointers but pushed us sensibly beyond our usual comfort zones leading to a hell of a lot more fun. I'm hooked.

My partner and I had Matt luckily all to ourselves on the group Adventure Tour. Matt was great bringing our skill and familiarty with the quads up and nothing felt rushed, especially with me coming from road bikes which makes quads surprisingly unintuitive. We booked an early morning ride a day before from their website to take advantage of the discounted kid prices $149 instead of $199. Luckily in the early morning slot we were (2 people - 1 adult + 1 kid) the only booking and it certainly went ahead because Off-road Adventures promises that the early morning tour will go ahead if there are atleast 2 people. For individuals the afternoon session is better because it's guaranteed to run so even if it was a single booking they honour it and don't cancel the tour. The check-in process is easy at their office on Shotover street. We were then taken to their quad biking site by Brendan who was friendly and easy to chat to. During the 35 to 40 min ride from their office to the location Brendan points out some of the other key locations that travellers may like. Once we arrived at site, Mark gave us the boots and wet suit to wear followed by a safety brief and instructions about the quad biking. He then spent 15 to 20 mins just taking through some test tracks to ensure the riders are comfortable driving the quad bikes through various types of terrains. I have done quad biking a few times but had never seen a test track for the riders to get comfortable before starting on the actual "Off-road Adventure". This was also good because my kid was now much more comfortable with his bike and was able to manoeuvre it easily. We then were taken through the actual track and loved it. They have made the track to let riders experience quad biking over hills, muddy water, bumps etc. My son loved it to the core so much so that from time to time both Mark and I had to keep reminding him about the brakes 😁. They use a go pro to take your pictures while riding through the terrain which are provided free of cost. A link is sent in 24 to 48 hrs to the nominated email address. Thank you off-road adventures for providing an awesome experience. My son is now hooked on quad biking and it was a good father son bonding session. We will be certainly back once my other son is old enough to ride too. Highly recommend this experience for all ages.

We did the Lord of the Rings tour with Pete and he was totally awesome. My husband and I were the only two booked on the trip so it was basically a private tour for us. We went on a self-drive (2-person) buggy tour and had an absolute blast! Those little buggies seem to be able to climb and descend tracks I wouldn't have thought possible. After a quick/frantic training session (my companion was screaming with terror/joy) we were off up into the hills with Scott leading the way. Impossible climbs, muddy puddles, crazy cornering, butt-clenching descents, and continuous laughter. Absolutely recommended!

It was our first time in Queenstown, we were walking around the town and saw this shop. We went in to check what these guys can offer. When we were going to Queenstown I didn’t know if I can get something like this. I was pretty happy when we booked this tour. We purchased a quad bike tour for one adult and one kid. Me and my nephew were very excited to go! Brendon, our guide, came to pick us up right on time. It takes about 30-40 minutes to get to the place where the tour is. Transfer was very comfortable. On the way, where the tour was, Brendon told us a little bit about Queenstown and a places good to visit. When we came to the place we were amazed with the view. Brendon gave us all gear that we needed and explained us how to control the quad bike. My nephew was a little bit afraid of going on a bike himself and I worried that the tour was over, but Brendon got along with him really easy and helped him to relax and put my nephew on his bike. After few minutes my nephew was good and we went on the track. It was quite a big field and we were riding all over it. I thought that it was the tour, but after some time he told us that did good and now the time to go to the real track. That was more than I expected. We went to the track and it was so much fun. I really enjoyed it. My nephew was very happy too. The nature is so beautiful, it was many animals around. My nephew loved it. The track by itself is very different. Some places you can go quite fast, and some places are real off-road! We enjoyed all the way. I think it will be interesting not only for armatures but for people who is into it as well. 100% worth money spent on it! I highly recommend these guys! Thank you very much for such a good ride! I hope I’ll be able to come in summer time and take a dirt bike tour!!! Will highly recommend to all my friends who will go to Queenstown! This adventure is a MUST!!!

Matt and Brendan were awesome tour guides. They truly cater towards your needs and riding styles. Great adventure and fun. Expect mud and dust but you wouldn't be doing it if you didn't want to get a little dirty. Fun for all ages and riding experience.

What a fantastic experience. All the reviews are true. It was worth every penny, friendly staff, fast bikes and a really great afternoon of fun. There's plenty of time to get your confidence and a feel for the bike before you head. I'd recommend the 1.5 hour quad bike adventure, you won't want to get off after 1hr!

Easily the best atv experience I have ever done. Matt was an utter legend, great teacher, great courses and ground. They provided all the gear plus suncream and water! A fantastic selection of surface es to drive on and we even got to have a jump into the river to cool off. Did the guided self drive buggy tour, really cool scenery and Scott was a bit of a legend and revealed a bit of a softer side with his love of photography. Training area is really cool and a lot of fun, instructors are fairly loose which is good. Can’t express how good the views, probably better than what you can see from the Gondola. Must do! From Ross in the office, to Ryan out on the track, this experience was one of the best in NZ. In the office, Ross was very inviting and provided a lot of information prior to booking. Once out on the track, Ryan made us feel very comfortable and accommodated all of our skill levels. The tracks have all types of terrain including lots of mud and puddles! Whether you are advanced or have never been on a quad bike, they will ensure you are ready for anything before heading out. Would definitely recommend! It is worth the money for sure. What an amazing experience we had today on the explorer quad bike tour, 2 adults and a 11yr old. From the moment we walked into the office on Shotover Street to being dropped back at the end of our tour we were looked after and treated as family. Matt, Niall and Brendon made our first time on quad bikes easy and fun. Lots of turns, hills, bumps, ice and mud! It was great that the whole family could go on the same route and Matt treated our 11yr old son as an adult which he loved. For the amount of time we had on the bikes this was great value and I would highly recommend this to anyone no matter if you are 6 or 60yrs old. Thank you again we will be back in the summer.

Went on the explorer quad bike trip with my family yesterday - 2 adults and 3 kids (12,10, 6). None of us had ever done it before and I wasn’t sure how the kids would go. My partner and I had a fantastic time quad biking with off road adventures. My partner has ridden a quad bike before (albeit quite a while ago and has a bit more natural talent than me!). Today was my first time riding - tricky but definitely picked it up with some practice and had a brilliant time. The staff are helpful and supportive and encourage riders to go at their own pace / comfort level. There were several staff with the group so I had no fear of being left behind! Had the most amazing morning session on the Quad bikes today with Matt. He stopped briefly on the journey to where we were quad biking to show us an insane whitewater part of the river as we had been talking about my kayaking adventures. The session itself was worked perfectly around our abilities and we found some deer to look at as well on the adventure. Stunning scenery around whilst the terrain was perfect for our quad bikes. The area was used has all sorts of terrain to suit the riders needs. Had so much fun sliding in the mud and speeding through the puddles, I just couldn't stop smiling. A fabulous way to see what Queenstown surrounding area has to offer and cannot complement Matt and everyone else at Off-road adventures for adding another fantastic memory to our New Zealand visit. I have done quad biking before but this was the best I have experienced by a long long way.

Went for the 2.5hr quad biking option with 2 mates. Never done it before and had an absolutely blast. Easy to book online, easy to find shop location in the heart of town. Lovely short scenic drive to a spectacular farm for the quad biking surrounded by stunning mountainous backdrops and beautiful NZ wilderness and rivers. Quad bike was very easy to learn. Great protective gear provided, so we had no hesitations in going full tilt through muddy pools and dirt for Max fun experience. All different types of terrain to try out. When we thought it was all done, we got a surprise when our guide took us up the massive private road hill climb to the AJ Hackett Nevis Site, with amazing views from up high to watch the scenery and bungee jumps. Highly recommend, and we thought well worth the price. Nice to know it’s a small family business, wish you guys the best

We went in a quad bike tour as a family. Our youngest daughter was very anxious and underconfident. The instructors Matt and Greeny were patient and encouraging and in no time at all she was riding and zooming around with the rest of us. She was beaming by the end and it was a great experience for her. As parents we were thrilled to see this massive boost to her confidence and self esteem. We are very grateful to the boys. The rest of the family all teens had a great time and I know they will be talking about it for a long time. There are many things that you can do in Queenstown. I was there for 7 days and Off Road adventures is by far the best expierence I have had! Our driver Matt was so accommodating showing us all the best places to swim, drink and have a high quality pie! We were seperated into skill level groups and with my family we are able to spend time with all of the guides. I was with Ryan. He was really funny and went the extra mile to make sure we had an awesome time. We all asked if we could have a swim in the pool at the edge of the river and he was more than happy to get in with us. My sister was having difficulty on the bike and felt uncomfortable riding so Scott let her ride with him on the back so that she would still be included! Stand up bloke! Brendan was the guide for my other two sisters. Going above and beyond to make sure they felt like a part of the group. We have been to most of the attractions and extreme sports and this was by far the best! I couldn’t thank Matt, Ryan, Brendan and Scott more! They deserve a pay rise! Thanks again guys.

The quad tour is sick and would definitely recommend u go through a whole lot of terrains such as gravel dirt mud and muddy puddles and if u can ride the quads well u can go through jumps and go up and down steep hills. Gotta love the enthusiasm from Matt and goes above and beyond. Matt was going at the pace we needed but also let us go on the more experienced tracks which r sick and even gave us tips to do better doughies if that’s not sick then I don’t know what is. Booked this tour on a whim and was very glad I did. I don’t do many tours as I live in Queenstown, however I really enjoyed the relaxed local feel of this company. The guides were very friendly and had a big emphasis on safety. After an initial training run around a flat area, to get comfortable with the bikes, we were off on the trails. Lots of varying terrain was available and some nice views above and right beside the river. We spent 90 minutes going on many trails, up and down some decent hills and racing around flatter areas. A few fun water crossings too. The bikes were in very good condition and although they did throw up a lot of dust that was part of the fun for me. Go fast, get dirty and a little sunburnt on safe fun bikes? What’s not to love.

I had such a great time and it was more than worth it. The guides were so nice and funny I could not of wished for better. These guides names are Shane and Matt. Funniest people to guide me the way they did. They are very talented and skill full in all of the opportunities you can choose to your best expectancy. OFF THE ROAD ADVENTURES IS THE BEST THING TO DO ON A FREE DAY. ¡BUT! Don’t wear your best chlothes!!!!! If you do, they will provide you extra gear and protection.

This is THE BEST experience we could of ever thought of on a rainy day in Queenstown, and Off Road Adventures was the place to do it. We did the 1 hour ($199) package but it was way more than what we could of hoped for. They drove us to the park, they geared us up, they taught us the quads, and then we slowly worked our way up to advanced trails/jumps/wet obstacles/etc. Me and my sister did the quad biking on a really rainy day and it turned out to be the best time to do it! The trails were muddy, you could drift and jump so easy and the best part was our tour guide. I think his name was Tinney but he took us on all the trails an let us stop and take pictures, he gave us advice for how to ride the quad like the professionals, he had a great pace and always had our safety in mind. I cant wait to come back, request him, and do the side x sides up the mountain on a sunny day! In summary, this place is the place to go if you want to go fast, get dirty, and not empty your bank account. Can't say enough about it. Go check them out!

my girlies and i had such a great time quading with off road adventures!!!! we did an hour tour, and it was so much fun, we wished we did a longer one. the guys were really accommodating making sure my group stayed together without us even having to ask, and they were super meticulous in training us. ryan was an absolute homie!! he was hilarious and got some really dope pictures of us. I would totally recommend doing this if you're in the area, it was easily our favorite part about our trip to NZ. ryan, we hope your cat is doing well and enjoy the beer!!

All he did on the way to track was complain about other business competition. A better guide would have made the experience much better.
