Awesome views, plenty of places to sit and walkways to enjoy. You can ride the luge which is super fun, or just ride the gondola to enjoy the beautiful sight from the top. There is a big gift shop at the top too. Great place to spend a few hours. The location is very convenient too, only about 10mins walk from the centre. Staff are friendly and nice. Must visit if you are in the area!

Skyline Queenstown and Luge is great way to see Queenstown from up high and have some fun on the Luge as well. The Gondola ride up is smooth and the chairlifts for the Luge sit 4 across. Restaurant dining, as well as gift shops on top. It can get quite windy and cold, so bring a jacket

Great views. Great coffee. Helpful staff at bottom ticket counter. Great to be able to use our Rotorua Skyline annual passes for free gondola ride. Unfortunately we waited ages with 6 others to get served at the luge for tickets as only 1 staff member was on & she was 'fixing' the photo machine, then had to wait with about 15 other people for someone to come & let us onto chairlift!

Definitely one of the main attractions in Queenstown but ready to spend big, because they are unashamedly pricey. Is the view worth it? no can drive up one of the peaks and get similar, is the food good? 3/5. is the luge fun? yes!!!! overall a good time.

One steep as gondola, feels like your going straight up but the views are worth it. Luge is pretty cool too and fortunately we went on a quiet day and didn't have to wait too long. All the staff were really friendly...

My family visited this place for sightseeing and fun. When we visited the place, weather is not good. It is too foggy. Sadly I can’t see the spectacular view from the top of skyline gondola. The staffs are kind and very friendly. When we were there, power was totally off. We can’t do much. We should waited in there. Staffs’ action for the evacuation situation were amazing and very effective. It is so impressive.

Finding a parking is a serious problem here, as there are a lot of road-works going on at the moment and i think there's a-lot of re-structure with the place. But don't let that hamper you if you truly want to experience Queenstown. Once you reach the peak, you can truly feast on your eyes on the panoramic views of Queenstown. It will take your breath away. It's definitely a must,visit. If you have extra cash to spare, try out the luge. Not a very big track but great fun. A word of caution, though. Foods and drinks can be a tad pricey. Best pack your own foods and drinks if you're on a tight budget.

The gondola ride up the mountain was spectacular. The view was amazing and sitting in the view room up the top having lunch was beautiful as you can eat and admire the view around the mountains and watching people doing the Luge. The food was beautiful, we had pizza and butter chicken and both tasted beautiful. There is a souvenir shop up the top as well.

Great morning with the family. The ride up on the skyline was great. Can't fault the beautiful views on the way up.Then the kids enjoyed the luge 5 x. Amazing sights once you hit the top.

Loved the Luge. Had never done it before and the 2nd go on it. Mastered it. Staff were so kewl to us and even slowed the chair lift down for us old biddies. Such fun

If you are in queenstown, this is a must visit cos its in the city, easily accessible for everyone and not so expensive. You get the whole city view plus the lake watipu and whole mountain range. You got heaps of other activities to do once you are on top as well

The left side of Skyline gondola there is constructions going on which has made an eyesore to the Skyline... But we loved riding ludge and seeing picturesque views up there.

My first time on a gondola, it was fun, views were amazing.... It's a bit tight in the box though. Went up to luge the hill, that was so freaking fun.

A must visit if you’re in Queenstown. You’ll get to see the most amazing views when you’re up there.The luge was a fun and a family friendly activity, suitable for all age. The only disappointment was the buffet restaurant closes on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday when I visited back in July. If you’re planning to dine up there, I’d suggest you check their website prior visiting.

Breathtaking views both as you go up the Gondola and atop. Luge is a must do for children. Adults will have some fun as well. You could do a lunch at the restaurant, Gondola and 3 luge rides as a combo deal. Bookings are essential for the restaurant. You could enjoy a meal with panoramic views

Well worth the price of the ticket for the stunning views of Queenstown. The luge is also great fun

Had a great experience. Travel up the hill was great, particularly the steep climb and decent on the gondola. The luge racetrack is a great way to entertain yourself, as well as the walks and bike track around the chairlift. Would definitely recommend as a priority for anyone visiting Queenstown

The standard at the restaurant have dropped but the view is still to die for. On a clear day, it has the most amazing view of Queenstown.

The view up there is beautiful. The luge? Rotorua is best! Hahahaha. Can't beat the bludi view though. Simply the best.

Skyline Queenstown – one of the best places we've ever been. The Skyline cable car gave us the perfect vantage point for the first view of Queenstown! Once you're up at the hilltop, you'll see the whole town in all its glory. An unforgettable experience!

We had a great afternoon on the Skyline during our trip to Queenstown! We parked at one of the parking lots at the base, then rode up on the gondola. There were amazing views of the city, the lake, and and the mountains on the way up, but the views from the top were even more amazing! There are several viewing decks, and we checked them all out and took some great photos. Hang-gliders were going overhead, too. We had coffee and some lunch at their cafe, and enjoyed the beautiful views while we ate. The food was really good, and reasonably priced. There are biking trails at the top, so we saw many people taking their bikes up. There is also a luge that looks to be a lot of fun. Definitely take the time for this experience when you are visiting Queenstown!

Skyline Queenstown is a must visit when in town. We took the Gondola up and was amazed by the breathtaking views of the mountains, lake and the city. There plenty of viewing points up on the skyline and there’s also a nice cafe up there to have coffee and get something to eat. There’s also a luge which is a fun thing to do for both adults and kids. A must do when in Queenstown. Highly recommend it.

Going on the luge ride is an experience like no other. If you're in Queenstown and are looking for something fun to do, 100% go here. Dinner is also available here, which offers really nice food.

The girls in the gondola service area were supper friendly and nice and the ride up was awesome. The reception staff were alright but while I was talking to one of them they started talking to there friend who was working with them, I was a bit annoyed but over all a good experience, I’ll be back

Even on a fairly overcast day, the views are epic! It's like something out of a fantasy novel, I kept expecting to see Frodo and Sam scrambling over the hills

Even though a wet day the gondola is a great trip up the mountain wonderful views of Queenstown thanks very much felt safe. Easy walk from town too.

It’s definitely worth your time to see, especially if you’re sitting for one of the dinners. Good selection of food, but can get crazy if you’re here in peak season. Staff are clearly overwhelmed by the number of people during buffet times, but the view is amazing, and once it settles down, it’s a great experience.

Great activity. 3 rides on luge was the right amount for my wife and I. Heaps of fun with an spectacular view.

Well worth a visit for every member of the family. The indoor puzzle exhibition is not to be missed , especially the room at 15 degrees! And whilst you enjoy a coffee there are many ‘annoying ‘ small puzzles at each table designed to test ones logic and problem solving ability. And do not leave before you have tried to negotiate the Maze! It’s a challenge.

Smorgasbord dinner with huge options for everyone. Highly recommend paying extra for the window seats. You may have to order your drinks with plenty of time as it's a busy place.

Fantastic holiday experience for our family group of seven. A short stroll from the city centre passed the exclusive to Queenstown i-fly attraction to the gondola station up to the top of the hill with breath taking views. From there you have a range of activities and stops.There is a Cafe for refreshments,the famous luge track,the paragliding ride,souvenir shops and much more. A fun day to be had by all.

Spent a couple of hours here and did 5 luge rides. Amazing views from the hill leading to the luge and on the observation deck from the building. Staff looked like they were having a great time working and were friendly, well kept outdoor area, toilets are clean and sanitiser was present at many places. The luge tracks seemed shorter compared to the Rotorua one but it looks like they are doing some upgrades around there. Pricing is what you’d expect, we bought directly from the website.

We had the most beautiful afternoon and evening. The staff were all so friendly on the gondola and luge. A stand out staff member was Jarryd In the restaurant he was kind friendly chatty and accommodating. Very good at his job. The views were amazing and would rate it one of the top experiences in Queenstown. The food was a great range and even being level two the experience was good.

Was great views coming up here with my family. Something to note that The luge closes at 7pm which we failed to look at on the website properly silly us. We were unsure of what tickets to buy as some wanted to go on the luge and some didnt. As we had an hour to ride the luge. I asked does all who ride on the luge have to have a ticket as some didnt want to do it and we had a couple little children who would ride with us. ( stressing about the children we wanted to take on and if they needed tickets too!). We were persuaded to buy a certain family pass with many rides. When we went to ride we found out only the DRIVERS get marked off. So to NOTE if you have young children going with you on the luge ONLY the driver gets marked off. Therefore the person who sold us the tickets SHOULD have told us this as we now had limited time and allot of rides to use! Other than that it was pretty quiet for that time of night. Breathtaking views and lovely day. There is a restaurant which is best to book in advance.

Was lovely views etc could do with more sitting area. Some seating areas was roped off in areas could do with more for the amount of people that was there. I know being a red traffic light zone it makes it hard.

Delicious buffet and beautiful scenery. Unfortunately, the blue line luge wasn't available when we went. But, it was a very fun experience overall.

This was a BLAST!!!!!!! Thought that it was going to be kind of a kiddie activity, boy was I wrong!!! There are two different courses. A moderate course, and a faster course. You can't beat the views, absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! I plan on going back to Queenstown again in the near future, and making the trek back to the top of the mountain is worth simply having access to the view. Hopefully you will be blessed with great weather should you choose to partake in the festivities. Did I say the view was amazing???? Awe-inspiring and jaw dropping at the same time. My best friend recently moved to Wellington at the beginning of this year, so as soon as the Covid restrictions fall back somewhat, I'm going to head back to New Zealand and hopefully show him around Queenstown. I'm sure that he will love it just as much as I did.

If you're going on holiday to Queenstown this place you have go to! It's amazing! You'll be blown away by such a beautiful view of Queenstown! Highly recommended!

We went up early..first up. It was fabulous. Perfect day. Great close parking spot. Plenty of beanbags to choose from. It was definitely a first! We have been many times but I think this was the best for us ☺️

Best value Gondola+6 Luge. Didn't feel like doing more than 6 runs and 6 was enough to get good and experience different parts of the track. 2.5hrs from heading up to arriving at the bottom of gondola. Also cart performance varies!! Some are way faster than others.

Must visit this place when you are in Queenstown whether it is winter or summer. Best scenary of the city. Restaurant was great. Any type of foods are available and even vegan too.

This is a MUST. End of story - there really isn't much to say other than - DO IT!! Best views and great food up the top. The prices are worth it but make sure you try and go on a clear day.

If you have money it is one way of spending money in Queenstown. If you want to see form above, there are so many ways and places to do it. But it is fun for children. Seen the city form above while your are moving up.

Lots of family fun, even if you are only spectator there are gorgeous views and places to relax and sit down. The Cafe has a wide variety of different food so should be fairly easy to find something for everyone

This is a 'must do' thing whoever visits the beautiful Queenstown, Southern Island, New Zealand. This is located 5minutes walk from Queenstown CBD. View point on the summit has an eagle eye view of the city.

Amazing activity place that i visited in Queenstown during summer. Its the place where you want to spent holidays with kids & friends without any second thought. The scenery from hilltop is breathtaking! One can spend the whole day only by enjoying the magnificent view. Must visit place in Queenstown.

5 stars for the viewing deck being free of charge, so you could essentially make the climb up and get the picture perfect view for free! Clean and well maintained washrooms. The view is fantastic even on a slightly cloudy day.

In summer time the price is super expensive. Use the track near the base, it takes 1 hour up. In winter you can book your ticket from book me. There is a photographer taking picture for you all. And when you down the skyline you can buy it with discount if you have the gift shop receipt. The luge is funny, too.

What a great place to see Queenstown from the top. When the weather is clear, you can see as far as eyes can see. Beside enjoying the amazing view of this beautiful town, there're lot things you can do, such as catching gondola, luge, dine in or even bungee jumping! Must visit when your in town. Beware, can be really busy during peak holiday season and bring warm clothing as can be quite cold and windy.

It is advertised as the ONE mile creek walk but felt partially like the green mile. A very steep walk which at no point got any easier, however once you reach the top, which is the Skyline station, it was well worth it. Many mountain bikers racing downhill, some with incredible speed and skill. Scenery amazing. Nature is just showing off in those forests. As said, once you up there the view is just breathtaking (have a look at some of the attached pictures and you will agree). On top there is even a little enclosure with some goats. All in all a fantastic 3 hours.

Was a great experience had so much fun, only not giving 4 stars because there is so much construction and roadworks going happening that parking is a real problem

Amazing views and worth it for the scenic vista of Queenstown! Lots of packages. I did gondola and dinner buffet. Food was excellent tho not gourmet. Lots of choices with lamb, venison and sushi. Great ice cream too! Lots of options for vegetarians. There is also luge, a nice bar, casual restaurant for the day and bungee jumping. Shopping too. Lots of decks to view the vista or from the inside lounge if it's cold. Nice for the family but watch kids carefully on ledges

It's under construction but it was amazing.

The only place in Queenstown for that ultimate lookout view. It's definitely worth taking the gondola up just to see the place. Cafe/restaurant is also good and not too overpriced.

The views across the harbour are just as impressive as the location of the Queenstown skyline. We were there during autumn so I could imagine that the winter views would've been just as epic.

Good food and drinks. Great view and attractions to do also. My son and i went on the paragliders which was great value. We come back up the gondola and met my wife and other son and done some luging.. we bought an annual ticket do get 20 percent off food and drink also

Had a great time. A little expensive but worth it for the views (and if it were cheaper, it would be even more crowded). All lines moved quickly and the luge was a total blast - definitely worth the money to do that. Great opportunities for photos, too. I would not try to park anywhere near there though. Park in the Man street ramp and walk.

Beautiful cable ride with a quick and easy way to go to the top of Queenstown. When you arrive it's all about the beautiful scenery (lakes and hills). There is also some great attractions for young and old. The staff members are friendly and helpful and you can have breakfast or lunch in their restaurant with also stunning views. I really recommend this beautiful place.

Kids loved the experience, very expensive gondola trip especially when the trees that have been cut down dont look very tidy. Basically the site looks very messy and untidy. I assume this doesnt belong to gondola but it has been like this forever. Kids like the goats. I liked the view from the top. Great deal $10 for a beautiful assortment of desserts and glass of champagne! Totally recommend people go on the Sunday for this yummy afternoon tea. Exceptional service and lovely friendly professional staff. Tray with cup of tea should be cleaned before giving to me with cup of tea. Great view in the lounge area and felt warm and special. Thank you

Absolutely incredible views. Food was amazing, the waiting staff were friendly and came from all different backgrounds, it was great to talk to the staff and share experiences. Would definitely come back up again. Make sure the whether is great before you go up, and free organise your ticket so you don't have to wait in line for long periods of time 👌

Honestly my favourite place in Queenstown by far. Love the fast lane of the luge, and photographic at the top of Bob’s peak - best view of Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu and Southern Alps.

This is s must see venue for you all in Queenstown- the views Just fantastic in the food is awesome. You get such a great perspective of all the mountains and the distance between the lakes in the mountains. The food in the cafe has improved a little which is good. Has plenty of entertainment for your children if you want to bring them here as well. The place is open all year round for very generous opening hours. I consider to get an all round pass if you coming to Queenstown several times a year.

A beautiful night had for my girlfriend and I. This is the best buffet in New Zealand. Gourmet Venison, Fresh salmon fried in front of you and the staff were lovely in the restaurant :)

One of the must do attractions in queenstown, dinner recommended, winter season probably best, you can see the city lights. Summer is pretty too though. So, we need to ride a gondola up to the hill, and go to the restaurant. The que going down is usually very long, if you're going to the restaurant, just pass everyone and go to the main desk. They will serve you there. Food is decent, view is amazing! Great place to have a celebration or a dinner date!

We went on the snowy and foggy day, the visibility is not perfect but still it is another type of views. The cable car itself is aged and could use a bit upgrade, compared with other facilities in the town. The restaurant on the lower ground floor is contemporary, the food is well presented

The Gondola ride was OK. However, you get some great views as you go up! Once you reach the top you actually have to climb down a little to get to the Luge ride. I did the Luge ride three times! You have to do the blue lane once and then can choose b/w the blue and the red. The red lane is more fun with some amazing drops, steep curves and a slightly longer route!

A must of you're visiting Queenstown, especially for the first time. The views are amazing and the lodge at the top is very cozy. The queue at the entrance was quite long and the louge courses were quite short however.

Great way to see this wonderful city. Up top there is a candy store and a restaurant and best of all a luge with two different tracks. We had lots of fun.

Spectacular views. Buy tickets in town at an agency if you don't want to queue. Plenty to do when you reach the top. Besides the breathtaking views there is parasailing, bungy jump, go on a luge (which is family friendly), cycling trail or relax in the licensed restaurant or for more casual eating there is picnic tables outside. A must do when visiting Queenstown.

Love this place! Gondola + Luge package is at a fair price. We enjoy the view when we get on top of the hill. Luge ride has 2 different level , we had a fun time riding down to the hill and also amazed with the stunning view on the ride. Great place to spend the place.

A fun experience, good staff, great views

We decided to skip to gondola ride and walk up the steep track for some healthy exersice. Took us a little bit more than 30 minutes. Really great view even if not as great as from Jans Peak. We were also lucky with the weather so i got some good photos. Would recommend this and also to go to the top if you have the time and energy for it.

Awesome experience. I highly recommend getting the gondola package with the 5 luge pass. Don’t pay for the luge separately at the top or else you’ll end up spending a lot more money. The view at the top is amazing and the luge was a lot of fun.

What a way to see Queenstown. Simply amazing views. Good restaurant and bar. Chance to go further up on the ski lifts and have a go at the 'luge'. Walking tracks to take you higher too if you have the energy. I did the stargazing option. Back after dark for a guided tour of the night sky - the constellations are all upside down to someone from the northern hemisphere lol! Great evening's entertainment.

When I was up there at the lookout platform and saw this view, I immediately thought to myself, “This is by far the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen in my life!” I couldn’t help myself. I was in awe. The crowds didn’t take away the thrill at all (you just need to wait to get pics haha). Queenstown boasts many adventure activities. I didn’t get to experience much this time, as I was traveling with my mom and she wasn’t interested in those. But just the views from the skyline alone were enough to make memories of a lifetime. Oh my god, I’m still not over it!! (Only the Emerald Lakes at the Red Crater of Tongariro Alpine Crossing in North Island could top this view... but in my mind they’re just so different, and now it’s a tie. I might need to see them both in winter to determine who wins ;) Parking was difficult, but we managed to find a spot in a parking lot that was a 10-15 mins walk from the base/ticket counter. The buffet restaurant on the top of gondola base is great. Good value for money if you purchase the gondola & buffet combo ticket. Lunch is cheaper & give enough time to 15:00 to enjoy your relax & delicious meal. As long as people don't compare the buffet to fine dinning restaurant.

An attraction you must not miss in Queenstown! Such an amazing vantage point for breathtaking views. There are also restaurants and activities for the entire day such as luge and bungee jumping!

The ticket price is 39NZD for go and return. There is a 4 hours free parking outside the base. A lot of activities up the skyline. Like bungy, swing, dining, and you can view the sunset up there. The view is amazing up there. It's one of the most go location in Queenstown for me. High recommend

Many activities you can do there, including taking and riding bicycle to up there. Very good view. Unfortunately when we came the weather not too good, rain came all day.the food in the restaurant also in good taste and in a big portion.

This was a really fun thing to experience when we were in Queenstown. I highly recommend the Luge. I wish I knew the helmets had GoPro attachments, that would have made for an awesome addition to the holiday video. Be sure to purchase at least 3 rides down the luge because the first one is on the kiddie ride which is a whole lot slower than the full speed course. After you finish your rides there is a lovely patio where you can enjoy a cold beer before you finish up the rest of your day in Queenstown.

All the roadworks at the time made it very hard to park near. So the walk to get there was the worst part of it otherwise the venue is still amazing we love the place

Great experience. Easy to find within walking distance from Queenstown main area. Just behind large steps. Gondola and Luge great combination. It is cheaper to buy your tickets at the bottom if the hill.

Took the Skyline Gondola up to the Cafe for morning tea. It was a great experience with friendly staff. The challenging Covid environment can be difficult but these guys have it nailed with all the protocols making it still an enjoyable time. Fantastic views too.

The gondola ride is a bit quick to get a decent view and at $25 one way is quite expensive for what it is. I would suggest if you are fit and able to take the tiki trail instead. The views from the lookout are great and it is probably the easiest place to see some snow in Queenstown in early winter. The lookout cafe makes a decent coffee if you need something to warm you up.

I visited this place on Valentines Day'19 and to my surprise there wasn't any new experience added to the special day by the staff.. Gondola ride was an average experience. We also took tickets to the roof top restaurant - Stratosphere. Food wasn't too good. Being a vegetarian, I didn't have the joy of running out of options. Also, more items can be added in the menu to make it truly global.

Amazing views from the top and the luge was total fun

Been here twice. Once in summer time and the next was during winter. Never ever was disappointed although there’s always a large queue for the gondola ride. You just have to be patient as it’s really worth the wait. The staff were friendly and accomodating. When I dined at the buffet, they even sang for me during my birthday, which was very heartwarming. Looking forward to my next visit.

Spectacular views! A definite must go if you love seeing cities from a vantage point. As usual, go during sunset for an amazing view of Christchurch. Pro tip: use the windows on the building for a reflection shot of the entire Christchurch + mountain back drop. Truly amazing photo (see below for examples). The cable car ride up is also wonderful. One of the steepest cable car ride ever. There is also luge rides here. However, take note that the last sales close at 6/6:30pm. The luge does not go all the way down to the bottom of the mountain. It’s just at the top, but should be sufficient.

Definitely worth a visit if you're in Queenstown with some time to spare. The view alone is amazing. There is an option to hike up (hence avoiding the Gondola ticket which is substantial). The luge course here is good but not as good as the one in Rotorua - much shorter and less difficult. Other activities include bungee jumping, paragliding and lots of mountain biking.

If you want to get a true appreciation for just how beautiful NZ truly is this is the spot to see it from! A nice gently ride up the mountain leaves plenty of time for photos before you are welcomed to a base camp for bungee, para and luge Palooza! No trip to Qtown is complete without this and a bit of snow!

A highlight of the town. $35 return ticket to experience and view the town from 450 m vertical height is amazing. There's still many things you can do up there like bungy jumping, luge rides, paragliding and even going down walk. A nice restaurant and souvenirs shop are also available. Worth to visit!

Minus 1 only because it's a bit pricey for the short ride. There's so much to do up here - luge, walks, buffet restaurant. The views are excellent. We went at around dusk. The buffet is popular, so book early to get a reasonable time. We didn't want to wait for an 8:30pm seating, so just ate at the cafe. The cafe has good options - pizzas, fried food + chips, pies. There doesn't seem to be enough parking.

Really good fun. The price is a little steep but what you get with it could easily last you 2 or more hours exploring all the stuff up there: luge, bike park, ziplining, paragliding, plus cafe and bar. Don't get anything from that though, prices are out of this world, like $5.50 for a 600ml bottle of water.

Great trip in the gondola and a lovely evening dinner, we paid a bit extra for window seat with fantastic views but the views are awesome throughout the restaurant.

Spectacular views from up here! Worth the visit. One of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. We reserved dinner there and the meal was mainly western yet so sumptuous...though the cold section wasn’t too good, including one of the beefs (not the butcher section), the rest are just so delicious...My favourites were the cheesy stuff, the lemon desserts and the ice cream. The cheesecake is a must try. Definitely coming again if I can afford

Such an amazing spot to look down on queenstown and take it all in. The line took a little long because ppl with pre bought tickets got through first which is unfair as we werent aware of that option. I did the luge and also did the zipline track the zipline was amazing best part in my opinion. Great view heading up gave me vertigo but was fun.

Get the best view of queenstown from the gondala. The place so beautiful. They luge rides from the top. They have got some amazing ice creams. It’s a fun place to hang. They have got para gliding there.

Gondola trip, fantastic views, the Luge was an additional extra, but well worth it, (Hint: more rides the better, we did 3, recommend more!).

Jesus. The views here were literally insane. I highly recommend doing a bit of a hike up the hill and looking out at the scenery. It’ll take about 20-30 minutes but once you’re at the top it is just beautiful.

More relaxing sport to try for those who are not adrenaline junkies. Take the gondola up from Brecon street end and get up to the base. Takes 15 minutes . Show your tickets to get up on chairlifts which take you the Luge entry . Local to NZ and now operated globally by Skyline. Gondola return trip plus 3 luges is 57NZD. Fantastic restaurant upstairs with stunning views of the Queenstown skyline. You can try the stargazing option with Gondola which is double the price but worth it.

The best views in Queenstown can only be seen from taking the gondola. The luge was down when we went as it just snowed that morning but we didn't mind because the view was great. Pictures don't it justice of how nice Queenstown really looks from above.

The place to go for fantastic views of Queenstown and have some fun doing the luge. Restaurant is on the pricier side and you can book night tours to see the stars through telescopes. They are currently upgrading the luge ski lifts to 4 seaters so there's some construction work going on.

This was an amazing experience. After waiting in line for gondola tickets for 30 minutes, the vistas awaiting us at the top made it all worth it. Once at the top there are various activities to partake in such as the luge and bungee and there were also restaurants and gift shops of you are so inclined. If I were to recommend one activity to someone visiting Queenstown, it would be this - even if you just go to see the views.

Great way to see Queenstown! We went at night and the views were still great. There's even Jelly bean store, gift shop, restaurant and more view points at the top.

Tourist attractions destination. You will get a great view from the top however you will have to fight with lots of people on top to get a space for photo shoot. Couple of fun and scary activities you can play on top. Food as you would expect to be on the expensive side.

We spent the whole day here, was a great experience, finding parking can be a pain, we parked at an undercover carpark down the road was cheap. Look at packages online cheaper to combine activities with lunch or dinner, great views from up top.

Such a fun experience for such a TREMENDOUS view! We took part in the luging experience, while also enjoying every few each time we went up on the ski lift. Highly recommend this Skyline experience! There were also fun shops to tour!

Came up for a conference dinner. The night time vies along the track was quite nice. Quite and fairly easy stroll since it wasn't too dark. We were here in early September so there was snow on the grounds as well. The dinner was ok. Food looked good but was a bit disappointing, the scallop entree was a bit fishy but the others were ok. The service was really good. The staff were friendly and nice. Really nice scenery to look at so always worth a visit.

Lovely place to spend half a day to take in the view of Queenstown and enjoy a leisurely hike around the Skyline complex. Besides taking the Gondola (up to 4 pax), the more adventurous ones can do mountain biking and luging. The buffet lunch or dinner at the famous Stratosfare restaurant is definitely worth the money which offers stunning views of Lake Wakatipu and a menue of iconic New Zealand and international cuisine.

Visited when the clouds covered the top so no views but a sea of white. Still had fun, no views meant no clouds.

This was a once in a lifetime opportunity. When I was there it had Zero lines the whole time I did 5 trips and never had wait at all. God willing we never have pandemic like this again but there are some small perks.

We come up here to experience the thrill of the luge mostly, but the views from the top are gorgeous on their own, and well worth the visit up to the top if that’s all you do. The cafe is pretty good, and has a good variety of lights meals to choose from. You can also find plenty of seating both indoors and out to take in the vistas that abound. Watch the paragliders set off, then soar around the skies nearby, check out the mountain bikers setting off on their downhill runs.

Nice view. Took the gondola and luge package (2, 3, 5, 6 rides options available). My friends and I got the 6 rides package. Definitely did not regret it. Would go again. Prices are reasonable as well. Remember to head to the lookout deck at the skyline. Wonderful panoramic view.

Couldn't be helped but I had this booked on a misty day with heavy rain. The view was seriously restricted due to the poor weather but the ride up was pleasant and the buffet lunch was excellent. The waiting staff were attentive and all the food was all clearly labelled if veggie/ vegan which was useful.

Skyline Queenstown is a great place to come if you are travelling through Queenstown. The views are incredible with numerous activities to participate in at the top including luge riding. There is a luxurious buffet at the top and numerous gift shops with many unique souvenirs. I recommend coming here, it is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

I think this is a must do, but the run down using the luge is unnecessary and is more for touristy gimmick. Adding the buffet is a nice touch but the drinks are extra anyways and you can always go buy food at the top so I would suggest not going for the buffet if you are somewhat price-conscious. Also parking near the base of the gondola is absolute nightmare and I would suggest allowing at least a half an hour before your ride time so you park somewhere in Queenstown downtown and walk up and you can also exchange your tickets for passes at the downtown location and not have to do it right at the gondola base where there's a huge line

Luge was fun!! We only bought 2 rides combo with the Gondola (cable car), we would be up for a few more rides! there was quite a long queue though, need to spare more time for this!

Amazing food, amazing views. This place is awesome. Cool ride up the gondola to the top where the restaurant is located and other activities like the luge. Awesome and very helpful staff. I’d imagine in the winter with the snow covered hills this view works look even more incredible. This is a place everyone visiting Queenstown needs to attend.

The luges are 1.6km long, which goes for around 2-3 minutes depending on your speed. It is best suited for young children and even toddlers are able to ride with parents.

What a great experience-but not if you don't like heights!!!! We booked for 8.30 dining and arrived too early really, as once you've taken the gondala, there's not much else to do late evening other than sit at the bar, which is fine! The gondola is very steep ride to the top of the mountain, but gives excellent views as you rise up and ultimately you get incredible views all round from the top viewing deck. We were lucky to have a window seat, but night had fallen so you don't see much then. The restaurant is buffet style with lots of options and decent quality food. Waitress service for drinks and clearing tables.

This place is high and cool(in winter) This place has Ludge and has paragliding. This place can see the Queenstown city and the Wakatipu lake . This place has the big building. in the building has the small market , small Restaurant and small ice cream shop . The tree is very big .

A great morning spent on the mountains overlooking Queenstown. Worth the views along, we also enjoyed the luge. The one complaint was that luge was not in great shape with a lot of "road works" in progress on both tracks. The cafe has great pizza and is cooked in a wood fired pizza oven. The lamb vindaloo looked excellent and will definitely try this if we visit again.

The gondola itself is a short walk from the city centre. It's $44 for 1 adult return, there are lots of combinations of tickets you can purchase. At the top there is a fancy restaurant and a more basic cafe. There is a short loop track at the top through the forest and also starting points for much longer hikes. There is a good lookout up there and if you want you can do a bungee etc. I got the fish and chips from the cafe which wasn't great. Fish was overcooked and there were too many chips, a small side salad with it would be nice. There was an area to fill up your bottle if you needed.

Prices are a bit high. Few options for sliding. Best to do 3 times. 5 will be too much because the lines are long and there is enough to see as well

Very steep gondola ride that can be quite exciting. The view on top is unparalleled. I enjoyed the viewing deck and just the spacious indoor sitting area to relax. And don't forget about the luge!

Came once and came again. Worth the ride up the gondola! The fact that they care enough to be upgrading systems show how much they care about the place. The ride up was breath-taking, partly because of the altitude but also because of the view. To think that I once bungeed off that same spot but now don't have the guts to shows how we must all try something once in our lives before we lose our edge! No paragliding or bungee today, but we hit the luge. We bought the 3 ride package but we HIGHLY RECOMMEND the 5 or 6 ride package. We promise it to be worth your money because we were filled with regret after riding 3 times and thinking "oh man we could have done another 2 more if we had bought the package for $3 more per person!!!"

I am loving it! I took the lunch at the restaurant and had luge rides. It is fun and the view is stunning. I was having 3 luge ride with my 2 year old son. Additional 2 dollar for the kid sharing the same ride with an adult. I was driving a 6-berth campervan and it was not easy to find a parking spot for it near the skyway. Ended up, I paid 10 dollar for a 4 hour parking near by.

Incredible views, the bar is a great place to relax for a few drinks. It can definitely get a little crowded at times but it's well worth it as the crowd's generally clear fairly quickly. The gondola ride up can get exciting if you move around abit too

A must do if your in Queenstown! Beautiful views of the city and landscape! We had lunch there as well. They had a great buffet with a wide selection and had a seat right by the window. Highly recommend it!

I had low expectations but this was so much fun! I would totally recommend this for any age group. You can manage the speed yourself if you want a sedate cruise or a super fast run! Lots of people were there but was managed well by the staff so felt pretty quick getting into the carts.

Always love skyline, beautiful scenery of the whole Queenstown. Recommend to go visit at night, you can see all the stars and all the lights of Queenstown. Ps, the luge riding is funny and love it.

We had very limited time to go up and see the views, just an hour for a turnaround. It was really worth it tho! Even had a coffee and an icecream from the cafe. Next time when we have more time we will try luge too.

Beware: The gondolas do not stop. If you have somebody that can not jump in quickly or are not sure, ask for help. The view is amazing. The restaurant is well priced with a very good selection. If you like Jelly beans I recommend purchasing the special at the bottom where you buy the tickets. Parking can be hit or miss, there is parking, but it'll probably be full, but maybe somebody is leaving. Good luck.

The Luge is a must do, like the slogan "Once is never enough", recommend to do at least twice, as the first ride you are required to ride on the beginner track. I personally didn't try the faster track as I was riding with my young daughter, and yet we still had so much fun.

+ The view is great and the luge was a lot of fun! And you can avoid the huge queue at the gondola base by getting your tickets at the O'Connell shopping center. - However, the whole facility at the top is crowded and a majority of the staff at the luge ride is rude (maybe a consequence of it being crowded).

We went here on our visit to Queenstown. It was a must do my wife really wanted to do. The queue for the toboggan was lengthy but went pretty fast. The ride down is amazing. You are looking at some of the best scenic views while racing down the mountain. Well worth doing. We loved it. Get your picture taken it is a great memory.

Great visit. Worth going up for th views but deffs try and find a deal and pre purchase your luge tickets. One ride to buy at the top is $15 or online it's like $2 for extra rides if pre booked. Shorter courses than the Rotorua one. We did 3 runs and that was enough.

The best view of Queenstown! The gondola ride was fun but was over in a few minutes. The ride up is steep, if you’re afraid of heights then probably best not to look down! Ticket prices are very expensive ($44 return) but there is an option of walking up. Would recommend, a must do if you’re in QT.

Excellent attraction to visit with the whole family as it caters to everyone. The view from the deck is brilliant. For the adventurous ones they have paragliding, bungee and the Luge. The Luge is very popular with kids and adults. We took 4 rides and each one is fun. Please ensure to keep kids secure in the chairlift to go to the start point of the Luge ride. It's safe but kids are kids so better to be safe than sorry. Don't forget to go to the kiosk next to the Luge chairlift to purchase the photos. One of the camera angle takes a photo of you riding the Luge with a backdrop of the Remarkables. Awesome. The cafe food and coffee is delicious too. It also has a small playpen with toys to keep kids busy. The gondola ride from the base station can be a long wait due to a large queue especially during holiday season or weekends. So ensure to carry some entertainment for the young kids. One can take the stroller, use it in the queue for the little ones but fold it to board the gondola. Highly recommend a visit to Skyline Queenstown.

Awwwwwwesome!!! There arent enough words! Perfect tourist attraction, with activities for all ages. Even small children will enjoy the gondolas and most get the hang of the luges pretty quickly, even the downs syndrome we had with us managed it by herself. The staff were all so obliging and friendly, even in the face of frustrating and unusual circumstances. I highly recommend skyline for everything we enjoyed there and more we didnt have time for.

We bought the packet of gondola and 5 luge rides and loved the experience! Luge ride is a must. It is very fun and family friendly. I was nervous on first ride but got loosened up and enjoyed all the subsequent rides. There is a short introduction and orientation before your first ride. Would recommend it!!!

Someone recommended this too us and we were so thankful we went!! The gondala is a relatively short ride but a wonderful overview of Queenstown and the surrounding mountains. And if you have a taste for mild adventure - the luge ride was phenomenal! We went 5x and glad we did! For the more adventurous there is also bungy jumping and paragliding! A must do on a sunny day! How ere the line ups for tickets can be long but they move them along pretty quickly.

A very beautiful tourist place with many sight seeing. You may stay on Queenstown for few days and join the local tour for sight seeing. Rent a car for visiting other nearby cities such as Dunedin, Pukuki, Wanaka etc. However, the price here is little higher than the other cities. For example, Manuka honey, local blend Coffee. I suggest you may buy your sounvire in a more cheaper price in other cities. Please always check your price.

Awesome fun .. must do for sure. I hiked up and saw some amazing bird eye view of the city, mountains and the lake and took the gondola down. The luge itself is super fun and everyone one can do it. There is a height restriction for kids but even with that they can ride with their parents.

An activity that must not missed in Queenstown. We took the combo of Gondola with 5 Luge rides and never regret. The Gondola rides was smooth and efficient, the que was not long and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The view above the hill was just stunning with 180 degree over Queenstown surrounded by the mountains. The Luge ride was another highlight of the trip, it is so fantastic to have luge ride on the hill with cool weather. Our young children just enjoyed it so much. Recommend to take the 5 Luge ride as 3 will never be enough, after all the price difference is just very small.

A must do when in queenstown. First of all take the well built and clean skyline up the hill side to the luge. Where there are some amazing views of queenstown and its lakes. The luge is also well built and maintained with good turn around. 2 tracks to choose from and starters slope to a fast track. Only down side i could see was the price and parking. Price was a little bit steep but still got your well moneys worth. Parking at the bottom was quite small for the amount of people who were floeing through. Well worth the 5 star still!

You can get better views driving up some of the mountains around Queenstown. It’s nice up there but the viewing platform is way too small.

Great view. Suggest no going up if you have a fear of heights. But it is totally worth it.

The best place to try the luge with a breathtaking view as well as with two different tracks to try. One is a blue track that is more leisurely (must for first ride of the day) and the other is a red track that is more adventurous with steeper slopes. Worth the price coming there for excellent fun you would never forget.

Must go place for kids and adults, great fun, great food, coffee and views. But be sure to get there early or near lunch time if yiu drive, very hard to find a parking spot.

A great experience! The gondola ride was a little hair raising- is so steep! But totally worth the views. The observation deck provided us with stunning views of queenstown. The luge is awesome. The warmth inside was appreciated in the middle of winter. Definitely a must do activity!

Staff were fantastic and very very helpful. For me to visit this venue was very very difficult due to my disability but staff made sure they were there to help and assist so that we were able to call this day the highlight of our visit to Queenstown. Stuart from the Luge staff, you are a legend! Thank you for having the wheelchair ready for me and for pushing me between chairlift and carts at the top and bottom of the tracks! Also the fellow who sold us the tickets and arranged for the wheelchair and was there to assist before and after the Luge rides, you are a very polite and well mannered young man. Thank you also for your assistance. Also to all the other Luge staff and Gondola staff, thank you for your friendliness and helpfulness. To the cafe staff, shame on you! You might have been finishing up for the day, but it would not have hurt to firstly acknowledge our presence, but secondly to smile and politely inform us that you were closing the cafe. Instead, you walked away from us and turned your backs on us! Access and parking at the base of the gondola ride, although available, was bedlam to negotiate, but that is part and parcel of such a heavily populated tourist attraction. At least the car parks closest to the building were on flat ground to allow me to traverse from the car to the building.

Situated approx a 10 minute walk (uphill!) from the centre of town is the Skyline Gondola, the steepest cable car lift in the Southern Hemisphere. The views at the top are AMAZING!! The main attraction to this was the luge which was SO much fun!!

If you use the Bookme website, you'll score yourself a discount. We got the gondola ticket plus 6 luge rides for $69 each. The only gripe I have is the inconsistency of child age eligibility for a lot of activities. The gondola gives a great aerial perspective of Queenstown. The luge seems shorter and not as scenic as Rotorua but you still get air in places and good speed if you're wanting to still wanting to compete against your mates. Other activities include the sky swing, ledge bungi, paragliding, and the Ben Lomond walking track.

Very nice and one of the best Skyline locations in the whole country. The Gondola ride to the top of the mountain is very steep and offers some very breathtaking views of the surroundings. One can book tickets online or on the booking counter. The views from the top are even better. The luge rides are a major attraction with kids and adults alike. There are different tracks based on level of expertise and conditions. There is a restaurant and a cafe here which is a good chilling place for all. We had a great time here and luckily had got a perfectly sunny day, which amplified the breathtaking views of the Lake and mountains. Very highly recommended.

So much fun! We went skydiving, bungee jumping, and bike riding. The luge was maybe our most fun activity. A bit pricey, but loads of fun. 😊 We'll definitely be coming here again

The views are incredible. Try and spend as much time as you can up here. The luge is incredible fun. Would recommend at least 3 times as the first time you have to go down the less steep blue track, only then are you allowed on the faster red track.

A must do when visiting Queenstown. Quite pricy, however there is no limit for how long you spend at the top, so I recommend making the most of it and taking your time to take in and enjoy the views.

Views are brilliant on a fine day. Luge is fun, plus you can relax at the top with a snack & drink before returning to base. There is also a restaurant.

Loved it. Great view, and the luges are awesome. Did it two days in a row. You really want to avoid the busier times, as elder tourists will clog up the tracks. Definitely would recommend though, one of the highlights of Queenstown

Totally awesome fun, amazing views. Pretty dangerous, saw a little kid get totally wiped out, zero steward presence on the track apart from one photographer. Still, I had loads of fun.

Good way to see the majestic scenery

Great place to view Queenstown, and for thrillseeking within the city. My kids were hesitant on the chairlift for the luge before we went up, so we only purchased the 3 rides each on the family combo. But once they went up and down just twice, they kept saying we should have purchased the unlimited ride combo (NB: Unlimited pass is not available for purchase at the top).

You do get really good views of Queenstown from here but for $44pp, it’s on the pricey side. If it wasn’t because we had to go up for paraglide (where you get another free ride), it might be an attraction that can be missed - or alternatively do the walk up.

We had the buffet at the top of the skyline. Foods were ok & plentiful. The view was to die for.

This thing is an unreal amount of fun. Many helmets have GoPro mounts so you can bring your GoPro and the luge is just a blast. 100% reccomend

Great views from the top. Luge ride is average pretty short courses unlike Skyline Rotorua Gondola and Luge. Near vertical rise when riding the Gondola which is pretty cool. Not too much parking located at the base so best to park away and walk to the main entry.

This is a service that commutes passengers from the base of the mountain to the top of the mountain, by gondola (suspended carriages on a moving steel cable). At the top is a large building comprising restaurant, bar and viewing facilities, both indoor and outdoor. Outdoors, there is dining and viewing opportunities and the luge... a low to ground kart on wheels that allows you to race downhill on two separate tracks (slow and fast). Overall, we had a lovely experience, however, the food hall needs to offer greater attention to having only a single pay station with queues blocking customer passage in the area. Beyond that, panoramic views, food and alcohol service...

Very, very fun, for both kids and adventure-seeking adults. Price is still high, but probably the cheapest thrill you can have in Queenstown. I'd recommend at least 3 luge rides, possibly 5. On the first two, you're just warming up, learning how to use the luge, and trying out the two tracks. The third is where you really start enjoying it fully and can race your friends.

Gondola ride and luge were so much fun! Especially the luge... you need to book for at least 3 rides (trust me, you'll want to go back for more)! All ages and skill levels should give it a go too!! Even if you're nervous before your first ride, you'll be grinning ear to ear by the second time and wanting more!

If you’re fit, then consider taking the Tiki-Trail, which is a 45-60min foot walk through the forest up to the Skyline. The view is spectacular.

Definitely worth the $$ going on the gondola! The view was exceptional. We went end of January but still a bit chilly, so don’t forget to bring a jacket if you’re planning on standing outside after sunset. Definitely plenty of room on the deck if you wanna bring a tripod and take long exposure shots. The gondola stopped taking people up after 9pm, but we had no problem getting down staying until 10pm.

An awesome and a must do experience with AMAZING views of beautiful Queenstown. It's not cheap but it is worth it as is the Luge experience also. Great for all ages and a highlight of our week long trip to this region. Lovely views from the top from both the cafe, viewing platform or the restaurant.

Great views!! Best to go early and avoid around 11am as thats when the gondola is the busiest. The mountain bike tracks are awesome, our favourite was Vertigo onto Thundergoat. A nice flowy fun track with awesome berms and some cool table tops and rolers.

We really enjoyed this. We bought five rides and could easily have gone for five more. A bit expensive, but you get to feel like a child again.

A must-do when you go to Queenstown. The Luge has exploded in popularity but it's still worth the one or two rides (even if the wait is half an hour). The guys at the top do a good job and the view at the top is worth it!

Great experience Allow plenty time to enjoy at least 2 to 3 hours. Pick a clear day I loved the trip, views, contemplation, my postcards, pie, coffee, family vibe. I will be back to see a sunset. If you come bring positive vibes.

The luge is fun but don't waste your money just to go up the Gondola. You can easily get similar views for free by driving up a nearby mountain.

World class establishment. Rode m.t.b bike park, fast flowing service separate from the public line, don't have to load or unload your bike. Coffee, food and a cold beer available outside at the top with Picnic tables to relax and take in the view....awesome!

I was reluctant to go, but decided to be one of the many, many tourists who make the journey. I was happy I did.

The whole of Queenstown is built for tourists, so it's not a surprise that the gondola is too. It's for sure worth getting the luge pack or booking to do something else up the top, because there's not much free stuff to make it worth your while.

Yes it is super touristic and yes it is super fun. Expensive as well as everything in Queenstown. But since we hiked to the top and not did the gondola ride we had some Dollars left to try this. We strongly recommend to do the hike to the top. You get wonderful views on Queenstown and the bay.

I took a round trip to see Queenstown a little higher. Queenstown is already a beautiful city... but when you see it from above it's even better! If the weather is good then take the Skyline to see Queenstown becomes unavoidable !
