The price seems a bit high, however if you are creative in posing for the excellent trick art paintings, with a person who will take your photos patiently. It is worth every cent, there are a couple of example photos so you get to have fun in posing.

Did the farm ride and the 3D trick gallery. Kids loved feeding the animals I asked how they tasted. 😂 Plenty of great photo for the family album.

Fun place to visit, did the gallery and the farm tour, great fun for kids, a tractor tows a covered seated trailer around and stops to feed the animals along the way, the staff were lovely and friendly. The gallery was fun, only downside is the crowds while waiting to take pics at every single picture was a bit yo much for me.

This is such a cool little place to visit. I took my 3 kids here (5, 4 & 4) so I could only half appreciate the artworks. The kids were excited and going full noise so they only spent about 0.5 seconds at each painting. Miraculously, I did manage to get a few photos and they look super cool. The artwork is impressive and they save the biggest image for last. To get a photo of the waterfall image, go upstairs and take the photo off the balcony. The gift shop has some pretty cool things if you want souvenirs.

Probably a good place for kids but not so much if you're travelling as an adult especially for the price. The artwork is phenomenal however the experience itself is about one's ability to take nice photos with the art, which wasnt so great here. It would have been nice to have something like a stand to keep the camera on at the right angle for each piece. The way its setup at the moment, you need to keep asking the other guests to take pictures of you. Overall, still a fairly wholesome time.

I loved it and my family loved it. It is so much fun for family activities and specially if you want a good laugh and feel closer and connected with your kids. It is fun for groups as well. There are 50 great real life size paintings. We were lucky and it was a very quiet day so we could take tones of photos. I would totally recommend to all my friends and will go again if I am back here. Thanks 3D art gallery :)

Loads of pretty cool 3D art. We found it really hot and stuffy inside. Fun if you love posing and taking a million pictures of yourself. We found it an average outing compared to other adventures we did in Rotorua.

A fantastic way to spend the afternoon with friends and family. So many ways to get a memorable picture. Staff are great in Explaining how best to use the illusion art for the picture you want. There is still plenty of ways of making a creative and unique photo. Along the way there are photos to get you to understand how to use the picture. So much fun and the shop has some great deals for alpaca garments and toys too.

This was good and great fun to use your imagination whilst taking pictures to get the best effect. Expensive for what it was. Both children under five went for free but $25 each per adult. Not worth it. Would have preferred to pay $10-15 max and spend money in souvenir shop. But worth a visit, as quite funny some pictures to pose to.

It was really fun my family got there at around 11 ish and there wasn't a line all of the art work was really cool and there were photos on the wall to show how to stand in the picture and there were stickers in the floor showing were to stand to take the picture we were in there for an hour to an hour and a half and when we left there was a long line

The gallery was ok. A bit of fun just for taking pictures. Suites younger kids below 10 years old, or make sure your kids have friends with them to take silly pics. It was ok overall. It can get quite busy when multiple ppl are there which makes it a bit harder to take time to take pictures. The Farm tour was way better and the farm tour guide was great.

Went through in 25mins this was my 3rd 3d art exhibition so I wasn't wowed but great to see one in nz and great to see Maori pieces in there . . The price could be cheaper for families we paid $50 for 3kids and 2 adults and that's with the hotel discount

What are fantastic place! It was recommended by a friend, and I am glad we came for a visit. We spent a couple of hours here snapping away to get some great family/holiday/memorable pictures. The entry price was resonable, however place did get cramped when there were about 3 other families in the same area.

I had seen lots of posts and reviews online and had some reasonable expectations that it might be a paradise for Snapchat and instagram lovers. Even though I am not a big participator in mentioned social platforms, we spend so long trying to create believable poses and expressions to match the backgrounds. It’s definitely fun. I would suggest to have a look at the combo options for buffet. If weather has been not so good for you, it’s worth a visit. Staff is polite and helpful. Toilets & parking plentiful.

A great idea. Some amazing art and the photos come out superb. The only down side is it is quite small and as such when it gets busy you end up rushed. The last and largest mural is fantastic but would be good if there was some way to manage the flow as people tend to wander into others pictures. Overall a great spend of 45mins and lots of cool pics.

A totally unique & fabulous experience! The only thing that would have made it better was more photos near the paintings to give you a few ideas for your poses (there are usually only 1, 2 max). Totally worth the visit. We now have amazing photos to savour for years to come.

My two kids and I enjoyed taking photos and it was fun time. We went at 4pm so nice and quiet. Gift shop at the end had good discounts, so bought some items and deer food... It was not easy to give them as deers were far from fence. Eventually they came and had good feeding experience.

Excellent place to take the kids. They have some really cool pictures/scenes for you to take your pictures. A creative mind and a bit of action/role play will create some cool pictures worthy of display. The only 'downside' is that if you would want to take a picture with everyone in your family, you would have to ask someone kind to take pictures of your group. If not it will always be one person missing from the picture which is the camera man. Alternatively a tripod might work?

Becomes difficult taking photos with so many people milling around especially with kids running around just as you pose for a photo. The gift shop at the end was very good and surprisingly cheap. We went midweek and were swamped. Hate to imagine weekends. A bit pricey.

This art gallery is full of illusions with humour and character and the art really is spectacularly done. We went while it was very busy, had to wait for a while before going in and once we were in the gallery we had to wait further until other groups were finished taking pictures so try to go when it is not too busy. A little tricky with our younger children (1 1/2 and 3) who don’t understand the concept of the gallery so we had to end the visit early. We still got great photos so I’d definitely recommend this attraction to those without young or patient children.

We took our year 4-6 students and families for an afternoon and the gallery staff had a group challenge waiting. Our students were so engaged with working together to create unique and stunning photo shots, we easily spent an hour and a half at the 3D art gallery. Beautiful and wonderfully clever art pieces, waiting for a visitor to bring them to life 🤩

It's a pretty great place! But, there were no souvenirs in the gift shop that had "3D Trick Art Gallery" on it! I love small souvenirs with the name on it, all it had were ones for the Heritage Farm, so that was disappointing.

Be warned if it's a busy day it's very hard to not always be in someone's way when they're trying to take a photo, and then they're in yours. But you get some great photos at the end of it, it works really well even just with cellphone cameras. But for the best photos you'll want to take a proper SLR if you've got one.

Finally something new and exciting to enjoy in Rotorua! Having visited for Roto Vegas for nearly 30 years from Auckland, 3D Trick Art Gallery is a long-awaited welcome addition to the Rotorua attractions. The 3D Trick Art Gallery is very fun - you can spend as much time as you want taking photos against a wide range of paintings tailored for New Zealand. The quality of the paintings are very good. We found that taking a video as well as photos make it more fun - especially the big room at the end of the tour makes great video. I would highly recommend the 3D Gallery followed by the Heritage Farm Tour. The animals are cute and the lunch was good! Can't recommend enough!

So so so chuffed with our experience at the Trick Art Gallery! Created so many hilarious pictures even with our little wriggly bottom. The staff were incredibly kind and humble, the art pieces were golden. Tried to show our wee one how to moon walk or break dance on the moon, they had to have a little lie down 😂😁. Had a great time with my family there. If there's a lot of people, it can be hectic to take photos, but I went at a good time. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time with all the different illusions, but the wonderful staff offered to let me come again (with my reciept) the next day to finish the experience. Absolutely loved it. So did the kids. We did the Farm Tour. Was so great being able to feed Ostriches, 4 different varieties of sheep, Alpacas, llamas, donkey, 3 different varieties of goats. We didn't feed the cows bit there were 7 varieties I think. We saw rabbits, roosters and guinea pigs, merino sheep, shetland ponies... Definitely recommend the Farm Tour. Very informative too. The farmer was great. Saw the farmdog round up the sheep and saw a sheep beinf shorn.
