Amazing experience, can't recommend this highly enough, we did the Ultimate Tour. Many thanks to our great guides Harry and Nicki for giving us such a great afternoon. Everything was perfect and lots of laughs were had along the way. We'll definitely be back.

What an awesome thing to do while in Rotorua. Highly recommend the Ultimate Tour. Thanks to Jess and Matt who were the best guides...funny, informative, passionate and super friendly. Thanks also to the lady at the front counter (I'm sorry I can't remember her name) who did the meet and greet with genuine enthusiasm. A great morning out over the canopy of native, virgin forest. Ziplines were fun, safe in the hands of guides Charlie and Stacy. Interesting hearing about the conservation work Canopy Tours are doing in the forest and how money from our tour goes towards this.

We had such an amazing time doing this, the staff are super friendly and down to earth and make everyone be a social bunch all together. Charlie and matt had lots of knowledge on the native forests and wildlife. 100% recommend

My husband and I really enjoyed our tour! Fantastic enthusiasm from our guides Harry and Ash. I felt safe even when out of my comfort zone. A beautiful setting to be in and great to see a company making a positive impact on their environment 😊 this was the ultimate course and I’m not super fit and managed fine 😅

We had so much fun. Definitely recommend the ultimate tour. It was an awesome way to see the NZ bush as well as the results of all their conservation efforts. My partner was a little nervous at the start but our guides were super friendly and made her feel comfortable. I would happily do this again.

Absolutely loved this. I am scared of heights and never having been able to cross a suspension bridge before I was surprised how easy it all was. The staff are brilliant at explaining what is going on and what to do to keep us safe. Part of the cost of the tour goes into conservation work in the forest and they shared what they were doing with us. I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone. It was a great experience.

Probably the best experience you can get for zipline. I did the ultimate zipline, so much fun! Highly recommended. And super educational!

My family and I really enjoyed our tour with Dana and Natalie. We learnt a lot about the forest, it’s native species and pest control, the last of which inspired my final zip down the tour when I forgot to put my legs up. Really fun time after being locked at home for 4 months. 10/10.

Fantastic experience, definitely recommend doing the ultimate tour because it's the best bang for its buck. the customer service is fantastic, the guides are enthusiastic and clearly love what they do a lot. Jesse and Paul are awesome guides, they have a very down to earth attitude and as mentioned before they clearly love what the do which rubs off on everyone around them. In summary, the guides are really great, great customer service, the experience by its self is incredible. 10/10 definitely recommend and will most certainly go agian when I can.

I have been to the Original Tour twice...and both the times I enjoyed the same...next time I will try the Ultimate Tour..friendly staff, cracked jokes to calm the nerves of some who were scared...

Huge thanks for taking my daugher and I up into the trees. It was not only exhilarating but highly educational too. I really love the environmental work that you guys do, and I appreciated the insight into how the work is improving the local ecology. For us both, the 2 hour tour was over far too quickly and we'll definitely be back to do the bigger tour.

Excellent experience!!!!! I was totally freaked out at the beginning but the 2 guides were amazing, Luke and Tanaya, they supported me the whole way through the journey, they made me feel absolutely safe. Thank to them I had a lot of fun doing the ziplines, I can't wait to sign for the extreme canopy. The whole experience was a 10 of a 10. I recommend this experience 100% !!!!!!

We had such a fun afternoon doing the Ultimate Canopy Tour with Marty and Paul our guides. It is definitely worth the price, with some going towards their conservation efforts in New Zealand native bush. It is an informative and adrenaline fueled activity I would recommend to anyone visiting Rotorua!

Great trip. The guides are excellent, both fun and highly knowledgeable. The zip line rides are amazing, flying through the forest seeing the tree tops from a birds perspective is an experience I will remember for a long time. But the most impressive part for me was that the guides where able to calm and assure my very frightened 10 year old daughter, to the point that she was super confident by the end of the trip.

I was lucky to be included on the ultimate tour by Rotorua Canopy Tours over labour weekend. I enjoyed every moment immensely. The ziplines are so much fun and the view is awesome. The forest is beautiful and the birds are really lovely. The conservation efforts being done by this company really impressed me. The guides were hilarious and kept us going with good old kiwi style humor. We felt safe at all times and in good hands. I can highly recommend this tour to everyone, you wont regret it! what a fantastic trip! The guides were helpful, fun and very informative. the work being completed and the history to the company and its origins are a great yarn and so important to the environment and a unique piece of NZ. The zip lines were fun for all in our party. the youngest (6) needed no encouragement, where others did need a slight push! Highly recommend this inspiring activity to any and all.

Was a really fun experience! It was interesting to learn the reforestation and conservation work the canopy tours contributed. Clear instructions on our safety and our guides are really entertaining.

I had a blast on the Original Canopy tour with our fantastic guides Martin & Matt, who were very knowledgeable about the surrounding forest and made the entire experience fun and exciting. I felt safe the entire time and had a lot of fun taking the challenges they set us while zip-lining, like falling backward into the zip-line and posing off the edge of swing bridges! I would definitely recommend this tour for people of all ages who want to go out and explore some of NZ’s remaining virgin forest!

Incredible experience for our Christmas work function 2021. From the first point of contact right through to waving goodbye, the service was impeccable, the experience surreal and our team thoroughly enjoyed every moment. A special mention to the guides in my group, Ash and Liv, fantastic effort and the passion for the forest and native wildlife was evident for all to see.

Our ultimate zip experience was so much fun and exhilarating, but was really impressed with the conservation part of the tour and having a better understanding on what is being done to restore our lush forest. This was our second visit- this time the ultimate tour! Another amazing experience with wonderful guides! The Rotorua Canopy Tours team are really exceptional- they ensured we had an excellent experience. I'd like to highlight the customer service team members who responded to my emails when arranging our tour; the welcoming and friendly experience at reception; and especially the knowledgeable, personable and safety conscious guides. We felt we were in good hands (with attention to Covid protocols!!) throughout and their passion for the forest enhanced our enjoyment. We loved it and will no doubt return again. It is a special place and amazing to experience the forest from a different perspective. Both tours are so much more than just a fun trip....you get to be immersed in nature and be part of a valuable conservation effort of our native Taonga. ka kite koe ka mihi!

At the beginning a bit disappointed because there was a misunderstanding with our reservations. Booked for ultimate experience and got the Original. Got reimbursed though. The hole experience was AWESOME thanks to Nui and Jessie (sorry fory spelling if written wrong!) we had so much fun and learned a lot about the forest and nature 😁. Totally recommend and for sure will be back with my lil one and then again for the ultimate experience! 🎉🎉🎉

Hands down the the most amazing experience we have ever had in New Zealand . We came in to have the original canopy tour for my husband’s birthday. Liv and Ash were our tour guides, they are very passionate about what their doing and were really wonderful. They even arranged cake for my husband’s birthday. I wish I had more than 5 stars. The best place to go to experience the beauty and thrill of New Zealand. Thank you so much Liv and Ash for the most surreal experience, you guys are the best. World class!!!!! We loved every minute of it. Had an amazing time celebrating our 11th wedding anniversary doing this. The guides were amazing (Paul and Ellie) because they were fun amd informative but above all very professional. There's something to be said about soaring through the forest and listening to the awesome bird song

The original canopy tour had breathtaking views, Courtney and T were amazing, full of knowledge and energy! Its totally safe. For someone with fear of heights, I say its totally doable! Keep up the good work guys!

Harry and Dana were amazing. I'm scared of heights but was told I needed to do this. They were incredible and I felt safe the entire time. I would definitely recommend it as it's a great way to see the virgin native forest and zip line.

I came here with RGHS for our tourism assessment, it was super fun even though I was terrified to do it for the first time. Took the "Original" canopy tour and it was a blast. Megan and Morgan were our guides. They were very nice, very knowledgeable about the area and the forest. Patient with those in the group that were not as fit or were a little scared. Very reassuring. The safety protocols were apparent in everything they did. They never lost focus even with people talking around them. The 220 meter zip line from the 1000 year old tree was a group favorite but the entire experience was epic! Would definitely do it again! Bonus is a portion of your ticket is going back into the forest conservation of wildlife etc. So a definite feel good time!

What an amazing experience the Ultimate Tour was!! We had such a fantastic time ziplining through the native forest, keeping our balance on the swing bridges and seeing the forest (and a big weta!) and all its splendour from the high platforms which at all times we felt very safe. Info on the conservation side was very interesting and it's great to see something is actively being done to preserve our beautiful forests & its wildlife. Me and my nephew did the ultimate zipline it was really cool on 1 the lines there are 2 lines together so you can race your friend or whoever you are with and its about 4 or 600 meters long and you go really fast down it to. When you finish the last zipline you abseil down from the tree which isn't to bad. There are also 3 swing bridges on the ultimate course to. We both had a good time doing this must do if you in rotorua

for the wuss whos questioning going, this review is for you ! im a wuss, im not sure why i even agreed to going lol. i was super nervous on the first platform thinking 'nope i cant do this' - even shed a few tears - but i managed them all ! our guide Nicky held my sweaty hand each time i got scared on the steps (so ... all of them 😅) and was so patient with me, Charley was encouraging me over the walkie and cracked lots of jokes as we went along. the best guides :) super glad i went and would recommend it to all wuss' out there. bit scary but LOADS of fun ! ur missing out on an incredible experience if u let a few seconds (or minutes!) of fear get in the way. such a rewarding experience

This is an addictive activity, the more you do the more you want to do. We loved Scott and Billy. Thank you for calming our fears and helping us gain confidence. We loved seeing the birds and feeding them. A real highlight of our holiday.

I took two 10 year olds, and we had such an exhilarating time! The guides were awesome - they're fun but also very professional and caring. It was an added bonus getting free photos, and feeding the Robins and Tomtits. The conservation work they do is fantastic.

I can't sing the praises of this outfit enough. My traveling companion has a pain condition, so we did the original experience first to ensure she wasn't out of her depth. We had an awesome time with super funny guides (warning: kiwi humour) and so we came back over the new year to do the ultimate. The gear is completely suitable and whilst you can get yourself into trouble if you are silly (ignoring instructions from the safety briefing)... I felt safe at all times. They even squeeze time in for information about the virgin forest you're in and the pest control initiatives you are in part helping to pay for by taking the tour. This really is a great event and if you're in Rotorua... I'd highly recommend. They are situated just opposite the luge so you can't miss it. Ultimate trip top tip: In the 400m tandem race zip line... curl into a ball to decrease your wind resistance and get a speed edge on your opponent. General tip: You dangle from a harness by two flexible cables. You are likely to turn, to correct this for some semblance of control extend one arm or leg out to one side only. Enjoy. I hope personally they make an even bigger track because if they do I'll definitely return.

Definitely liked our experience. Our guides were very nice and really knowledgeable people. We had a sunny day with hardly any wind too which was great. There was 4 of us and we teamed up with another 5 making 11 of us all together (including the 2 guides). We paid $756 for the 4 of us, which was just far, far too expensive. We did the ultimate course which had 6 zip lines, and a walk around a cliff-face finishing with a drop on a rope at 1 meter per second for the last activity. We really did enjoy ourselves, and i would have rated higher... but the $189 price per adult was waaaay over the top. Should have been half that price. Thank you for a great day though.

If you have ever been to Rotorua and never added Canopy Tours in your TODO list then you have made the biggest mistake. Totally worth every penny and I would go again and again!! Thanks guys, Stacey and Luke for taking care of us and all your dad jokes.

HOLY COW!! Simply AMAZING! Loved every single minute of this canopy tour. The instructors/tour guide were very friendly and helpful. Learned a lot on conservation also. Went with my mum who was super scared of heights but with the instructors/tour guides it made her feel safe and she had an amazing time.

I brought my three sons, aged 11, 15, and 17. We all had a blast. It was a lovely way for all of us to make memories together for a morning. My 11 yo asked a million questions and we learned about the trees and birds and the conservation efforts in a way which engaged the kids, encouraged good behavior and gave them hope for the future. And we got to go on amazing, beautiful, massive zip-lines and bridges over and through stunning and massive trees. The guides were professional, but appeared relaxed, and happy. My boys loved their humor and seemed to be pondering zip-line guiding as a possible career.

This was an awesome adventure, challenged some of my fears anout heights and ‘letting go’ so to speak. I am pleased I did the original canopy tour. Our guides Matt and Courtney were fun and engaging.

This is an absolute must do if you come to Rotorua. I brought with me, my three boys ages 13,10,7. We went on the Original Canopy Tour and they say it’s one of the best experiences of their life and I agree. Our tour guides Scott and Natalie made this trip so enjoyable and were so good with the kids. I can’t wait to come back and do the Ultimate Canopy tour when the youngest is 10 years old.

One of the most amazing experiences you can do in Rotorua if not NZ! These guys take you though the canopies of a completely native NZ forest. Zipline your way between the towering trees and walk along swing bridges 50m in the air. The guides were extremely friendly and informative and we learnt alot about the amazing conservation efforts that Rotorua Canopy Tours are doing to eliminate pest in the native Bush! A definite must do while you in Rotorua. Couldn't recommend enough 👌

Rotorua Canopy Tours was one of my must do’s when visiting Rotorua. It was cold and wet outside, but they provided this jackets and thick gloves to keep us warm. The ziplines are deep in the woods, so it wasn’t raining too bad there. Riding the ziplines was fun and amazing. They had some really long ones that you got to pick up a lot of speed. Our guides were great too. They made the entire experience fun, entertaining, and educational. Our guides were Bessi, Luke and Will. It was cool that halfway through we stopped before one of the ziplines for snacks, hot coffee, and hot tea. It was really nice since it was so cold outside. Ended ziplining by jumping off a ledge to get down. It was overall a blast and really enjoyed our time. The Ultimate Canopy Tour were around $160 USD per person. Comes with a group photo at the end. Suggestions - Bring your GoPro. You can take some amazing photos and videos! Suggestion 2: You can get discount tickets to Polynesian spa after your zipline. Big discounts!!!

What a great way to spend an afternoon. Luke and Harry were amazing tour guides with a raft of knowledge around the native bird life and forest. Their passion for this part of their work was so genuine and great to see! The ziplining was unreal, such a different way to view the Bush and with the support from Luke and Harry, my family were able to go outside of their comfort zone and enjoy the day! An activity not to be missed!

Best tour I've done in NZ!! The knowledge of the guides make the tour what it is. Being deep in a beautiful part of New Zealand and experiencing the wildlife is mind blowing. 100% recommend for anyone wanting to get a taste of what NZ use to be like.

I am literally afraid of heights and I still recommend doing this! Our guides were Matt and Stacey and they were so fun and friendly that I forgot about 90% of my fears; Not only did I make it through without so much as a scratch, I really enjoyed myself! An incredible forest adventure. The zip lining through the forest is breathtaking and our guides Luke and Morgan were awesome. I also appreciated how this company is deeply involved in protecting the virgin native forest. They use a portion of the ticket cost to set traps for invasive species such as possums and stotes so that the forest can continue to thrive and be preserved for future generations. One of the best things we did in New Zealand. It's a bit pricey, but it's worth every penny.

Absolutely enjoyed this, went here for my 10 year old brothers birthday and absolutely enjoyed it, Alex our guide was friendly and entertaining giving us information about the wildlife and the commitment that they have done for this area including trapping and planting. The ziplines are fun and 100% safe. Try do a backflip or two and they give a scenic view. 100% recommend this if your in Rotorua.

Safe adventure. Im not much of a thrill seeker but this place allows for people like me who want to feel both the thrill and safe at the same time. Speaking as a person who is not fond of heights, i quite enjoyed it despite being high above the grounds. Plenty of ziplines to make u feel like you're flying. Breathtaking views. A must go if you are in Rotorua. There are a few courses to choose from.

My husband and I did the ultimate canoply tour and it was amazing. Staff (Alex and Harry) are great to hang out with. They are very professional and well prepared. It was very easy to enjoy the tour following their instructions and advice. The views were absolutely stunning. Appreciated the free snacks, water and pictures!

An amazing zip line tour - I have now done both the Original and Ultimate tour and cannot pick which one is better as they are both great. The forest is spectacular and the team are great fun and made us feel safe. Cheynne, you are a great Guide - Holy Cannoli !! I am also impressed with all the conservation work you guys are doing. This is a must do tour!!!

More than what we expected. My wife and I had a fantastic time on this tour. The tour leaders, Cam and Isaac were great, they were very experienced and installed confidence in everything we did on the tour. Also. Zip lining is awesome.

Came here with my bf for our 2 year anniversary. He's adventurous and I'm not, but Jess and Paul were so nice and understanding that I managed to do all the zip lining. It was scary but once you're off the platform, it was freaking amazing. Jess and Paul were very informative and gave us warm drinks which we didn't need cause the excitement of it all just kept me warm the entire time. Absolutely loved it and we're going back for the Ultimate tour next time.

Amazing way to experience native NZ! Apart from the adrenaline buzz of zip lining, hand feeding the birds was primo. Being in the tree tops looking down was really unique too.

My dad and I enjoyed the Canopy Tour earlier this month. Our guides, Matt and Emily, were fun and assuaged my fear of the tree bridges by checking on everyone's comfort level and their constant entertaining and kind communication. I highly recommend this as an activity for your travels on the North Island in New Zealand. The guides also provided an education about the local forests, bird populations and their company's commitment to restoring the forests for the returning birds. Sweet As! (I'm still not quite sure what that means but I feel like it works here.He he)

Most enjoyable. The two guides were bloody awesome. Even for over 50's, go for it. Easier than I thought and expected.

The ultimate canopy tour is worth every dollar, it was so much fun. Your money goes towards conservation efforts that protect NZ wildlife which is awesome. The tour itself was amazing and beautiful. The staff were friendly, informative, and I felt safe in their hands. Would recommend to anyone coming to Rotorua.

If you do five things while in Rotorua, make sure this is one of them!!! You will soar, you will sail, your inner child will be set free! A bird even ate right out of my hand! This tour is pure magic and it’s also helps contribute to the protection and restoration of New Zealand’s virgin forest! Take the extra long tour, you’ll thank me later!

Awesome experience! 2 course/trails, we did orginial and the experience was great! Grab a gopro for recording of your adventure! EDIT! 1 YEAR LATER, done the ultimate course, again highly recommend checking it out! Such a fun experience and the guides are absolutely a great time!

This is a great thing to do for the entire family. We went with our seven year old and boy he loved it. Friendly guides and amazing views. Good to see part of the fees being used to kill pests in the forest. Amazing progress there. In short, highly recommended!

Amazing experience in rejuvenating native forest. See plenty of rimu and NZ birds as you zip through the canopy of the forest. Guides were quite funny and engaging and had your safety in mind. Worth every penny.

The guides are professional, banter stops any nervousness (to some point !) The safety measures are absolutely top of the line. The scenery has to be seen to be appreciated. A couple of informative stops were enlightening. Everyone is catered for according to their age or fear factor. Highly recommend. The grandson in the photo is standing hundreds of feet above the canopy on a short set of steps. She didn't have to push him off !

I am nearly 60 and have a major fear of heights. Earlier this week my daughter, 8 year old grandson and I travelled to Rotorua and did the Canopy Tour. I was terrified but thanks to our incredibly patient, friendly and supportive guides Charlie and Shelley I managed to over come my fear and complete the tour. Their knowledge, professionalism, kindness and humour made us all feel safe and secure at all times. We were so lucky to have them. It was an incredible experience and one we will never forget. We learned a lot about the wonderful conservation work they are doing to preserve this beautiful forest and the native birds that inhabit it. It was very special for my grandson and I to both have a North Island Robin take a worm from our hands. My daughter and grandson loved it so much they plan on returning to do the Ultimate tour. I cannot recommend this experience or the guides highly enough.

Highly recommended and in my opinion this tour is one of the top things to do when visiting Rotorua and the surrounding area. Our tour guides, Courtney and Jesse, made us feel totally at ease and looked after us so well. The zips are an absolute thrill too! I had done the Original Tour a few years ago and found this Ultimate Tour to be next level awesome! Walking around the edge of cliff face, overlooking the ancient native forest canopy and the valley below was probably my favourite moment. It’s a really great way to indulge in leafy native forest and learn a bit about how they save the rare birds. Zip lining is fun and exciting. You are safe because of their experience staff who are also informative and very friendly.

Wow! Just.....Wow! Did the canopy tour today with daughter and two grandkids, age range 9-70 :-) We all loved the whole experience, enough adrenaline for even the fearless grandson and certainly a satisfying feeling of achievement for the rest of us. Our guides were Ash and Courtney - they were fantastic, gave us such confidence and encouragement that we can't recommend them highly enough. Loved the thoughtful conservation efforts by this company. Will be back!!!

My family and I loved this tour, what a wonderful experience. Great value. The tour guides where great, thank Luisa and Matty! Lots of fun and great to see all the native NZ bush and birds. Also, being part of this tour helps towards conversation of this area and getting rids of pests. No doubt the bird numbers will start to increase in the future which is exciting.

I loved my tour! The guides were super nice and funny. And even though I was a chicken, they flamed my nerves and encouraged me to go on every zip line. Their hospitality is impeccable, and if you're staying in rotorua they'll pick you up! The guides also told us about how the company is trying to help rebuild the forest. I think my favorite part was being able to feed a bird from my hand. It was definitely a highlight on my New Zealand trip.

I strongly recommend to do this tour if you have the chance. Fun, educational, and breathtaking. Must see! Great fun staff to!

We booked the dawn trip for our family of four. Up very early but so worth it. We had Nui and Jesse as our guides and they really made our trip. Both of them were great fun, knowledgeable and we all felt very safe in their capable hands. Flying through the treetops has got to be up there as one of the most amazing things you can do. We’d thoroughly recommend this trip and will return for the ultimate one once our youngest is old enough.

Wonderful experience. Great coverage of the history of this forest and what has been achieved in a relatively short period of time. Okay this place, the staff and the whole point of the canopy tours was just amazing. Highly recommended doing this. We did the Ultimate Tour. It was so much fun. But knowing that the funds made from the tours goes into the funding of the forest. Can't recommend this enough. Certainly doing it again when we're passing Rotorua.

Exhilarating experience. Done it twice and I'm a not too fit 60 year old and loved it. 13 year old came with me second time around and it rained but was still a buzz for both of us!

I really wanted to review this. Before I took the tour, I didn't know the awesome work these people are doping with the profits. The money is put to conservation work to sustain and revive the glory of native NZ forests! The tour on its own is super fun and spectacular. It is worth your every penny!

The tour was absolutely fantastic. This company really cares about the forest that they do their tours in and they take you through how they are helping to conserve it. The guides are extremely friendly and make you feel at ease and even allow you to download photos that they take of you for free from their website, a rarity in this day and age! Highly recommended and will return when they open up their new tour!!

Truly the most beautiful exciting tour I have ever been on!! Our guides were super nice and made our trip an amazing experience, teaching us about our surroundings and its history, allowing us to hand feed the birds mealworms etc. I highly, highly recommend this tour for the whole family :) I loved learning that part of the tour fee went to helping the forest as well!

Really fun, all gear provided, is a bit expensive, is better in the dry but unless really raining is OK to do.

It was easy to book and the tour was very well organised with all the information coming to us ahead of time. The equipment was very good the guides were excellent. Our kids 9 and 7 both really enjoyed it.

The guides were fantastic. Friendly and good banter. They looked after our 6 yo and he had the 'best day of his life!' The forest is beautiful and the information they shared about trapping and regeneration was interesting.

One of the best activities my partner and I have done. Natalie and Dana were absolutely AMAZING very informative and always kept those who were nervous (me) very calm. They made this experience extremely fun and I can’t stop raving about it to all my friends. I recommend this to EVERYONE who enjoy a bit of adrenaline rush.

We recently took a school group (intermediate level) and they rated this highly for fun and excitement. The instructors were profesional and friendly, and The gear was in excellent condition. The conservation work was also a highlight. One of our guides, Harry, helped us spot lots of birds, including a grey warbler, and his enthusiasm is infectious - a great representative for the company!

The ultimate canopy tour was exhilarating and unforgettable. A must in Rotorua! Such a unique way to see and admire the stunning native forest whilst ziplining and swing bridge walking above and through the canopy. Very professional, safe and friendly for our beautiful afternoon in the bush. Our guides Tegan and Matty were extremely friendly and informative and explained the zip lining procedures and natural aspects so well. Lots of fun and would highly recommend. Our age group was 21, 23, 60 and 62. Great thing also was the company’s ongoing effort with conservation in the area.

Great adventure guides, fun experience, interesting facts about virgin forests and the animals that destroy them and their struggle to combat them. Good variety of long zip lines. But we did find it very tame and slow going. If they would add in confidence course type activities like at Enchanted Adventure Gardens near Melbourne then it would be the best ever especially since these trees are so much more majestic in every way.

This is a must do for anyone interested. Zip line through N.Z virgin forrest with guides. This is also a conservation project which is all very special. Guides were fantastic and personable people with a wealth of knowledge. Suits almost all ages. Very professional and thoroughly awesome.

My sister, who lives an hour away, had done this tour previously and advised – pretty well ordered – us to do it too, when we were up there last May, on holiday from the South Island. So we did. It was our first zip line and it was everything my sister said it would be. We had a great time. Five stars are not enough.

Amazing, loved this tour. Even with a slight fear of heights the guides were amazing and made you feel super comfortable and safe. Definitely returning to do the more advanced tour next time.

I had never done ziplining before - way out of my comfort zone and loved every minute of it. A huge plus having guides Jesse and Paul who provided expertise, support, encouragement and humour - at the right times. Safety every step of the way beginning with the safety briefing before we set out. Fears could not compete with the magnificent native forest, spectacular views from the canopy and encouragement from our fantastic guides. Don't let age or fear stop you - its worth having a go.

They are amazing! Jesse and Nui were awesome instructors! Professional and patient(with my very scared 9 years old boy). They have checked everything few times and explained everything perfectly! Can not recommend the whole experience enough!

We had a great time. Our ages ranged from 73yr to 11 yrs so its achievable for all. They are fully trained and so experienced and gentle at getting the nervous to conquer their fears. The original is challenging and fun. The scenery is stunning and how they are helping the forest is awesome. Definitely do this experience and if you are lucky you will have Ash and Nui.

Absolutely amazing experience for both the outstanding views and for the adrenaline filled experience. Fantastic entertaining tour guides who are willing to have a laugh and help greaten the experience. Plus finding out what the Canopy Tours do in terms of conservation is the icing on top the adrenaline filled cake. Very Highly Recommend.

These guys are fantastic, by far the best run company we have dealt with in NZ. Starting out with the reception you are greeted by an amazingly friendly and informative staff. After some formalities you get to meet your guides who are great fun to be around. You will have a ball of a day, and even get to learn about the conservation programmes that are being to help out the local native wildlife. If you do any tourists activities while you are in NZ make sure you do this! Not only will you have amazing fun and get some great pictures for free, but you will also be supporting a great cause.

Had such an amazing time going on the Extreme Canopy tour for my 21st birthday! Was blown away by the great customer service by the lovely lady who helped us with rebooking our appointment when we had issues getting there. Our guides were Natalie and Matt and they were so lovely and funny! Everything was explained to us really well and we felt safe and secure the entire time. The knowledge that our guides had about history of the forest as well as safety was very impressive! Was also nice to feel like you’re going on an adventure with friends as Natalie and Matt were so much fun and had a lot of good banter too! This was an excellent activity! We did the ultimate ziplining tour and it was absolutely worth the money, not to mention that we learnt on the tour that part of the profits go to a really successful conservation effort in the virgin native bush we were flying through! What I didn’t expect was how interesting and cool the actual forest was: we got to see some birds (fed one!), saw some werewere kōkako (blue mushrooms) and learned about ferns, birds and conservation. I could tell our guides were really passionate about what they do. All the ziplines were really beautiful and really exhilarating without being too terrifying. Guides Tegan and Ash were really fun to hang out with and were amazing guides who were very knowledgeable and super friendly, and funny. Would highly recommend the ultimate tour! Well well worth the price, and just an overall positive, educational, fun, and well-run service :). These guys seem to be some of the best customer experience in tourism I’ve had in Aotearoa.

From the moment we walked in the door, it was an instant warm welcome. Service with a smile from both a young gentleman and the bubbly Eloise. Now it was her obvious passion and expert communication skills that hooked us when she could see that we ‘mature’ folk wanted a bit of adventure. Connecting with the various travels she had and we had was the line that reeled us in and being the only two to be privileged in having 2 guides to ourselves was the sinker😊 So, why not do the Ultimate Canopy Tour which included the 400mtr zip line. She’s damn good and a credit to Canopy Tours. Our guides Matt and Jess were amazing. Being a little anxious of the unknown, we entrusted our safety in their hands and had a ball. We had 3.5 hours of fun, adrenaline rushes and moments to appreciate the tranquility. Their passion was evident in their knowledge on flora and fauna, the different bird calls and their habits, the local history relating to the forest and the way forward in protecting Tane Mahuta. Definitely the right people for the job and all three deserve acknowledgment for the roles they play. Many thanks to you all for providing an exhilarating, memorable adventure. Our guides were Alex and Wayne who were simply awesome and made the trip very enjoyable. They had great sense of humor and kept us highly entertained throughout. I recently took my holiday program to the Rotorua Canopy Tours and we had an incredible time. We had rangatahi aged 6-17 and every single one had a great time - including all the staff. All groups said their guides were helpful, supportive and passionate about their jobs and the native bush that they work in. We all had a lot of fun zip lining and learnt a lot about the flora and fauna of the forrest. I would 100% recommend going to the Rotorua Canopy Tours

We had such a great experience, most memorable and fun parts actually came from our tour guides! Jess and Will! They are so funny and they seem to be passionate about what they do, which even makes me doubt that they are doing these on a daily basis as a JOB :) (cuz I hate my job). I don’t think my journey would be that much fun without these two. Quite possibly the best activity I have been on in NZ! The guides we had, Cam and Sophia were awesome and showed a genuine interest in how everyone was enjoying the trip (they even remembered everyone’s names!!) it wasn’t the typical tourist chat it felt more like your friends were taking you zip lining. Do the ultimate tour, you won’t regret spending the extra cash... it’s well worth it! Especially the 400m long duel zip line where you can race each other. The bush is amazing and the guides knowledgeable. We will be back for sure! Top 5 must do in New Zealand! Don’t miss it.

Best Tourist attraction I've ever been to! The 2 guides Paul and a Jesse were very entertaining and it was obvious that they were passionate about their job and it really helped to make the experience that much better. 12th June Ultimate Canopy Tour with Courtney and Ash - we had a great time doing the Ultimate Canopy Tour. We thoroughly ourselves and the guides were very helpful, friendly and outgoing! Definitely recommend the tour!

The staff are very nice and they provide an exceptional service. But when it comes to the activity i really wouldn't do Ziplining again cause it is too much work for me for the amount adrenaline it pumps in my body :P. would rather sky dive but each to their own.

I honestly could not have been more impressed! What an amazing (not so once in a lifetime because will totally do it again) experience! Dayna and Nui were the best guides and so much fun. Learned so much about the fantastic work these guys are doing to get rid of predators, protect the virgin bush and bring back our beautiful backyard to its former glory. This experience is a must do! From the moment we arrived at the office, we were greeted by friendly welcoming staff. Scott, Treia and Nui were very friendly, professional, down to earth and just damn hilarious! made my group feel right at home from the get-go. A short brief and we were on our way to the Canopy forest. We learnt a lot of important information about the forest throughout the tour, regarding pest control, the growth of native trees, and the local wildlife as well! I do have a tiny issue with heights 😩 but Treia and Nui made me feel comfortable, so it wasnt an issue for me at all. The walk is beautiful, and hidden under the canopy of the forest, was very peaceful. The views are amazing and the ziplines exhilarating! Not only did i enjoy myself, but i enjoyed watching my group have a ton of fun. We were there for a good few hours, but time just flew by! Did the Ultimate Tour with Scott and Paul. Very cool, very good with someone who was nervous about stepping off the platforms. The oldest participant on my tour was 80 and he was obviously having a ball while his nervous other half got more and more confident as time went on. The view along the gorges was cool and its really interesting to be up in the canopy getting a different view . Good information on the ecology and conservation of the area and some great viewing of native birds. Recommended

A worthwhile challenging outdoor experience in native forest canopy for anyone wishing to test their comfort zones. A great way to spend three hours. Guides were well prepared and knowledgeable and well on top of any perceived risks associated with the experience. An experience that is both educational and well outside the ordinary. Great fun. Our guides Alex and Courtney were great. The two big ziplines were a 2nd to none experience. They are also doing a lot of great conservation work with trapping in the scenic reserve.

3.5-hour Rotorua ziplining adventure was amazing. Our favorite part was the tandem and the scenic zipline. The swing bridge too was great. Walking up high in the forest and learning about the forest was interesting. Our guides Jess and Nui made the trip interesting and fun.

An amazing zip line your through some beautifully untouched forest. Youbwhiz through the trees over a could of hours, getting to see nature from a different angle. I love their conservation work with all the trapping they are doing through the area. The results of their trapping work is amazing!

This was a fantastic experience & both my grandson & I just loved it! The guides Jesse & Traya were awesome so helpful & friendly. I felt very safe throughout the whole experience. My only suggestion would be to invest in a better camera! However the photos are free so that sort of offsets that! I thoroughly recommend this tour.

Cannot recommend Rotorua Canopy Tours enough! Friend and I ended up on our own personal tour due to the lack of bookings from COVID and the experience was nothing less than exceptional. Our guides Jess and Sophia were absolutely amazing! Kept us laughing the entire time while also being super knowledgeable, making the experience a wonderfull learning experience on the area and conservation. The ziplining was thrilling with stunning scenery; as someone who has a fear of heights I can say I felt super safe and my mind was completely elsewhere. I definitely look forward to going back in future for the ultimate experience!

Definitely an award winning experience and we will be telling all our friends and family. Nui and Ash were outstanding. Low key, encouraging and technically excellent. You get an A plus for health and safety. Very thorough and I felt totally safe. We are both fairly fit 70 year olds but not overly so which means it is within reach of people in this age group. We live in an area where we are constantly dealing with possums, rats and the odd stoat, as well as rabbits and Pukekos. I can totally relate to what you are doing and admiration for what you have achieved already. I can see you are passionate about what you do and I am sure it impressed everyone in the group.

Had a great time on the ultimate tour package, they were so accommodating for the surprise birthday for Mum and made it extra special. Tour guides kopie & cam were friendly, funny, knowledgeable on ziplining and also the forest. I’m a professed acrophobic but took the longest zip line tour and canopy walk that these guys offered. It was one of the most amazing outdoor experiences I’ve had! Everything was handled professionally and security was never compromised. Our tour leaders were extremely good at their job. My fear turned into fun and at the end of the tour, I was craving for more zip lines! This experience is a must when you visit the north island.

It would be difficult to pick a favorite part of the 3.5 hour Ultimate Canopy Tour. It was amazing from beginning to end. The instructors we had - Scott and Nui were incredibly knowledgeable, totally professional and organised with everything we saw and did, leaving us completely confident in their safety systems. From the total adrenaline rush of the zip lines, clambering around a rock face 50m above the forest floor, the unsurpassed views out over the top - or through - the virgin forest to witnessing the staggering work being done to clear predators from the forest; the day was a total experience. I will do it again!

What a fun day! We did the ultimate tour. The rainforest is spectacular, the trees are amazing. Zip lining through and over them gives you a different view and it is well worth it. There were a few people on our tour who weren't great with heights, but the guides were supportive and helpful throughout to ensure everyone felt comfortable and had a great time.

It was an absolute blast! So much fun "flying" through the forest rather than walking; gives a complete different perspective on nature and forestry. Friendly and helpful and fun staff - good with the safety too. They made sure we got the most out of the tour. Great ziplines - the Original was not too crazy (which I was happy with) but they do an extreme one too. Interesting to learn about how the tour plays its part in promoting the indigenous wildlife.

Absolutely atemberaubend! Rotorua Canopy Tours has proven to be meine favourite place I have visited in Rotorua to date! Across from the wonderful Skyline Rotorua, Rotorua Canopy Tours hides among the busy natured lives of the local Rotoruians! This wunderbar establishment is in the prime of Rotorua making it an extremely handy-dandy location, didn’t even have to look twice it was so easy to find! We began by taking these beautiful clean white vans that were just fabelhaft up to the zip-lining site and of course this beautiful ten minute road trip was all inclusive! I chose the Ultimate Zip Lining package because I believe the biggest package is best for the man with the biggest package! (This is of course a reference to meine world record for the biggest package to be transported across the wonders of the German countryside in 1994 by aircraft) We had the beautiful and wonderful tour guides: Louise (Lu) und Ash! It was great one of the best tours I have ever done. The guides we had where very professional and well trained made me feel very safe and took good care of us during the tour thay also made us feel at ease the while time. The Zip lines are so much fun. The facts about the vergin forest where very informative and thay work thay do to keep it the way it is is brilliant. Very very higly recomended by me and I plan on returning one day and doing the ultimate course.

I've been on zipline tours in other parts of the world's before, but this was by far the best of them all! The Ultimate tour was totally awesome, with 6 zip lines, several suspended bridges, and beautiful views during the entire tour. Beautiful native forest with a series of nice zip lines. The organization is actively engaged with nature preservation. Part of the ticket price contributes to that cause. But the best of all are the guides. Dana and Zania were professional, extremely friendly and very entertaining! A must do!

We were on the fence about doing the tour because it is costly but it was so worth it and knowing the money is going towards a good cause. We are glad we did the ultimate tour with the amazing guides Paul and Cheynne who shared their knowledge with us about the forest and wildlife. If you're lucky you may get the chance to feed the Robin bird from your hand. You feel safe at all times and the views are amazing. 3.5 hours went by super quick! Fantastic trip. Very knowledgeable guides who were also lots of fun. The experience up in the trees was great fun and the information about the forest and wildlife really interesting. Well looked after - recommended.

Myself and three children (14, 12 and 9 years of age) adored this event. the guides were fabulous, really knowledgeable and engaging. The insight into conservation was a treat, and the rides and walk were a privilege. We will definitely be back, and we would recommend it for anyone - any age, and any level of bravery. Gorgeous!

For me, it was just right extreme experiences. If you are expecting thrilling and crazy activities, I to be honest recommend Adrenalin Forest. However Canopy tour was also very fun and thrilling and you don't really need extreme strength. I loved to hear the about eco history and how they are protecting this virgin forest. At first I thought it's quite pricey but now I understand why. It includes the tax for our beautiful nature. I recommend to hire Go pro and trust is the key for enjoying this tour!

Oh what fun it is to... wander up high in the trees, cruising bridges and zip lining between them. Guides Zoë and Matt were super friendly and knew their stuff. We were on the 7am trip and it was really fantastic. Definite worth doing if you have the chance.

What a beautiful and awe-inspiring experience! We did the ultimate tour and despite being nervous about heights I felt safe and entertained the whole time. Our guides, Paul, Matt, and Matt were great and made sure we had a fun time. The sights were amazing and I'm so glad we went!

Have done a fair bit of emergency rescue rope training in the past so was comfortable at heights and swinging in a harness,which didn't mean a thing really at the end of the day. There is no "on rope" experience needed to have an absolutely fantastic time with Rotorua canopy tours. My family and I had a blast with the guides showing us around there playground. This tour was definitely the highlight of our weekend. An absolute must do.

A huge thankyou to our hilarious tour guides yesterday! glocklan (issac),Jizzle(jesse) and aubry(Liv) you guys were amazing and down to earth. we really enjoyed our adventure through the beautiful and untouched nz rainforest (the way it should be) and to have such passionate and informative guides along for the journey! we couldnt have asked for a better afternoon. 100% reccomend this tour, One we would love to do again!. Aubry was full of information ask her anything! Glocklan showed us some cool tiny dirt piles and jizzle was so kind to share his pocket of worms with us 😂 The tour overall was stunning and we came away with so much knowledge along with a new appreciation for nz in its natural state. I decided to do this tour with my two teenagers, who are absolute daredevils and fear nothing, even though I am afraid of heights. The guides were really lovely, had lots of local knowledge and clearly cared about conservation of the area. This will go down as one of my top three experiences on this trip and I can’t recommend it highly enough. So much fun!

My Fiance and I were so lucky to enjoy the ultimate tour this past week. I have so many good things to say but I wouldn’t be able to fit it all in. Our guides were Jess and Bassie, I swear they made the experience 10x more enjoyable then it already was. They made us both feel like we were just a group of friends hanging out. The canopy tour was the best way to enjoy New Zealand in my opinion. Soaring across the tree tops, amazing views, amazing course and amazing knowledge. I enjoyed how the tour was not only fun but education and how I left knowing so much about the animals and plants of NZ. We also got to stop and feed some little birds which was amazing and take memory lasting photos along the way. If visiting rotorua, definitely make sure you take part in the canopy tours and hope you get Jess and Bassie as your guides because I promise you’ll be smiling ear to ear. Can’t wait to visit again, as I will definitely be taking part once again! Kia ora from those two canadians!

Wow, what an epic experience. A great experience from start to finish. I'm scared of heights but Dave and Hayley were great at putting my mind at rest, to the point that by the end I would have happily gone round again. Safety is uppermost in the guide's minds but they also ensure you see and enjoy the forest from the most amazing and fun viewpoint, and also understand all the work the team are doing to support the conservation of the forest. This is a must do experience for any one that likes nature or flying through the air screaming at the top of their lungs. I fully recommend it.

The zip lining was a fantastic experience. Harry & Luke really set the tone for a great day, they were funny, informative and supportive. I would recommend this to anyone, even if you're afraid of heights.

4 of us went zip lining last weekend and what an amazing morning we had!!! It was one of the best things I have ever done!! Our wonderful guides Moi and Spencer were great too, they were professional and very funny which really added to our experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to get out of their comfort zone for a day and also experience some of beautiful NZ.

A fantastic experience for anyone looking to get into native New Zealand forests with little effort and knowledgeable guides to keep you safe and make the experience fun. A little bit of fitness and a sense of adventure is all you need, the team provided the rest for us. We did the Original Tour and had young kids along who seemed to love the challenge. You might want to take a warm top as we did feel the wind when we got on the higher platforms. Thanks Emily and Shelley for passing on so much knowledge about NZ native forests birds and how you are getting rid of pests.

Great adventure! We went on the Ultimate Canopy Tour. Beautiful nature, great guides and exciting ziplines, bridges and absail. Our group was taken care of and entertained by Scott, Jess and Jordan (they make up an excellent team together). Btw, they take a few good photos while on the way and do not charge extra. So we say, GO!

Amazing experience! Tons of high flying fun and they educate you on multiple important facets of canopy life. The friendly guides keep you safe while you zipline hundreds of feet off the ground, but they also teach you about the fauna and flora of the canopy! They spend tons of money each year on conservation projects in the canopy so your money goes towards more than just a good time. Do not miss out on doing this if you are in Rotorua!

This was one of the best adventurous activity my friend and I did in New Zealand! It’s worth it! We had the best tour guides Cheynne and Shanyn! They were really fun and made the experience a better one. Everyone was amazing. Zip-lining through the forest was surreal. Also got educated about the forest and more. Just do it. Have fun :)

Awesome 3 hours. Our guides (Tanisha and Spencer) were great, very knowledgeable. They got everyone in the group to feel part of one team, rather than the 3 family groups. Wonderful views and exhilarating rides on the zip lines.

We went on this tour on Christmas eve, and loved it. Our guides, Scott and Alice were awesome, very knowledgeable and entertaining at the same time. Loved that part of your fee goes back into conserving the forest. Well worth the money, highly recommend.

It was a great experience. I was in a small group, so we didn't have to wait long. The guides we're amazing. So friendly, nice jokes and they know alot about the nature. The ziplines itself are amazing. You start with a few short ones, but there two really long with a stunning view. Everything is well organized. I had a good time.

This was a wonderful mix of information and adventure. The balance between the two was spot on and our guides (Shane and Jen) were lots of fun. When I read the tour would be up to three hours I thought it would be too long. It definitely wasn't. Highly recommended!! Knowing that some of the money goes to conservation made it even better.

Exceptional experience of the large (the tree canopy) and the small (especially the north island robin), thanks in large part to the deep knowledge and expertise of Shane and Julian. This experience will bring me back to NZ to experience the new and expanded course they are now building. Three years later, this experience remains my #1 memory of our three weeks in NZ.

Had such a fun time on the original tour last night! Even with a slight fear of heights, the staff were friendly, encouraging and helpful. Absolutely no regrets (besides maybe not doing the ultimate tour with more ziplines). So much fun!

What an amazing experience, the setting was amazing, the guides were knowledgeable, friendly and approachable (once all the safety briefings had been completed) and the zip wires were fantastic, highly recommend it to anyone looking for some great fun. It also helps with the conservation of the forest by funding the eradication of invasive species (rat, possum and stoat) that are destroying the natural eco system of the area.

Really informative and fun. It was a pleasure to meet a small group of people in this enchanting setting. Would recommend for families with children so they can learn about conservation efforts and be introduced to the effects of man on nature. The guides were friendly and gave very clear instructions on safety. I was not once ill at ease.

Did the ultimate canopy tour. Great way to see the forest, guides were fun and ziplines are pretty fast. A very low wobbly bridge to get the adrenaline pumping.

Fantastic tour, very professional and super chill at the same time, great guides made the whole experience exceptional. Right down to remembering everyone's names throughout the tour and having my Sons birthday highlighted up on the sign for him which made him one happy little 10 year old. If you are a kiwi or traveler alike you will appreciate the work this crew have put into restoring and reinvigorating a great little slice of NZ. This was the best zip line adventure money can buy. Well worth it, plus they are working towards conservation efforts in the forest. Amazing experience. I am afraid of heights as is my 9 year old. Was quickly reassured and my family of 4 had the best time. Our guides were professional and had great rapport with our kids, encouraging them and helping them. Instructions were clear and we learnt a lot about the local environmental initiative's. We intend to return to do the longer one ASAP

We (the family) have done this twice and can't recommend it enough. The exhilarating feel if flying above the native forest is quite something else. Each visit we've had brilliant guides and you will too. If you're worried about heights then know that there is no pressure, the ziplines build up and it's safety safety safety at all times. Note: we did the original course, there is an additional one coming mid-2018, can't wait to get back and try that out.

I have done quite a lot of tours, activities etc in a lot of different countries and this is definitely 1 of my favourite activities ever. The zip-lining is awesome and includes some really long ones that allow you to really take in the spectacular views. Not only that it is educational and you learn about how they are trying to eradicate pests which I had no idea about. I actually forgot I was zip-lining for 15-20 minutes. Some of the money goes towards eliminating pests which is cool. The cherry on the cake is A) you are allowed bring your own camera and snap away B) the pictures they take are sent to you for free. That never happens with these type of tours. Absolutely outstanding. I can not recommend this enough.

Wow!!! So much fun!! Great 'all weather' activity, either in a group or for an individual. I certainly feel I conquered some fears today. Not only are you millions of miles from the sturdy, safeness of the ground, zipping from tree to tree, you're also learning plenty about the beautiful surroundings and how this amazing company is helping the local endangered wildlife. Thank you to the whole team, especially our very patient, incredibly comical, awesome guides, Scott and Kris with a K! You guys made us laugh the whole time and put us at ease when some of us were a bit hesitant, I ended up swinging upside-down!!!!!...Haha! Keep up the amazing work you all do. So much fun and excitement to be had for all ages.
