Reviews of Skyline Rotorua

So happy I took my family here my boys love the luge really cool on the way down breathtaking views worth doing thanks. The gondola is great value as we were able to come back later on in the evening around 7 pm to do some more luge for the boys fantastic
A.
Take the cable car up to the mountain, it's an absolute must see around Rotorua... Checkout the photos, it's stunning!
M. S.
Been going in the first week of January since 2017. Skyswing is awesome. Zip lines great too. Any oldies out there who have dicky backs would do well paying attention to instructions given on what to do as one approaches the end of the Zipline! Foods good. Place has taken a bit of a beating with covid over the past couple of years. Used to really enjoy getting there early and having the buffet breakfast. No longer a feature since covid. Luge circuits are fantastic. Always a memorable day.
R.
this place is pretty cool and a must go in rotorua. going up the gondala is a reallt fun experience which i will highly recommend. i also really liked the luge and i go on it every time i come to rotorua. the food is super good too and the view as you eat is absolutely breathtaking.
k.
LOT OF FUN AND SAFELY SETTLED LUGE very good location with nice landscape. Better buy package set cause you can not stopreturning to start again
L. T.
This experience is memorable. We celebrated a relatives birthday and we were not disappointed. The buffet almost stretches right around the restaurant and it was delicious. The views were spectacular!
C.
BUY TICKETS AHEAD OF TIME to save time and money. The restaurants are table service currently because of covid restrictions. Going back up after the luge requires you to ride a chairlift, which freaked my kid out. Refunds are available online via email. Great food at the cafe! Luge was a ton of fun, even the easy/scenic track.
Ã.
Please wash the window for the gondola
Only thing you should do and important
Great place and great services
M.
My boys & I had a blast here. Will definitely come here again. Everyone here were so friendly & chilled back, made our time here very comfortable. It's a must do if anyone goes to Rotorua.
N.
I love Skyline! The Luge was my favourite 😍! It was amazing! The gondola, chairlift, and Luge was nice! I suggest you go there
D.
Great fun for the whole family. Offers awesome views over lake Rotorua and surrounding hills. They offer great family deals... Make sure to include the luge rides..... 5⭐'s
B. J.
Not bad priced $120 for a family to use the gondola and two trips on the luge. Great fun and family loved it. Good to watch people wipe out. Advanced course has some jumps on it. Bike course looks great.
This is an iconic stop over. You just have to do it...
z.
I love the mountain biking trails down the hill. Even if you are just a beginner, there is trails that are really easy like hipster. Mr black is awesome
S.
Great smooth ride, really felt safe as I am scared of heights- no worries-.both up & down felt really safe.
Fabulous views across all of Rotorua. Best time for views just on dusk as sun behind you and views become magical.
B. P.
Family fun, absolutely amazing time. Cool things to do from biking, stargazing, go on the zipline, ride up the gondola go on the luge.... What a time
V.
I have visited Luge at many places but this place has nicest views and the steep ropeway makes your veins rush with adrenaline. Must go for tourists in queens town.
S.
Always a thrill going up in the gondola.
Only 1 complaint, wash the windows please.
M.
Wanted to take a minute and do a shout out to skyline rotorua, but especially the luge staff. They were first class, as someone who has difficulty with getting in and out of the luge trolley due to injury, the staff were so accommodating and helpful, and weren't afraid to lend a hand. So glad they have made it through covid, a great day out for all.
H.
The view at the top is fantastic! The luge is so fun! Highly recommend to come to the Skyline in the early morning as it will be lots of people and long queues after 11am.
M. A.
Awesome experience! Even though it was a really foggy day... up in the skyline, it was sunny and clear. By the end of our time (after 5 luge rides) the fog was clear.
H.
Great views, peaceful during the week, however pretty overpriced
C.
Loved racing around in the luge's - made me feel like a child again. Suitable for all ages and standards as there were 3 separate lanes.
J.
Good fun - great scanning in of vax passes at entry but thats where the covid precautions end. Hardly any mask wearing (even though it's outside, it was very very crowded), zero social distancing - even with the 2m signs the signs are really only there to comply, they are not enforced, everyone is lined up like sardines. Staff were ok, most with un-interested expressions and the girl on the exit was extremely rude, like '13 year old teenager who thinks they are cool, with an attitude problem' rude, thankfully she was on the exit!!
V.
Great views. Unfortunately could do with a clean up. Windows were grubby and hard to see threw so not the greatest of photo's. Also didn't get to go to gift shop as they closed before area closed for night.
e.
each time i go to ROTORUA , i try to bring something new to my mate from social media
THE GONDOLA was my last adventure ,
THE FOOD WAS GREAT xox
D. N.
If you haven't experienced traveling in a gondola then have a go.
Absolutely a fantastic experience.
Its safe ..staff very helpful if you have any concerns.
If you have control of your time schedule
I suggest ride up before sunset and catch the beautiful warm light across the lake and city..that of course if it's a clear sky.
When you get to the top go out side and get photos of you and family.
J.
The Luge is an awesome experience and the whole system runs like clockwork. It's heaps of fun! Definitely recommend for all ages!
C.
Today was my birthday and one other ladies group of 3 for lunch. We ordered the 65 dollar platter and chips. Iced drinks were fine but offered no sugar or straws so when our platter ca
Me out fish bites smelt off chicken dry and over cooked chips were good riblets sue had were not cold but not hot so very dissapointed. Will recomend to people no not at all.
tmanaged to spill drinks when spoons taken out. Went got cloth and straws. Mee

A fun little ride to do with the kids (5, 4 & 4). The ride was exciting for them and they could have stayed on it all day if they could. They loved being able to "see the whole world" from the top. My kids were obviously to young to do the adrenaline activites at the top (sky swing, luge, mountain biking) but there is a lovely little bush walk with great views over the lake.
It took us about 30-40 minutes to do the walk. There's quite a few stairs at the start but my kids got up them with no problem. They did better than me to be fair. There is a lovely cafe/restaurant at the top aswell but we just packed some snacks then went back down.
Great little activity for the smaller kids and takes about 1-2 hours including gondala ride.
P.
Good place to hangout for a day with your family and friends. The Luge was fun, just maybe the staff could be a bit more friendly.
C. C. 卡.
Weekend family trip! Absolutely fun and great family bonding time. Beautiful scenery and peaceful. The food also nice!
T. A.
We visited skyline to experience the Luge down hill runs. This is a perfect activity for a family and was absolutely brilliant!
You can go as fast or slow as you want in winter or summer and the ride down is amazing.
There is a gondola back up so you can go again and again and the kids LOVE it!!!’
Top tip - go early and take gloves in winter - it’s colder than it looks.
C. A.
So i began my day with just the gondola experience at $34 not too bad. I rode up in my own carriage as they let me, how sweet, and got to the top. I was looking for a cafe called Market Kitchen, which was a little difficult to find as there are no signs and i felt like i was wondering into the fancy restaurants that you had to book. Turns out you walk all the way down the long corridor and go directly left. This then goes out onto a nice seating area with a great view. I ordered the cheese scone which was decent. I then went to explore the nature walks and here is where it gets interesting, i went along and came across a pathway with an upper section and wanting to explore i ended up walking about 8k out to a beautiful scenic mountain reserve. Incredible. I think, looking back it was a bike trail, but there were no signs at all, so just follow it along and you will see bottles stuck on the hedges and unfortunately a lot of rubbish in the bushes including cones, a duvet set and a teddybear, until you come out onto a road, you can then head on up the road to the mountain peak. But at the very top there is no viewpoint, bear this in mind as its about 40mins up the road. I headed back and got a massive ice cream to reward myself from a long days hike. A generous helping was given, and then unfortunately the gondola had broken so we waited a long time to get on it agaim, but the staff were very attentive at giving out bottles and bottles of water and free jelly beans to everyone so i really appreciated that. Thank you for a great full day. 😊
D. W.
Kiddo love the gondola ride. And the luge is excellent. It’s pity that the advance track and intermediate track is on maintenance, we got to sit on the scenic track only. We go for the family ride of 4, twice and we share it among family members. It’s the best value as it’s only 32 dollars for 4 rides.
The buffet lunch is surprisingly tasty with good selection, not to mention the view offered during lunch.
If the window seat is available, try to opt for that as it’s incurred a minimum of 15 dollars spending per pax. We ordered drinks to go along with the buffet. Kiddo loves it and we enjoyed it too.
J.
Great coffee. Awesome view. Good discounts with GAP ( Gondola Annual Pass)
L. W.
Great experience, every when overcast.
Happened to be a little dreary in Rotorua when we visited the skyline. But the gondola ride was smooth and the view from the top was still stunning.
The staff enhance the experience start to finish and the gift store was great to pick up local souvenirs.
The photo book on the return trip is a good souvenir for a traveller.
Lots to see when you you get to the top. Jelly Belly museum is a must see.
L.
That was Awesome experience. We took our grandsons in January 2021. The Gondola ride was scary at first but we overcame that quickly as the view on the way up was breathtaking ❤
Our grandsons had an awesome time with their poppa riding the luge 👍
After that poppa and eldest grandson went on the Zipline which was exhilarating for both 💗 😅
The Mystery Jellybean shop was really interesting and fun. Eldest grandson spun the mystery jellybean wheel and tasted a few mystery beans. He got one that tasted like vomit lol - he said it's not bad 😁
Unfortunately we didn't have time to eat in the restaurant but will try that out in our next visit.

This place has some sort of magic to the kids and adults.. almost at the peak of Rotorua, you can see the view of the whole lake and it is soo beautiful! I’ve been to Roto numerous times but just this long weekend, we said we will try to go up with the Gondola and see the view (knowing that it was the same Skyline in Singapore where I lived for 8 years).. but going up wont disappoint you, you will appreciate the view and nature.. My son, hubby and friends go for the luge ride and they had a great time while I sip my favourite tea at Stratosfare looking through the glass and enjoying every moment.. It was a long queue during the Queens birthday weekend, but it was worth the wait! Thanks Skyline!
S.
My 2.5 age daughter enjoyed her luge experience with her dad🎉
S. K.
Enjoyed my time here, can get really busy, especially line going onto the luge, but worth the wait, and plus the line goes through pretty quickly. Great view from the top, great for family, and fun for the kids.
B. P.
We went up ahead of dinner at the restaurant (separate review). This allowed us to see the view during the day, dusk and night. As expected, it was windy, but you can still see plenty from inside and head outside for a little bit. If you have binoculars or a good zoom on a SLR, take it up. There is not much to do at the top, if you don't want to sit to have something to eat or drink, so you may want to combine that.
J.
Great place to hang in Rotorua for any age. The view from above is spectacular with the lake and town, and there is a wide platform to view from. The restaurant and seating on top is also great and offers the same views. There is also a luge that you can take to go down
K. P.
This was a fun halfday adventure!! If you're here the first time, you should get at least one of the combos. I got the Skyline Halfday Adventure Pass for $149. Comes with one free photo. Best not to come on a rainy or partially rainy day. If the tracks are too wet the tracks will be closed. This place is so fun for all ages! I recommend getting a hair net. The helmets aren't that clean and they stink. Come here when it opens cause it starts to get very busy by early noon!!! The food and drinks that they offer up there are pretty expensive.
S.
Me and my nephew did the luge today we went down 5 times each but was really busy today. We didn't have to wait to long to get on the luge but it was a pretty good day apart from waiting
J.
We love it here, fav part is the Stratosphere which really is out of this world. Biggest and best buffet ever and the food and staff are great. We live here so it's a great place to come for lunch or dinner. The luges are fun for the kids and the gondola up provides amazing views. A must do if you're visiting our small town xx
I. T.
Came here for the gondola and buffet dinner.
Gondola looks quite new, well kept and feels safe. Would have been better if it was longer and higher up the mountain (the place sits only midway up the mountain).
Buffet dinner had a selection of international foods including steak, lamb, salads, rice dishes, sushi, cold foods, soups, and desserts. Need to pay extra for the nicer seafood such as lobster.
K. K.
Skyline gondola is place of refreshment. If come here you can ride luge . It's an great refreshment place. This is my first visit but I will go again soon. It's really an beautiful place. If you guys want to do some luge ride and enjoy your whole come and enjoy. There are some rides like skyline , zoom zip lines , sky wings etc.

Its one of the lovely experience we had in new zealand. Everything was perfect and fine. Enjoyed the flawless gondola, stunning views from the up, the chairlift and the lovely people at luge and the resturant. Everything was picture perfect for a 5 star, except for the two reason. One is that I was hoping to get some photos from the luge where i did a run in advanced track which was not available (on the day i hope) which I could have overlooked but there was a gentleman who had so much attitude near where the luge ends. As we had this experience for the first time we were struggling to put our luge karts to the rails where its being send up again. We asked help from this pertuclar person who was standing near the rails and he was with so much attitude and basically shouting at us. We initially thought it was due to the reason that it was not his duty as he was wearing a different uniform(blue color kit). But to our surprise there were set of students who came just after us whom he helped them whole heartedly. Also to mention this was the only time NZ we received a such a negative experience.
A. A.
The skyline complex offers a fantastic range of activities and a few food options; highly recommend if you are visiting Rotorua!
The skyswing is a short but powerful adrenaline rush. The slow raise up by a winch builds the anticipation as you are forced to lean forward on your harness. At the top you have to pull the manual release which, under gravity, launches you to 150kph in 2 seconds! The experience is filmed if you wish to purchase that separately.
The ziplines are less dramatic but provide a 60kph ride through the trees. The highlight for me was a 13m (optional) 'fall' where for the first instance you feel like you've jumped with no support until the automatic harness kicks in and slows your descent! I wanted to do this again!
The luge is perfect for everyone - you can do one of 3 tracks (scenic was closed for us but intermediate and advance were open) and even on the intermediate you can go as fast or slow as you feel comfortable with. For more confident riders you can push yourself to corner fast while leaning hard to maintain balance and course.
The gondola provides beautiful views of Lake Rotorua at the start and end of your day. We arrived at 10:00 and finished at 15:00 (we had a coffee at the cafe and waited 45mins for the advance luge track to dry out and open) so 'half day' is more a guide than a limit!
A. W.
Loved this experience! Photos are taken as you walk in which you can purchase once you leave. Gondola ride up was quick and had an amazing view of rotorua and the lake. Once you get up the top the gift shop, jelly bean gift store and stratosphere cafe are all to your right and straight out the doors at the front and to the left is the sky swing which was so much fun, very high and very nerve wrecking on the way up before you pull the string. Outside the gift stores are the luge rides and zipline. (Luge photos are to be purchased here) they only had the scenic luge track open, 3/5 rides were awesome and the other 2/5 we were stuck behind slow people taking up the track so we were unable to pass. Zipline was awesome, instructors were awesome and friendly, at the end of the zipline I was given the option of a 13m freefall abseil(which I did and was awesome) or to walk down the stairs, I went down the zipline a second time and they had just opened up the 18m freefall abseil which they said is not open often so had to take this offer up too. After each you ride the luge lift back up to the top. Awesome experience, loved every minute of being there! Cannot wait to be back!!

It’s really good value buffet lunch plus variety they have. The lake view on top is so beautiful and you overview the Rotorua township. The restaurant is spacious and bright. The most important thing is they don’t set the time limited. The lunch time is from 12 to 2:30 pm. You can eat as much as you want and enjoy you lunch with gorgeous lake view. VH
A.
This was a lot of fun, but a tree had fallen over the track on the advanced/medium tracks. One person said it was a tree, another person said it was because the track was wet (it had rained the day before). They said it would be cleaned up by the afternoon, but that never happened. . We were only able to do the beginner track. It was fun, but would have been better if we could do more than 1 track. At the end of the track, you took a gondola ride back up to the top of the hill. You can bring your gopro, but you need to attach it to something, as you won’t be able to hold it.
J.
A bit bias cause I work up here, but when it's good it's hard to beat. Views are mean and the people are great.
N. N.
Luge tick! Is it in your bucket list? Then do it!! Worth the experience. Good fun. Get half day pass better. 1 trip going down around 6-7 min average. Then get on the gondola to go up and repeat again. Go by level and increase your level on different tracks. I would suggest if you are visiting this place. Spend one full day for it. Good place to take pictures of Rotorua town.it a must thing to do in Rotorua. Have fun
F.
Beautiful view. Cool gondolas and they go real high up!
S. A.
Big Big thanks to the awesome team....
No problem for those guys who had to turn the gondola off because of lightning and start moving people in vehicles to the top.
Overall experience was still good and dinner was great 👍
Views are always great up there.
B.
Awesome day had here. Will 100% return. Gondola is shot, only about 10 minutes max but the view is amazing once you get to the top. We did the luge karts twice and absolutely loved it. We were a little worried about our daughter who is 7 but she had no problems at all and had a blast. Only down side is it's expensive.
V. W.
Fun to ride luge and great view from the top. Haven't been im few years and the mountain bike trail has been added. A great addition to Rotorua!
I. S.
Great afternoon!! The luge was fantastic, and I really enjoyed the luge cart gondola rides back up after each luge ride. Will definitely be back. Awesome staff as well. Thanks everyone!
A.
A must visit place gandola and luge ride are so much fun
H.
luge was very fun.
I crash a lots.but.when i get what to do it was very fun.
I hopeI can go again.
nice weather.
but I got sore muscle after that.
R. M.
Had a fantastic time here . The luge was a lot of fun and it really speeds up and brings out the competitive spirit. Not to mention the beautiful views... well worth it.
J.
Buy tickets online and go to the express lane inside. Its a lot faster than buying tickets. Bring gloves if you plan to do luge and if its winter. You can also bring your own helmet. There's 2 queues down the luge. The 1st one being nearest the gindola drop off, and there's another one further up. Check if the one higher has lesser queue. Enjoy!
J. D.
Amazing afternoon, luge was fun, and as one child said, I could do this a thousand times! But what topped it all off was the sky swing. Scary but so worth it!
L. S.
Luge is awesome!
Track isn’t as scenic as Queenstown’s, with the Remarkables and Lake Wakatipu background, but Rotorua’s is longer so more ride time. Unfortunately most advance track was closed due to rain so would recommend calling ahead or booking for a guaranteed clear day.
Overall really fun and a “must do” when in Rotorua 👍👍
Check BookMe for a deal.

As expected, it was a fun activity. I rode it three times and I want to ride it again !!
N.
The luge is pretty fun and it's a nice view on the gondola. Recommend. Good covid protocol too
N.
Most essential spot in Rotorua if you’re visiting. Running the luge on shrooms was life changing.
t. h.
Luge rides are fun for the whole family! The cafe is warm, inviting and delicious. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. And the Jelly belly shop is an exprience for sure
J.
Great views good fun coming down the hill. We had a good time. Got pictures too.
S. K.
Great service, food and cleanliness. Easy access and super affordable. I love the gondola ride here. We always try to take more number of luge rides as this is the longest luge ride in NZ, compared to Queenstown. The view from top is also very appealing.
L.
Such a fun place and a must to visit!
Recommend to take 5 rides, totally worth it.
K.
This was the best way to spend the day with family and friends. I absolutely recommend the luge for a lot of fun. When COVID-19 lifts, please head to this attraction.
L.
Loved it!! Fun getaway with my family. Spent 1 day riding the luge etc.. and had new year day dinner at the stratosphere! Money well spent!
S.
A memorable experience. Enjoyed our visit.
A.
Awesome fun & enjoy
M. K.
Excellent place to spend a day. Fairly pricey, but probably worth it. The incredible Luges are the main attraction, and really are a great experience, no matter what age. My 7-year old daughter took one down on her own the first time, but subsequently preferred to ride down on successive trips on Daddy's lap.
The mountain bike trails are fantastic - up in the gondola in specially allocated MB gondolas, and zoom down the incredible single track .. then repeat.
P.
How much fun gravity can be !? Loads! Enjoy it to the MAX!
N.
Awesome experience and kids 10 and up really will enjoy it. Mountain bike trail. Kids can ride with parents on the luge.
B. G.
Back again for more luging. This time we did the Night Luge, which was a whole new fun experience. It’s hugely fun to race down the hill in the near-dark with rainbow lighting.
z.
Many fun activities. If you want to do everything, you should spend a half day here. The combo ticket is valuable.
T.
The gondolas are bigger than the ones in Queenstown, which was nice.
The food at the restaurant was delicious.
The wine at Volcanic Hills Winery was wonderful.
The staff were helpful and friendly.
T. B.
Really fun. Take the time to cruise down the hill on one of these really cool downhill demons. On your first trip just take the scenic route to get the hang of how to drive one of these vehicles. Save racing for later.
J. L.
We spent 3 hours here (from parking up to driving off) doing 5 luge rides each and grabbing a bite to eat at the top. Yes it does cost a bit but was awesome fun for our family. Still great fun in the wet if you are prepared for it in the 2-3 minute long chairlift ride to the top after each luge. They have a “second ride” lane that speeds up queues for subsequent rides after you’ve been stamped as fit to ride: passing a quick stop/go skill check at the top. It felt as if most people were up there for one ride only so our five rides were quick once we got going.
s. C.
VERY FUN! The price to get up can cost you BUT you will not regret it all, I recommend you do the Luge more then 3 times just so you can do every track. If you want to do something extreme do the skyswing they take videos and pictures to capture your crazy faces when you are screaming for your life and go into jellybelly for some sweet treats.
B.
So much fun. 3 luge rides wasn't enough!
m. e. t.
Enjoyyyyy!!!!..
ride the gondola to be at the top.. ride luge (small car without engine) to going down using track & they transport us back to the top by using the sway and ride the gondola again to going down.. such a lovely experience..
A.
This place is heaven on earth. Fun, excitement, beautiful views, friendly kiwi staff! Was our second trip here and will definitely visit every time we visit Rotorua again! Worth it and will recommend!
S. V.
Nice ride up the mtn in your own private cable car looking down on the city. What s not to like? Then reaching the top enjoy a fine buffet lunch & then Wine tasting.
R.
It's best place for family ..a beautiful top view of Rotorua with Gondola ride and 3 other ride options for adventures.
D.
Little pricey, but lots of fun and well run.
S.
Amazing views on the way up on the gondola. The luge rides were super fun, 4 rides just wasn't enough. Highly recommended for a fun family day out
L.
We had a great day out. The luges were an amazing experience! Would definitely go again.
A. D.
Such an awesome place, a must visit if you are round Rotorua, or even just passing by. You can get a Gondola ride up to the mountain, and then decide if want to walk back down, take another Gondola ride, or choose one of three Luge track to get down with a bit of speed and fun. There are also bicycle trails, ramps, jumps and that sort of stuff, which I'm not too familiar. With from above a spectacular, and you can grab a dinner at Stratosphere restaurant, which is a bit average.
P. L.
Have yearly Gondola card and use regularly. Amazing deal. Love the service and food. You need to be starving before having the lunch or evening meals at stratosphere as food is world class and lots of it. My wife and I regularly have lunch at the small cafe and can get discounts on all food and drink. A lovely fish meal is $13.00. Beat that in town!! Jelly beans are a treat too!. The ride is always fun as fallow deer graze below you and the views over the lake are great!! A well run outfit with walks, luge and many other activities with gift shop and wine tasting all run by dedicated friendly staff.
D.
Awesome mountain bike park!! There are some great tracks here and the new blue jump line awesome. It is also the home of Crankworx Rotorua.
W. C.
Took the skyline to the luge station. Great view at the top of the station. We bought the 3 rides package as we reached just 1 hour before the closing time. It was worth the price though only one out of the three tracks was opened. The luge ride was fun and track was long enough (track was longer than the Queentown luge).
L.
It's a great spot ! This is a hidden attraction.

Skyline Rotorua is a complete fun experience for all age groups. Do take the half-day adventure pass & go for all the activities. I enjoyed luge rides, skyswing, gondola ride & the dinner at Stratosfare. Lovely staff, great activities & pocket-friendly as well.
R. K.
Sweet - great view, but perhaps expensive for the 30seconds up and back in the cable car, that being said once you/re up there the views are great, and comparable in cost to the Queenstown cable car.
L. M.
My partner and I loved our time at Skyline Rotorua, as it offered a variety of activities and the weather was perfect. I would highly recommend the Half Day Adventure Pass, as it was great value for money and allowed you access to all of the activities. Everything was layed out for ease of navigation so you can't get lost. The food and staff were also amazing too! Would go again.
R.
I had a very interesting experience there, totally enjoy myself, the staff are really nice. But it's a little pity that the advanced tract didn't open until 12pm, I went there at 9am so I had no chance to experience that one, maybe next time.
M.
Been here 3 times and it's always so much fun. Its just the waiting for the luge is too long. We bought 5 luges and only did 2. Had to waste it because of the looooong wait. Other than that, it was awesome
M. W.
We had a lot of fun on the Luge! Kids tandem with adults if they’re little and it was fun to race each other. We could’ve kept going round and round for ages!
The views are lovely from the top too and restaurant was adequate. Worth the visit up if you’re at Rotorua. You won’t regret the luge!
S.
Me and my little family enjoyed our morning at the luge celebrating our sons 4th birthday. Got an awesome deal on bookme and came away with some beautiful memories x
S.
Lovely place to play among family members. Love it. Interested place in world.
P.
Was an enjoyable day with lots of giggles. This day will never be forgotten
#.
We went at a really good time (night) where there were literally only a handful of people!
Friendly people all round and amazing views.
Suitable for all peoples, shapes and sizes :)
A. D.
The gondala was amazing. Even though I'm afraid of heights it was still good. Went up during light and came down when it was dark. Only thing that would be good is if there was a light in there incase people weren't keen on it being so dark. But overall I'd definitely recommend it it's such an amazing experience
C.
Such a fun family activity! Great fun for all. Our daughter was 2 and loved it.
r. p.
nothing like a luge ride , please do not take your pass for single ride , take at least 3 you won't be disappointed , veiws are breathtaking you will have best time.
K. H.
So much fun, will definitely go back. We did the Gondola, 4 Luge rides and the Zipline. First day of school holidays and the lines were shorter than expected and the staff kept everything running smoothly the whole time. Staff were also super friendly and very clear with instructions.
R. T.
Not really a person for highest or fast cars down a mountain, but as you can see by the photos I definitely did both. The luge was a great first time experience! Quite cheap compared other places that weren't as fun and exciting. Also has a great view of Lake Rotorua. We didn't eat here as it was a little pricey, but there are plenty of things to do here. A nice way to end our trip here.
S.
100% restaurant is decent, luges are awesome, catch good speed. Only problem is that they close, 😂 haha
A. N.
Not so pleasant support staff. I guess they are just not trained well. We took the lug ride and were just trying to figure out our gate as it was quite crowded. Disappointing. We got no briefing of how to use the lug and basic safety. Gandola ride is superb.
But I guess no one bothers there as they are generally quite crowded by selling super cheap deals online.
C.
Buffet lunch today the best in rotorua by a along way. Great selection of food and drinks fresh and tasty delicious food. Great views also.
M.
Amazing views, exciting activities waiting on the other side!
A. J. C.
We've been here last March 2019 to join the Enduro World Series race (Crankworx Rotorua 2019 event). Trails are well built and designed by the pro riders!
It was an awesome experience to ride in a world class trails! For sure we will be back again in the future.
J. H.
So much fun! Unfortunately the lining up situation isn’t so great but they move relatively quickly. Lots of fun riding down although as there are basically no rules people can be quite rude. Although, it was lots of fun!
A.
Had some great luge rides and a go at the Zipline
P.
So much fun on the Luge, mountain bike tracks galore, zip lines and wine tasting of course
O.
The luge is so much fun. Exciting for kids and adults.
J.
Amazing. So much fun at this place. Give yourself plenty of time to enjoy the gondola ride and thrilling Luge ride down the hill. A must for anyone visiting Rotorua.
A.
Gondola (like a ski lift) is the ride to the top and the only way up. Luge has 3 main tracks and is great fun. Do each track at least once. Skyswing is similar to other skyswings out there, and if you're into MTB'ing, there is that too (bikes go on the gondolas with you). Food up top was very average in my opinion, typical tourist trap type affair, maybe head off for food somewhere else. Didn't do star gazing or the winery so can't comment on that.
S.
It was amazing day! Day well spent. Did 5 luge rides!😂
K.
Great views over Rotorua and the lake.
A.
Super fun, friendly atmosphere :) the luge rides were great, I recommend the gondola +5 rides combo as it gives you enough time to get the hang of it and go fast! Also we saw some deer grazing from the chair lift- so cool.
R.
What a great place to enjoy Rotorua’s view. You have to take the Luge ride! It is so much fun!
B. R.
Another must when in New Zealand, what a great day for the whole family the kids loved every minute of it. The luge was a big hit for the kids.
The food was great and the amenities clean. A little pricey but definitely worth it with great memories.
D.
Awesome family fun!! Expect queues during school holidays etc.
N.
A highlight of our honeymoon. Spur of the moment my husband and I decided we’d go here for dinner and oh my gosh I’m so glad we did. The trip up the gondola was wonderful the dinner choices, jaw dropping. We were both beaming with delight. A real special touch was when the waiter bought over a signed happy honeymoon card and dessert. Very attentive staff, the cocktails were delicious also. Sunket, our waiter was a joy.
S.
The Gondola 🚠 is so much fun viewing the city of Rotorua. Loved it😍❤️
E.
It's awesome.
Beautiful staff
This place just goes off
S. V.
Great experience....A wonderful activity for a family... Great lookout...
There are three different tracks..scenic....intermediate and advanced.....scenic is for beginners...
Gandola n luge was a good experience...
V.
Awesome luge tracks! Intermediate track was very fun - just wish the advanced track was open (currently under construction). Overall the best luge tracks we've done and would definitely go back!
T.
Highly recommend the night luge, had a great time even though it was a wet night.
Also did the flying fox which was a blast! Did the free fall jump at the end which was a rush!
Great time!
L.
Highly recommend the Rotorua Skyline Luge as a family activity. It was easy to find and lots of parking. Lots of fun on a nice day. The staff took time to teach and ensured safety and understanding. We were time poor so did not stop to eat or hung around but from queuing for tickets to finish - it took 4 of us 2hrs which was enough for me as just sufficient adrenaline boost for me as a mum 🤪😂
j.
Love the view and cable car experience
Y.
Awesome day out! Beautiful lunch, great staff, wonderful company 😊😁
K. G.
Great activity for any age; we went with parents (65) but saw very small children either riding solo or on parent's lap and the luge itself is very easy to handle.
On top of the fun of the luge ride there are beautiful views and photo opportunities from the top. There are three tracks: beginner, intermediate and advanced. The beginners lap was actually my preferred of the three, as it gives you a much longer time on the luge and is gentle enough that you could actually appreciate the scenery. The advanced track offered speed but was otherwise just a straight, concrete path that is over in 1 minute.
The price reflects its touristy nature, and a little expensive considering the luge ride itself is over very quickly and that it's mandatory to use your first ride on the beginners circuit. As it became busier there was a fair bit of congestion on the track which forced you to get to go much slower than you'd like, especially on the advanced circuit. These were minor critiques and overall was a great holiday experience that I would recommend.
B.
Awesome place to take the kids, did the skyswing and luge combo and gondola, wonderful views of Rotorua along with hours of entertainment
E.
Great fun for all
Loved the luge
The chair lift stopping and starting was a bit freaky
F.
Amazing place 😍🇳🇿
P.
The luge itself if pretty cool!! But a couple things let this place down… mainly the customer service. It seems like everyone who works here hates their job. Which is in stark contrast to all other “touristy” things we did in the area, in which all staff are friendly and enthusiastic.
It’s also a little overpriced but again that would have been helped by better customer service as the staff selling the tickets were giving us one word answers when we were trying to understand the pricing and offers.
L.
My goodness Rozanne and I went on the Gondola today and it was so awesome. The staff were so helpful when it came to getting off. We were just going to watch the Luge when we decided to give it a go.
WOW. We met Desitney and Grace when we went to pay for our Luge tickets. What beautiful young ladies we had so much fun with them. Their customer service was impressive.thanks girls we will be back.
Lynne and Rozanne from Wanganui.
C.
My wife and I did the gondola ride yesterday. Must say we were disappointed. The gondolas certainly could do with a bit of a clean Impossible to take pictures through the dirty glass(Perspex?). What’s the point of semi transparent advertising film further reducing the view. At $35 for a ride it is certainly overpriced for the experience you get. Scenic views indeed- just some hazy views through dirty and scratched glass.
However the views from the top was very good with an excellent viewing area. The nature walk was not great. Some gadgets which mimic bird sounds don’t work.
F.
Spectacular views of Rotorua, did the luge 5 times and wish I had bought more rides. Great fun zipping down the mountain for kids both young and old.
A.
Our family had a blast here. Great way to spend an evening together.
S.
Great place and loads of fun activities to do. Would have been appreciated if the website was a bit clearer in mentioning that the luge ride is suitable for small kids that can walk independently or something along that line rather than " The Luge is great for any age (our oldest rider is 101) and small children can ride with adults."
We went with our two kids - age 3 years and the other 11 months only to be told that our 11 months old can't go on the luge with us. 🙁😩😥
P.
We always have a great time here. Did the luge a few times - can’t wait for the upgraded advanced track to be completed. The kids (9 & 13) did the zip line and really enjoyed it.
J.
Used to work there before, so happy to go there again. Great service and nice food
D.
Came here a few weeks ago for family timeout and had the best time! Staff were helpful and friendly That skyswing is awesome! All the kids enjoyed the Gondola and the Luge we can’t wait to come back and do the zipline we will be back
G.
Great views and adventures. Last time visited was in 1988 and the magic is still 👌
D.
The Luge is great fun. Advanced route is by far the most fun. The ques move quickly and the ride back up is part of the fun. Restaurant on top serves delicious food. Jelly Belly jelly bean factory is amazing with tons of flavours to choose from.
K.
Had amazing dinner and gondola ride. Our server Ryan was absolutely amazing.
J.
Good fun for everyone - there are a few route options for the Luge you choose the level of challenge you want to take. They do strongly recommend that you take the slowest/least challenging one to start though.
E.
Very unique and interesting "amusement" park.
N.
Really worth the money. It’s such an amazing place and the views are incredible.
B.
Had a great time on the luge. Its half price after 1830 but wrap up warm as it gets cold!
R. F.
We had a fantastic day at the Skyline Luge in Rotorua. There are so many things to do here from Luge rides, Gondola ride, Skyswing, Zip line and a beautiful winery. Bonus tip: Night luge is available here so plan your day if you wanna do night luge.
Plan your day ahead and take the combo tickets as it works cheap. I took the Zipline mega combo which had 1 Gondola ride, 5 Luge rides and a Zipline. If you have more time in hand I suggest you take the half day adventure pass which is at 150$ and make use of it for an entire day. You have good food options and a scenic view. I would definitely be back here next when the borders open in NZ.
T. N.
It was awkward jumping on a moving gondola with a small wedding cake in tow but we did it! Thanks ever so much to everyone that looked after us this afternoon and helping with a safe delivery (to the restaurant) of precious cargo - just cake mind no babies! We visited the Jellybean shop while we were up the top too!
P. R.
We had a great rime here especially luge ride was fun. I have done luge rides in singapore but this was way better and far longer. You get two rides per ticket, so keep good amount of time to spend here. Make sure to check out the cherry blossom walk while there.
A.
Beautiful scenery and a very nice buffet restaurant. We had plenty of second courses
L. B.
Had a great time on the luge. Cable car up to the top, get some good views of the lake. We went for the 3 ride package (the first ride you have to do a slower 'scenic route') which kept us busy for most of the morning. You could easily do 5 runs and still not be bored. It is possible to crash or tip the go-kart and on the advanced route you get air. There is a cafe and restaurant at the top and you are allowed to wear go pros, I had a head strap that fitted over my helmet.
L.
Went up the gondola for dinner and to catch the sunset - was quick and efficient getting up to the top and the buffet food was really good quality with loads of selection. Was very busy!
B.
So much fun. Once is definitely not enough!
a.
Always great fun! Try to arrive earlier before the crowds come in
y.
Amazing place for flying fox, luge and mountain bike. Three levels of tracks available for luge - scenery, medium and advanced . Mountain bike track and facilities are up to the professional level.
S.
Spent the afternoon riding the luges at the Skyline in Rotorua and it was great fun. Beautiful scenery and plenty to do if you are adventurous.
D.
Lovely views, great coffee and breakfast at reasonable prices - well worth the visit.
H.
Luge is a must!! Took my husband yesterday for the first time - he absolutely loved it!! Defs be back
s.
The Luge is an excited gravity powered ride down the mountain/ tightgrip/
V.
Haven't had fun like this in years!
The luge and skyswing are awesome!
W.
Gondola and luge are amazing! The gift shop closes earlier than expected, so plan appropriately.
A.
Amazing place...wonderful experience
Helpful staff....good luck..
j.
Enjoyed the luge kids had so much fun there lovely view of the town
C.
Great place 👍 so much fun to be had for all ages.
G.
Super fun. Recommend that you use the luge station further from gondola terminal
O.
Such an adventurous experience!!! We enjoyed a lot here!! 4.5 hrs drive from Auckland takes you.
There are several fascinating rides you can enjoy here. (Gondola, Skylift, Luge, Zipline etc.)
In just $61 per/pax, you can enjoy a luge three times, a special gondola ride twice and skylift 3 times..!! A classy gondola takes you up the hill where you have a resort kinda structure - You have all rides here - out of that - Trust me the Luge ride is amazing, it is a hard ceramic made vehicle, runs only with the force of motion and applies breaks when you hold it back!
The skylift is open lift takes you up again...If you are visiting Rotorua then skyline is must do thingy!!
T.
Great view, intense fun, good food. Nothing more one can ask for in a tourist attraction.
K.
Loved scooting down the track on the luge.
S.
The park is easy to find and super pretty. We decided to do the Luge with 3 rides and honestly, we could’ve done 10 more and it still would’ve have been enough. SO FUN!
When we paid for our tickets they have a little photo girl there to take your picture as you go up the gondola. In today’s world of smartphones that photo seemed kind of pointless so obviously we didn’t buy it.
Once at the tip there is a gift shop, a couple restaurants and some other activities including the luge.
The luge itself was amazing. Our first time they made us go down the scenic track. Which was good to help us get our bearings. After that we did the advanced track twice and it was so fun. You get flying and at one point you can actually catch a little air.
Overall the luge was super fun and we will definitely do it again when we visit next.
S.
Fun luge tracks, large restaurant, good food.
V.
Good venue, bit crowded and noisy. The view was nice, food was fine. The only thing I thought was a bit over the top was paying $15 for one ltr of coke. All and all it was a good evening
P.
Luge was great fun for my wife and I. I would recommend this adventure activity to anyone visiting the area.
S.
We got the Night Luge, Adult Gond + 5 Luge. It was our first time so we were nice and early we got in right on 4:30 pm and because we did that we were just able to get in 5 Luges 😁 just putting it out there. If your keen then get in at 4:30 pm otherwise you won't be able to get all your rides in. Staff were friendly and the experience was nice.
R.
Kids love this place. And really good when there is no big queues. Also really impressed with cafe food.
S.
Awesome day. So much fun. Well worth it.
D.
Wow what can I say!!! What an experience was not much extra to get the full breakfast buffet with the gondola ride, will definitely come here again!! Amazing
C.
For the most action fun filled day Skyline Rotorua is the place to be, then you can unwind in the specialty cafe or dine at the Stratosphere for the best buffet dinner/lunch in Rototua
M.
Great place to visit, we did the luge tracks, high-adrenaline swing and also dined over the panoramic restaurant however the staff who advised on luge track beginning was bit abrasive in nature and also the lady when we returned from luge from down to up in a 2 person rope way. Smile and friendliness goes a long way especially for tourists who’s first language is not English.
M.
What a fun experience! The view is amazing from the top! Will definitely be returning to try the luge.
L.
Amazing views
Fabulous cuisine
Lively atmosphere
Great attractions
s.
Love the luge!!
And also have an excellent view.
P.
Great family experience enjoyed by all three generations 😉
D.
Friendly and helpful staff. Weather wasn't the best when we went, but the view and luge were still really good.
L.
A great afternoon activity! The staff are friendly and helpful. We had an infant with us, and the staff helped us get on and off the gondola. A busy wee place with lots to do!
H.
Wow what a park. Lots and lots of activities and fun in the sun. Gondolas offer a very cinematic view of the whole of Rotorua. Luge is great here and has tracks appropriate for every size. Nighttime access should be allowed everyday since it is truly awesome.Thrill lovers will surely love the ride skyline takes you on. Well done Skyline you did it!
A.
They have some amazing rides here. There are 3 different tracks for the Luge ride. Beginner, intermediate and a scenic ride. The intermediate track was closed for maintenance on the day we went but the other 2 were good. We also tried the Gondola which was super scary initially but eventually it becomes super fun.
M. M.
Great fun, even with toddlers!
We were rising the luge with 2 toddlers (2 & 4 yrs old), which is not a problem when taking the tandem option. The kids really enjoyed the rides as well. The dinosaurs at the scenic track were a highlight for them (every time we rode past).
Staff were great instructing us and helping to get the right luge size to ride and providing tips how to seat the kids properly so that we feel safe with the little ones on board. There has been some maintenance lately which is a good sign that the ride stays safe and the right effort is put in.
I accidentally took the wrong track entrance with one staff chasing me and stopping me before going on the advanced track with a toddler which was a great effort. I did not intend there and don't think it would be safe on a tandem ride. Thanks a lot again for stopping us and helping to move the luge to the right track!
5 stars for the luge
5 stars for value for money
and 5+ stars for staff
Suggestion for the operators: The sequence between the Scenic, intermediate and Advanced track is different between the 2 starting points which might have contributed to my mistake by changing between the staring points. Maybe colouring the start points in different colours (like on skiing slopes) would help to avoid people going on a different track. There seemed to be some really slow people on the advanced track that would be a hazard to themselves and others on the track and my mistake made me wonder if they wanted to go there in the first place.
O.
We ride the gondola up to the top, went down on the luge a few times, took goofy photos, and saw the famous sign- it was a great trip! Really great for kids, and adults channeling their inner child!
A.
Its really awsome fun place
B.
The scenery uphill is stunning. Elderly over 65 can have half price for the gondola. If you want to try the luge, come before 5pm as it closes at 6pm. You can buy a ticket for gondola plus 3 luges, it’s the cheapest and 3 luges won’t be too many. I only had 2 luges as we came too late !
S.
Today i visited the luge with my daughter and her friend. We had traveled more than an hour to visit this beauty we had already done before but that was yonks ago. My partner had previously bought a ticket so we wouldn't have to wait in a LONG queue but i know you cant help the queues but it would be good to control them we were pushed in front of and my 14 year old daughter was pushed of her luge by a boy who couldn't have been older than 9 he just laughed at her after she sprained her ankle BADLY. And the zipline was amazing would highly recommend the service was amazing but the service on the luge was not good men shouting at little kids like he had just thrown them in the back of a white van and they were trying to escape. And the lines were so long they could have been shortened if you let more people down at a time, it took 5 minutes for us to be let down its not like a traffic jam in rush hour at japan like we can breathe down those tracks. I would go again but maybe on another day when its not as busy as the trenches as word war 2 but thanks for good memories i guess.
S.
An addictive ride down the mountain side, gorgeous views of Rotorua & Lake from the top, it’s a main attraction to spend a few hours - a big thanks for offering family value tickets ♥
F.
A must do in rotorua... luge is just amazing, in summer you can have night session for more adrenaline...
B.
One of the most fun things I've ever done. Multiple tracks to choose, absolutely amazing
R.
Skyline is a good day out for those people that want different things to do from walking tracks, luge, riding the gondolas, eating at the restaurant, riding down the cycle track and the zip lines. Lots to do.
J. S.
As you head up the hill in the gondola, you can see the city begin to get smaller and smaller as you pass over mountain biking trails. I would really recommend this for families with children, or even couples. A great time and totally worth the price, especially if you want a good view of Rotorua.
H.
An excellent family fun day out! The prices are a tad steep and the advanced luge track was shut when we were there, a tad disappointing. But still a great day was had by all!
A. N.
This mountain is fully utilised! You have a gondola ride to the top where there’s also a top notch restaurant. From there you can chose to Luge down, MTB down, zipline over those two or sit in a giant ball and swing big time!
Only did the Luge and went for the 3 ride package. Too cold to ride more! The scenic route long and pretty interesting. Intermediate was lots of fun especially racing the locals who knows how to go fast and racing lines. Too bad weather caused the advanced track to be closed but saw some part of it on the chairlift. You know it’s going to be fast when the bends are banked!!
C.
We bought a zipline combo (1 zipline, 5 luges and a gondola ride). We ended up spending about 5 hours up the hill, it was so much fun!! The staff were amazing! My husband lost his luge ticket after only having ridden 3 times. The staff member at the photo kiosk was very helpful with replacing our ticket for us. This was also our first time doing the zipline. I was nervous before doing it, but both Leon and Georgia were very good in easing my fears. I'd do the zipline again definitely!! It went by so fast. But the luge is still our favourite! We tried all 3 tracks and the last 2 luge rides we spent on the advanced track. It was a lot of fun!! The scenery up here is amazing! It's sad the cherry blossoms weren't in season when we went up, but the cherry blossom walking trail offered lots of photo opportunities.
K.
It's definitely fun and worth it. Only, you need to plan ahead (recommend booking online to skip queue) and avoid public holidays as the place gets very crowded and then there's wait lines for everything.
B.
I mostly visit Skyline when Crankworx is in town and for mountain biking. The bike trails are great but a little limited. The luge is great fun. The food at the main restaurant at the top of the gondola is only average though.
A.
Great fun with kids.
M.
I attended my nephew's wedding on Saturday at the Hidden Garden. What a truly magical venue. From start to finish the level of service was fantastic and the array of beautifully prepared and presented food was incredible. I was totally blown away by the whole experience and would recommend this venue to anyone holding a function in Rotorua. Take a bow Skyline Rotorua one of the best days for many a year and highly recommended.
y.
Amazing dinner. Had a great time last weekend after the awful hotel stay at Distinction hotel. I'm glad I didn't come to rotorua for nothing. This food changed everything especially my mood!
盛.
Easy to get to, great view on a good day. Price is reasonable, especially as a gondola and luge package.
Luge is good fun. As the slogan says, once is never enough. Trust that.
They added Zipline since I was here last time. Didn't have time to do that. For $49 pp, I'll definitely do it next time. It is as long as the lift coming up from luge: quite long. But it'll finish in a min. Saw some people zipping down at high speed.
C.
Huge shout out to Tuhoi, Naz and the other guy on shift on Friday 12 March 2021 (sorry, my nerves had well got the better of me by the time you were strapping me in to ask your name!!!) on the Zoom Zipline. It's no secret how nervous I was... and you guys were awesome! I'm so pleased I went through with it and couldn't have done it without you.
Gondola ride and hotdogs in the cafe were great. View was epic on a beautiful clear, sunny day.
A.
Awesome place to come with your friends and/or family! So much fun, it can be really busy on a nice day though so would recommend coming before noon if you can.
T. D.
We had an absolute ball here. Weather was great so that added to the day. $40 for a book of the luge & a photo of us on the gondola was a bit excessive though. Cafe was good - a bit expensive but that's what I expected. In the end between us we about 19 rides :)
E.
Was here in Jun 2014. It was fun going on the Luge and the Skyline cable cars :) I have taken the Luge in Singapore, Queenstown and Rotorua.. and I think Rotorua has the best track with 3 to choose from for varying degree of difficulties and fun :)
G.
Staff as always were absolutely awesome both days. MTB Tracks are running good but def need some maintenance as heaps of wrist-shattering ruts forming on all tracks; but understandable after Covid-19 drama. Fingers crossed management make allowances for the team to tidy up the tracks...
S.
Superb place to visit with the whole family. Really friendly staff members. Even will stop the chairlift for little kids to hop on the constantly moving chairs. Kudos to the team
S.
Great family fun. Well worth it!
H.
We got the deal for 1 gondola, 1 sky swing and 2 luges from the iSite. We were lucky that the day was clear and sunny - as the sky swing was fantastic. You're strapped in and get pulled up, before you pull a cord and you're released. The rush is great! The luge rides were pretty fun too, and we didn't have to wait too long in ride. Definitely recommend going in the off season, when it's not that busy, and to get there early as the parking lot fills up.
R.
So so pricey to go here with a family of 5. We got a huge fright when the gondola closed and our little one started crying as it made a very loud bang! The gondola on the way down thankfully didn't but a bit bumpy at the bottom too, not totally smooth like some gondolas so just be prepared. Really beautiful view and lots of opportunities for scenic photos. Kids love the luge. Definitely recommend as a fun thing to do.
S.
The luge is incredible. If you get this in a quiet time, it's an amazing experience - 5 stars. If you come in a busy period, it's less fun as the tracks are crowded (line up and can't go fast down). Get here early or on an overcast day (a bit of rain is okay). It's busy even into the evening on school holidays it seems.
J.
great fun. gondola ride was beautiful. Luge was amazing and thrilling. loved it but $10 for an ugly picture of me on the luge screaming.. no thanks!
K.
Visit Rotorua at least once a year. Great place for family and young kids. Only feedback to the owner is to provide training the ticket personnels not to ask the visitors or specifically the "international looking" local tourists "Where are you from?"... A young ticket staff asked us "Where are you from?" and gave us a meh face when I replied "We are from Wellington" (with a smile).... The rest was speechless but it didn't stop us to have a good time with the kids. :)
N.
This was our second time here, Awesome experience, you don't want to miss this when your in Rotorua. We enjoyed the views going up the gondola and was a good laugh going down the Luge with our 4&5 yr old kids, Enjoyed it immensely. Recommend you check out the stratosfare buffet too its DELICIOUS!
G.
Came to the Gondola to go up the Luge. It was a tad pricier than I thought it would be; we went for the gondola + 3 Luge rides at $52. It was so worth it though. The luge is much faster than I was expecting and the quite relaxed safety aspect makes it far more enjoyable. The staff are very helpful and the efficiency means any wait was minimal. Would recommend to anyone!
T.
Went there for Xmas dinner with whanau Delicious buffet Huge selection of delicacies Gondola ride was smooth and very picturesque Luge was brilliant Fairly priced and lots of activities at the top Wine tasting too Good deals available A must visit 😀
K.
Good fun and a nice restaurant up the top.
J.
Great afternoon. Got a great deal, so can't complain. The luge was heaps of fun. Didn't get a chance to have a go at anything else because it started to pour down. Great afternoon none the less.
J.
So much fun for all ages. The kids can race the adults once confidence is gained. The views are beautiful and the way down is hard to concentrate while looking at all there is to see. The price is accessible. We booked through bookme to get a good deal
J.
Beautiful place with amazing food. Would love to come back here again next time visiting Rotorua
A.
Brilliant restaurant! I took my wife and two kids to Rotorua for the weekend before the school starts this week. Because it was raining on the day we went to the restaurant, we couldn't play luge on that day. They honored a free gondola for the next day. And it was lovely weather day the next day. My boy and I had a lot of fun. We love the different varieties of the food there. They all tastes very good too. I love the view from the restaurant too. Now I'm a annual pass holder for the Skyline Rotorua. Recommend to all.
C.
So much ❤️ fun! Take a gondola to the top of the mountain, and luge down in little carts! Fast if you want or take the scenic route. Wine tasting at the top too. Do the luge more then once or you'll regret it! 🌞
D.
What a day! We purchased the half day pass. It was fun for both hubby and I!
A little pricey but we had a smile on our faces the whole day. Food was ok. Beautiful view.
Spent a good 6 hours there completing all the rides. The swing ride was the highlight of the day for sure!!
Wouldn't go again as it was $300 for both of us + food/drinks but what an experience.
Highly recommend.
K.
Awesome! Always a blast to ride there!
A.
Great place to take kids and family.
But can be a bit pricy if you want to do lots of rides
T.
So much fun. Great views
Z.
This place is so cool! My son rushed down and had so much fun rushing down the tracks!
m.
A very big thank you to Skyline Rotorua! My husband and I recently won a prize if buffet breakfast and claimed that yesterday morning. We have visited a few times in the past but never dined. Customer service was top notch, warmly welcomed and the atmosphere was very calm and relaxing. Food was fresh,m and tasty.nice tea and coffee area with straight forward jugs rather than cuddly coffee machines.the view was incredible. We were really made to feel special. We then went in to ride the luge which was good to and was very quite bring a weekday and being only 9am. ( highly recommend visiting at these time if possible)
The grounds are very well kept, toilets clean.overall highly impressed and looking forward to returning for our anniversary in October to try out the dinner buffet. Can’t fault a thing! Thanks again so much Skyline
j.
Always a great time. Good facilities
N.
Great experience
A.
Buy online to skip the queues!
s.
Fun activities to do, some of them is adventurous and thrilling. Luge was really awesome and crowd was too. Great place to go if you’re in New Zealand and also to see Rotorua.
K.
So good, went two days in a row.
S.
You need to get there to go to the ludge... great view by the way... some "bambies" on the way!!
S.
Lots of fun, money well spent. A fun dad and daughter day
D.
Fun experience, AMAZING view!
J.
Great view, nice family fun!
A.
It is a bit expensive but worth going once to see the sights and of course doing the luge great fun and the tracks are an adventure. You get caught by the company taking photos at the beginning heading up then when you do the luge there are camera's all over the scenic and intermediate tracks so they also try and get you to pay for photo's of your day. But saying that you have the choice to leave your photos just sitting there for everyone else to look at..............
B.
So impressed with the gondola staff at Skyline today. We took my elderly dad with his walking frame up the mountain and it was no trouble for the staff at all. They observed our special need and slowed the gondolas down as we got on and off, and they communicated between top and bottom that we were coming. Very cheerful and helpful service! Big shout out to hard-working Jayden in the cafe too, who made sure we got a table in a busy time. Well done and thanks to you all!
B.
This place has it all! Stunning views over Rotorua and the lake, loads of fun activities and an amazing cafe. The different luge tracks are loads of fun and offer great views. And let's be honest, there's no better way to start a day than reenacting Mario Cart in real life. Highly recommendable for all ages! Views outstanding. As one who is scared of heights, the gondala was no problem at all. Must do
N.
one of the must see places in new zealand. good for both adults and kids. fun experience .
C.
Rotorua Skyline is a great place to spend some nice adventurous and fun afternoon. We especially luges. It's really cool to ride them down. Our favorite was advanced track!
Zoom zipline is super cool because it's quite long and you have very comfortable harness. It's great ride. At the end the was an option to jump "quick jump". That's the adrenaline thing :D
Thank you! It was a great day!
T.
Love going up the gondola using my annual card for the gondola, luge and food. Good value when using that. Lovely place to have lunch and love the view. Bit of an unreasonable wait for food.
The best part about the annual card is that you don't have to be local to get one.
J.
Amazing time ,so much fun for the family. Busy but lines moved along pretty well. Great food . Highly recommend
A. T.
Great place to visit if you are tourist. Stunning views. Good value for money. Fun for all age groups. Luge is great. Staffs are hard working but not so much friendly but doing their duties at best. Usually the place is crowded buy if you are lucky enough then waiting time may be shorter. It's pretty safe for kids too, which matters for families. So just do it!!
M.
The MTB tracks are great value with something for everyone who has ridden off-road. The luge is a little pricey but another way to race down the hillside.
V.
Pretty amazing place for fun with family.
G.
Gondola and Luge you must try, you will love with beautiful Taupo.
B.
Abit of a must do while you're in Rotorua, I suggest buying tickets through Bookme.co.nz to get a great deal. Once you disembark off the Gondola at the top, the views of Rotorua are brilliant. The luge ride was fun, the scenic/beginner tracks surface is abit rough/bumpy so I prefered the intermediate track which had a smoother surface. The ride back to beginning of luge is on a chairlift, which is an experience in itself.
s.
Dropped my phone and ticket on the intermediate track and the staff found it for me! Very fun and happy experience!! 2nd time I've been here, always good!
M.
This place is very fun and one of a kind. I enjoyed the gondola up the mountain with stunning views of Lake Rotorua. The luge was breathtaking, such an experience that can be found in Rotorua. Jelly bean shop was very cute too.
C.
Great place! Had so much fun! I would highly recommend it! It gets quite busy in the evenings, took us about 3h for 5 rides, so do make sure you allow for plenty of time as queues can get quite big
G.
Maybe slightly pricey for what it is, but the views are amazing on a clear day - and the luge runs are great fun, even with small kids. I went down with my 4-yr old son in my lap (and my wife with our 3-yr old) and they both absolutely loved it. Oh, and make sure you buy more than 1x go on the luge: it's true that "Once is never enough" ;-) Would recommend it!
A.
Love love love!!! So fun, 💜 love the luge. Had some wedges and drinks up the top.
N.
Great fun but the high cost doesn't justify the fun. Keep an eye out for deals on the internet to make it better value. Staff are efficient and friendly and parking is good.
The mountain bike tracks are great fun, but need some maintenance. One of our group sliced open his hand badly on some blackberry thorns that had overgrown onto the track. For $60, you can get 15 gondola rides to the top, which is 3-4 hours worth. That makes it far better value than going up as a tourist!
N. H.
This place is normally really good and one of the reasons my son loves coming to Rotorua. But this time the advanced luge track was closed all day. Also the intermediate track was closed on 2 occasions. We had 4 luge rides but could only do the intermediate track twice and on one of those times my luge wasn't working properly and I had to drag it some of the way.
We did do the zip line and the jump which were awesome.
Shame about the luge but we still had a good time.
H.
Main attraction are the gondola rides to the top where restaurant affords beautiful views of Rotorua. Meals are a fabulous array buffet style. Salads and seafood assortments. There is also a winery on ground premises
as is a bike adventure thrill. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Restrooms are reasonable considering bus traffic of tourists continue to arrive from early morning till late afternoon 7 days a week.
R.
Great experience for family. Can end up spending a bit of money there
T.
Fun for whole family. Recommend buying the package of at least two tickets. If you only have one ticket, you have to go through either the novice ride or the scenic ride. Two tickets and you took can do the expert luge.
I must say the little boy, who offered up his two tickets to us, because he was leaving, was one of the sweetest kids I’ve met here in New Zealand. Keewee kindness permeates the whole country.
A.
Awesome ride. From the top is the beautiful view of Lake Rotorua. You can have your lunch or dinner at the Stratosfare restaurant while enjoying the view. We really had fun.
T.
Great family fun. The luge is exciting but safe for the kids. The food at the top was marvelous. 5 stars.
C.
Absolutely fantastic. Surprisingly really fast providing a great adrenaline rush. Highly recommend if you are in the area. Night luge is all the more worthwhile. Worth the money!
A.
Loved the experience as we are not very outdoorsy people and we really came out of our shell. Very upset there was no pictures for the zip line or the trust fall. Also there were no signs to say no pictures in the advanced louge . Apart from that experience was great ! everything was on time and staff were great !
J.
It was a good fine day to do some tracks on the luge.
We brought the 3 ride pass but probably could have gone for more.
We went mid week so it was quiet and I could see how if it was the weekend or school holidays then it wouldn't be great waiting in lines or being stuck behind slow carts.
D.
Wow what a great day rides were so much fun even for the oldies like us. A huge huge thanks to the beautiful staff...Ben...Conner...Kelly for retrieving the cover for my go pro. U are the best and all other staff members were so friendly and helpful on the day . Great place to go visit
R.
Amazing Experience, great food, service, luge is awesome which cater from beginner to experienced riders. There is something for everyone, even if your not dining in, the views are spectacular,
M.
Awesome place, had so much fun!😆
T.
Although we had fun on the luge, i thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at the cafe!! Absolutely perfect!!
N.
Good place to spend a few hours with family. Kids loves luge rides and views are breathtaking. Food was rather disappointing and overpriced
H.
We took the night luge deal and it was such a value for money. We all had lots of fun and enjoyed the evening lights that lit the path.
Some of the staff were friendly and dancing to the music as they helped the riders in their rides. I love when the staff are enjoying what they are doing and having fun as they help others have fun.
S.
Great fun long lines but worth it in the end. Staff were awesome
L.
Great views of the area, cafe prices were reasonable, food was ok and luge was fun!
It's true, one ride on the luge will never be enough. They have 3 tracks, scenic, intermediate and advanced. The scenic route takes you through redwoods and what's really cute is there are some dinosaur sculptures along the way and a pitstop option that allows you to get off, take some photos and get back on the luge.
Intermediate track was ok, unfortunately the advanced track was closed as the grounds were still wet so we didn't get to try it.
S.
Totally awesome the view is amazing the gondolas fun but the luge is epic. Get the 3 ride deal it leaves you satisfied. Loved it.
S.
This is our second time hera. Luge ride is a must try. My kids enjoyed it. Even my 2 year old enjoyed luge ride. If its your first time, try to go to scenic track first its easy.
S.
Great place to spend the day with family. The top deck have spectacular view of the lake... Luge is nice and we enjoyed it... Restaurant have fast food like fish and chips and chicken nuggets as well as fresh juices, tea and coffee. Fine dinning restaurant is also there which have courses meals and wines. A must visit place in Rotorua!
L.
This is an absolute must do when you're in Rotorua! The luge is so much fun, Skyswing is an absolutely terrifying and insane experience, and the food at Stratosfare is incredible, can't recommend Skyline enough! While it is a bit on the pricey side, it's absolutely worth it
P.
We had a lot of fun at Skyline earlier this year. The luge is hella fun, and the advanced track is nuts if you can brave going as fast as you can - you can literally get hang time on one of the ramps if you pelt it down the hill. I usually hate fairground style rides, but I forced myself to brave the SkySwing and it was bloody brilliant. Definitely worth getting the package deal for gondola, luge rides, and the swing if you want a good day out. Go for the most luge rides you can get in a deal, we got 5 and by the end wished we'd gone for the 7.
M.
Friendly and helpful staff let us use our voucher early because the park wasn't busy and despite a steady rain we had a great time! The luging is super affordable and good fun for people of various athleticism.
A. Definitely somewhere I'm going to be back to.
M.
We rode the gondola and had a buffet lunch meal today $57 ride and lunch) per person. We had a 3 course meal the biggest and fresh Japanese, Korea, Australian dishes along a 20 m servery great food fresh and hot. The roast lamb was the best, steaks just cooked to perfection just red and juice showing. What a great view we had a window table great service. We are two Aussies on a road tour loved this place great value. 26 October 2017
C.
This place is highly recommended for families (also with young kids).
Our 3 and 5 year old kids (as well as our friends kids 5 and 8) loved the experience and the despite the uncertainty look on my kids faces initially, they just loved going back and forth on the Luge.
Its ashame that the advanced track was closed, but nonetheless, it was great fun:)
Friendly and helpful staff, great food and very enjoyable experience.
You should allow at least half a day when visiting:)
M.
Always fun and excitment amongst all ... children and adults included 😁 Would recommend to go not during school holidays or public holidays as the wait time can be extremely long and wait time for food can be hideously long too and expensive. The luges are a must .... even you have little ones they can ride with an adult. Beautiful views over looking Rotorua as well 😍
M.
Super fun place to go. We did the half day adventure pass which included luge-ing, sky swing and the zip line. All was amazing!
Just a word of warning - it's probably cheaper to do all the above by paying separately... it was a bit annoying that we found out that the half day adventure pass was more expensive than each individual part of it combined.
A.
Must visit if you love adventures
M.
Unfortunately the advanced track was closed for the luge when we arrived - I would recommend calling ahead and checking if this is the case for your visit. Also, we didn't get to ride many times as the queues were so big. I recommend bringing sunscreen if you're visiting in summer - waiting in line could burn you.
R.
This place is a perfect blend of everything... It has it all... Beautiful view luges and other Superfun activities, cafe jd many more. Luges did remind me of Mario Cart which was refreshing.. Make sure you get a good jacket for cold and which is water resistant. I was glad that they provide locker systems too.. Don't worry if you don't have a GoPro or camera, you can hire one from them. Make sure you collect all the photos of the activities from them. The more photos you buy the cheaper it gets. It's best escape from your busy life and to be with you family and friends with an amazing view... But make sure that you spend a whole day without any interruption from work and enjoy every moment.
G.
Re-Visited last year!!!
Probably one of the must visits while around Rotorua!! I enjoyed my time here!!
There's heaps of stuff to do here!!
There's the luge, the skyline (as seen here) a merchandise store to take back few souvenirs!!
Z.
A large, well planned area with lots to do! Everything is reasonably priced although I'd recommend getting a half day pass as it's the best value for money and you get a turn on everything! Food is delicious and well priced the view is incredible and the staff at the park are all professional and helpful. We had a wonderful time and will be back on our next holiday!
E.
Friendly staff, great luge tracks and amazing views.
J.
Great ride up and down on the gondola
Luge ride was very good with a great scenic chairlift ride back to the top
K.
Better than I thought it would be..fun fun ,and second lot of rides is cheaper...can't wait to go again
R.
Skyline was great . The
Only thing was we ordered coffee and the staff were so slow it took twenty minutes and they where not busy. Hate to see how they would go if they got busy.
T.
Awesome day on the luge definitely recommended
D.
Took the gondola up to the restaurant last night. Food was amazing! Highly recommend. Staff were lovely. Fantastic experience. Can't wait to return 🥰
s.
Ride the MTB PARK...
What an experience a good virility of tracks and are well maintained and are safe,
Good to ride with out the hassle of the the climb up to the next run.
I.
Very busy even on non public holidays or non school holidays. Lots of activities available, luge, zip line, swing and bike riding. Can be costly. Great panoramic view once at the top. Dining area also offers good view. Good selection of buffet, seats availability can take a while if busy.
M.
A gorgeous lunch in the dining room, top quality and excellent service. The winery visit and tasting I really enjoyed because the gentlemen in there were knowledgeable and comfortable to be around. All up well worth the money. My visitors enjoyed the luge and zipline very much. Thanks
J.
Amazing but...!
What a day – Skyline was great. The gondola, view, location are top notch. The Luge is super fun. At first it looked like something for kids but the three different tracks offer something for everyone. Looking for adrenaline and speed? Take the advanced track, it won't disappoint!
Lunch at Skyline is good and reasonably priced with a great selection of dishes available.
But here's the 'but': The whole place felt very unorganised... I appreciate it was a long weekend with amazing weather, but we felt that Skyline wasn't prepared for the amount of people flooding their gates.
Luckily we had pre-booked and could use the fast lane but still, the guys in the ticket box looked completely overwhelmed and took forever. When we finally made it up the hill, there was a 40 minute wait at the Luge. Again, this is probably not always the case, but our main problem was the lack of signage and explanations around where to go, what to do, how to do. You have to figure out yourself, that you just take a helmet and that the two Luge starting points merge into the same three tracks (we first thought, are there 6 tracks??). And where do you go if you spontaneously decide to do the zipline?
The organisation in the restaurant was a disaster too. No signage to guide you how their system works. Where do you pay? Where do you order? It may be different on a quieter day but today it was a mess.
The staff weren't really helpful either. More like, just doing my job, don't ask me anything.
Long story short, we loved our day up there. Definitely recommending Skyline Rotorua, and we will come again!! But the management should look into helping people navigate easier and informing them (signage or a map even, like theme parks do).
K.
Nice place to spend 👍👍
T.
Highly recommend the luge. It was so much fun! Our whole family really enjoyed it and we will remember it for a lifetime. Definitely not something they have in the USA, and was worth trying. Everybody was super friendly. There were some long lines, but the traffic flowed quickly so it didn't seem that bad.
A.
One of the main places to visit when you travel to rotorua!
K.
Views from the Gondala were nice, luge was fun - advance track was blocked off when we went though.
Helmets were very smelly and gross - wish we had known hair nets were available before we went down a few times. Nice surprise of a Jelly Bean shop up there.
D.
Good fun for all ages and very yum lunch but to be perfectly honest the customer service wasn't amazing
K.
I went to Skyline with my family, including my 3years old.
We received great service, until I went to purchase my ticket for the luge.
The young girl was slouched in her chair and did not say anything, let alone hello. She just stared at me.
I asked if I was in the right place to get a ticket for the luge and she said "Yeah. What do you want?" With such a bad tone/attitude.
What a terrible representative for Skyline.
She wasn't the only staff member that I noticed with terrible, front line service. I heard pretty much all staff members dropping the F word or S word, in casual conversation, which is a poor reflection on the company.
Management; I would highly recommend you to speak to all staff members about the their manner in front of customers, no excuses.
h.
Famous restaurant in skyline, nice view with sitting behind the window, nice food and service
L.
Fantastic experience with our disabled son, thank you. Staff were most attentive and helpful, for example, slowing down the gondola so he could get in without rushing, bringing food to us, checking on us. Thank you! All much appreciated.
k.
All beautiful. Price for photos are expensive
D.
I think more people need to try the amazing wine tasting at the top of he gondola, amazing service from Johnny. Luge was fun safe and quick. Definitely had my money’s worth.
A.
What an experience. Truly New Zealand. Adventure games, spas, geothermal lakes, skyline, stc.
B.
Nice little outing at night luge
D.
Excellent views of Rotorua on the mountain. For the luge, a word of caution: do not go for the advanced track if you're a novice or you don't like to ride the luge at high(er) speeds. [NOTE: what follows was added AFTER the owner replied to my initially short review, below] Why? Because on the advanced track there are a few sections where you need to be at a fairly high speed in order to get past them. Go too slow and you could get "stuck" or held up, which can be very dangerous since (another) oncoming rider could end up crashing into you.
N.
Fantastic, worldclass mountain biking and louge rides. Gondola ride has a lovely view of Lake Rotorua.Prices a bit steep and food in the market cafe pretty average.
O.
A very busy place, lots of cues and lines. But a lot of things to do and very fun for the whole family
L.
Great experience with the family on the night rides. Visually beautiful views, awesome, competitive, high adrenalin, full of of fun! Coming back again!!
A.
Always visit this place when we come rotorua. Love the luge rides and the scenery from the mountain.
R.
I went up the Skyline for dinner and the stargazing. The dinner was good, even though I'm not a big fan of buffet style dining, but the real highlight was the stargazing. Two knowledgeable gentleman, four good telescopes and - after the dusk clouds had dispersed - a superb night sky combined for a delightful evening with planets, globular clusters, galaxies, stars, shooting stars and satellites.
A.
Great but very very busy. Didn't do Luge as queues too long.
R.
I only did the luge (along with cablecar) and really enjoyed it. I did 3 rides so 1 on each track, It's called the luge but it's not nice on a small wooden board down a bobsleigh track. It's a kind of go-kart without an engine but it's still really quick. It's even better with friends.
The cablecar provides nice views of Rotorua and the complex in general. The more activities the less per activity you pay. That is especially true of the luge so if visiting it's worth making a day of it.
J.
I use this place mainly as a mountain biking resource. But I have done the luge and the buffet. Brilliant place and food.
M.
Good value for money compared to most tourist places around. Awesome fun getting down the mountain. It's great for kids and adults! Cant wait to come back.
U.
18Nov16 Considering the ride, the luge, the views I think this is NOT expensive. Iconic attraction today. My beloved mother in law Mrs Jesse Barbara Craig Brown (passed away 1 September 2008 at 90 years old) used to take our son (and me and my wife) up this gondola so that our son could take in the ride and (sometimes) ride down on the luge. This is a happy memories maker.
A.
Took the gondola up then had 5 rides on the luge shared between 2, great views, great fun, amenities all there and well staffed. Fun way to fill half a day easy.
J.
Surprisingly good fun and surprisingly good value. View is ok. Luges were faster and more exciting than I had expected.
Advanced luge run and 4d theatre were both closed on the day we went. But $100 for the whole family seemed pretty much fair.
C.
Luge amazingballs... Skyswing YASS!!! Real family fun!!!
G.
Grest experience on the gondolas as well as on the luge. I took my daughter twice on a tandem ride and we both loved it. Pricey but definitely worth it.
M.
So much fun! Not many healthy food options but the view, the staff and the rides are wonderful. Definetely will come again.
R.
Awesome fun. Went with an 18 month old and a 3 year old sitting on our laps. They had a blast. I would hate to think what would happen in a serious accident but if you drive accordingly all is good.
P.
A very amazing place would reccomend if you head to rotorua for a vacation and looking for activities to do there :-)
K.
It's soo much fun. Never enough :)
P.
We went for the luge and they were super fun. And fast.
J.
Get the Gondola and Luge package. This is the home of the Luge, which was invented by Kiwis. I tried the Intermediate track which got up to fairly high speeds. Unfortunately the Advanced track was closed due to fallen branches.
S.
A must vist for the restaurant, food was amazing and the customer service from Mac was exceptinal. Down points to the time there the gondala photo guy was realy pushy to buy the photos and the luge ride did not inform us about 2/3 rides being closed untill we payed and were at the top of the hill.
S.
Excellent family fun for all ages.
C.
I really enjoyed taking my partner to skyline Rotorua, for the first date we had allot of leisure and pleasure. That kept us entertained with fine wine and dining to fill our needs, I give them a 4 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I.
Today we drove from Auckland just to spend a few hours to try out this attraction. By the time we arrived there was a long queue heading outside the doors. Tip #1: Purchase tickets beforehand and walk towards express lane.
You then walk towards the gondola where a photographer takes a photo of you inside. One photo costs $20 you can grab these at the end of your trip.
After our gondola ride, we headed for the skyswing which was over an hour wait (queue was short but expect delays, if you dont pull the wire they send you back down slowly). Finally the luge, long queue but the waiting time isn't that long. The advanced lane is what we prefer, especially going at maximum speeds around the sharp bends and that drop near the end #WOW!
Tip #2: If you're staying longer after 4.30pm dress up warmly, as it does get really chilly.
D.
A great experience. Loved the night luge.
S.
Fantastic view and great place for having fun . It’s the best fun park in Auckland (just 2.5 hours driving from Auckland to Rotorua). Enjoying paying luge and end up with dine at Stratosfare restaurant. I recommended to stay at least 2 nights in Rotorua to visit more fantastic places 👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
F.
Love it good experience for kids. But a bit pricey. Would be good if there is a place for younger kids to be able to play.
K.
Quite a nice place to go when you visit Rotorua. It is a little pricey but definitely worth it. The night luge is really cool!
B.
Always good fun especially in nice weather, but after all this time they should be better at managing the queues
J.
The luge is probably the most fun activity i've done in all of Rotorua. With the nice views in the Gondola ride and combined with the buffet dinner at the top, the overall experience was both awesome and definitely great value for money!
K.
Came home for a visit from Australia and loved taking my little family here to experience Rotorua’s iconic Luge. We alll had a blast! What fun exactly as I remember.
P.
What a thrilling place! I came to this place last year on 17 July 2015 . I had come for a mini vacation all the way from India. My cousin Raj decided to take me to this place and we had great fun. I loved riding the sky ride. An unforgettable experience indeed!
C.
Came to the night ludge, was so beautiful in the gondola looking over the city light definitely a highlight. Was a bit disappointed that we only managed to go on four rides of the ludge rather than five as the lines were huge and towards the end we were hoping to get back up and down before closing but it just didnt happen ( we are totally okay with that and understand you are busy and getting up again can take time especially if the lift keeps stopping) over all a great time, the lights we so pretty and worth it!! Staff were mainly super lovely and happy unfortunately there were a few who seemed they'd rather be anywhere else (but really in a cold evening I can understand!) Thanks for the nice evening!
W.
Really awesome tourist attraction, fun rides with great views and the food at the restaurant was delicious.
I.
Was so fun really enjoyed it value for money. The downside is the helmets provided is smelly and used by many other people thats why gave a 4 star rating instead of 5. Bring your own helmets I recommend.
B.
Excellent experience we went on the gondola and 5 luge night rides full Adrenaline
Night rides are a must try best experience ever
Suitable for all ages and speeds
100% going again
G.
Great fun much better than Queenstown
J.
Best for a fun filled adventurous day.
R.
If you're in Rotorua during summer, you might want to drop by Skyline Rotorua in the evening. At 6pm, they start selling their night ride combos for just $39 including Gondola ride and 5 luge rides! Just for the fun of riding all the luge tracks makes this a great destination! Awesome value for money.
