N.Fantastic place to take the family for the day. Kids loved playing in the natural warm geothermal water & it was a bonus for us adults having the lil cafe down there to buy coffee. Toilets & change rooms were beautiful & clean. Well done Taupo, you've done well with this place. Highly recommend this place to visit.
W.Awesome little hidden gem! A bit of a walk from the carpark and we had a little trouble with the Google Maps finding the correct route, but it was worth the walk. The water was only warm in the day we went, but it didn't seem to phase the kids jumping in. Toilet facilities and a cafe on site. This is also a Toyota Kiwi Guardian site.
S.What a wonderful place to go. Just been for a swim in the hot pools, very nice and so relaxing. Can't wait to come in January and do it again.
K.As geothermal explorers me and my partner were really amazed by this free spa park. The temperature of water in early summer was perfect. The best thing is that you can cool in a really cold Waikato River afterwards.

J.Have loved coming here for many years. Today it's less of a secret gem and more of a crowded tourist attraction. But well worth a visit, it's been done up beautifully.
D.Was only in Taupo for a day, fantastic way to wind down for a while.
Only downside was that, as we went on a public holiday, the spa was absolutely packed.
Strongly recommend going here if you want to relax. The river was freezing but so fast, great fun to go out and just feel the power of nature before warming up in the spring.
V.Just few mins walk from the car park. Very unique experience and you can take nice pics as well.
S.Awesome place to relax in a hot stream. Family friendly place to spend the day out. Pack a picnic and take your togs. Don't follow Google map it showed the wrong direction. Leads you to a private property. When you get to Taupo dont turn anywhere just go straight to the first sets off lights and its on your left. There is a lot of parking spaces. Only 3min walk to the stream so anyone can get to the area easily. There is toilets and changing rooms available on site, also a nice little coffee and ice cream bar you can purchase from. Enjoy your time there.
K.Beautiful spot for a warm dip (42 degrees and 30 we recorded). It was a little crowded but it is free!

J.If you are looking to explore some of the best hot pools near Taupo, this is the place! and it is so close to Taupo town centre. We went with our friends, had an amazing time in the pool, the water was pretty warm and mostly clear, loved it.
They also have public toilets and changing place available. (incase someone like us was wondering where would we change before and after the pool😅)
F.Great spot! You can enjoy the natural thermal water that flows into the river. The stream is lovely hot water, and the scenery is beautiful. This is a popular spot all year round, especially in the summertime. Well worth checking out, definitely cant get better value for money... it's free
R.Enjoy a nice and relaxing thermal spa with absolutely no cost. Not too crowded in the morning. Toilets and place for changing clothes is available. Cafe near by is awesome you can grab snacks or refreshment after your bath. Don't miss it. Plenty of parking spaces.

S.Really nice spot especially for free thermal experience. Great views and not too busy in the morning. Water was perfect temperature, and the revamp is really nice. The pool bathing size probably needs to be larger, so would be ideal to dam up a bit more space to make it larger.

F.Awesome! First off- it’s free, which is great. There’s a drinking fountain, toilets and even a café at the springs.
There’s plenty of space to sit and bathe with varying water temperatures. This is great, not everyone likes it hot. We spent about an hour here.
Absolutely worth a visit to loosen those sore muscles.
L.Enjoy a good relaxing thermal experience with compliments by Mother Nature. Toilets and water cooler facility also available. Conveniently located, park your car nearby and walk down 7 mins to the thermal. Good view, good temperature and it’s free what more can you ask for. Bring a cold beer if you want :)

G.Great place to enjoy a thermal place for free. Drinking water and changing rooms with toilets available. It gets crowded on the weekend, but if you’re visiting during the week, you’ll have place to relax in the pool.
D.Natural geothermal stream with rock pools to sit in, and a nice coffee pod right there by the river. Don't put your head under the water. Danger of amoebic meningitis. (untreatable).
V.Free thermal spa pool in Taupo... nothing like a Japanese Onsen but lovely to just soak away fatigue and when the weather is chilly, to help with blood circulation. Better than AC Baths, which costs $8 (adult) to enter.
Just be careful of the moss which can be slippery but otherwise, a great place to just soak and enjoy the beauty of Mother Nature.
m.I really liked the Grandeur Thermal Resort Motel, awesome park like setting, very nice motel owner who couldn't do enough for you when asked. Highly recommend this lovely quiet place to stay.
C.Nice free natural hot pool at taupo, the hot water join with the cool river stream. If you are driving, search for spa park and park at spa park provided parking space, as Google mislead us to private property at the moment

C.Otumuheke Spa Park is amazing! A must visit! You can relax in the hot pools, or go to the part where the hot water meets the cold Waikato River and be half hot-half cold. There are changing rooms now and the area is well taken care of, thanks to the work of Patuiwi Maori Reserve Trust, Tūwharetoa Maori Trust Board, Department of Conservation, and local councils.
