Interesting books in the shop, rocks to touch, Maori and early settlers items, mounted animals and birds all tell the story of the inhabitants of the area. Tidy and well-lit, laid out in curves to draw the visitor onward. Plenty of visitors wandering through; children were enjoying a competition to find how many poppies were placed around the Museum

Everyone should go to see the Anne Frank display, she was an amazing girl who we should all know about.

Great place to bring children to learn about local and national heritage and history. Has many displays of flora, fauna and natural history. Small hunt quiz for children to interact with.

The exhibits are awesome and the people are very friendly. This is a must do to put on any itinerary when in Timaru.

Very Welcoming. And amazing displays of indepth information on many historical events in New Zealand. So much to see and do to catch up on New Zealand, its history, and unbelievable sounding beauty unlike any other. Well done to those who took the time to lend those who visit vital and interesting information to its visitors. Thanks so much!

Every hall has its element of surprise! And there are so many halls to experience different things! I love love love it! Best museums I've been to, even top my previous favourite: Seoul's museum! Continue to upkeep the whole thing because it was so much fun and resourceful to walk around in it.

It was great but v hard to get into as my husband uses a zimmer frame and Im on crutches thankgdness we hd our 11yr old gtgrandson with us to help us

Full of interesting local information and a very helpful person on the desk to add to the many stories of the area.

Nice place for a browse around with some history we need to go back for a second look as did not get onto the second floor.

It's not big but it's very interesting and nice place glad they have it , good for promotion NZ tourism , and history of the town

What a awesome little County Museum. Full of all sorts of interesting objects for the local area. As well as some objects of national significance it is a awesome outing

Really wonderfully organized school holiday program. Gave children things to look for. Really worth going in.

So interactive and always something for the kids young and old to do. For work i come here often. Im not from this area but i now live here and have learnt a lot about the area

Lovely little museum. We especially enjoyed the traditional Maori costumes and having the chance to try them on.
