Road was closed so had a steep walk up the gravel road to the car park, at top! Worth the walk as the view was amazing & coming down we saw rosellas. The buildings are interesting & amazing how they have stood the weather & years..

Absolutely loved our visit to this historical site. A variety of history boards in the schoolhouse telling the stories of the area and Johnny Jones. Amazed that they still exist seem they are located so close to the sea and in such an exposed spot. All buildings open to wander through. The stables are amazing. Worth the detour.

Road was closed, so have to walk up gravel hill. Cool historical location

Stunning spot. Worth a look and there is good information available.

Such interesting and intact early settlement buildings. Only a short easy walk from the car park. Magnificent view.

I short walk through private land. The track has a lot of thistle growing along the way so make sure you have good shoes.
The view of the coast is amazing

Interesting history with a great outlook but very windy on the day we visited. Access track is poorly maintained and to be avoided if you're unsteady on your feet.

Amazing buildings, lucky to be able to go through a private farm to view would have loved some information about age of buildings
J.
What a surprise to see these old buildings here.

Still recommend to wear sturdy shoes and socks due to thistles, well maintained buildings, stables squeaky clean, bit sterile perhaps

A rustic and romantic sight set on a cliff high above the Pacific Ocean, thought to be New Zealand’s oldest surviving farm.
W.
Interest collection of historical buildings with the accompanying history of their original owner.
