Reviews of Tamakae Te Rangatira o Waiuku

Nice place to have a short walk. Not far from the town shops and had paths into the bush or to walk along the water (low tide at the moment so can only see mud banks and minimal water). Little historic buildings close by also.

The reserve and landing has recently had a massive face-lift and looks really great. Access has been improved in recent years with the round-abouts on the road making pedestrian access safer and easier. There is also a parking area beside the reserve.

Welcoming and friendly
With fabulous history and a great place for catching up with whanau.
Many places to go to from Waiuku spin your compass and enjoy your trip. Don't forget to grab your nibbles or get a yummy family feed from one of the many family own businesses in Waiuku

A historic site situated at the northern end of Queen Street and Waiuku township on the west bank of Waiuku River beginning. The park is adorned with a little pergola and gift shop. There is a pleasant walking track following Waiuku river to Sandspit.
