Lovely little walk to the waterfall, if you’re after a little break from driving, perfect walk for the whole family as it’s only 15 minutes through lush forest with birds chirping and not really a lot of noise coming from the road.

15 minutes from carpark to reach the waterfall lookout. Along the way we can hear bird's chirping.... really nice

Has a big parking area, also has tables to rest at. The walk to Pohuehue waterfall is only 15mins but goes up and down throughout the walk with steps in areas. Once you get there, there is a viewing platform at the top of the waterfall. There is a side track thats been marked with blue tape or something that takes you to bottom of the waterfall but it's been washed out and is very slippery IG📷_leon_04

We went on this walk as it was advertised by the Kiwi Guardians as a great wall to have with the kids and get out into nature. We did have a great time following along with the map provided as part of the Kiwi Guardian adventure, but without it I was disappointed by the waterfall. I was asked by some tourists on the way out if you could swim under the waterfall which definitely not possible.

The walk itself is spectacular to say the least just wish the council would make an effort to put some rubbish bins and ensure they are used dirty nappies etc at entrance is disjusting and a health hazard if you ask me.

Nice easy track to top of falls through native bush. Small stands of nikau and ponga. Lookout is above falls but no set track to bottom. Although if feeling adventurous, where there's a will there's a way.

A beautiful walk if you need stretch you legs on the drive North or back again. Not too hard, with beautiful bush all around.

Nothing great it's only little stream. If you have time on the way to up north then take a break at the water falls. To view falls 15min normal walk and 15 min return.

That's a disappointing waterfall. View from above so you could not appreciate the actual fall. Great to get out for a short while

The falls are not "spectacular " but the walking track is pretty special. Wear decent footwear. Can get quite rugged in one part of the loop walk.

Track to waterfall easy and well maintained. A pleasant family bush walk. Would be 5 stars but no amenities or rubbish bins appear to have marred the environment.

This is a short walk to the falls and there are other tracks as well. You are meant to stay on track and not deviate where there aren't any tracks. This is for the protection of the kauri trees. There aren't any tracks to the falls, which means you can't find a way down to get a better view. You are to remain on the platform.

Very nice waterfall in a secluded and quite off beaten track. A very short walk, 15min, from the main road. Lovely waterfall. Area was clean. No toilet facilities. Plenty of parking on main road and benches to have a small picnic or pit stop from driving.

I wouldn't describe the Pohuehue Falls as the most spectacular in the greater area but it is hard not to admire the beauty of a water fall, even a small one. The Pohuehue Falls car park is between Puhoi and Warkworth, and if you are heading North (or South I guess) and need a break then perhaps this might be a good place to pull over. Their is plenty of parking in the car park. The walk is described as an easy 15 minute 600 meters. I think most people would do the walk in 10 minutes. The walk is suitable for children. I don't believe dogs are allowed on this track. There are no public amenities like a toilet - just the car park. You sometimes get people operating road side stands from this car park.

Lovely short walk to small waterfall. Very peaceful and shaded walk. Longer walks are under repairs so only the waterfall walk is accessible. There and back took 20 mins

Beautiful walk and a perfect spot to stop off, when my partner and i have been the lookout for the waterfall has been closed aswell as some of the track but still a lovely example of the true beauty of new zealand

Dont believe the DOC time of 4 hrs for the circuit. An average fit walker will do this in 1 and a half hours. Nice walk.

Lovely bush walk - cute waterfall even in a dry summer. Be great to see in midwinter. Worth the stop and leg stretch in your journey north or south 🙂

Nice walk, not the most exciting and not a particularly impressive waterfall but a spare afternoon well spent f you just want to go for a walk in the woods somewhere new.

Nice bush walk, as is any you do in Northland/New Zealand, but the 'falls' themselves are disappointing as a destination. Have not yet tried the longer walk. Great wee jaunt to burn of all the Puhoi goodies though!

A nice place in the middle of the NZ forest. Small yet beautiful waterfall, nice to stop along SH-1 and have a 20-30 min walk through the forest.

Sad to see the Beverley Price Loop is closed, but we had a beautiful walk nonetheless to the waterfall. Tui, korimako & piwakawaka abound. Joyous
