Reviews of Mrs. Chippy Monument
T.Situated in New Zealand’s second largest burial ground near the Standen Street exit, this life-sized feline bronze statue is a tribute to Mrs Chippy, the tiger-striped tabby who sailed on board the Endurance with Earnest Shackleton on his Imperial Trans-Antartic Expedition in 1914. The sculpture sits at the feet of his owners grave, Harry ‘Chippy’ McNish, who was the ship’s carpenter.
A special, peaceful place where one can pay tribute, and enjoy the native birdsong in the surrounding bush.

A.I somehow expected it to be bigger, being called a monument and all that.
Plus it was hard to find, the Google maps marker is roughly 30m off.
