Reviews of Natural Fizzy Spring
A.
By far the best hidden gem of the North Island! I’d never seen a natural fizzy spring before and when my boyfriend promised me this amazing experience I had my doubts but my expectations were exceeded. The viewing area, strange natural orange environment, fervently bubbling water, roadside location, parking availability, lack of a signpost (so it stays a hidden gem) and a rubbish bin to hold all the waste from the food and drink you’ll consume while you’re there - what more could you want?! I don’t know why this isn’t listed in the Lonely Planet...

There is so much history here you wonder when you visit, the purpose of it!
Just a quick pull over on the side of the road you’ll be amazed at this little pool.
Why is it fizzy, how is it natural, where does it come from?
There should definitely be a museum for this!
B.
This awe inspiring attraction is not one to be missed, the 8th natural wonder of the world complete with a 50 litre made in Waipu council rubbish bin
p.
At last I've gone to see this "local attraction"! It's better than I expected. You can see from the photos it is next to a busy highway and is not signposted.
d.
Quick stop to check out a random thing if you're passing through. Not sign posted so just follow Google Maps, slow down or you'll miss it.

Wicked little treasure! Lived in Kamo for 12 years and never visited this Fizzyness 😅 kids were in awe and nice bike ride in a area I wouldn't usually venture to 🚲😊
E.
Best thing I have seen so far in new Zealand!
Forget Hobbiton, Queenstown, Auckland, glowworm caves or other boring stuff!
Come early during the day to avoid masses of tourists.
i.
Should be included as one of the 7 wonders of the world. Expect long queues at the viewing platform. Book early to avoid disappointment......
L.
Spring is inside of small block box on the southern end of the bridge. Prepare to be amazed....
W.
Definitely not what I was expecting to find right next to the main highway. Worth stopping in and seeing if your passing by anyways
N.
Resplendent in its opulence, this historic outpouring promises an unparalleled experience beyond any mere water source. There is also a council bin.
z.
Very amazing natural spring.
Only small but very interesting, located in small spot on the main highway.
i.
Its just by the side of the main road n can be mistakenly thought as drain water... no signboard. Its only a natural water oozing out from the earth.
N.
A curious bubbling Spring, once off which Springs Flat gained its name by.
K.
It's amazing where a fizzy spring can pop up.
S.
The "Jewel of Whangarei" as the locals know it. Is it warm? Yes.
A.
