I have been shopping here randomly since 2016. It’s such an awesome experience with the best in audio. Nearly everything and anything you need, and even things you didn’t know you needed. Like head phone amps!!! ??? I particularly love the headphone section. There is everything from bargain to the best of the best. And I love their headphone stations so you can try before you buy. However best of all is the staff knowledge. Never pushy and just want to help find the best that you can afford. And always ready to give you a deal. Ask to see the projector rooms, where you can experience what watching a movie is really supposed to be like. Earth and body moving!!! Keep up the great work AV World and thank you for being patient with me and my ignorance about audio. Your range and knowledge puts others to shame.

I purchased Naim Audio Muso QB 2nd generation from this retailer. Received with 3 days of my purchase. I am thrilled with the buy, the muso qb 2 is one of a kind and league of their own when it come to sound quality. Would highly recommended buy from them low price and good product. Despite, I checked Muso series Naim they manufactured in China. But the build quality is still there!!! Impressed:)

Heard the AV World radio ad on Newstalk ZB talking about deals on Headphones - drove straight to AV World and asked for the best wireless headphones with noise cancellation and ability to sync to my mobile. The AV World team recommended the Sony WF 1000XM4 - and now I'm back at work with the best headphones I've ever owned. These headphones cancel out all of the noise in our open plan offices and the phone call quality is next level in quality. If you want the best AV solutions at the best price - you can trust the team at AV World for the best recommendations.

My partner and I visited the store and talked to the sales guy ( I wish I payed attention to his name)he asked a bunch of questions and based on my answers recommend kef350s we probably spent an hour listening to a vast array of speakers after all these choice's we found his recommendation was exactly what we wanted. experience and service is excellent. This is the real deal. I have worked in customer service for a very long time and am a regular customer of stores like Noels, PB, Harvey etc., (including other Home Theater stores) all over Auckland. They are no comparison to the level of service provided by the exceptionally friendly, professional and proficient staff here at AV World. You WILL be well looked after by Paul and the team regardless of whether you have already bought something from them or not. They truly go all the way to ensure that you walk out with something that works specifically for you and your situation, and if you have any issues/difficulties, they will go to great lengths to help you with it either over the phone or in person. If you are in the market for any sort of home theater/audio-video equipment, this is THE place to go. Definitely one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had – thanks to Paul & The Team at AV World!

A note of thanks to Chris Bishop and the rest of the crew who were in store on Saturday. I turned up un announced wanting to audition a particular subwoofer and was accommodated really well by Chris and the friendly team. Thank you for the awesome customer service guys. Chris talked me through the pros and cons of the sub I was looking at and we ended up going with a different brand on Chris's recommendation (and my listening to the difference it made). I'm stoked with the new sub and look forward to having the rear speakers installed soon. Superb service. I'll be back!

Very good range of Hi FI audio equipment. The staff allowed me to test the headphone I bought before buying it. I was a bit suprised they do not offer any part payment options (Afterpay or Humm) considering the pricing of the kind of products they deal with. No other issues other than that. They have a lot of floor models you can test out before buying which is excellent.

Deciding I needed to start playing vinyl records again I had to first get a turntable and speakers so I went to AV World in Dominion Rd. There was that much gear here I was over my head with choice and confused as to what I should buy. Thanks to the staff I explained what I wanted and was shown what was available to suit my requirements and pocket. I left there and went home to put the turntable together. I had been advised to use you tube to help me do this and again their staff were right and it was easy. I am now sitting listen to pure vinyl music from a great turntable and great speakers. Thank you AV World staff when I need more equipment I will definitely be back.

It is not about making big sales here, they seem to be focused on making sure you are set up with the right equipment even suggesting cheaper alternatives and offering a free amp upgrade to get us set up quicker. Walking into the front door they greeted me well and jumped to helping me with my request. Even though they didn't have stock of the length of cable I was after they were eager to cut one for me and did so before I could ask, even though I may have preferred to be asked before they did it.

I've been buying audio equipment from AV World for many years and have always appreciated their advice. Today their service exceeded all expectations. I recently purchased a new amp, amongst other items, which wasn't in stock but they ordered one in for me and I was due to collect today. I had a call from them saying their supplier was out of stock. Before i had the chance to be disappointed they offered to deliver their shop amp at no charge to use until my brand new one arrived from the supplier. Thanks Will.

Finally someone has an answer to COVID ... quick delivery. Just ordered something on-line and it arrived in a few hours! Love these guys! Also, always happy to demo things. Had a great session in their listening room a while ago that helped me decide on some options.

Having been in the shop previously to demo speakers (I ended up going with a different brand from another store), and being impressed with the friendly service, I popped into AV World hoping they could solve an issue with hum through my amp. Rather than sell me the $100 pack I was looking to purchase, Paul called up the local distributor of my amp to ask advice instead. He wanted to be sure the issue would be solved and wasn't 100% confident my purchase would do the trick. The distributor ended up sending me a makeshift cord that solved the issue. Paul didn't charge me a cent for his help. Wonderful service from people who are genuinely passionate about audio. Will definitely be back for my further hifi needs.

I walked into the store expecting it to be doomy and gloomy but was surprised by the range of products and the quality that they offer. I have been to other HiFi stores in Auckland and New Zealand as well as overseas and AVWorld doesn't disappoint in their wide offering of expertise and products. The staff are all super friendly and they all have their own expertise, which can be really helpful when you're looking for certain products. I love what Paul has going on and I can't wait to go back and see what else is new.

I bought an AV receiver online and it arrived within a couple of days. Unfortunately I somehow created a wiring fault when I hooked it up and it blew a channel. I made a panicked call in to Paul the owner who contacted CDL the distributor. Within a week it was collected, serviced and back, good as new. These guys know their stuff and it pays to do a little research before you buy, and know what you're walking into; Harvey Norman they aren't! I'd have absolute confidence when buying with them again.

Nice shop. Was disappointed with staff reaction when I asked for a lower price having found out the low advertised price was only for a floor model even though this was not advertised on the web listing prior to visiting. People are entitled to ask the question without being talked to like they've committed a crime. On a positive it ended the visit quickly and I purchased the same product elsewhere for $500 cheaper (without haggling).

Staff are very friendly and helpful and won't hesitate to let you try out anything in the store, and for sure they have a HUGE range all set up to try. I took a look around and bought a pair of KEF LS50 wireless monitor speakers which im super happy with. Seems like I love them even more each time I listen to them, just hearing more and more detail in my music! If you want to take your audio to new heights this is the place to go.

Have got some really good deals over the last few years from these guys. Atmos receiver, 5 home theater speakers plus a pair of towers. And more recently a 4k projector for a bargin price. Friendly and helpful staff who know their stuff and are honest about what they think is right for you and your budget.

Service was okay.. I had some courier issues that took the Courier a week to deliver from their local branch that was around 5-10 minutes from my house. I eventually manage to sort it out after many calls to posthaste but AVWorld weren't really helpful on their end...

Paul is a nice guy. This is an independent store specializing in HiFi gear. I purchased online through the store a pair of B&W 685s. Paul was then advised from B&W in Christchurch that they would not be sending the speakers to me as the 600 range is now exclusively sold through Harvey Norman. I do not buy my HiFi gear through Harvey Norman so Paul suggested a pair of Focal speakers for the same price. I did not take him up on the offer but the gesture was a good one. Integrity is important in today's business and Paul has it. B&W Christchurch on the other hand I will leave up to you.
