H.Aw this place was awsome took my Dads Saxophone in for service and the guys couldn't believe their eyes when they saw it was a Henrii Selmar. Cool thing was the more senior of the 2 in the shop said wooow..then I worked in mr Selmar,s factory in France making exactly these he was just blown away said was the best piece in their shop going back when he gets back from holiday beginning of may
B.Dr Toot is one of the best music stores in Auckland. They have good affordable prices and have a wonderful customer focused service. I trust them to service and maintain all of my musical instruments.
D.I recently had my Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone serviced by Taka at Dr Toot. The work he did on it is fantastic. Obviously he's got it playing effortlessly from top to bottom but beyond that all the keys now have a perfect even response and there is absolutely no wriggle or movement in the mechanism. I would highly recommend Taka for work on your vintage instrument. He respects and understands the vintage instruments integrity while putting it in perfect playing condition. He serviced it two years ago and did a fantastic job but this time it's gone to another level!

i.I sent my saxophone here for shipping, and received many informative emails on what exact sort of repair work I got done, I was even able to buy accessories, and have them shipped back in the case, (they even gave me some freebies!) Overall great communication, and repair work, my alto plays like new. Would recommend to anyone looking for repair work to be done to their wind or brass instrument, from beginners to professionals (P.S. Gold Service is definitely worth the money)

W.I have just purchased a BAC Apprentice Series Bb/F dual bore trombone new, through Shaun (Dr Toot). Having played a series of different trombones over many years I wanted a trombone that encompassed both a dark sound as well as bright and joyous sound.
The BAC delivers right across the range of 3 plus octaves. The slide action is like glass and the trigger has a quiet smooth positive action.

S.Sent my clarinet for service last year. The best part of it is that Sean and colleagues are all musicians themselves and understand fully what our needs are (unlike many sales people in other music shops). They do not sell you stuff you don't need; their recommendations and advice are very sensible. And my clarinet was very well-serviced too :)

R.They have done great job on refurbishing my old Jean Martin clarinet. Plays well now I'm confident the squeaks are my fault. Only caveat is it's not cheap
