Storefront: well laid out like all Rockshops are. Staff & service: very knowledgeable staff who are friendly and helpful Pricing: Great pricing Location: Easy to find and plenty of parking nearby Stock: lots of awesome products My experience: stellar experience. These guys are very good at their jobs and treat you with respect. Get to know them and they'll always be open for a good chat. Recommend: the best option for musical supplies for the top of the south. Best for: everyone

Service was amazing - the guy that served as was extremely knowledgeable and very patient with my 3 kids asking 800 questions - I don't live in Nelson but because of the experience there this is where I bought the instrument I have been looking for! But to be fair you get about the same level of service from most of the Rockshops.

Our 10 year old has just discovered music and has joined a band. We popped into Nelson Rockshop to look at guitars and the staff couldn't have been more fantastic. Not only was he allowed to look, but the plugged him in and hooked him up with bass, electric and even Slash's Gibson guitar. Our boy will remember it forever and o guarantee we will purchase from here when his birthday comes around. Thanks guys you made our day.

Purchased an electric drumkit for my son who has started to learn. Customer service was excellent. Always happy to help, with lots of product knowledge and patience. As electric drums were completely new to me and I wanted to purchase the right set, I made many visits and did lots of research. Wide range of instruments and knowledgeable staff who are genuine enthusiasts. I kept on going back about three times a week while I was trying to make up my mind about a particular guitar. The staff never tried the hard sell they just left me to try it out (again!) and added their own knowledge and experience to help me make the right decision. The result is that I now have a guitar which is perfect for me. Also, I did some research and the price I paid was the same I would pay overseas, which is a refreshing change. Before this purchase I was in and out of the shop looking for parts to renovate an old guitar. Again, very helpful. They took an interest in what I was doing and had very useful tips.
