M.Bought a ukulele there today. The shop had it transferred for us from Auckland at no cost. There was a small issue with the instrument and the salesman was super pro-active in making sure we got a different. better one. Great service.
Also a wonderful selection of instruments, especially guitars and ukuleles.
K.Bought a new fender guitar here. Rusty strings, dirty frets, played quite a bit. They did replace strings and tidy up but should have never left the shop like that.
B.Great place for what it is but the pricing there is higher than online so not sure how long this shop will last with that. Hopefully it sticks around though, an iconic piece of Tauranga...

B.Tauranga Rockshop has had good service and knowledgeable staff for many years now. I appreciate being able to have a chat and seek information and other points of view when looking at and purchasing new gear. When not having any particular item in stick they're always happy to order it in. It would be nice to have more selection of products and accessories however I understand there needs to be the demand for this. Perhaps with Tauranga Musicworks closing down there'll be the demand to lease a larger shop. Anyway, I'm just rambling now to gain more Google rewards points. Great day today. Now I'm off to test out the new patch cables and strings I got. All products in this photo are Rockshop items.

I've been on the hunt for my dream guitar and they've never pressured me, have always taken the time to talk me through all the different features and options of the various guitars, and never made me feel like the pain the arse I know I must have been. Highly recommend. I'm over the moon with the guitar I ended up with.

P.Nice tidy but quite small rooms... slightly ordinary. Lifts.... 2 small lifts for 22 floors? This is Christchurch... where they have earthquakes, dumb move. We feel nervous enough at 13th floor, waiting for the lifts is interminable.

W.I went in wanting to buy an Electro-acoustic guitar, with little to no knowledge. One of the staff members was informing me on good and bad brands, and what each brand is best for, and giving me a lot more idea on what guitar would be best for me without trying to get me to pay more or buy one straight away. It's really nice to see people so passionate about helping people out and making great choices on new equiptment. Will definately be buying from here again. Would rate higher if I could. N.This is the first music shop I have been to in this town and I am still adjusting to the prices here but the staff were knowledgeable and easy to talk to, the only thing is the wait to speak with them, I went there on a Saturday and waited about 20 minutes to be able to talk with the team there to buy a guitar .

R.3 issues in a space of 2 months with my Pioneer cdj 900 nexus units. 1 units been flawless but I'm onto unit number 3 for the problem cdj. I hope this is all the issues im to have. Fingers crossed. However as much as this was immensely frustrating and a manufacturing issue with Pioneer, all of the Rockshop Tauranga team have been very helpful, open and understanding. I would shop here again. Absolutely.
