R.Took in a nice 1960s era teisco ss3L for a clean, restore and a bit of custom work, it went in well used semi broke and neglected and came out clean and with the beautiful patina nice and shiny, the chrome brought back to shine again, they managed to source genuine era correct parts, sorted some electrics so I can plug in and play and made a nice clean hand made bridge, very well impressed with the dedication to restoring a prized family guitar and found the cost very reasonable indeed, my son played it and the sound was beautiful, thankyou guys

B.I purchased my first cymbals from these guys 32-years ago. A little latter, the store was taken over by the current team. Wards is more than a bunch of sales people trying to sell you gear. They are a group of people who are part of the fabric of the Whangarei music scene. When you deal with these guys, it's not just a transaction. They truly care that you are getting what you need and will go out of their way to make sure that happens. It might even be that they send you away with a brilliant piece of advice, free of charge. The team at Wards has earned the respect of many a musician in Northland and they continue in the tradition of a community store that puts back into the community. To say that I am pleased with the service I get from Wards is a massive understatement.

D.With an engineering background and decades of playing electric guitar. I was on the hunt for a decent sounding amplifier that would keep up with a heavy hitting drummer. I had done plenty of research and was keen to hear how a few played.
New in town, I had just been totally ignored at the first music shop I visited. They didn't have anything that interested me anyway. (I have spent thousands in their other branches which are largely ok) Perhaps I needed to dress better? A little bit of Google and 50 footsteps later, i'm in Wards MusicWorks.
The two staff i met were really down to earth. Nice shop. Had a really good vibe. No pressure. No sales pitch. Just a really engaging discussion about the things I wanted to talk about. Valve's, power, cabinet construction, EVH, Celestion's, tone, cutting through the mix. They happily let me plug my own axe into a few and noises were made. They offered to get some other models I was interested in for demo, but after a few, the hair's on the back of my neck had already made a decision - one im absolutely loving. After the sale they are still super friendly - telling funny yet relevant stories - helping me load the gear into the ute.. Driving off into the sunset - Grin from ear to ear - stoked to a tear.
Definitely going back there!
M.Called in there with a friend who was having minor repairs done on their guitar. They did it there on the spot. Didn't even take that long. Very obliging friendly staff, with a great deal of foot traffic. If you need anything at all that is involved with music, that shop is definitely the place to go.

Great place to be in the music SHOP. I recommend that if any of you people out there is interested to visit this STORE. Right in Whangarei Northland New Zealand township opposite the police station...I chose 5stars and more for customer service base and prompt humility...😗😉😚🐒🐷
