We had an amazing dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious real Authentic flavours and everything was so fresh. The staff were super friendly and my special thanks to KD for being so welcoming and responsive making our night even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was too lively there! I would highly recommend this place for Sheesha! Bang ON 😃

Place; quiet, like cul de sac, neat. The food, magnificent; lots if beautiful flavours, presentation perfect, and yes, the servings; truly generous. The service and team awesome! Highly recommend the place!

Great place for dinner as food was quite good! We had a voucher which made the prices more acceptable! Great place for sisha outdoors or eating inside, was a little cold while visiting and know that Friday and weekends are quite popping

Went here last night and the food was good! We ordered the lamb rack (lamb was a bit small - but I think lamb racks are always small right?), seafood chowder (tasted a bit fishy - I’m thinking the seafood wasn’t fresh?), chicken quesadillas (soooo gooood), cheese and jalapeño poppers (also soooo good!) - all in all, the food was very nice! I also ordered a pina colada - a bit pricey ($20.50) and we got a beer and a coke after that too I enjoyed this place - nice to go out casually for a bite and maybe something to drink

The waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was good. The restaurant was not clean though. There was food on the chairs and tables. The toilets were very potent and clearly haven't been cleaned. It's an easy fix and I'm sure with a thorough clean regularly the reviews will go up.

We enjoyed our drinks and food.

Got Shisha here, which felt very light compared to other places, it also took over 30 minutes to get served by which point we started asking random people who worked here and hoped one of them could serve us. Music was also annoying as its competing with the places nearby so all you hear is loud sounds that cancel each other out.

Love this place always..never lets you down , love their sheesha, probably the only place in town where I would go for sheesha when compared to other places , this place is very good at night , with fully crowded , nice music to have some good drinks , sheesha n love their food too, their potato wedges / crispy fried chicken n their cocktails are one of my favorites, my friends loved their pizzas too, staff is too good, very friendly , we had a great party last night with 7 of our frns , thanks for the on the bar shots given to us..really love their hospitality ..finally a best place to hangout n chill with frns for the people who love sheesha the most

We got a grabone voucher for a 3 course meal. They have a special set menu for grabone customer's which all looked good. I have not been to this part of Auckland for years, nice area, location and restaurant. The food was good however they need to improve on there service. Only small things but i felt there were too many small things. I'll still come back again

Oyma served with a smile and grace as she placed this beautifully presented lamb shank and VSOP brandy in front of me for a lunch-time indulgence I rarely treat myself to. This did not disappoint as a rare treat worth having. Oyma served me with such pride and joviality that it magnified the culinary experience from a level of pleasant enjoyment to a heightened platform of delight which bordered on the near-impossible when it came to being found beside mother's homemade cooking. Having excellent food cooked with skill and presented with love made this experience one I shall not soon forget! Thank you to Oyma and the chef who whipped up such a treat for gracing me with a home-away-from-home nostalgia today. Thank you. Kind regards, Fredrick

Not very impressed with the food or setting, most of the lights were out we were sitting, there was a lack of service, where our drink order was forgotten. The food was ok, pumpkin ravioli was creamy and filling.

Great meals and cocktails... Drinks were a bit expensive though.

Exceptional service and the food was amazing. We were a large group of around 24 people and it always pays to order in advance with such large groups. Atmosphere was fantastic and such great value for money. Highly recommended and a must try at least once. I know I will be returning again

The food was great seafood chowder onpoint,steak was perfect but the porkbelly was way too fatty. Service was a tad slow clearing the tables. But the staff were tealky nice. 4.5 stars overall.

Nice place to hangout at night, friendly staff, good snack menu, fun vibes around.

Good location and also yummy cocktails. Couldn't order any of the frozen cocktails due to some issue with equipment. We came here for a dinner date but I wouldn't recommend ordering the steak with mushroom sauce on a first date as every item on the plate was accompanied by garlic. Don't get me wrong, I love garlic, but it was admittedly a bit much. Other than the overwhelming garlic, everything was cooked nicely and tasted good. Service was just OK, they forgot one of the things we ordered so we had to follow up. They also didn't come and ask if we wanted dessert after clearing our mains even though we were sat there for quite a while so we just paid and went somewhere else for a sweet treat. Seems to be mainly a shisha/hookah bar rather than a "bistro".

1.0 Great service really welcoming from start to finish. 2.0 Food was presented well, nicely cooked and full of flavour. Good portion sizes. 3.0 Drinks - wine by the glass merlot & Pinot Gris really nice. 4.0 Pleasant & enjoyable atmosphere - quiet night being Tuesday 5.0 the only reason 4 stars not 5 is the overall presentation of the decor - windows are filthy & need to be cleaned. Bathroom was tidy but shelf above men's toilet at eye level is covered in dust. 6.0 This was the only disappointing thing - the food is worth going back again & again.

Mates and I came over today. Decent service but unfortunately every single meal was just below average. Ordered the wagyu beef burger and kid you not I honestly doubt it was wagyu. The beef was crumbly and overcooked like burnt. The chicken was dry and butter chicken pizza was way too greasy. Only giving these guys a 3 cause the staff were acrually nice.

Dropped on for lunch yesterday with a group of friends. Quiet efficient service and really nice food. The salt & pepper squid entree was cooked perfectly, the lamb tagine one of the best I've ever had and they nailed the creme brulee. I will be back.

Avoid using vouchers or deals you buy online. They use different menu for this and from my own experience, it was not good. Avg. food heated in microwaved. Three stars for the waitress as a guidance because I felt she was lost on what I ordered. I’ve seen better places cheaper.

It's good place for outing with friends and Hookah place. Food is good but service is bit slow. We always enjoy Paan flavor must try ! Also their garlic pizza is really worth to try with your cocktails. Management is friendly and give good suggestions for a food.

A hang out place rather than proper dine in.... a busy atmosphere .. a place where you can go out with friends have shisha/hookah some snacking items with some drinks.... Not ideal for quiet conversations or fine dine in

Been a regular here for years now and the place just keep getting better. Beautiful, and very romantic in the evening with great food, drinks and shisha under the most alluring lights. During the day the place is great for breaks between classes from uni. The staff are very friendly and gregarious. They treat guests more like friends than customers.

We went here on a Grab One deal. The choices were very limited and the food pretty average. Service was friendly and efficient. Wouldn't come here again

Slow service, taking over 10 mins to get a glass of wine, despite the place being nearly empty. When my food arrived it was cold. Beef cheeks were good, but quite a bit of fat on the meat. The food itself was nice, but they need to pick up their game with customer service and speed.

I love the ambience of this place, its a good place to hang around. The food and portion exceeded my expectations! They do lunch/dinner specials for $20, which I think is a good chance to try out some of the menus. They seem to recently reconstruct the place, the bathroom wasnt very pleasant before, now it looks very new and modern. Wouldn’t hurt to try this place out :)

Good to see chancery back in awesome style!!! Had dinner last week with my mates. Enjoyed drinks and food was great, specially thanks to the Manager KD who been really friendly and helpful to get table without reservation on busy night. Portions are really big. Food and service is okay. Some of our food you could tell was bought pre made. Nice enough place 👌

Good atmosphere, and nice location. Food was hit and miss... unimpressed with the salt and pepper squid which was bland and slightly overcooked, so a little rubbery. The scallops, braised lamb, and cremé brulee were good. The service initially was good, but it was like we got forgotten about once we'd placed our order. It is under new management, so things may improve over time

Chicken manchurian way too vingery..an ok atmosphere.as iam a non smoker. Fish an chips was fine too, nothing that blows your mind.

We had a group of 24 for lunch and food was amazing with generous portions. We pre ordered beforehand. Great service. A great time was had by all.

Best shisha place in town. Me and my friends always come here for our shisha, drinks and food. Their new menu got lots more vareity. Customer service is always great and efficient in busy times. Place always have great ambience. I always recommend my friends to come to this place.

The place has changed a lot in the last weeks! I'm eating here regularly and they try to improve from time to time. And the food is absolutely amazing, my favourites are the Chicken Burger as well as the Thai Green Curry!

Went here on a grabone. Food was average, nothing spectacular. Lamb was nice enough but no huge flavors or seasonings. Service was sub par. Took about 20 minutes to bring out first drinks, and when we ordered the second drinks round, they completely forgot about it. Staff were friendly. Decor was great.

After reading some of the other reviews was a bit dubious about what we were going to, however we were pleasantly surprised. Food was fine, portions were a little small but did not mind that. Only criticism was that if you are going to have glasses on the table, then offer some water. I would suggest to anyone that you least give this place a try and make up your mind.

Groupon deal is great quality. Very well proportioned 3-courses, for an amazing price. Really enjoyed the service and the ambience. The quality of the steak wasn't top notch but it was definitely up there. Creme brulee was delicious.

The food was alright. I we went there with a bunch of friends. Customer service wasnt great though forgot one of the dishes that is acceptable as it was crowded and anyone can make mistake but what was wrong that no one apologised.

Chancery bistro is an amazing place to visit with family or friends. Whether its a birthday dinner or casual family dinner this place aways meets the expectations.. staffs are absolutely amazing and friendly.. Customer service by rocky was incredible always checking up with staffs and customers making them feel welcomed Highly recommended for a good vibe 🙂🙂

Awesome Shisha ! They have introduced a new range of flavors and reduced the waiting time marginally. Ask for Bang Bang sbisha flavour from Rivu. Smooth, with legit kick. My GO-TO place to hang out and chill around in CBD. Must visit for anyone looking for a quality time.

First let me say the service was great and the restaurant itself was beautiful with a nice atmosphere. Out of the excellent selection to choose from I ordered the lamb rack and it was amazing! truly a hidden gem, very good restaurant in Auckland

The quick Lunch Menu offers decent, fresh and affordable food. The Chancery Square area is also a welcome getaway from the hustle and bustle of Queen Street or Britomart during lunch time. Good, simple and unassuming food and service.

First of all...all credit to the amazing staff. I rung earlier in the day and made a booking with Paul and said I was bringing some important people through and was wanting a nice table, good food and service, as always dubious about using Grab One vouchers as I have read some places treat you differently and the meal portions are small etc...Well Paul did not disappoint me from the cocktails, drinks to the entree (squid was divine) main (Scotch Fillet Steak) and amazing Creme Brulee at the end absolutley every mouthful was amazing...So much so I have purchased another coupon to come back lol. You replaced the Lamb Shank with Scotch Fillet as you had run out...well thank god was the best piece of beef I have had in a very long time. Compliments to your amazing Chef. Once Again Thank you Chancery Bistro you guys ROCK!!!!
