At $185 for a double room inc breakfast was reasonable value. Bar not open though. Place was a bit basic, nothing flash, but I guess closest to city centre. I found the beds a little uncomfortable and the droning noise of air conditioning and utilities too loud to get a good nights sleep. $50 extra for a 5pm checkout was good value, but no ammenities like shower available like in some hotels.
D.
The front desk staff were lovely and easy to talk to.
As for the room wasn't super spacious but for a couple of people it's amazing I recommend staying with them. The bedding and towels were clean and tidy and it was a delight to stay with ibis hotel
P.
It's first class. Accommodation is excellent . Everything appears new and the food in the restaurant is very good.
J.
Very helpful and friendly staff...clean rooms and fab breakfast....thanks ibis
C.
Stayed during the school holidays, during our trip we became stuck in Greymouth and had to rebook our stay at the Ibis. They team were very friendly and helpful, managed to rebook our stay on multiple occasions after many bus cancellations and flight cancellations. The team were just greatness! The room on the first stay faced another building however had everything we needed. On the second stay we were on the other side, much better views of the main street. Our breakfast was included, easy and convenient and located on level 1. The ibis is located closed to the Riverside markets and other great restaurants. Managed to uber to and from the hotel with no issues.
A.
Best location to stay if you want to see the city. People are very nice and accommodating. Price is very reasonable for the quality of service they provide. Oh, and the room, a bit small but its good enough if you're not staying too long... personally i spent most of the time on the business and walking around the CBD after hours. Located close to a lot of food options.
r.
Really friendly and helpful staff, clise to everything and very tidy.
J.
Great location, rooms small but adequate, bed comfortable.
A.
economy hotel, convenient location, frequently staff, good buffet breakfast
S.
For the price was really good. Breakfast very fresh (especially pastries). Warm friendly staff. Room cleaners were excellent. Location is fantastic.
D.
Convenient setting close to the Riverside Market and restaurants. The rooms were clean and beds super comfy. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
M.
Good location. For some reason I was given a room with a disabled bathroom???(not disabled?) the towels were on a low rail touching the toilet seat and nowhere near the shower! Oddly unhygienic. So to allow room for disabled bathroom my room was therefore exceptionally smaller, but King bed was big, no warm duvet, just a sheet and continental blanket. Found it hard to warm up. Air con is too loud to have on. Great they have easy Wi-Fi. However, breakfast was a rip off, my friend paid 18 dollars for one weetbix and a bit of fruit as there were no pastries etc as advertised and the muffin was hard and stale. Also view was of a wall. Everything seemed clean and well organised though and service was Okay.
P.
Night friendly and helpful enough I guess and rooms very pockie.. breakfast menu was a massive let down.. simply continental could have been delivered and left outside doors instead of opening a so-called restaurant...space could have made rooms less clostipho pic
I.
Really enjoyed my stay. The room was very tidy and clean and so was the bathroom. The internet speed was great. The staff were great. Thankful for easy luggage storage. The king bed was massive and I had a great sleep, the blinds kept the room nice and dark for a wholesome sleep. Due to Covid restrictions the restaurant and room service were not available, but there is a convenience store downstairs and plenty of food places across the road. And awesome to see a separate recycling bin in the room . A+++

I'd day it's a nice enough place too stay at a very reasonable price. Very central to city pubs and eateries, within 300m walk. Rooms are modern so feels nice to be there. Nice hotel but not too fancy, if you know what I mean
Z.
Handy Location and reasonably priced. Underground parking which is handy cos you can walk to everything. Rooms clean and well presented.
Yes rooms are compact but how much room do you need?
Easy walk to the main entertainment district and not too far to walk home again if you have over indulged.
R.
Perfect location. Great staff. Prices are reasonable during weekends, but shoot up midweek due to corporates.
B.
Very great place for stay & it's in a city center
C.
Good value and nice clean and quiet rooms albeit a bit small but for the price it's good. Lots of homeless in the area but more of a cbd thing then the hotel.
G.
We stayed for two nights last Friday and Saturday. First time in the city for over 10 years. Great go see the re-build ticking along.
This hotel is very central, welcoming, helpful and, we found, very attractively priced. Recommended-it's worth fighting your way through the streetworks!
R.
Wow I honestly have to say this place was one of my favourite hotels in NZ. I loved the location, cleanliness and service. We arrived at 2am on a Monday and the bloke at the reception was a ledgend. Such good service and I can't get over how good the room was for the money. Will definitely come back!
J.
Modern and clean. Stayed in a fantastic room, great breakfast, great service, close to everything inner city
C.
Clean and comfort bed very central
P.
Clean, tidy, very comfortable and handy to amenities. Friendly staff with a quick check in. Highly recommended
J.
Comfortable, clean, quiet room. Mirror in bathroom doesn't fog up when you have a shower. I've stayed in bigger more expensive rooms that were not nearly as good.
A.
Good room. Efficient service. Good location except parking outside or near outside can be a nightmare! Also not really impressed with the lack of area anywhere out side the hotel for smokers. No ashtray or seating. I understand it is a bad habit, but smokers are equally important, paying guests too. Not great to go out the front and either brace the strong winds or the annoying, pestering locals.
N.
We were more than happy with all aspects of our stay. Staff were great, Room was clean & tidy just what was expected. Breakfast was enjoyed on 3 of the mornings we stayed. Nice & central we walked to our conference at another hotel 10 - 15 minutes away. The early check in at about 8 in the morning was much appreciated as the weather was wet & cold that day. Thank you all for a lovely relaxing stay.
K.
We stayed in Ibis for 3 nights. We loved it. The room was clean and comfy. The shower however is a bit small. We were on 7th floor so we didnt hear any ground noise. Our room was towards the wall where there is no construction going on in the street so it was a quiet room. The breakfast buffet is cheap esp if you tell them in advance you want breaky for next day so they only charge you $20 per person not $25. We recommend stayn back here again as the location is close to everythg and the staff is very nice.
P.
Warm, clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Location in the centre of town is a short easy walk to everything..
H.
I stayed for two nights here with my grandma after booking with a 30% discount due to a deal that was running. The staff were excellent, helping us check in at 3am after the late arrival of our flight, informing us about a current special running where we could have the buffet breakfast for $1 extra, and helping us with any questions we had.
We had the breakfast which was excellent value with both cooked and continental options, and we also ate dinner in the restaurant that night which was beautifully presented though could have been a bit more flavoursome.
We stayed in a double bed twin room which gave us both a lot of space to sleep. There was space in the room for our bags but the rooms are a bit compact. The bathroom was clean and well maintained and there were tea and coffee making facilities, an iron and board, wardrobe space, hangers and extra pillows and blankets available.
The location was right in the centre of town which made it easy to access the malls, tram, church and bus interchange. The only downsides was that the hallways and elevators were undergoing renovations and looked slightly untidy.
S.
It’s a nice budget room. I really liked the breakfast next morning. Tv has only paid options which was a slight let down, in comparison the Ibis Wellington has the local channels available. It is possible I just did not find the right options. Another thing I liked about the accomodation was digital display and control for temperature. Digital is always easier than the classic jog dial analog controls. The iron and iron board is always handy. Clean toilets and bathrooms. Overall it is a small yet cosy setup but that is to be expected for the price you pay. I lost my AirPods here and the hotel staff could not locate it for me. Had they managed to recover it, I would have been forever loyal to Ibis.
C.
It was a last minute decision to stay in Christchurch. Room was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Another bonus was it was walking distance to restaurants and bars.
C.
Didn't provide parking even though we asked for it and booked over a month ahead
Loved how blacked out the blinds were at 8am it was still pitched black so made for a great sleep in
S.
Great environment. Friendly staff & good prices.
S.
Comfortable reasonable price. Restaurant only open for breakfast which we never bothered with.
H.
Great location, facilities are not trendy but well maintained. Heat pump/air condition has individual control system and operates quiet. Hotel offers shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Breakfast buffet is Mercure/Grand Mercure quality I would say. Breakfast buffet service team provides warm welcoming service. All services were worth for the money I paid.
Tip. Take your own slippers (Most of NZ 3~4★ hotels do not provide slippers).
A.
Budget hotel experience. Synthetic beds/bedding made for an uncomfortable night. Shower best suited for people below 5'0 taller than that you'll need to squat. Breakfast ok. I wouldn't select this hotel again unless I was on a tight budget.
P.
The experience was good with a no frills and comfortable room at reasonable pricing.
Location centralised and convenient and the lady who is a trainee, handled both our check ins and check outs in a courteous, helpful and efficient manner.
We liked the option of $10 been donated to help kids just by asking our rooms not to be made.
Only gripe was the ventilator in the toilet does not seem to be working. Otherwise the stay was pleasant.
C.
Very happy with the room. Being an Ibis it is cheaper accommodation and for the money I think you actually get more than you pay for.
My 1:00am check-in went like clockwork. Staff were expecting me and I was greeted by name. He was super friendly and efficient as well.
The room is small but very clean and well maintained. Bed is a king and very comfortable. I’d definitely be staying here again on my next visit.
R.
Central city location .... handy to walk around cathedral square
G.
Excellent central location adjacent a variety of eateries. Room was quite small and needs a bit of a facelift. Overall we were satisfied with cleanliness and quiet comfortable nights sleep. Special mention for the reception area coffee vendor who had very reasonably priced breakfast items, providing a good alternative to the full buffet of the hotel restaurant.
J.
Great budget choice, well positioned right in the middle of town.
Beds were comfy, breakfast good and the staff friendly.
K.
The hotel is centrally located and was walking distance from everything I needed, including my work-related activities. The room was clean, comfortable and functional, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only issue was that the room overlooked the main road and if the window covering was open the window faced directly into the offices across the street. On the plus side, the windows were sound-proof so once the covering was shut at night, I wasn't fussed about it. I would definitely stay here again.
P.
If you are looking for a Christchurch city hotel that is very central, then don't overlook this one.
This one is a continuation of the Ibis theme of simple style while providing great value.
We could not fault the room in any way. The bed was very comfortable, everything in the room worked.
Hot Tip - if you book on line - make sure you go for the $4 breakfasts. Again - simple but very well executed.
P.
Excellent stay, staff were very easy to deal with - especially after my flight was delayed 36 hours and I had to move my booking forward a day.
The room was spotless and modern. Breakfast was great, my teenage daughter couldn't believe her luck - all the hash browns she could eat every morning.
This is our second stay here and I will definitely come back again one day.
A.
No-frills hotel, great for a quick 1-2 night stay. Centrally located near attractions, malls, and restaurants. Appreciate the complimentary snacks and drink vouchers as a loyalty member. Breakfast buffet was surprisingly good with hot food, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, pastries, bread, and juices. No pool or gym.
D.
Nice and tidy hotel, a bit dated though. Staff here are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning had a good verity. Room facilities were good and clean, tea and coffee in your room. Bed was nice and comfy, aircon was great kept room warm and was quiet enough to leave on all night
K.
The rooms were clean and well designed. However, there are few views to be had, and the room we had faced a drab Grey building.
The beds were comfortable while the bathroom was functional.
How every, the hotel charges $26 dollars a night for parking. This was affordable when you compare it to Wilsons parking, which would charge you a similar amount, but not to other hotels which may offer the parking for free. Be aware that they have very limited parking spots so it may be worth calling into pre book.
They do have a morning breakfast buffet, but we just bought croissants from the lobby which was quite affordable and hearty.
Location wise, it is in the middle of the city and everything is in walking distance. Given all the road closures and one ways as a result of earthquake reconstruction works, and the fact that Google Maps doesn't know of these, you may need to drive around a few times before finding the hotel car park entrance.
c.
Nice place to stay. Right in the heart of the city. Great staff, always helpful. Alway very clean and tidy. I also enjoy the restaurant, a limited menu that covers all the bases and they do it well. Also a good Breakfast buffet. With more great staff.
D.
I thought the room was excellent. It was very quiet and comfortable. The only issue regarding my stay I was unhappy with was the buffet breakfast - most of it was barely warm. I won't get it again if that is the normal standard. The sausages and bacon were also a bit under cooked.
H.
First time staying at the Ibis Christchurch and I was really happy. The location is great - in the middle of the CBD which was good for work, plus plenty of cafes and restaurants around within walking distance. The rooms were good and sizes better than I'm used to in an Ibis - good air conditioning as well which was appreciated. The best part about this stay though were the staff - excellent treatment by all staff, but the standout was Sebastian the F&B Manager who really went above and beyond to sort out various things. I'll definitely be back.
C.
Great place to stay and centrally located opposite the new BNZ centre. Room was comfortable and had ample space. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Dinner and roon service prices were a bit steep compared to the star rating of the Hotel. Free Wifi was a bonus if you joined the Le Club Accors club for free.
N.
We had booked an early arrival with the hotel from 9:00am, but arrived closer to 6:00am. Expecting that we may not be able to get into a room at this time we went to the desk to see if we could leave our bags. However, we were able to check-in and, as the room was ready and got some needed sleep after our overnight flight. The room was small, but comfortable for my wife and I, and was kept clean and well stocked. It is also in a very central location, with all that we needed within easy walking distance. My only general wish for Ibis hotels is for a room safe.
s.
Beds were comfortable, its in a great location, shower was terrible but staff were nice and it was clean
j.
This is my second stay this year. I find ALL the staff - reception, restaurant, and room service staff all very nice to deal with. Restaurant dinner and breakfast good. As usual, the rooms are smallish but perfectly adequate and, as always, very comfortable beds. As a bonus, close to shopping.
M.
The hotel staff were lovely. I found it strange that at check out time there was only one concierge on the desk. I wasn't in a hurry, but clearly others were. As a Silver member of Accor hotels I was also surprised that the staff were unfamiliar with the benefits I could receive and didn't believe me when I told them I was entitled to a discount on my evening meal from the night before. The room was adequate and the food was fabulous. I will be back
A.
Great central location, although the opposite offices seem to stay open late so best to close the blinds early!! All the usual Ibis amenities, indeed every Ibis room I've ever stayed in is identical. Friendly staff, very helpful, with dining downstairs or plenty of surrounding eating options available.
S.
Walking distance to town . Rooms clean. Check in staff very freindly
Y.
Better the standard than Australia! I tried the bar and steak at the kitchen both acceptable. Customer service is at a high standard as well, you are paying 100 bucks after all lol. I parked the car underground space in between cars is huge however make sure you book it.
J.
It was very comfortable and the staff very helpful. On Hereford Street it is convenient to buses and trams. The restaurant had a good menu and I chose lamb for dinner. Nobody else was watching so the staff changed the tv to Sky so I could watch the cricket highlights, Australia v England or you could call it the Steve Smith show. Brilliant.
S.
Excellent location. Nice hotel. Rooms were okay. The housekeeping (bed linen smelly) could improve, bathrooms were small but functional.
For the price paid its a good hotel considering the location.
D.
After having stayed at the Ibis Hotel, Christchurch in January it was a lovely touch when we arrived at our room and there were four bottles of water and a note welcoming us back. It was much appreciated. The room was cleaned to a high standard, you have fantastic cleaning staff. Your staff are all so friendly and helpful which makes us want to come back again in the near future.
L.
We stayed here as our first destination of our family holiday. The hotel location, service and staff were excellent. Wifi was good. Only downside was no discounted parking available to guest and rooms were very tiny. Not really suitable for a family of 4:)
E.
A clean entrance, only brought down by local 'dwellers outside. The conference space was small but warm. The restaurant made an espresso coffee and had very tasty buffet options.
D.
We had a nice stay but would have liked to have been advised that the bar/restaurant was closed. Also a real shame that the local homeless hangout is directly outside the front door.
A.
Very helpful front office staff who moved my room when I was slightly disatisfied with my room. They even moved it while I was at my conference which was great. Everyone I dealt with during my trip was absoloutely lovely! One of them even leant me a personal phone charger when I left mine in the conference and only noticed before I went to bed. They really went above and beyond. The location was very central and I would stay here again.
T.
My fiance and I stayed there during this month. The location of the hotel simply cannot be beaten. Transportation in the area was pretty easy. Staff is there to help you to enjoy as much as possible during your stay. On the expensive side for someone with a small to medium sized budget.
C.
Clean and tidy friendly staff and a great location
J.
The hotel is certainly nice enough and I had no complaints at all, but compared to other similarly priced options nearby, it does feel just a little bit system spartan and dated. For the price it would also have been good to have wifi included rather than a$10/day extra
J.
Stayed here whilst in Christchurch
Manager was very obliging staff very friendly Rooms nice and comfortable beds and pillows
Very enjoyable
M.
It's the first check-in where I've experienced less than outstanding service. The first encounter was with a young lady at the front counter who couldn't explain to me how the parking situation worked. I had ticked 'arriving by car' when I booked, but I don't remember any option for booking a parking space. When I arrived and asked about parking, I was asked 'did you book parking?', and was promptly told the carpark was full. I was then given broad directions to a public car park in the next block, in response to my question about parking. I was handed the key with no information about what floor, or what the room number was. This was not a problem, since the room number was written on the cover, but usually the check-in person explains that I'm on the 4th floor, in room 401. No big deal, but it just isn't the service and attention that I'm used to with Accor Hotels. It made the start of the stay a little less than welcoming, but luckily, the rest of the stay worked out okay.
C.
Location was prime. 5mins walk to the bus interchange. Rooms and beds are spacious. Service is good. In-room WiFi has to be paid for, unless you sign up for the LeAccors membership. There are 3 desktops in the lobby w unlimited internet for use though.
C.
The room was good and comfortable, except both the mugs are dirty which I wouldn’t expect in a nearly 100 dollars room.
S.
Rooms are tidy, well equipped and clean. Awesome room service - very tidy when we came back. There was a full range of breakfast served. Location is close to the city centre. Only the reception could be a bit more friendly.
K.
We stayed 2 nights at your hotel - one night before the Tranz Alpine Train trip and one after. Everything was good with the hotel. The receptionist helped book a shuttle to the train station for the following day, which was very helpful.
We booked the online meal package for both nights - but the restaurant staff and reception staff that were on duty on our second nights stay knew nothing about the package, so we had to explain to them what it included. This caused a lot of frustration for us. The staff should be aware of deals that they are selling.
S.
This is a good hotel and the staff are all very nice. My only complaint was the hallway noise. While the rooms are quite soundproof, you hear every detail of hallway activity. The tour group leaving at 3.30 am was really loud and disturbed my sleep as did every other hallway conversation, delivery etc. I'm a sound sleeper so have never made this complaint regarding any hotel before. It just bugged me because I was in Christchurch on business and value a good night's sleep.
E.
Firstly I thought the experience was over priced. $179 for one room that didn't have enough space to swing a cat! Why have a king bed and a single in a room of that size I do not know. This meant bags etc could barley be opened and we could access the table along the window. Hotel took ages on check in and parking cost $25 over night! Again over priced for the time of year and location.
s.
The counter service staff are very helpful and inform us that we can take shuttle service to trans Alphine station and to the airport. We are also allowed to keep the big luggage with the hotel as we travel light to another location. We like the breakfast in the hotel especially the coffee!!
R.
Great room - they have a wonderful restaurant- but you can’t use it -you cannot even get breakfast
D.
Very tidy and clean rooms. Desk staff were mostly good. Shared a room with a Chorus colleague who had to check out early (430am); when I got up Wi-Fi had been disconnected!
B.
Good location. Clean and comfy bed friendly staff. Contenental breakfast included
B.
Our stay was awesome. Rooms were clean but very small for a family standard room. Other than that the location was perfect! Staff were amazing. Price is okay. However, will stay again.
H.
Front desk staff were lovely, restaurant seemed certain I was trying to rip them off even though reception told them meals were charged back to my company. Also no plugs by the bed so very inconvenient when trying to charge devices. Apart from that it was ok
M.
Great location, clean and tidy budget accommodation in central city. Staff were great with quick check in and check out. Rooms are quite small if you are staying for a while and spend lots of time in your room.
M.
Nice rooms although a bit small. It was hard to squeeze through and we had a baby crib set up. It was nice that they set up the crib prior to our arrival. Breakfast is decent but pretty expensive.
J.
The first night was uneventful with a smooth check in. The second day a large group of children checked in a it immediately became extremely noisy. The girls were in the halls talking and even yelling down the halls. It took three calls to the front desk over the course of several hours to get results. I was offered a different room but not until I had already retired for the night. I even used earplugs and the noise was still quit intolerable. Not a pleasant day at all.
S.
For starters for the great location, friendly staff and comfy beds. The rooms are basic, but adequate. I had an ironing board and iron, plus flat screen TV (with HDMI slot for my Chromecast). They supply a kettle and free instant coffee and tea and some UHT milk thingies. There is a fridge.
I had one meal during my 3 day stay. The lamb curry. It was small, boring and $29. No thanks. I ate elsewhere after that.
Popular with bus tours, it can be a struggle at times to check in or out if you're solo. With only two lifts, bad luck can see you waiting a bit too go up to your room if 50 people have just arrived with luggage.
Minor quibbles, but real enough if you strike them. This hotel is all about the location.
That said.....much of the CBD is still an empty (or under construction) wasteland 5 years after the big quakes. Dead after 6pm. If you're looking for nightlife, you may want to stay somewhere on Riccarton Rd or another satellite shopping / restaurant area.
M.
Five stars for location, great budget hotel, close to most of the free attractions, if you became a member you get unlimited internet which we did. Yes the rooms & bathrooms are small BUT all you need is a compy bed which they are to sleep as you are to busy sight seeing.
G.
Lovely stay 2 min from cathedral square. Very friendly staff, nice and clean. Can highly recommend it.
J.
The room was adequate, staff pleasant, dining area was more like cafeteria associated to budget facility.
Food was nice though. Good location as right in city where all the office and shopping is now taking place.
J.
They were painting inside during the day, food was average, room had three single beds in it for one person, reception had two staff members who kept leaving the people infront of them to answer the phones. Was clean and tidy but over all very very average.
M.
Great location right in the middle of Christchurch City. It is within walking distance of the shopping centre, transit centre, and other tourist attractions. If you are in town on Fridays, do check out the night food market behind the hotel, at the Cathedral square. The room itself has everything you need and is clean. Room service is excellent.
R.
All of my encounters with your staff from the cleaner to reception were excellent. They were friendly and chatty .
Rooms were what I expected in this price range . Large enough for our needs , clean , tidy and
Great location for our needs.
B.
On the 24 July I tried to book on line but after finding the room I wanted ( your system said there were 7 rooms left ) every time I locked onto the booking I wanted your system changed to something else. As I was catching the ferry next morning I did not have the time to waste so I rang the hotel. After telling the very nice woman about the problem I was having she too said that something was not right. Also while there I did speak to her at the counter and she said that she did ask why there was a problem.
As I live in Wellington and driving down did not know how long the trip would take I booked for the 26 & 27 at a dearer price that on your website. On the 25th from door to door it took us 13 hours and arrived that night around 7pm.Then because of your system I could not move my booking forward 1 night so finished up getting a room at a higher rate again. When I made the phone booking I was told that I had free breakfasts with the booking and then found out that I got charged for them.
Over the last 10 years or so when working in CHCH I always try to book in there ,even stayed there many times when you were in the Red zone
C.
As with any chain brand you know what to expect and the ibis Christchurch is no exception. Bed comfort is excellent and better than most Ibis properties in NZ. 8th floor view on the road front side is great as you can see over the BNZ building to the hills. Staff are attentive and helpful.
N.
Small rooms but good service at the front desk
B.
As expected of my stays in Accor hotels, the accommodation rate was great, dining excellent, front desk and restaurant staff up to the "Accors" high standard - special thanks to "Bishal" for his brilliant service in obtaining pork steaks for one of our meals !
A.
Decent hotel good location. Meets all the usual Ibis standards, clean reasonable price friendly service
S.
The room was lovely, had 2 double beds and enough room for 2 girls and all their luggage/shopping. The staff on Reception were super friendly and allowed us to check in early
t.
Not so good experience. AirBnB in New zealand are better than this. They charged for even wifi. Had to go 200 mtrs away to park my vehicle in an unsafe public parking
N.
Room was clean, bed comfortable but not happy to pay $25 for one nights parking. On check in we were told breakfast was included in our nights stay but when we went for breakfast we were told it wasn't and had to pay. Very disappointing.
J.
It was perfect for what we needed a good place to sleep and close to the river side market
T.
Hi we arrived after 6pm. Parker went to room .good size bed. Went down to Dinner. Meal was good. Service was excellent. Not busy. Certainly would stay again. Very handy.
S.
Comfortable enough. Room adequate for a 1 night stay. Be careful when you sit on the bed. They have unlocked wheels and shift very easily
M.
The city of Christchurch is coloured by the big and many earthquakes and still so welcoming.
Ibis hotel felt the same, warm and friendly.
Very central location, just beside the hop on hop off tram!
s.
Always comfortable and welcoming. Fantastic location - very central, but rooms are very quiet. My first choice for accommodation in Christchurch.
a.
Very well located in downtown Christchurch. Don't let the fact that Christchurch is a construction site (70% of the city centre is being rebuilt) deter you from visiting - there is plenty to see and do. Friendly staff, large room, new facilities, great breakfast. Extra charge for parking was a bit off-putting.
M.
Very friendly staff work in this Ibis. My stay was an absolute pleasure. Great location and very affordable pricing.
K.
Small rooms but we didn't mind because we were barely there. Location was great, walking distance to shops, restaurants.
j.
Great location very clean and tidy rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful definitely be back
T.
My second time staying here. Hotel is what you would expect from the Ibis range. I got there late (about 9.30pm) and the bistro/ bar was already closed. The location is very central and close to shops, cafes, etc. At $170 - 190/ night - its not cheap though..
A.
Location excelĺlent in hte central city. Close to the bus terminus for easy connection to the airport.
Breakfast very adequate. This was all we needed, have stayed here before and will stay again.
R.
Nice clean, small, great location, air-conditioning could be quieter
P.
Shapeshifter are as brilliant as they have always been. Great show.
K.
I was made to feel welcome, if I had a problem staff sorted it out professionally. The hotel was very clean and warm. I found the hotel very central to city so I could walk everywhere I wanted to go.
B.
Centrally located.and about best nights I've had in a hotel. Visiting family so didn't try inhouse restaurant.
m.
Right in city centre. Location is U.S.P of each ibis. I prefer ibis everywhere ...hassle free check in and check out minimalistic design but all essentials included. And VFM...if thete was a category between hotel and motel IBIS would be rated no. 1
J.
Very impressed with professional service. One small complaint is the size of the meals... absolutely tiny! The restaurant is not marketed as fine dining or anything. I would expect as the only place to eat in the vicinity, meals should preferably be filling.
T.
Pleasant stay. Good breakfast. Efficient and attentive staff.
J.
Staff are always nice and efficient. They left a lovely note in my room welcoming me back plus Easter eggs and fruit. Really nice touch.
B.
Extremely helpful staff, very typical Ibis set up with the room, all very clean, laundry facilities which were much apprecieted but typical of a city hotel.
s.
Clean comfortable and tidy. We were given a room with handicap needs , not sure why but we dint have any issues as long as it did not affect anyone who needed one.
T.
The rooms are what you would expect from the ibis group. The staff are by far the best that we have encountered whilst staying in Ibis hotel's. Good work👍
C.
Good breakfast option, decent rooms but no view to speak of. Good location, very central. Not much parking available but can be booked.
O.
Good staff and service. Clean rooms and got all basic requirements for budget type. Restaurant is nice. There are couple of other restaurants just across the road.
S.
Good location. Rooms are a bit small, hot water is not reliable in-room. Parking is an issue. Surrounded by lots of homeless people.
R.
Super friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are really clean and comfortable and has everything we needed for a great stay
We will be back
R.
Great rooms. Really comfortable beds. En-suites have great pressure. Fantastic breakfast in the restaurant or a quiet drink in the evening. The staff are warm and welcoming.
d.
It was ok. When we showered the water ran all over the floor so it was very wet and we were unable to use the bathroom again until the next day..not a good solution to use al your towels on the floor when your getting ready to go out for the nigtht.
Room was quite dark lighting not good. No where to hang coats etc.
A.
For the most part, exactly what you expect at this price point. Major drawback: no outlets anywhere remotely close to the bed side tables. You cannot have your phone by the bed and charge it at the same time, which I consider a massive design/practicality oversight.
H.
The bed was fantastic. No power points next to the bed is extremely disappointing. Paying for wifi these days when other hotels include it is disappointing too.
A.
Good city hotel with good breakfast. Clean and no fuzz. Our receptionist Mr Kali was wonderful and helpful. Cheers
V.
Pretty basic, but i guess you get what you pay for. Great location and easy access to the main shopping strip and other tourist areas in the city centre. Lack of parking makes it a bit more of a challenge especially when its raining. Park at the nearby multistorey carpark for best overnight rates.
R.
Great location. Lack of parking. Staff were amazing and incredibly friendly. Definitely worth a stay!
M.
Nice place in the city center. Unfortunately the restaurant is closed, so no breakfast... Hopefully it will reopen at some point..
