M.A true west coast pub, we spent the weekend here, the staff did everything they could to make our stay awesome and the succeeded , the rooms are clean comfortable and quiet, the beds are comfortable, the foods great and the social scene is a lot of fun.
It’s off the beaten track and totally worth a couple of nights
G.Basic (old school) but adequate accommodation at an excellent price. Friendly service. Dog friendly which is great for rover owners on the move.

T.Excellent two nights basking in the warm hospitality of Lynette and Ross in this hidden gem. Kids loved the free pool, the drinks were well poured and well priced, and the continental breakfast was varied and fresh. Room was clean, toilets and showers were being upgraded at the time of our stay but otherwise 10 out of 10. Will be staying next time for sure.

S.The rooms were very clean and we slept very well. The bar is very local and fun to grab a beer in. Free pool. Shared bathrooms, but it's not a big deal. The woman who runs the place is very accommodating and cooks excellent Thai food!
H.Hidden Treasures! It’s a great hotel with extremely welcoming and friendly staff, me and my family practically felt like it was our own house! The Hotel was built sometime around the 1910s but then burnt down and rebuilt in the 1930s, it has a large amount of priceless antiques such as heaps of paintings that one of the owners mothers made at just the age of 14! The hotel also offers a wide range of food, lounge, bathroom, bar and garden facilities.It’s only a five minute drive into Greymouth and a two minute drive to Rapahoe. It truly is a good old kiwi hotel, Also once again the staff are extremely approachable and caring and great place for kids! Me and my family Thoroughly thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would highly recommend staying at the Dunollie Hotel, it was a really great experience I hope we can visit again!
J.This is the second time we have stayed here as part of a south island road trip. Very affordable and excellent service. Staff are friendly and facilities are clean and tidy. Cheap food, friendly locals and great music. Perfect mid-way point to spend a night if you are travelling from Queenstown to Nelson and are going via the West Coast.
A.We stayed at the Dunollie Hotel for the entirety of Covid 19 lockdown (8 weeks), and for a further 7 days in June, with our two young girls.
We found an oasis; a home away from home. Ross and Lynette are terrific hosts, with a tremendous knowledge of the local history and great social connections to the community. Throughout the lockdown, our girls had toys to play with and cooking to help with, and space to run around and be themselves. With Ross and Lynette's unwavering generosity, the Dunollie Hotel transformed what should have been an arduous couple of months into a much-needed break from life on the road.
The showers are excellent, the food is excellent, the beer is excellent, the prices are excellent. As well as the quiet and calm living area, there is a lively and welcoming community around the bar.
To stay here is to be immersed fully in West Coast hospitality and culture. Ross and Lynnette are legendary publicans, and the passion they put into the Dunollie Hotel makes the place sing. They are the best hosts we found during our 7 month tour of New Zealand. We live on the other side of the world, but we will be back.

Th female owner is so warm and friendly. She gave us a blanket to keep us warm in this winter!

R.Had the best time ever with a bunch of lovely locals and welcoming publicans ... our dog was allowed to roam around the pub and sleep in our room she was spoilt ... thank you so much we will definitely be back 😊😊😊
M.Very nice small pub with very friendly and efficient bar, excellent location in one of NZs nicest wee villages. Definitely recommended for eats and drinks over the busier commercial establishments in Greymouth town. Local villagers were good for a laugh and a yarn, lots of ouside space on the deck too. Lots of naturey stuff to do round Dunollie within walking distance and there's free pool tables too.

Everything was very clean excepting for the kitchen was very dirty, and the internet in the room had no connection, outside in the common areas the internet was very fast but all the time was disconnected, and that was very annoying.
Nice price worth it but must improve the internet connection

H.(Translated) We went here after reading on the campermate that it was possible to camp in the parking lot for a cheap money. Included access to jaws, toilets, shower, washing machine. We played billiards (cost nothing extra either) and took some beers and desserts for good price. Friendly staff!

Vi åkte hit efter att ha läst på campermate att det gick att campa på parkeringen för en billig peng. Ingick tillgång till käk, toaletter, dusch, tvättmaskin. Vi spelade biljard (kostar inget extra heller) och tog några öl och efterrätter för bra pris. Trevlig personal!
