Carol and David are super friendly and helpful. The place was decorated very tastefully, and the mattress is so comfortable to sleep on. The cooked breakfast is so delicious, I personally think it is a cafe standard cooking. The location is right at the CBD but there is not much traffic noise. The room is so clean and tidy. It was a very lovely stay. Highly recommended.

Lovely place. Has a lovely home touch with a beautiful relaxing garden and a lovely room with little personal touches we did not have in other hotels.Really looked after by Karel & David. Very close to the town, sites and restaurants too.

David's extensive knowledge of the local and wider environment was of assistance to overseas visitors such as ourselves. Very welcoming hosts Karel and David provided good information on where to eat and things to see on our onward journey. …

Less than ten minute walk to the cathedral restaurant area and straight forward to navigate. Tea and coffee with fresh milk and homemade biscuits were available all day, ***** with a bowl of fruit. The highlight of our stay was the …

Nice rooms and good location. Disappointed with breakfast- cereal and plain yoghurt plus chopped fruit was the only cold option. My husband was disappointed with the eggs at breakfast - he had poached one day and fried another morning. They were both a bit over cooked. Stayed in 3 B&B places on our tour so far and I'm afraid this is number 3 on the list when you compare to the others.

The owners are really freidnly and nice and helped ***y of the guests with travel plans, ideas, advice and bookings. Cambria House would delight the fussiest and most discerning traveller. Our hosts were very helpful with local knowledge and advice. A short walk into town with a range of restaurants.

Karel was a great host and provided excellent information on things to do, restaurants, etc. Hosts were friendly and provided lots of advice about places to eat and visit and routes to take. We would not hesitate to stay again and would highly recommend anybody wanting to stay close to the centre of Nelson without all the bustle.

A wonderful place for a relaxing time. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb. Bright large dining room with excellent breakfast choices. Breakfast was served at our designated time of juice, muesli / cereal followed by a choice of cooked breakfast with toast and the usual jams and honey.

Karol has thought of everything to make this B and B a great place to stay. Hosts Karen and David were very welcoming and eager to hear our story. The home is situated an easy walk from the Travalgar St shopping and dining district. The Nelson area was well worth the visit.

The owners were very helpful with information on activities and travel. There was a lovely sitting room and a decked garden area with shading. The friendly hosts really made us very welcome in their lovely home. For dinner it is a ten minute walk into the centre of the town.

My wife and I visited Cambria House a while ago. The location of the guest house was great witnin 5 walk from Nelson city centre. There was a large sunny terrace with perfect view, our room was well furnished and nicely decorated. We would recommend this establishment to family and friends.

Everyone we met was touring NZ like ourselves so it was helpful to get recommendations and hear peoples opinion of places. Cambria House is a short walk into the centre of Nelson. Carol gave us special attention with delicious home-cooked breakfasts before we left early for our tour of Abel Tas*** National Park.

A superior bed and breakfast is how it markets itself and it meets those boasts easily. Karel and David Wallace were gracious hosts with lots of information about the areas history as well as information about what to do and where to eat etc. Everything a good B & B should be, and such a nice contrast to a big hotel.
