H.Booked overnight with family and was not impressed with the bathroom and shower layout. Person taking a shower/in toilet cannot lock door and doors are translucent and all connected in one room/ people in bedroom can hear. Parking is $45 however given it was a public holiday we parked on the street for free. The highlight of our stay here was the breakfast, with upon request the chefs cookin up fresh eggs and pancakes and also providing very good table service.
K.Stayed for the weekend, the staff were very polite and friendly with five star service, great location and our room was stunning. A modern hotel in Rotorua, a lovely restaurant with excellent food. I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else 😊
M.The hotel is nice, very upmarket esthetically. However, upon arrival we're told we had to pay $45 for parking or park on the street. Ive never had to pay additional parking especially at $330 a night room. And it's not advisable to park on the street in Rotorua. The service was average the service desk went unanswered.
The aircon wouldn't work, there were no instructions for anything anywhere. There's no summary of local restaurants etc

C.Best hotel in Rotorua. The rooms are really well appointed and has a new modern feel. The building also has great views of the lake and surrounding areas. Added bonus if you’re an Accor hotels member! Will be back!

Room wise really great but Pullman layout somehow not quite a good layout for me (been in other Pullman before) especially the layout for the bath room or shower room. However eventhough the location is perfect, but because it's quite far from the lake, lake view is not the best.
Breakfast almost perfect. Just not really enjoying the eggs (i tried sunny side up and poached). Otherwise perfect.
The only thing bugging me is the cost for the valet. The cost is too high compares to others. Novotel Rotorua has free parking, other Accor hotels in Wellington has free valet for ev and hybrid cars.
Also as gold accor plus member, I always got complimentary upgrade. Unfortunately they only have double queen bed in Superior room. Not Deluxe.
However overall really good. Recommended.

H.Lovely large room, great lake view with north facing sun throughout the day. Very quiet rooms, nice thick curtains and carpet. Very clean with incredibly comfortable beds. Would prefer loo and shower to be more private. Staff lovely and accommodating. recommend paying for valet parking so you don't need to worry about the car. Restaurant dinner was very tasty and came out in a good time frame. Fantastic location.
G.The Pullman's Restaurant is called "The Barrell & Co". Went there last night. Teribly disappointing.
Given the Pullman is rated as a 5 Star hotel, for us nothing could be further away from 5 Star. From a dining experience, I'd say 3 or 3+ - no more.
Firstly, although booking made by phone, they had no record.
The menu was tattered, torn & scruffy.
Service was "only average". Erin was great tho.
We got a "blunt" steak knives. I had to ask for a "serated steak knife". Server said, she'd go get them. I shouldn't have had to ask for them.
Eye fillet for both of us was "only average". I've had better by far.
Wines were limited and some on menu weren't available.
Friends staying there had a far worse experience than we did. They were not given concessions they were due for. Also Club Lounge not operating. Nothing on website to say this.
Would I recommend "The Barrell Restaurant" to friends?? Based on our experience I would not. A shame really..
G.Lovely, spacious room. 'Mood' lighting a bit too 'moody' - especially in the restaurant where we had to use the torch on our phones to read the menu. Great staff.

Thought some extra detail might be useful. The room was very nice, spacious, although the toilet was leaking water from the cistern throughout my stay. I was only there one night and let them know when I left.
Front of house staff were excellent, particularly the welcoming manager who was clear and concise.
The breakfast I thought was really bad actually. For $39, the food range was limited, pretty unexciting and tasteless. Wasn't offered a hot beverage, needed to ask, even though there were a total of 2 guests dining. I would suggest the hotel review their offering, the price or customers should go to a local cafe instead.
I went to the bar the night I was there. The staff were very friendly; one of the glasses of bubbles was pretty flat, probably not on at the prices charged.

J.Couldn't ask for anything better. Beautifully clean rooms, helpful staff, and the food at Barrel & Co Bar & Grill- simply delicious. The breakfast each morning was hearty as for the start of our busy, long days. Eggs any way you like and pancakes made to order on Sunday- definitely on point. I absolutely have to mention Anthony and his team for making our groups stay just that much more enjoyable. His professional, fun, friendly, personal greetings, great stories, and just that welcoming smile and hug when I left was the highlight of my stay there. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Rotorua. We attended a three-day conference at the Energy Event Centre so the location was perfect. Lake views were spectacular. Thanks for an amazing time.

L.Right from the friendly staff at checkin, service from the bar and the dinner being top class. We enjoyed a one night stay in a very clean appointed room that faced the lake. Relaxed in the sun and read a supplied magazine while sipping a Nespresso coffee that I made in the room. Bliss! Dinner in the restaurant Barrel and Co was a nice relaxed atmosphere while little things like cloth napkins and modern crockery added to the experience. Wait staff were amazing! Food was superb! MUST STAY...
J.The best hotel I have ever stayed at in New Zealand! The room was awesome and the lake view was incredible! The staff are maybe not used to international travelers but apart from that everything was superb. The location is perfect!
B.Great check-in experience with helpful staff. The facilities are great helped by being quite a new hotel (about a year old). We'd booked a "Superior Room" which, in their parlance, is a standard room but the room was spacious with a great shower and king bed. The room came with bath robes, slippers and tea/coffee facilities. There is also an in-house restaurant where we really enjoyed the food.
A.We have only just arrived and so far the staff are fantastic. Very very helpful. The room is perfect for us( family of 4). Top marks to thestaff for doing a great job and the place is so nice and wonderfully played out
W.The bed was great but that was about the best if it. While the room was large it wasn't well laid out and lacked lighting where it was needed. It also lacked anywhere to hang your towels up after having had a shower.
We decided to have a cocktail which was the worst decision we made as not one of the four team members behind the bar knew how to make a margarita so had to ask one of the reception staff to help. My partner asked for a Paloma (it was on the menu) and she was asked what was in it. Neither of the cocktails were drinkable so we just left them. To the bar staff's credit they didn't charge us for the drinks.

R.Went for Christmas dinner and the food was very good. I had the sharing plate of lamb rack with my husband- excellent. I thought they might have had some Christmas choices for the night.
Slight mix up with the drinks but I had a very nice mock tail and the cheese platter was great with the drinks.

K.Excellent, spotless room. Amazing bathroom, comfortable bed. Breakfast was perfect. Staff were very professional, exactly what you would expect from a 5 star Hotel. The young conceriege was all to happy to assist, letting me park and retrieve my vehicle from the valet parking due to the awkward driveway and risk of damaging something in the process. The car was however moved the last night of our stay and parked on the road overnight. (Due to circumstances beyond there control I'm told) although was not ideal as I had requested secure parking for a reason. To the hotel's credit they did let me know the next morning and refunded the cost of the parking for the duration of the stay . But for future reference it would be nice to let the guest know if this was going to be the case at the time. Overall it was an enjoyable experience and would stay again.

It was ok, the staff were great, the hotel lobby looks amazing.
I didn't eat at the restaurant, but it looked pretty good.
The hotel room looked nice, you can mirror to the TV which is a nice feature.
The bed was terrible, and the showers water pressure was weak - not what you'd expect from a 5 star hotel.
It's right in town so you can just walk to cafes and resteraunts.
I might stay again, not sure, there's so many options.
T.amazing location and great staff, 5 star deserved. Sela treated us really well. only a 4 as the restaurant has limited dinner menu. only steak, or lamb on the mains. thats it. no chicken , fish or anything else. AKL pullman restaurant leaves it in the dust.(before covid)

The restaurant was great for breakfast lunch and dinner. I look forward to returning and watching this place develop, it is off to a great start. City views are great, the lake view rooms are even better. Don't hesitate, get in and give it a try!
N.Excellent customer service, very friendly staff always with a smile in the face makes you feel at home. Excellent location with just opposite the i-site across the road. Room is clean, feels new after the lockdown. The only downside is there are no car park for guest but I’m happy to pay $25 for the valet car park. Highly recommended for a romantic getaway or for a family travel like us.
j.Incredibly gorgeous hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Only negative is the experience we had when we tried to book an extra nights stay. The hotel bumped up the price by $80 as they had their “grand opening” then offered us a 10% discount as a “courtesy”. We only proceeded as it was our anniversary and loved the hotel. On top of this we were told we could stay in the same room then told we couldn’t and then told we could. Naturally I was a little irritated by this stage as it was supposed to be a special stay for my husband and I and being told we had to move removes after being told we could stay was very annoying. They definitely need to iron out their internal process issues. This left a little bit of a sour taste in our mouth given it is a 5 star hotel and this is reflected in the rating I am leaving. The rooms however are gorgeous and staff are very polite. I still
recommend staying here. Perhaps just book in advance so you don’t encounter a situation like we did!

H.Clean and comfortable rooms at this new hotel. Staff were attentive and keen to help. Located right in the middle of town making it easy to walk to the key sights in town. Bar staff were not very clued up when I asked about various wines and beers. Also the hotel did not accept Amex when I visited in January 2020.

K.Stay there for new year’s. I like how it clean and all new. But the set of the room, lacks privacy. Resturant is not so big. They need to add more onto their breakfast menu.
J.Excellent new Hotel situated in the heart of CBD, everything is within walking distance, and I mean everything.. The lake, garden, cafe, shops, spa pools, restaurant strip etc. Plenty free parking around. Dairy right next door. They made the right decision about the central location where as most other hotels congregate around Lake front or on old and outdated Fenton Street. Good price and excellent services from all staff, from front desk down to housekeeping members. Everything still looks and smells new. Good fitting materials in the room, American Standrad, Grohe tapeware - these are quality stuff if you ever visit Mitre 10 store and you will know what I mean. Fancy design of glass panels for shower and separate bathroom. They are also very specious. good air con and ventilation system. This Pullman hotel makes Novotel/Millennium down the road feel 30 years older! Even though they are part of the same group. The only suggestion I have is that there are no hooks or places to hang the bath towels! So you are most likely to hang the towels by hanging them over the glass shower door. Not too sure why this simple yet important feature was missed It was worthy every penny nonetheless. It would have been 5 stars if they had hooks in the room.

P.We just did a random trip and drove down to R town in Jan 1st~ every hotel is almost at the same insanely high price ~ after compared with other hotel Pullman is def the best choice. However the mini bar is empty as the COVID-19 and room is dusty a bit all thank for the COVID lol~|~
T.We rate this a 3, the staff were friendly enough, but this is definately not a 5 star yet, maybe one day. They were short on bath towels and face cloths. We are a family of 4. Both Friday and Saturday we were only able to have 2, Sunday we got 3, and Monday our last night we got 4 finally. They apparently dont have enough to service a full hotel. We had breakfast on Saturday, this was extremely poor, and definately not worth its price. They serve till 10.30am from memory on a Saturday, we got there at 9.30am, the hot food was mostly empty, and as for the Continental bfast was even worse. They didn't have enough cups for hot drinks, we had to wait for them to be washed before we could get a cuppa or coffee. I had to ask repeatedly for hot water and milk to be filled up. They also have this located in the most awkward of spots, right on the bar, which also is where you line up and pay. Very frustrating indeed, they had also popped cereal at the other end of the bar, not again easy for access. Now as for the toast, the only spread they had was peanut butter and raspberry jam, so I hope you like those. Final issue is parking, for a full hotel, they did not have adequate staff to move vehicles either which had its difficult moments too. It is located in walking distance to Eat Street which is quite handy. The rooms however are nice, quite dusty in Room 216 though, but roomy for a family of 4 which is nice. The only quip is that with a 11 and 12yr old, there is no privacy for showers and changing area, as this is all open to the room. We would still come back again, as above they are new, they do need to work on a few things tho.

c.This Hotel was lovely. Our level, 6, had a resonable lake view. Quiet room. Well appointed and very clean. Massive shower. Really other than the odd furniture layout, everything was A+.
But as our booking was a luxury escapement we were afforded the luxury of Club Room access. Hmmmm and that's about where our luxury experience ended.
Only open 6 weeks, but service here was very poor. "Help yourself mate" but be quick as snacks and unlabeled canapés will run out several time's. Thus lounge staff dissappear across the lobby to kitchen several times to fetch more. Wandering through guests checking-in with uncovered plates of food.
Breakfast was just as poorly arranged. Much to be improved.
Actually spoiled our experience. I hope things get sorted.

j.Pretty good location where the Hotel is situated. Close to all amentities such as the township, spa pools, bars n cafes as well as Te Puia and the Lake! Recommend highly visiting this real natural attraction, worth every penny!! D.Beautiful and new but no amenities. Gym was not open while we were there for some reason. No pool. No toilet brushes. And breakfast was another 30 per head for smorgasbord style breaky.
N.The room was modern. It had a weird bathroom setup which sacrificed some toileting privacy. Parking was not included and at $25 a night we risked parking on the street outside.

D.Really enjoyed our 2 nights at the Pullman. Beautiful room.wonderful friendly and helpful staff....we were looked after superbly... especially in the restaurant. Zara and Crystal are very caring and attentive young ladies. We had delicious meals too... compliments to the chefs. Many thanks for looking after us so well...we will certainly be back.

The rooms were so cozy and comfy, the coffee was delicious (Maccona) or they have capsuled coffee
Breakfast was amazing with all you could ever need. The breakfast sausages were weird so definitely dont try them, the were quite firm almost like a chorizo.
Great hotel and highly recommend.
