c.Amazing camping site holiday park , only downfall is th walk to th beach it was a mission with little ones and taking food and things to th surf great walk otherwise but my arthritis in my knee ws killing me , need a cart haul ur things recommend , but beautiful spot thank u ruakaka fo making th memories , they hv rules in place but u cn understand why it ws packed wen we went very popular spot and affordable it ws cheap considering what they offered . Experience was amazing first time there with th 5 of us .

n.Terrific holiday park. My family and I will be coming here regularly for life. The park was clean and well organized, facilities were very well maintained including bathrooms, kitchen area, and playground. Our campsite was spacious for what we needed, very well mapped out and a great price. Security at night was prevalent but polite and certainly not "fun police". Very friendly staff that worked around an unforeseen circumstance to give our family a lasting memory.

R.If you are wanting to camp, Ruakaka is ideal! It provides all the facilities you need like toilets/showers, communal kitchen, communal laundry, bbq area, playground and tennis court. I saw they also have cabins you can hire if you are not the camper type. The beach is 😍😍😍. Absolutely stunning! I don't know how to convince anyone more. Staff are very friendly. We paid for a powered site that provides a tap and a wire clothesline. No pets are allowed here, and kids cannot ride bikes around the campsite either. Quiet time is around 10pm. Small things don't make into big things just be happy and comply 😊 I would choose to come here again again. Thanks Ruakaka beach holiday park for a memorable experience. 😊
V.It's an ok holiday park!! the kitkitchens do not have any utensils, you pay extra for a shower, only one BBQ area with 4 regional park type of grill for all campers, could not find family shower/bathroom. But the area is amazing they have a small playground for kids a few shower and bathroom places.
A.We had a great time camping here. Clean facilities. Great proximity to neighbouring beaches. However, staying here you CONSTANTLY feel like you're going to be told off. This park is very strict. Camp staff literally patrol the place looking for insignificant issues.

S.Fantastic campground, beautiful location, family friendly, close to great beach and a child friendly lagoon. Good facilities with multiple shower/toilet /kitchen blocks all clean and tidy. One of the largest campgrounds around, but it's a huge area so doesn't feel to crowded. Will definitely be back.
J.Bit disappointed that we all took our bikes up and then found out that no bikes are allowed, I feel like this is something that needs to be really highlighted on their website. Great facilities but wouldn't go back with our younger kids as the walk to the actual beach was really long.
S.Good location. This was our first time there. The park was virtually empty. On our final day there was a lot of rain in the morning. I asked if we could leave our camp site just a little later so my children could play on the beach. The response was our check out time is 11am. No compassionate approach to stay a little longer due to the rain. Be aware of places where no movement or consideration is given. Such a shame.
C.Visited a friend who has been camping here. The most beautiful views of the ocean and mountains. Bird life was amazing to see as well as the incoming tide. Ablution facilities really clean too.

A.Fantastic camp grounds! So close to Auckland. Hidden Gem. Staff were friendly and informative. Communication from the park was top notch. Amazing views, right next to the estuary. The estuary is clean and great to swim in. Beach is a few minutes walk, small surf, beautiful white sand, big beach. Few minute walk from the dairy, small selection of booze, bait and bits available. About a 5min drive from a Fresh Choice supermarket where you can get anything you need.
M.Great location, well organised, clean and efficient. Our kids had a great time. My only complaint is that bikes can't be ridden on the grounds for "safety reasons"...not gonna deduct a point this time, but seriously it's time to change the policy guys. Parents are best placed to decide whether it's safe for their kids to ride (as they do at just about every other campground/location in NZ). Adults also increasingly like to ride bikes e.g. motorhome owners often have a couple onboard so they can ride to the shops etc rather than having to drive the motorhome back through the campground and out for a short trip (which is actually more of a safety concern, in my opinion).
K.facilities and location are awesome! however, management are rude and unnecessarily uptight. rules are strange and a strong police/security presence gives off the idea of an unsafe environment within the camping grounds
J.Brilliant camp. The grounds are extremely well maintained and the location stunning. Facilities are clean and every thing works well. Good winter rate special. We stayed 2 weeks. Had a great site in camp 4. loved the location.
L.Loved this Beach park because it was so clean and well appointed. Kitchen with stove and hot plates.
Showers were hot and tokens available at the office. They don't accept coins tokens only for a5 shower. That's plenty of time.
Laundry facilities and clothes line also available.
E.10/10 holiday experience in camp 4. Absolutely stunning views from our tent. Kitchen/bathroom facilities next door and were always clean. Awesome playground for kids. Lovely peaceful atmosphere. Will be back in the summer.
j.Great spot and really great value. We stayed for a couple of nights with the family on a fishing trip. All tide ramp is only a very short drive up the road. Friendly staff and a very chill relaxing vibe about the grounds. Managed to run the battery dead over night on the cadillac some how and was delivered jumper cables to the car to help us out by staff. A+++ from us. Thanks guys will be back again for sure.
C.This was only our second NZ campsite experience, unfortunately new here near as nice in regards to the kitchen and bathroom facilities, the kitchen did not have any utensils (not sure if that is actually normal and the last one we were just lucky) and not even a kettle. The shower block was not very clean at all. However the play areas, camping areas and nearness to the beach definitely redeemed them as they were all very good.

The facilities are very nice but also pretty basic. The stoves in the kitchen are coin operated which I didn't like, (hence the 3 star review) but beyond that everything else was nice.
We went for a walk on the beach and its truly gorgeous at this spot. Definitely worth staying for a night or two.
l.Camped there the last two Easters. Loved it! Great facilities and well kept grounds. An easy walk to the beach and a quick drive to the supermarket for supplies. We camped with another family so 5 kids all up. Hardly sore them and felt safe having them at the playground .
c.Had an awesome couple of days away in our caravan, peaceful and quiet. Very relaxing. Great toilet, shower, kitchen blocks. Property is so pretty.
N.The most amazing setting! If you're looking for a getaway by the beach, then this is definitely the right place. However the amenities are basic.
It was very quiet when we were there, we really only saw one other couple the whole time.
The only downside were the showers. When our family of four arrived for our one night stay, we were given six tokens - good for 30 minutes of cooking or a 5 minutes shower. Unfortunately none of us, including that other couple we ran into, could get more than a tepid shower out of the system.
The kitchen was super clean, but lacked anything beyond hot water, rings to cook on and a fridge.
That being said the views more than made up any downside.
P.One of northlands best campsites, if not the best. Various different camping spots, cabins and caravans. Great for kids, not bad toilets and wash rooms, but a beautiful estuary and beach wow.
However, riding bicycles around the camp is forbidden which seems very over reaching and disappointing.
K.At first I didn't like it but now love coming here it's a big recommend clean big area next to beach depending on what campsite oasis shop next door bbq area just Awesome for family friends or whatever Awesome staff azwell so yeah

C.This is a great camp site, but staff are sticklers for the rules. Don't try to check in before 1pm, there's a swipe card gate system and likely to be no staff in reception.
Worth trying to get a powered site in area 4 in my opinion - overlooks the estuary.

Great options for safe swimming for kids in the tidal estuary. Clean water and nice sand unlike many estuary areas. A ten min walk to main surf beach from the camp ground. The surf beach is beautiful white sand and a very long beach.

M.Good choice of cabins,tents sites with or without power as well as caravan options. Really close to the beach which is handy as well as showers and toilets scattered around the complex. Good family location.
N.Whilst the campsite had a nice relaxed feel in a beautiful location, and nice sized pitches, the facilities were really out of sync with the number of people using them. EG the fridge and freezer on Camp 4 were more suitable for a couple of families, not a site of 45, powered or not. The situation was exaccerbated by the lack of a labelling system. There were just 3 showers too. Maintenance of these facilities fell short of expectations eg dirty fridges and freezers and broken shower door locks. In 2020, there should be recycling facilties for cardboard too! Combined, these things marred the overall experience.
N.Superb location, pretty dear in comparison, paid 34 dollars for an unpowered site which doesnt include showers or kitchen usage, this however can be bought for 60 cent per 5 min shower or 30 min kitchen. Showers and Toilets were clean, toilets were not lockable. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

M.This motorhome park is super clean, and well maintained. I enjoy the white sandy beach. You can walk to the beach from the holiday park. They use tokens for showers, but I find the time is sufficient.

T.Very expensive, you have to pay for everything. Tent for one person without electricity 20$. Strict rules, where and how to build up your tent, must leave at 11am.

D.Really nice holiday park. Office staff very accomadating, we were late arriving but she upgraded us to a site with a better view. Facilities really clean and hot showers.
M.(Translated) I was very lucky to be in an almost empty place in March and to look for a nice place on the beach. This campsite is particularly popular, as you can see in the other photos.
The equipment is not brand new anymore but was completely sufficient. The course itself is quiet and beautifully situated in the bay.
The view and the beach are very nice, especially in the morning. You can collect shells and go for a tide change but be careful when the tide is high!

Ich hatte das große Glück, im März auf einem fast leeren Platz zu sein und mir ein schönes Plätzchen am Strand zu suchen. Dieser Campingplatz ist nämlich besonders beliebt, wie man auf den anderen Fotos sehen kann.
Die Ausstattung ist zwar nicht mehr ganz neu aber war vollkommen ausreichend. Der Platz selbst ist ruhig und schön in der Bucht gelegen.
Ausblick und Strand sind sehr schön, vor allem am Morgen. Man kann gut Muscheln sammeln und gerade zum Gezeitenwechsel spazieren gehen aber Vorsicht bei Flut!
