N.Friendly welcome - very clean and well appointed studio unit. And the hottub was just what we needed to help us relax and unwind.
B.Great location and accommodation. We were able to take our little dog m lovely rooms. Nice managers. There was a leak above our spa that needs addressing. My only complaint is they weren't clear on price. What was emailed and confirmed by the office and what I paid was $44 difference. Doesn't sound like a lot but for us it was on a budget. I did query this and was told it's what they do. I've never paid more than the confirmed booking price before, and we often holiday with our dog at places and mention the dog that when booking.
K.Very friendly service - great for families with pool, play ground & trampoline. Clean & comfortable - very helpful room service (cleaning) team. Some little maintenance issue (windows not shutting completely, spa jets don’t work, some lights out). Our main issue was no aircon - made sleeping a little difficult on the warm summer nights. Overall a pleasant & reasonably comfortable place to stay.
J.Would definitely recommend as a great getaway spot. Close to shops, restaurants and marina. Everything you need in the comfortable unit. Will be back for sure👍
J.Have to say the owner was very welcoming qhen we arrived. As my group had arrived in the evening she had informed me that she had gone in and turned on the heater and closed the blinds for us. It was very clean, modern and relaxing place to stay. I diffantly will go again to stay and highly recommend
J.Great motel to stay during the hot summer months. Big communal pool and not overly warm but who needs extra warmth in the middle of summer anyway! Shallow end for the toddlers (about chest depth on my 3 year olds). Also a playground and trampoline on site for added entertainment.
Our room had a spa bath which you manually fill yourself so you know the water is clean, kids loved it! Daily room service, clean facilities, floors all tiled so easily cleaned (also handy when travelling with young kids), generous sized shower. Laundry on site though it's costly to use $10 for each wash and dry cycle) - that said, when traveling as a family of 5 its probably more sensible to use a laundromat :)
Will definitly stay here again!
A.Awesome facilities in deluxe room, spa bath and jet bath tub in one room with a walk out to the pool. Service was amazing, lovely and easy to deal with, very accommodating people
L.Great ambience and walking distance to town and restaurants. Stayed in the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom unit and felt like we were in our own private Bach. Lovely playground. Would be 5 if there was a free barbeque and better data allowance.
N.Me and my partner stayed over christmas eve. Spacious room. I think we were in room 8. Lovely shower and i loved the private spa as it was big and outdoors. However people would walk around the public pool area and their view would be of our entire private spa area. Not very private at all hence the 4 stars. Overall we loved our stay. The cleaners were quick and very friendly. Thank you.

Very clean and well equipped unit. The kids had great time units are sound proofed I'm sure as I didn't hear anyone else's children.

n.Great place to stay with an amazing spa pool .Owners still quite new .Make sure you keep prices agreed on an email as the lady owner forgot what we agreed on the phone and made up a much higher rate which my husband accidentally paid as we arrived late in the evening.rate on website don't match the rates on the phone .Also 10 percent discount if booked directly as stated on website is not being applied .All sorted at the end so not a big deal,but always ask for an email to confirm your booking.
S.Perfect motel for a family holiday - gorgeous pool area plus awesome playground and trampoline for the kids.
All the rooms have a DVD player and there is a selection of DVDs available at reception, free of charge - a really nice touch.
Didn't want to leave...can't wait to go back!
P.We were here 17 years ago when the hotel was just opening. The plants and trees have grown and the grounds are beautiful. Rooms are spacious, clean, and fully stocked. Pool area is great. Kids love it here! Hosts are gracious and always available to help.
C.Booking.com was more expensive than calling direct to Megan the owner. I have stayed at alot of hotels & this is by far the cleanest & overstocked with condiments. All furniture is modern & beds are comfortable. Spa was hot, pool was clean & refreshing. Children are happy.
A.We have stayed at Breakers many times and have never been disappointed. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The grounds and rooms are always clean and well maintained. It has a big in ground pool, and many of the rooms have an outdoor spa. Massive bbq area and lots of beautiful area to sit and chill out with lots of trees and shade. Definitely will be back again :)
P.Excellent venue, close to the town. Rooms that are large enough. Tiled floors look impressive. Spa pool available, and a good size swimming pool. Very comfortable bed.
A.Went for a staycation.. as I live in Whangamata, but wanted a night away with a spa bath.. the spa, was ok.. but the jets didn't work so kinda defeated the purpose of my stay 😏 could have had a bath for free at home.. so if your going just for a spa bath like I did.. dont accept room number 12. Otherwise it was nice, clean, friendly receptionist.
Just to update, never thought there was an internal bath, I was keen on the spa bath outside the unit as stated on the website I booked on... but with the jets not working on the spa bath I was saying it was like a giant bath. I did also mention this to reception I also told her the cupboards in the bathroom needed attending to as they overlap and didn't close properly.

T.Lovely setting, super helpful management and friendly support staff. Even with a high needs disability lady to support we were impressed at the level of help supplied when requested. Facilities were great. Staying for a week it would have been nice to have an oven, however very few motels do have them.
C.This place was just right for our requirements. Arrived a bit after dark to a very friendly and welcoming receptionplus everything was tidy and very clean.
Will definateĺy use this place again.

S.Our room is very clean. The pool is not heated, but is nice once you get in. The WiFi is free up to 7 days. The location is good. The beach and shopping are within 6 - 12 blocks. The desk staff are very nice. When we had a problem with our WiFi, the problem was corrected immediately. We noticed in the evenings, it is so quiet. We'd come here again.
C.My wife and i and our 2 kids spent last weekend here for the first time, although the wheather was wet and windy, our room was warm very clean and spacious, queen bed super comfy, spa tub we found nice and hot and stayed that way for hours, Ross was very friendly and helpful, look forward to returning.

W.Recommended by #SurfnStayNZ Whangamata, (a surfing hostel). I booked in my mother and two sisters for 5 nights. The suites we're private, spacious and comfortable. The private spa was wonderful. The outdoor pool was enjoyed by many. A cute public BBQ area. Plus on a reserve leading down to the marina - peaceful. Appreciate this if it's News Years Eve.
The owners will do so much to make sure your stay is a good one, thank you. We are happy to recommend this accommodation should you choose to stay in the Coromandel town of Whangamata with it's beautiful beach, surfing kayaking, paddling up rivers or to donut island and of course, let's not forget fishing.
J.Great location. We have a nice room, no view because there are 2 rooms in the motel allowing pets. My service dog was loving the landscaped grounds. I tried to book a second night, but they're full.....they won't accommodate us in a 3rd room even though the hotel is empty. I was educated about allergies etc.by the manager. However, all of these rooms are tile and no carpet. We've recently stayed at Chateau Tongariro, Paihia Beach Resort and Spa, Te Kahu....$250 to $499 per night for the past few weeks all of the staff recognized us and greeted our dog by first name. We've never felt so welcome. The best hotels are the most accommodating. Taupo Suncoast. Te Pehu Tavern$200 nightly.....so you get my drift..... it's not about allergies.
For example, you wear a sweater and it has some dog hair.....does it just disappear! Ha! Think about this while traveling public transit. Then spa tub was covered as we arrived but still required cleaning. The manager is friendly and the hotel needs to update it's service dog policy.
Hopefully, Breakers will get it right eventually.
