Absolutely loved our stay here. Wifi & Speed was amazing. Clean & awesome facilities. Awesome activities rain or shine. My kids enjoyed exploring the bush trail it backs onto. Claire is so lovely, welcoming and informative. Thank you for sharing with us some history of the town (those things you can only learn from locals 🥰) We were so fortunate to be given two spaces for our time here as it was vacant the two nights we stayed made parking easy. My kids ended up minding an adorable 4 year a couple times... we kept finding the poor wee guy wondering on his own. Parents, caregivers please be mindful no 4 year old should be off on their own especially with the cars in and out. Everyone was lovely so he had eyes watching him but its not up to them to keep him safe or my son to take him to the toilet. Thank you Whangarei Top10 holiday park we will be back 😊

This camping ground was a huge surprise to us. Small and quiet backing on to a bush reserve, yet very handy to town. Great facilities and ablution block was absolutely fabulous. Clearly the best we have experienced.

We were very pleased with our stay at Top 10 Whangarei clean bathrooms and toilets handy to town and amenities lots of room for our caravan.

Great place to stay if your in town no matter the occasion.

Absolutely enjoyed our “emergency” overnight stay. Welcomed by the lovely Petrina, facilities were spotless, & we were lucky to have a peaceful night in our campervan. Will definitely go back again. Thankyou 🙌🏼

A small park. Friendly welcome on arrival, helpfull people. Decent size RV spots. We were placed next to the bbq area, wouldn't recommend, especially when people decide to have their dinner at 9pm... There was a nice trampoline and a little playground for our 3yo. She liked the Fussball table. All amenities were available (kitchen, laundry, showers and toilets). The showers were fine, but the temperature dial was difficult to set on the right temperature. Toilets were clean. One thing a couldn't understand was: that the rules said there were absolutely no pets allowed on the park, but there were several dogs when we stayed there. Did the rules change or are dogs not considered pets anymore? Overall a fine stay. Wouldn’t recommend walking to the Town Basin, because its along a busy road.

I've been here b4 and service is awesome and cabins and vacilities clean and fresh scented thanks to nick who waited for us to arrive after hours and the lovely lady with the coloured hair ,must be a hairstylist somewhere,was very kind and helpful thanx 2 you and very reasonable prices well-done Top 10!!!!

This is the second time we have stayed. The staff are lovely. The 2 bedroom cabin was perfect for a family of 4. We love staying here with so much to see and do in and around Whangarei. There is a fantastic Thai restaurant walking distance. The walk through the bush at the bottom of the park is stunning. A great relaxing place to enjoy.

I really loved this place! We only stayed one night, but we had a good experience. Great location; the lady at reception was super welcoming and helpful. Facilities are excellent, bathrooms were spotless and that it's weird to find. Pet-friendly, yay! You have a bush-walk at the back of the campsite that leads to a little park with a playground and, if you want, keep going down another bush walk to reach the river and enjoy the nature. Very pleased with it.

Excellent experience thank you. Really friendly communication before arrival, including needing to shift our booking. All staff were friendly and approachable. Clean tidy facilities, including recycling and food scrap composting bins (this is awesome!). And magic backdrop of native bush made birdlife and song a lovely addition. Would happily stay again.

Accommodating, affordable and well managed. Thank you for a wonderful 2 weeks. The site is quiet, surprisingly without traffic sounds considering the central location. A short walk to all the shops and a slightly longer stroll into the middle of town. If you roll out of bed too quickly you'll find yourself down at the picturesque river and swimming hole. Well worth the stay and highly recommended. Best holiday park experience to date.

Cleanest place I have stayed in my life including hotels. Very important in these times.

If I could score more than 5 I would! We had a nightmare day of around 8 hours driving in our clunky campervan, 3 hours in the pitch black and rain, getting taken the wrong way by our counterfeit GPS system. We knew we'd be late (closes at 8pm) but hoped for the best, and were met with an empty reception. Luckily for us us, staff member Kate had left our welcome info cellotaped to reception door so we could still stay at this holiday park. If it weren't for this, we'd have been freedom camping god-knows-where! The facilities are great but the kindness of the staff after such a hectic day won't be forgotten! Thank you to all the staff here for creating a safe and clean place for us to stay!

We paid a few visits, while the wife's parents stayed here. This was their first experience staying in a camping ground, for many years. They will certainly be back. They were delighted with the location, with bush, river and numerous walking trails on their doorstep. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the facilities and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We has a great bbq dinner in the communal bbq area, the covered bbq and tables saving the day when the rain poured down! Highly recommended!

The Top 10 Whangarei Holiday Park was a delightful stay, with staff that are (arguably) the most friendly from anywhere across NZ! I recently stayed at the Top 10 Whangarei, and was delighted by the customer service, despite the country being in a state of flux (following COVID levels reducing to L3), their service was second to none. All safety procedures were being followed and strictly applied for the well being of all. I stayed on following levels reverting to L1, and standards remained at exceptional levels. The toilets, bathrooms and showers were clean on all occasions. Bins were never left to get full or have items around them and the grounds were kept neat and tidy. The facilities at the Top 10 include the obvious (showers, toilets, powered sites, cabins and tents) a TV / Reading room, a games room and on site laundry facilities. There are covered BBQ areas, kids playground trampoline (The later, all admittedly facilities I didn't use). Proximity to town is excellent, a short stroll downhill to the town basin and then a seemingly longer stroll following a few too many glasses of wine with dinner back! What sets this place apart is the friendly service. Never too much trouble seems to be their motto. Nick and Claire (the owners) are lovely people and have created a great atmosphere, culture and have an awesome team. Cannot rate highly enough.

Peaceful surroundings and handy to the bush walk to Mair park. Very clean amenities block. Great to see ingenuity regarding alert level 2 with spray bottles of disinfectant available for campers to use in all areas. Easy to use dump station for motorhomes grey and black water. Free hot showers. Great special currently for couples, $16 per night, for powered site.

Excellent hosts. Shelley is wonderfully friendly and extra helpful with places to see and things to do. Runs an excellent campground. What a shame they're leaving.

Excellent place here has all amenities a camper or holiday maker needs to have a comfortable great experience in the north.Well worth staying here and not to mention so close to supermarkets,city centre,the newly built hunder Weiser art Centre,town basin where you get the best fruit smoothies that truely feel like their healthy.Friendly amazing staff and owners that help you out and make you feel extra welcome.Well done top 10 Whangarei big thumbs up.

Still here, and it was so good i had to write the review now! Wow, what a great park. Clean, friendly, well laid out and with the right amenities. Owner was very friendly and helped us out in getting in the best spot for our family of 4. He took into account our needs and suggested a great spot. And wifi. Wow. Yeah sure places have unlimited 'wifi', but really, how good is it going to be? Go stand on one leg by the office and you might get a half strength signal? Not here, Here it is AMAZING. I am almost as far from the office as possible, and have had 2 uninterputed video calls through my laptop. I did not expect this. I knew i had to work for a bit and was dreading it, but it has been so easy to get on and stay on the wifi. I am very impressed. Thank you! You have set a new expectation for holiday park wifi access!! Like if helpful!

Friendly staff, very clean modern facilities. Due to heavy rain some grass sites muddy. Handy for the CBD and walking tracks from the site.

My family and I had the pleasure of stopping here with our self contained campervan, Heaps of powered sites and they also have cabins too, prices range accordingly, they were super accommodating! They have grey water and waste deposit facilities they have everything you are looking for! We made a booking and turned up late they still took us in! The toilets are clean and tidy, a godsend when your travelling with girls, we were very happy with choosing top10. If you're up this way and looking for a place to park this is a stop that you should consider, 5 minutes off state highway 1. So good so happy! Thanks top 10! Number one in our books!

Stayed a couple nights, Amazed how clean they keep it very thorough. They also have a play area for the children. I recommend staying here.

Super quiet location, next to the National Park with own access. Abt 30min walk up to the hill for having a great view of the whole town. Best thing have to say is the staff are very nice and friendly, provided so much valued information made our even one night stay more than worthy. Not only the surroundings but also visiting sites. Camping facility are also well equipped and very clean. Highly recommended.

Been here for a second time and both stay are good. The cabins are great, not too big but enough for a group of 6 (what we rented this time). There are powered sites and tent area, TV lounge and a non paid shower which was really awesome because there is no time limit for the hot shower though I'll recommend saving water. Communal kitchen with fridge. You should make sure of your booking as not all cabins have its own toilet and sink. There is nothing much to see if that is your preference as its within the bushes.

One of the best Top 10 Holiday Park. Small but very neat, calm and full of facilities. Being small it feels not crowded so it was good. We enjoyed our 2 night stay there. The owner was very informative and very good person to have a chat about the local details. We would surely return to this place if we happen to visit north and also would recommend to others.

Great central location with a rural feel, so close to nature yet walking distance to town, a huge thanks to our wonderful host with the most Claire who made us feel so welcome we decided to stay a couple more nights and sign up as a Top 10 member!

Nice tidy room, very cosy, nice people, highly recommended

Compared with other top 10, this is a small one. Although a little small, it is very warm and friendly. There are many tracks around and you can walk to the waterfall. It is a very good place to stay for a few days.

Took us in at short notice. Got a cabin overnight, affordable and quiet. Facilities very clean, lots of room in communal areas such as wash rooms and kitchens. Staff are very friendly, gave us lots of recommendations for things to do in the area, as well as local walks. Highly recommend, great place to stay on holiday.

Lovely setting, backing onto native bush. Nice unit. Good parking. Play area for children. Very handy to city centre. We have stayed there several times before. Never been disappointed.

Really nice campsite, clean, well located close to town however still very calm . Free unlimited wifi (as it should be wifi is not a luxury anymore!!), And unlimited showers. Staff is super friendly and helpful .Nice tv room to chill in. The only bad thing that I can say is that they closed the tv room with my phone and powerbank charing inside at 9pm. I hoped to watch a movie from 9pm. I thought with the camera and no sign of a closure time it was open all night. I understand that they have to close it at sometime but it's sad there is not an obvious paper on the door idicating when it closes, leading to my stuff being inside charging and not being accessible.

WOW. What a great experience. TT10 Whangarei just made our trip. From all the amazing activities, the bush walk at the back door, the Aquatic Centre (love the bathing hats-retro flowers and all), the friendly and relaxing campers and the resident artist. The facilities were clean, well maintained and beyond what you would expect from a TT10. But what really I'd like to comment on was the perfect and friendly hosting by Claire and Nick and also their team. And thank you for allowing us to share the excitement of your award win.

My go to place to stay for a budget cabin. This place is friendly, very clean and quiet. Lowest cabins even include flat screen TV. No hesitation recommending. All the facilities are here and pricing sharper than most.

Great location and lots of fun for kids. However, we were settled a tent site without clearly giving site number by staff just because there was a long queue of client waiting. It’s weird.

Very tidy campsite with clean and looked after facilities. Safe for kids to roam around and play at the trampoline or playground. Peddle go carts were the kids favourite.

Great holiday park. Very clean and quiet with great IAC wifi for travellers. The communal spaces are well-laid out and convenient. It was quite busy when we went but was still quite peaceful. Conveniently located for walks to Whangerei falls and other scenic walks.

We were very impressed with the level of service at Whangarei Holiday Park. The staff were welcoming and friendly and gave us a a leaflet about various eateries. The accomodation was clean and a reasonable price. We would definately consider coming back to this park.

This is positioned right against a beautiful green belt and you can walk to town following a local trail. The tent spaces are a bit cramped but it was really nice.

This was my first visit to a Top 10 Holiday Park. I recommend visiting camping facility. The campsite had facilities such as kitchen, power, water, internet etc. Included contained units as well as campsites.

March 2022. We absolutely 💯 love, love, loved it here. From the moment we arrived. We were welcomed by Claire an exceptional, friendly owner. Then later we met her husband and staff who never faulted with their impeccable service. Clean and tidy facilities. Pet friendly a massive plus as we travelled with our 2 fur babies. We stayed for 7 days. Our daughter and granddaughter stayed overnight (their first time doing this) and thoroughly enjoyed their experience here in their cabin. We have nothing but praise for Claire and her team. We are definitely coming back. We are also Top 10 Holiday Park Members thank you Claire. This Holiday Park deserves a Top 10 star rating.

Nice tidy camp. Quite small. Friendly hosts and good facilities. Reasonable distance to town center, 3 minutes by car, maybe 20 on foot. Good walking/biking tracks from the camp

Short and very sweet. My daughter and I came for one night to celebrate my nieces bday. The owners, Claire and Nick are so lovely and kind. Our cabin was very cute, had all the essentials, clean linen, very warm and sound proof from outside, very comfy beds and immaculately clean room. The kitchen, bathroom area are always so clean and shower had amazing water pressure. The extra touches with a games room and the tv room are very unique. Cannot wait to come and stay again. They even ask if we need anything else :-) how luxurious do you want it? Toilets, shower and grounds are also very clean. It is really quiet in the evenings after 10 o'clock! Blessed! In short .. recommended! 😄 And the people (owner and staff) are also very friendly! (Original) Het is een prachtige camping hier! Wij hebben een huisje gehuurd en alle faciliteiten zijn ruimschoots aanwezig! Schoonmaak is perfect! Ze komen zelfs tussendoor vragen of we nog iets nodig hebben :-) hoe luxe wil je het hebben? Toiletten, douche en terrein zijn ook erg schoon. S avonds na 10 uur is het ook écht stil! Zalig! Kortom.. aanrader! 😄 En de mensen ( eigenaar en personeel) zijn ook bijzonder vriendelijk!
