Z.Prime position with unobstructed panoramic east-facing views of Mercury Bay. The manager's greeting was genuinely friendly and helpful. We stayed three nights over Christmas 2020 in Unit 209 which was huge. The bathroom was cavernous and the shower water pressure amazing - stand back when you turn it on!
Good sized fridge with separate freezer compartment if you need to store food for an extended stay.
This place would have been very high-end when it was built, but some of the fixtures & fittings are getting a little tired now. That said, we found it excellent - clean, with very comfortable super-king size bed and plenty of pillows. Wifi worked well after a brief false start which only required a modem reset to fix. Heat pump worked well.
Pool will be very much enjoyed in the summer months. Off-street parking is great. Tariff is very reasonable.
We will definitely be back.

The view from the room is stunning. Eating brekkie in the enclosed deck with windows wide open was just the perfect start to our day .
Pleasant experience ! The young man at reception (sorry didnt get his name) was so helpful with all the questions we had.

S.A little far to walk from bars. Staff were lovely. I found it more a three star place. No bedside lamps, soap and shampoo delivered by tap. Rangehood over stove greasy dirty, I could see ducting for air conditioning unit running along top of cabinet's. Would stay again but would look at other options before booking.
T.Absolutely a beautiful place to stay. Nice and clean, the sea view and the swimming pool was perfect. We had a great time during the Labour long weekend. Great host and a lovely couple Mit & Nikita. Will definitely spread the word and recommend to others. We will be back 😃

k.Wonderful place to stay. The new owners of only 2 wks are eager hear what to customers say and go the extra mile. The spa was great, the beach is right across the road. The room was exactly as shown in the pictures. The bed was perfect. The tv was a brilliant size. Looking forward to going back again.

J.We had such a beautiful room and the staff were super friendly. Giant King bed that was super comfy and the pillows were a dream. The pool was right out our front door and was so refreshing in the summer heat. Beautiful Buffalo beach right across the road, we enjoyed a stroll on the sand and a quick paddle.

G.Beautiful views of Buffalo Beach with large balconies from all of the rooms, handy small kitchens, and great service. The breakfast included at a great restaurant in town is a treat as well. This makes up for the odd and dated decor, and 25 minute walk to town. With a thoughtful room renovation this place would be a real gem.
M.Beautiful, spacious, luxurious and Anna on reception - gorgeous! V.helpful in organising our package deal. Only negatives mini bar drinks not placed in fridge well so one fell out and had to drink lol, also decorative pillows on bed didn't look that clean... otherwise amazing accommodation for a great weekend away
T.The place looked like the photos, good photos, good in real life. Peaceful, nice waterviews, easy to find. Great breakfast and very accommodating for food allergies. Would definitely go back again next time we are here.
P.Friendly staff, and good location- short walk from Whitiangi town. There are no shops (dairy etc) within a 500m radius, so bear that in mind.
Older place, tidy, but a little run down.
Pool was clean and so were rooms, and decent enough value for location.

R.A beautiful view of Mercury Bay!
Room was dated and in need of upgrading! Simple things annoyed us like the plug did not fit the spa bath so the water emptied out quickly, one bathrobe was dirty with food spilled down the front, no plug for the kitchen sink, no dish cloth or tea towel to do dishes and the room was not automatically serviced. You had to put a tag on the door asking for this. Our tag we found later under the tea bag tray.
There was no usual folder of procedures or list of restaurants etc. This was not helpful for holidaymakers new to a town!
Worst of all the lodge was marketed as five star accommodation on our booking site which it clearly isn't. We paid a five star rate for a room we would consider a 3 star at most! We feel rather ripped off!
R.What a lovely place! Nice, modern rooms that were clean. The views from the 2nd FL units can't be beat and that morning sunrise is dope! Really friendly service that made us feel right at home. I wish we could've stayed longer, would definitely stay again.

R.The rooms are a bit dated but well presented and clean and that's the only negatives. The beds are firm and comfortable, there is a decent sized fridge you rarely find in a motel and the view, the website doesnt do it justice as a picture can't no matter how good.

J.This place is great, it has very nice rooms for famiy members, free wifi, great showers, very clean. The only problem I ran into were the blinds as they have a stupid design and just don't work properly and proper curtains would be better off. I am still very happy with the motel and I havn't run into any other problems. 10/10 would come here again.

M.We stayed here for two days over Christmas holiday. Our room was ready upon arrival and was just beautiful, clean, and organized with a well stocked kitchen. Our view of Mercury Bay was spectacular and this was the only place we stayed where there was a heated pool. The place was right across the street from the beach and bike path and minutes away from town. Though it was on the highway, the noise was not noticeable with the glass door closed. There were bikes to borrow and a comfortable place in the office to go where the internet was better than in the room. The owner and staff were good people and fun to talk with. Definitely a fine place to consider when booking.

M.The price was a bit steep we thought and the reception service probably needed someone more experienced and well presented, but the room was comfortable and very spacious. We also found that we could hear everything from the adjoining room throughout the night and early in the morning.
D.A great rate for a very quiet and comfortable nights sleep. A fabulous view of the sunset and sunrise with the beach across the road.

I was there only for one night and regretted not been able to stay more. Just the rooms were amazing. Imacutately clean, big and with nice views. The staff is really friendly and helpful. I forgot my kindle and they sent it to my next destination.. so nice!!! The area is really great but even better been able to do that great walk/run in the morning from the lodge to town.
