Amazing customer service! I originally ordered two pairs of glasses with a prescription from a different optometrist. When the new glasses arrived it was clear the other optometrist's prescription was not right for me, so without any fuss or hassle the amazing staff at the Bailey Nelson Albany store helped me get everything sorted. I am very grateful for their 30 day guarantee, as this could have been a very costly and troublesome ordeal. Thanks again to the amazing team. I am definitely coming back again.

The staff and onsite service is good, the 2 pairs classes all are good. I ordered 2 pair glasses on Sunday, after 2 hours i want change one of two to the tint class, then i was told by the staff that order can't be change because they have put the it to the system. I would understand if the glass already under producing, but can't get why can't change the order if nothing happen yet.

>I specifically asked the people at Albany to send my order to Takapuna for pick up. >I watched them write that detail down. >2 weeks later I get a text saying it’s ready for pick up at Albany? >They then had to send it off to Takapuna after I called them up about it. I’m thankful it was only 1 day later that it arrived at Takapuna, but on top of that, 1 of my pair of glasses had a strange large oil spot on it; it could only be removed with an alcohol swab. I’d think it’d be obvious enough for the QC from BN to check that beforehand? Other than those issues, it’s still my go to place.

Best consultation I have ever had, even from my hospital specialists. Got shown the photographic imaging of my eyes and the surgery I had done 14 years ago was explained to me via the eye model. Didn't feel rushed to make my frame selection. First time here. Definitely be going back. Update: Back again this year. Ordered new frame and spare sunniest. Always pleasant and helpful. I feel I'm in good hands. Takes all the stress and panic away in the entire process and makes it exciting and enjoyable - and I haven't had that before from any Optician! Prices reasonable. Couldn't ask for more. I've got a warm fuzzy feeling as I write this. 😀

Visited this store for an eye test for myself, and my granddaughter who is 7. Our experience was amazing! The optometrist we saw, Michael, was so patient and great with my granddaughter and I. He spoke clearly and explained everything very well. The front staff were also so friendly and helpful. I would most definitely recommend this store!! 10/10.

First time using this company in Albany and was super impressed with their customer service. I picked up my new glasses and being new to the lens found it really difficult to adjust, however, the lenses were adjusted and told that after a month I could have them changed to normal reading glasses, at no cost if still unhappy. Not normally one to write a review but I’m so very impressed with Bailey Nelson! The optometrist I saw was Michael and I can’t thank him enough! Everything was explained so thoroughly and he really took his time, I did not feel rushed at any point which previously at Specsavers this was the case. Any concerns or questions I asked were answered and I really appreciate that! The front staff were equally as helpful! I was initially helped by Luke, who took his time trying to find the perfect frame. This process for the first time, thanks to Luke, was fun and exciting. The range in store is so diverse and I really loved that the glasses weren’t organised based on gender! I couldn’t decide between two and I suggested that I’d like to think on it and come back he did not pressure to buy on the day, which was such a relief! I came back a week later and again a warm, positive welcome by a different staff member, Cassey. She helped me find the frames again and talked through all the pricing, explaining every step along the way! She gave a very personal touch to the service which was what got me over the line and I ended up getting both pairs at a great price! I can’t thank the team enough. Every step was easy, the glasses are affordable and the team provide a personal, warm and welcoming service! Can’t recommend them enough! I will be back for more pairs soon enough!

This was my first time here having previously used a well known/well advertised optometrist group. I loved my experience at Bailey Nelson. The staff were superb....so helpful in choosing frames after having an excellent experience with the optician. I loved the individual service from all, and didn’t feel “just a number”. They do a great job of it, but I have to commend the guy who checked mom's vision, mom forgot his name but he introduced himself to us, which is what I expect any pro would do in the first instance. He is very friendly, very thorough, and explained everything without the need to prompt for explanations. He is what I expect of professionals. Excellent job! I also liked one of the ladies working at the shop, dealing with payments and customers, she is very friendly, and would make sure whether or not you have been attended to or not, and will give you a copy or your prescription without prompts either even if you're not buying a new frame, like some other optometrist shops do. So, 2 out of the rest stood out for me and should be the ones to look out for when u go to their shop in Westfield Albany and so far, no hard sell which was great!

The team at Albany were absolutely fantastic they went above and beyond normal customer service. My glass frame broke it two when I was cleaning them. So they said bring them in and they'd have a look. Although the frame was over 12 months old they replaced the frame immediately and swapped the lenses over within 20 minutes and also gave me a new case and cleaning cloth. I will recommend that store without a doubt.

I claim my glasses through my health insurance and the staff always sort out the claim right away and help me get as much out of my insurance allows each year. There’s also so many options for frames and styles and a much cheaper price than other optometrists

During the last year it has been necessary for me to visit Bailey Nelson in Albany,Ponsonby and High Street, My experience was Professional, informative, helpful, friendly, optometrists and Staff booking appointments and choosing frames for my glasses.One day whilst shopping in Albany Westfield Mall - I had an issue with my eyes I called into Bailey Nelson Optometrist and after 2 appointments that day, with treatment from the optometrist I went home feeling so looked after and relaxed. The optometrist went out of her way to help get the medication I required. The advice and outcome from all my visits/appointments has been awesome, I would like to add if you are looking to update your glasses they have a really cool selection of frames.

Great team and was very helpful. I kinda knew what i wanted but was not totally sure. Staff member was super helpful. Got eyes tested also. Would just have to say that I thought the glasses I choose were 175 as did say that what I wanted to spend. Once at counter was charged more and seemed weird that everything they were up selling me on would be $60 including different leanses strengths and was going to be 60 to get blue light cover on them. A good idea when you send out a receipt would be to put the actual price I paid for items on it as prices for things were very different.

I’ve just picked up my new glasses from the Albany branch, and they are just wonderful! I needed progressive lenses and added the sun glass option. They only took a week to be made, and the staff couldn’t have been nicer, and I was very pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced they were! All in all I highly recommend them.

I always pass by Bailey Nelson and one day thought of dropping by to have my eyes checked since they were due for an update check up -happy that I did 😊 The optometrist who did my eye check up was Anna Joplin. She was very pleasant and made the process quick and easy. The staff who did my initial eye check up was also very good. The staff who helped me find eyeglasses that would suit me was also nice and helpful. She mentioned other options i could try and didn't pressure me into getting sunnies which was good unlike other optical shops. I am keen on coming back and getting another pair soon.

First time at BN, great to get a free eye test and some good advice from the optometrist (don't rush into buying new progressive lenses, better to try to get used to my previous ones first). Prices on reading glasses all very reasonable, and I was able to take my time and get good advice on choosing frames. Only disappointment was the range of frames and colours available in store which is limited at present due to supply chain disruptions with Covid - 19. Everything else was great.

I had the pleasure of having my free eye test at Albanys Bailey Nelson. The optometrist was warm and hospitable and the staff who helped me pick my frames were super patient and honest with me. I was in there for over an hr, so promise me when I say they have an array of glasses to choose from. Pricing, well, I walked away with 2 sets of glasses and a clip on to change my everyday glasses, into sunglasses! With spending half, yes HALF, the amount on optics, than I have been at OPSM in the past. Also, I have to credit the overall atmosphere the store holds. It is very clean and is something I have never quite experienced. It doesnt feel like your in an everyday store. The customer service was spot on, but the customer care was also evident too. I definitely get that mistakes happen but I ordered some contact lenses and requested that they be delivered to a different address as I had moved (they said it wasn’t a problem and wrote down the new address). 15 minutes after leaving the store, I was called and told they undercharged me, meaning I had to go back and pay the difference. Today, I’ve just found out they delivered my contact lenses to my old address. [edited] changed my 2 star review to a 4 star as someone rung me to apologise. They didn’t ask me to change the review (they said they want to be transparent, which is great) but I like how they took the time to ring me up personally and talk about the situation.

After a very disappointing customer service experience at the recently refurbished and newly staffed OPSM in Albany (where I have been a customer for many years), I approached Bailey Nelson for an eye test and review of my contact lens prescription. MADE THE SWITCH TO BAILEY NELSON. NEVER LOOKING BACK!!! I've gone and added Blue Light lenses this time, given the amount of screen time I have. Getting used to that little bit of blue that shows up sometimes on the lenses, depending on what I'm looking at. I can't see it whilst wearing the glasses, but others can when looking at me.
