I can't say enough good things about my experience with Betty. Her dedication to her patients is unparalleled, and her expertise in optometry is outstanding. She always goes above and beyond to help me out. Every visit, I am impressed by how the entire team are so a warm and friendly. The atmosphere shows how much they care about their clients. Always greeting me with a smile. Their customer service is top-notch; they consistently go above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my visit is seamless and enjoyable. From answering my questions to accommodating my needs, they make the process incredibly easy. I would give them more than five stars if I could! Highly recommended! Thanks so much for everything.

I have been going to Pakuranga Optometrists for decades now, and despite living far from New Zealand for a long time, these people are my go-to for eye care every year I return, because they are so good. Firstly the service is exemplary, with real care and attention shown to every facet of my eye care. Meticulous records and photos of my eyes are maintained, and each year I get clear and detailed explanations of any changes, and a report on my overall eye health. I know that they have caught problems with my family early on, and I can't recommend them enough for this alone. But also the personal service in helping choose glasses and frames is also exemplary - I think I am probably a tricky customer to deal with, because they have a very short time to deal with any changes to my prescription, but every time they go the extra mile to help me - it is super personalised service, always with a smile and helpful advice (including making sure the glasses actually suit me!). To Simon and Alice and the team - I can't recommend you highly enough, and I can see from the reviews here I am not alone in thinking this.

I first went to Pakuranga Optometrists about 6 months ago, and I am so glad I chose them. I have met all the staff who are really friendly, but I dealt mainly with Alice the practice manager, because my prescription is definitely not run of the mill. She is an absolutely lovely lady and really knowledgeable . I can honestly say she went beyond what I expected in order to help, but everyone there were just great. I recently got my first pair of progressive lenses here, after putting it off for years because people told me how hard it is to adapt. But they did such a brilliant job with my prescription and measurements that I had no trouble at all and was fully operational straight away, much to my delight. I also have to mention how patient and incredibly helpful Alice was when i was choosing the frames. She gave me great advice and i just love my new specs. I recently returned to Lowes Taaffe & Bhikoo after trying a more "budget" service which left me dissatisfied and with poor vision. LT&B corrected my prescription, diagnosed an underlying issue and booked me into medical services, and gave frank and friendly advice on the style of glasses that would suit me best. Such a pleasant, efficient experience, I can't recommend them highly enough.

I was after a new optometrist, have tried spec savers and opsm previously and had average experiences, this was a total cut above and was a great appointment! Simon was comprehensive, explained everything clearly, and had up to date equipment (no frightening tonometry eye pressure check, I barely felt the pressure test). Betty helped greatly with frame selection, she has a great eye for styles and is very patient. Will be recommending to family and friends, personalised and quality experience, outstanding!

My son (just turned 16yrs) was due a vision recheck. He also wanted contact lenses. Previously did not experience great service at the Spec Saver branch at the Plaza so was loathe to go back. I choseLowes, Taffe and Bhiko as his Big Sister had gone there when she was young and we had not issues. The service we got was fantastic. The optometrist was super thorough and the front of house staff were very attentive, teaching my son how to insert contacts. Then they gave by son free sample lenses initially so he could get used to wearing them and see which kind was ok, before we they sold us a full 3 months supply. The optometrist requested multiple checkups to ensure my son was ok before he agreed to sell him contact lenses. Costs were way less than I expected... so I am VERY VERY happy.. highly recommend.
