Everything at revision from start to finish was amazing! I had such a good time chatting away to all the lovely nurses it made me feel in good hands. Thank you to Dr Gray I now have perfect vision. I already knew firsthand the exceptionally high quality of Trevor and Mo's surgical & periprocedural care and their attention to detail, so I was happy to trust them with my eyes. I had an amazing experience with the team at Re: vision. The team is not only professional but also lovely and friendly. I started wearing my glasses at age 8 and using contact lenses later so I lived with corrections in my eyes for 28 years! Not anymore. It was a very great experience with Dr Trevor Gray and his team at Re:Vision. The doctor, nurses and Susan were very considerate and nice. During the operation, a nurse was holding my hand, and another nurse accompanied my friend outside watched the operation and to explain the whole operation process. The medical team was great! Been there to see if I'm good enough for lasik. They check my eyes and said I'm good candidate for it. They are highly specialised in what they are doing. Wearing glasses for nearly 17 years and was sick of having to wear them I was scared that it will having pain and lots of dry eyes and tears but nothing happened at all. It goes so smooth that I didn't feel anything and lady who hold my hand they put specially effects while doing Lasik. No pain at home didn't even take Panadol or sleeping pills. Great satisfying services, awesome friendly staff, very safe and trustworthy treatments. I had an smart surface prk laser treatment for my both eyes a year ago. And my vision improved way better than expected which is 16/20. I used my prescription glasses for 15 years and this is my first year of without glasses due to the treatment which I had with the revision mt Wellington with doctor MO and the team. Over a month ago I finally got my (belated) 35th birthday present :) after several rescheduling (due to pandemic) my Eye Laser Surgery pushed through at last and couldn't be happier. The team from Re:Vision @re.vision_nz was outstanding from consultation, procedure and follow ups. Front of the house, nursing staff, technicians, optometrists and doctors are truly outstanding. Dr Mo Ziaei was nothing short of amazing. He was very gentle and professional. Talking to me through the whole procedure to ease my anxiety and make me feel at ease. I can't believe that the procedure itself only lasted for 15-20minutes and the whole team was really warm and supportive that Kyomi even held my hand the whole time to reassure me that everything will be fine. My experience at Re: Vision has been absolutely above and beyond what you could possibly expect or want from a team of healthcare professionals. I have, in some ways, procrastinated writing a review because I was not certain that I would be eloquent enough or whether words would ever be enough to express all my gratitude. I met the team as a final year medical student three years ago. From age 10 to 28, I lived my life as a high myope (-7 and -8). I visited multiple LASIK centres including overseas, only to pull out at the last minute. However, something always drew me back to Re: Vision. I was able to undergo LASIK by Dr Mo on 2nd July 2021. Word travels fast in the medical world and Dr Mo is the surgeon that other doctors recommend to other doctors. To quote another specialist eye doctor, Dr Mo is 'the best eye surgeon in New Zealand.' I was incredibly well looked after- from Olenka who noticed that I hadn't had any lunch to Kyomi who held my hand during the procedure to Anna who checked my eyes and Veronica who helped me get into touch with other patients of Dr Mo to hear their experience. Thanks Fiona for adjusting my cap to make sure I was as comfortable as possible! I also have to mention Nick, who is the most professional, knowledgeable and patient optometrist and clinical director. I took up so much of Nick's time with my endless questions and indecisiveness and he was nothing but gracious in his response. I must go down as the most neurotic patient in the history of Re: Vision and Nick managed me so well. As well as having the best surgeons, Nick sets Re: Vision apart to be the leading centre that it is today with such a huge base of highly satisfied patients. Nick, I truly owe all this to you and thank you so much for going above and beyond for me.

I got my Lasik done last Friday with Dr Mo. absolutely fantastic experience, all the way from initial visit for eye check with great welcome from all the nurses to pre-surgery meet up with Dr Mo and finally the surgery day. Everyone at Revision is super nice and supportive, they always try to give you as much info about anything eye related so you can make the best decision. Dr Mo is great with his knowledge and skill and he helped me with a stress free, pain free and successful surgery. I now have 21/20 vision. Absolutely love it.

One week post surgery and I have no words to say how life changing it is not to have to constantly hunt down my glasses! I was terrified of having the surgery so I put if off for months, having now had it I realise how wrong I was! Such a pleasant experience. I was the driver for my husband and he said it was like visiting a first class hotel where he was treated like a VIP. He said the procedure didn't hurt and only "tickled a bit". By day 3 his vision in his right eye has dramatically improved and he's had to take the lense out of his glasses. He's looking forward to his other eye being done so that he can be glasses-free for the first time in 52 years! Very impressed that they collect un-needed glasses, which are then taken over to the islands where their surgeons donate their time and equipment to remove cataracts.

Despite being in Level 3, the whole process was managed very well, from checking into the Reception to Surgery. However, there was quite a bit of a wait time (~1 hour ) to recheck all my measurements which were done in March 2021. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. During my time there, I met with the Ophthalmic Technician, Susan and Dr Mo. The procedure was very clearly and thoroughly explained to me with any of my concerns/ queries answered. Dr Mo was also very kindly offered to suggest Ophthalmic for me to visit going forward as I have just relocated to Auckland. During my surgical procedure, the nurse made sure I was comfortable and gave me an overview of what is to happen before and after alongside with some medication prior to surgery. Everything was very well organised. The thing I really appreciated most was having someone to hold my hand during the procedure, although I was not scared at all but this was comforting. It was very thoughtful. My aftercare experience was also amazing. I was carefully directed out to a chair to be seated comfortably while enjoying a glass of sparkling water, pretzels and chocolate. Dr Mo also texted me that night to check I was ok, which I did not see till the next morning as I was meant to keep my eyes closed all night. The next day I went back to check my eyes and had my concerns with my vision (slight double vision) but the team and Dr Mo reassured me that it is normal in the beginning during the healing process. The team at Re:Vision is very experienced and helpful. I am so happy I made the decision to get LASIK. For the first time in 20 years, I wake up and can see the time on the wall clock :)

A month ago I got a LASIK surgery for a high myopia (almost -8 in one eye) and I can say that I'm totally satisfied with the process and the results. Recently had laser vision correction done with Dr Trevor Gray and his team - stoked with my new eyesight, but also really happy with the customer service I received. Dr Trevor Gray had been recommended by a friend who had also had her eyes fixed by him so I booked a consultation thinking “maybe one day, but I’m not sure I could go through with it.” After talking through everything with Nick at the consultation, I left the clinic feeling really comfortable with the idea of laser and that this is the place to do it. Booked it in. I was pretty nervous on the day and the team were so understanding and good to me. The doctor talked to me the whole way through the procedure and was super calming. Kyomi held my hand through. All smiles with the lovely team after, and sent home with clear instructions. Got a text from the doctor that evening letting me know he was available if I had any concerns. Team Gray All The Way!!! 35yo/Male Considered Lasik: 10yrs - booked in 7yrs ago, but ‘pussied-out’ Surgeon: Dr. Trevor Gray + Team (Truly a Team-effort) Pre-Prescription: Right | -1.75 myopia w/ 3.75 astigmatism. Left | -0.5 myopia w/ 4.25 astigmatism. I had a HEAP of astigmatism, which ultimately left me living in some form of 'Blur' even with glasses/contacts. For me, the risks of surgery far outweighed the potential to live the rest of my life as a 'Blur'. It’s technically classed as 'Cosmetic Surgery', but with 35yrs bad eye-sight, to me it was a serious medical surgery. My decision not made lightly, but an effort to gain better quality of life. I wore RGP lenses for 7yrs, which gave me best vision vs soft CL/specs, but I could not surf etc in them, comfort probs in dusty environments, $$$ in solutions, ultimately leading to lesser quality of life, & I couldn't do the things I loved. I had to stop wearing the hard lenses and revert to glasses for 6weeks prior to final surgery. I saw Dr.Grays Team to get a 2nd opinion, after seeing Google reviews, where Dr.Grays name came up over and over with praise from patients. I went to a convenient late-night-Wednesday appointment(brilliant idea), the moment I walked in the door I was being called by my first name, the facilities, reception, toilets, waiting room, staff service is just impeccable! – After that, I cancelled my future appointments with ‘another’ facility, as I decided there and then that I was going to be pursuing the process with Dr.Grays Team at Eye Institute. 5-stars is just not enough... Eye Institute w/Dr.Gray and his Team(Dr. Grey, Frances, Nick, Kyomi, Sam) exceeded all expectations! Best described as ‘5-star hotel service’, everything is professional, and the best medical treatment I have ever experienced. I recommend getting the ‘happy-pill’(Diazepam), it kicks in quickly, and relaxes you. The actual procedure is NOTHING! No pain/discomfort, just a ‘Bizzare’ experience. Over in a short +/-10mins – Walking into surgery, you are greeted by the whole Dr.Gray Team with familiar reassuring voices. My wife got a dedicated viewing room w/After-care optometrist Nick who stood right beside her, explaining the process step-by-step the whole way - That’s service! After, you sit with Nick for 30mins, putting drops in, and inform you on what to expect overnight, do’s/don’ts, post-op info, incl home/mobile numbers for the surgeon and other staff, which is just unheard of! I kept my eyes shut for 17hrs straight until the next day, where I was signed-off to drive, I could definitely see without my contacts/glasses, but it wasn’t until Day 4 when things became much clearer, normal for my High prescription in astigmatism. After-care is amazing, appointments day1/1week/1month/3month, in cases like mine, there is a possibility re-treatment required(own decision) if there is residual prescription – but is not tested until 3-month mark, after all has ‘stabilized’. My result on paper w/both eyes is 20/20, although one eye is stronger than the other, nothing to do with the skills/equipment used, you just have to to compare to how you have always seen, in my case one eye weaker than other, in fact I can see 1-line better than I have ever seen w/ glasses/contacts. Experience with ‘side-effects’ has been good; Night –I have seen the best I have seen at night ever, and has heightened my confidence w/night driving, Halos– Yes, I get them, but very minimal, and very bearable, in fact I used to get worse ones with my RGP contacts. Dry-eye – Yes, to be expected, as you are well warned. It has got better over the last 2weeks, but easily managed with drops So far, the best thing I’ve ever done, and I cannot wait to get out surfing/biking/swimming without having to take rigid lenses out and putting soft ones in, as its already made a huge difference to everyday life, and at work. For me, it is absolutely life changing – and I really hope the ‘Gray Team’ never once take it for granted that they change people’s lives on a daily basis!

Dr Trevor and his team - Nick, Amber, Cherry, Farah, Robin, Susan (and please forgive me if I have missed someone), not only looked after me but also looked after my wife who accompanied me. It was an exceptionally pleasant experience. After my cataract surgery Dr Trevor even called me that night to ask if I am feeling fine, even though I was due for a post-surgery check up next morning. I’m actually so amazed with how easy this was. Anyone that knows me, knows I’m a big wuss for anything medical.. so if I say it’s easy.. it is. 😂 The surgery literally took 5 minutes per eye. It didn’t hurt although one thing was a bit uncomfortable for 40 seconds. It’s more creepy cause you don’t know what’s happening. I had to keep my eyes closed from once the prodedure finsihed besides for walking and eating. They gave me a sleeping tablet to take once home and I had to wear eyeguards until the morning. I basically slept for 12 hours (went to bed just before 7pm) and once I woke up, I took the eyeguards off, put some eyedrops in (antibiotic, anti inflammatory and lubricants) and I saw everything! Like, legit everything. My eyes aren’t painful, just a bit scratchy at times (minimal) but it’s part of the process and should go away soon. I can even drive already. This morning I had my check up and I was able to read all the lines! Even the smallest ones on the eyechart. They said I already have over 20/20 vision and over the week it’s going to improve even more. You know how crazy it is to see everything for someone that couldn’t before?? I am over the moon and awed. This is only day 1 and I already recommend it to anyone who is on the fence! Can’t recommend Re:vision enough either. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and accomodating. My surgeon was super calming and telling me what was going to happen next every step of the way and the nurses were nice and were kind enough to let me squeeze their hand. 😂 They took photos all through the process.

Incredible staff and amazing facility. Everyone was so friendly and warm and the pre/post op care was excellent. Truly 5-star service. It must be their mission to ensure everyone that leaves the place is smiling! Even the follow up, we had texts directly from the doctor to make sure we were OK the same night of the surgery then even a call the next day. I asked a question during my partner's surgery and one of the nurses grabbed an optometrist, he then proceeded to film and narrate the entire surgery for us! The waiting rooms are gorgeous, great coffee and tea and treats, and on our way out, out of sheer curiosity, I asked if potentially I could get a vision test and that was no problem at all, they fit me in right then and there! I was initially planning on getting a few consultants from different clinics, but during my consultation with Re:Vision I knew they were the right choice. The ICL surgery was truly a life changing experience and something I had never ever thought was possible for me. It was painless, quick and I would do it all over again if need be. I went to my first appointment just to "check it out" and see what my options were. The staff were all so lovely, friendly, calm, modern offices and instantly I felt comfortable. After being told my eyes were not suitable for Lasik, ICL was explained to me. I had no hesitations to book it all in on the spot. The explanations were very clear, Dr Mo responsive to my questions and I felt calm. 2.5 weeks later I went in for ICL surgery. Again greeted warmly, friendly and a calm environment. I was soo excited. The theatre room is peaceful, I wasn't scared, just apprehensive because of the unknown. My eyes were numb and I kept my head very still. Once done, I sat up and could instantly see. My eyes used to be -9.00 and -8.75 with two astigmatisms. It was like magic. Dr Mo, Ruth, Fiona and Farah are living day angels/magicians who have brought a whole new lease on life for me and my whanau. I cannot thank them enough. My husband and baby came to sit with me post op. Recovery that day was fine, I just slept and enjoyed listening to music with my eyes closed. Dr Mo called me that night to check I was OK and to answer any questions (which I didn't have). My toddler boys thought my glass eye shields were soo cool, they called me "SpiderMum". The followup appt was a breeze too, easy, friendly welcoming and again I left feeling on top of the world. 24 hours post op I felt 99% normal me but with better than 20/20 vision. The eye drops are a bit stingy but it lasts 10seconds max and is the only uncomfortablr feeling I've had but it passes so quickly. A+++++ service from me to all the team! It took me years to convince myself to do Lasik surgery, and I was worried about the surgery. So I undertook significant research to find the best, Re:vision center, to trust them with my eyes. I was so delighted with all the amiable and diligent staff who welcomed me at all times. Would recommend 10/10! (Or should I say 20/20 because that's my new vision? 😂) I was craaazy nervous about getting my eyes lasered but the whole team at Re:Vision did an amazing job at calming my nerves and talking me through the process. The initial assessment was incredibly comprehensive and they worked well within the margins of what is safe for your cornea. They're also the only place in the country to have this state of the art laser! I needed the PRK procedure, which is known for its slightly longer recovery time and initial post-laser discomfort, BUT it was 100% worth it and through following their comprehensive post-op advice made the recovery so much easier. I've already recommended Re:Vision to a family member who ended up needing the same procedure and has also had a great experience!

I wanted to undergo Refractive Lens Exchange surgery so that I didn't need to wear glasses as I enjoy active outdoor sports such motorcycle trail riding and racing, mountain biking and kayaking and wearing glasses is not ideal when taking part in these sports. My Optometrist recommended that I have the procedures carried out by Dr Trevor Gray of Revision Ltd. I found all the staff at Revision very professional and the surgical procedures were fast and pain free as was my recovery. Less than 24 hours after surgery I was assessed at better than 20:20 vision being able to read all of the lines on the Eye Chart (for distance) and all but the finest line on the reading chart. Staff tell me that my eyesight will further improve in the coming weeks. I am very pleased with the result and would highly recommend this procedure at Revision for those to whom it is appropriate.

I received LASIK laser eye correction and travelled from Hawkes Bay. Thank you to Dr Nick, Dr Mo and the team at Re:Vision. They provided exceptional care and excellent customer service. Re:Vision is very thorough with their assessments and cut no corners. Their facility is extremely modern, clean and equipment is very high tech. All their staff are friendly and most know you by name. They make you feel very important and special. During the surgery, Dr Mo told me what was happening at all times, which I found helpful. They even had a dedicated nurse to hold your hand during surgery! Immediately after the surgery, you are able to see, although eyes are sensitive and watery. I had grittiness in my eyes (expected) but it cleared after 5 or 6 hours. The next day, my vision was 20/20 already. I was especially impressed with Dr Nick, the optometrist who assessed me pre and post op. He is highly qualified and was able to answer every question and address all concerns. He made me feel very comfortable and confident with proceeding with the LASIK. In the last 2 yrs my cataracts had grown fast and my blurry vision was so bad that I couldn't distinguish a 50, 60 or 80 on a road sign clearly until I was close. When I had to change my glasses prescription for the second time in 18 months I was told that I was not bad enough to go through the public system, Specsavers referred us for an assessment with re:vision. The $600 plus cost of the appointment to have my eyes assessed made me gulp a bit, so I went back and talked with my Doctor who had heard good results from Dr Grays' work at re:vision. My husband came with me to the assessment and I could hardly guess the 3rd line from the top of chart, we had previously discussed the possible cost which I thought was a waste of money. The assessment session of where my eyes were currently at and what could happen was amazing, the video showed the blur to what it could be [I was 4 out of 10] My husband booked me in for surgery before we left the building. I had the surgery yesterday and I am lucky to be supported to go home and straight to bed to keep my eyes rested, husband cooked dinner, and I slept for 10hrs. Bit blurry this morning, however by 10am at checkup I could read the bottom line of the chart [guessed 2, got 1 letter wrong]. Don't get me wrong, we were both in disbelief today, I haven't been able to see like this since I was in my twenties! I had an extremely wonderful experience at Re:Vision. Booking an appointment was as easy as it can be & the staff are excellent at managing them. I'd like to thank Dr. Nick for running the assessment to determine if I was a successful candidate. Finally, I'd to thank Dr. Gray and the wonderful surgical team. It's been 2 days now since the procedure, and from the moment I woke up post-surgery, my vision has been great (bit of an under statement). Initially, I had doubts. But after doing some research & reading the testimonials of other patients who had their procedure done, I decided it was an opportune time to bite the bullet. Everything is extremely clear; the trees, the outlines of birds flying, even the windows of an airplane in midflight. Not to mention the fact that I can literally count the stars at night & see them clearly. One thing I highly recommend (best to confirm with the team first) is to take the Zopiclone (or alternative) that is provided ASAP, as in, right as you get into your ride so it take kick in faster & you can hit the bed & be knocked out quicker. In my situation, as the numbing solution wore off, the pain kicked in and I was stuck in traffic. Other than that, no issues post surgery & post follow up check. If you are concerned about after effects such as night time halos, starbursts. Personally, halos are present on specific light sources such as street lamps & starbursts do appear in light sources such as car headlights. Personally, these don't bother me at all & the affects should dissipate throughout the final stages of the healing process. Long story short, I'd do it all over again after having witnessed the complete change in life.

The thought of eye surgery was very scary, and the reality has been life-changing. I really can't put into words how fantastic the Eye institute is. I will say that 5 stars is not enough. I was referred to eye institute for my ilasik surgery. I was told I would be seeing the absolute best of the best, in the best facility around. Everything I was told was 100 percent true. The Remuera clinic is state of the art. The architecture is incredible, as you walk in you will be greeted by the most fantastic staff. You will then take the very polite elevator to whichever floor you need to go to. Once on your appropriate floor you will once again meet more absolutely fantastic staff. The waiting rooms are impeccable, even the bathrooms are perfect. The consultations are above and beyond. As thorough as they could possibly be. When you have your surgery it is done in a state of the art theatre and the staff will make sure you are absolutely comfortable both during surgery and in recovery. Post operative checks are fantastic and as long as you do exactly as they say everything should go fantastic like it did for me. I loved the place so much I wish I had a reason to go back. When I was initially referred to a competitor eye surgery clinic, I was told by my GP to ask specifically for Dr Gray, so when I called and they told me he had passed away (yes this is exactly what I was told) I was disappointed. I had the iLasik surgery in May 2012. It is the best thing I have done!! Really sorry now that I didn't do it sooner. It has been three months now and it is hard to describe the freedom that comes with not having to wear glasses. Very recently, Dr Trevor Gray at Re:Vision Sight Correction Centre removed cataracts from both of my eyes and inserted new lenses. I live in the Central North Island and one of the things I really like about this area is the beautiful hills we are surrounded by. It is so exciting being able to see so much more detail in the distant hills; gullies and ridge lines that didn't stand out before, the distant trees are so crisp and clear and there is a greater 3D effect. Everything seems to have come alive. I'm not using night driving glasses yet but already, night driving is a scary thing of the past. On Tuesday I met the team at the RE-Vision centre where I was booked to have Implantable Contact Lenses (ICL) inserted in each eye. My experience throughout the process, from arriving at reception through the surgery and follow up the next day was of high standard. I'm 67, and have been wearing glasses since my early 40's. I don't have cataracts. I enjoy the outdoors and this surgery provides me with the opportunity to be free of glasses. It's a little 40 hours since my surgery and I'm typing up this report without glasses. The surgery claims to be painless, and I can confirm that's exactly as it was. While completely awake and answering the Surgeon, there was no pain at all, I would describe the experience as better than the dentist...All of the staff that prepared me for the operation, which only took 12 minutes for each eye were caring and empathetic. I have blended lenses, which allows by dominant eye to see distance and my less dominant to see close up. Annie completed all the pre op checks before the Surgeon Trevor Gray met with me and described the procedure and answered any questions that I had. The clinic is located very handy to the Southern Motorway, just off the Mt Wellington off ramp. Parking is free around the building and there's a nice coffee lunch bar close by. If you are still thinking whether you should have the iLasik procedure or not, my advice is DO IT!!! And you will thank me later. I was nervous as hell but Dr Gray's team was so friendly, informative, professional and they really put me at ease. This is by far the best surgery I have ever had in my life. No dry eyes, no pain, no soreness, I didn't need to take any pain killers nor sleeping pills after the surgery and I am not particularly sensitive to the sun. Other than the halo effect at night, and one of my eyes is looking a bit "bloody" (I was expecting two bloody eyes anyway), this has been an absolutely amazing experience (halo/bloody eye will go away soon so I am not worried). I basically went into the theatre room, followed Dr Gray's instructions during the surgery, got taken home and slept for 24 hours, and the next morning I had a 20/20 vision!! I was allowed to drive, read, watch TV..etc, and 3 days later I resumed my excercise routine. Sure, eye drops are a pain in the butt, but I will only need to use them for a month, compared to what I had to put up with when I had glasses, eye drops are like a walk in the park. I know you could pay half of the price and get your eyes done overseas, but how much do you really know about the doctor? There are so many dodgy clinics out door, how do you know you are in good hands? I chose the Eye Institute because at least 10 of my friends have had their eyes done with the EI and they ALL highly recommended it. I couldn't agree with my friends more. If you are looking to correct your eye sight, i.e. no more glasses, choose Dr Gray's team! Thank you Dr Gray, Nick, Frances, Jennifer, Ivy and the rest of the team for your support. You guys are the best of the best, and I will be telling many of my friends about this wonderful experience.

I had ICL surgery just over a week ago and I already feel like a different person. It's fantastic to be able to see clearly without having to wear my old glasses or contacts - total freedom, something I haven't had since I was a kid. No more having to plan ahead to go swimming or to see movies in 3D (the 3D glasses never fit well over my glasses so I had to wear my contacts). I can't wait for summer when I can swim without worrying that I will lose one of my contacts! The surgery was pain-free and so easy - all over in one morning. I was up and about virtually immediately and back to driving within a few days. I would recommend this surgery to anyone who cannot have iLasik done because their corneas are too thin like mine. How I came to the Eye Institute, was via a glowing recommendation from a mutual client. I am a tad wimpy when it comes to my precious eyes... obviously, and working in the health and wellness field, are incredibly meticulous and considered around who, and what happens to me, regarding any area of my health. My experience with the Eye Institute, has also extended over to my son and mothers, and my partners sight needs also, with only the MOST POSITIVE and honest out comes. I have been incredibly short sighted for over 36 years with astigmatism in both eyes and rather early, onset of cataracts. It simply got to the point where no longer could i put off the inevitable. The entire team through out my process have been of the highest quality, they have all been friendly, caring, reassuring, professional and most accommodating at all times. The integrity and sincerity is obvious and genuine. I have felt completely supported, heard and so well informed of all aspects of my treatments. Thanks to Dr Gray, Dr Nick Matthews and his team for the wonderful job they did on my eyes. This procedure is so amazing. I recommend everyone who wears glasses/contacts to go to the eye institute to have their eyes lasered. They look after their patients spectacularly well
